Elsewhere in Los Angeles, Ella Lopez wanders through the streets. She keeps looking at the map in her hand. It's strange for someone who travels to end up lost. It must be how big, and the amount of twists and turns that people can go in a city like this. Ella eventually gets settled down on the bench to get her head right with her location. While she's gathering her thoughts, there's a voice that caught her attention. "Those places look interesting" Ella looked up and noticed a young lady coming from the house nearby. She had dark brown hair with matching coloured eyes. "Yeah, I'm a bit lost. This is my first time being in this city and I had no idea where to go. It's a bit ironic" The young lady leaned a bit closer, "Why's that?" Ella replies, "Well, I'm a traveller. I explore the world and yet, I'm lost here." The young lady laughed "Now I see the irony" Ella looks back at her map and turns back to her new friend. "Do you know where we are" Ella showed the map to the lady and she pointed out where they currently are which helped Ella so much. After Ella thanks her, the lady looks at the little birds in their cages. Ella notices the look on her face. "Is everything alright?" She replied "I just wondering how those green finch and linnet birds, appear to be happy and yet they are trapped. Trapped within those walls" "I take that you are not just talking about your friends there. Aren't you?" "How can you tell?" "I recognise that look. Tell me, have you been exploring?" The lady looks towards Ella with a sad look. "No, I wouldn't be able to leave this place. My caregiver would never let me. It gets very lonely" "I'm sorry. If I may, what's your name?" She smiled "Please, call me Rory" "Well, Rory. I'm Ella." Suddenly, there is a loud call coming from inside the house. "Aurora, get back inside at once!" Just like that, Rory rushed back inside and it made Ella take a step back from a sudden shock. She looked around figuring out what to do until a man stepped out of the door a minute later. He looks tense and authoritative. With his deep voice, he invites Ella to come in.
Ella enters to see the room all filled with books. As she was about to explore to see what the contents were, the man appeared with a drink. "Something piquing your interest?" Ella turns in shock as he just appeared out of nowhere in her view. "Sorry sir" Ella goes towards one of the seats as the man gestures for her to take a seat. "You see, I just arrived in London and I have gotten myself lost" While Ella explained her situation, the man wandered towards his library to check on his books. "It's a little embarrassing really to think that a sailor like myself gets lost when I should know where to go and how to get there. Some routes can be misleading and …" The man gestures to stop Ella from speaking any further. "Sorry sir" He wonders towards Ella with a little cup of tea. "So, a sailor?" Judging by the tone of his voice, she didn't like what she heard but she felt the need to acknowledge him. "Yes sir" He did offer her some tea so she could use that to calm her nerves. "Since when do they let women go out sailing?" While Ella was a little offended, she didn't say anything and let the man carry on speaking. He goes on by bragging about many places. Based on his tone, it's the kind that implies that women couldn't be able to achieve. But in the end, he starts to say something that concerns Ella. "… picking up some little girls away from their families. Is that their way of being a role model" "I think that there is some mistake, sir" "I reckon not" Ella takes a look around as she feels the need to get out of the room. While looking around, she noticed a large picture of the man. It has a plaque on the bottom that reads 'Judge Marcus Pierce'. Ella was shocked when she just realised who is she talking to. She turned back and found Marcus walking slowly towards her and not in a friendly way. "You spoke to my ward. Aurora" Ella was a little scared of what Marcus might be doing. Marcus snapped back with "The little lady that you were talking to" Ella had her eyes wide open when she realised what he might be referring to. He yelled out "Yes, ma'am! You did!" Ella starts to panic "NO! This is a mistake, I wasn't doing anything to her" "Sure you're not and don't mock me." He lunged towards her which made Ella feel more scared than before. Marcus even went all threatening on her. "The next time I see you near my property or even on this street, you will rue the day you were born" He wouldn't risk his reputation so he gestures to the Sinnerman to take Ella outside.
Once outside, he was about to strike her with his cane. Fortunately, there was a citizen nearby which made the Sinnerman think about otherwise. Instead, he explains the directions that Ella needs to get to her destination. After that, he gets close enough which can look like a hug to the citizen but what he's doing is that he whispers a warning of what he might do to her. It made Ella feel unsettling. It even made her think of what the two men could do to that poor lady. She was about to go on her merry way but her mind and heart kept on making her look back to Marcus' house "Oh, Rory. Judging by her reaction, I now know what it feels like to be in there" As she carries on a walk, she starts to decide on her new plan. "I should go back though, I got to help that young lady out."
