Harry and Gabriel walked up the path to Potter manor's front door. It was a huge Victorian style house with farmland on all sides. It had a total of two floors and a basement. As they walked through the door Gabriel said,

"The first floor has a kitchen, living room, and any other essential rooms you may need. Upstairs are the bedrooms. The basement houses a library, dueling grounds, and a potions lab. Make yourself at home." Gabriel walked into the kitchen. Harry on the other hand went down to the basement.

The basement was huge and had three parts as Gabriel had said. He rushed over to the library and started skimming through some of the books. He discovered that there was some dark magic within them. At the bottom of the bookshelf at the edge he found a small book called, "The Dark Magics and How to Use Them" he opened it to a random page and found something called Horcruxes. He read the pages that told him how to make them and what they were. How sometimes if in a living being they could be used as a mental gateway.

"That book will become very useful to you Harry." Gabriel said from behind him. Harry was startled and dropped the book. He turned around and looked down.

"Why is it here if it's dark magic?"

"To combat forces of evil you must know what you're facing." Harry nodded before asking another question,

"If you were awoken from you coma by the spilling of Potter blood, then why didn't you awake during the 11 years at the Dursleys, or my first year at Hogwarts? How could you let me go through that!" Harry was looking at Gabriel, his emerald eyes glowing in the dimness of the room. Gabriel was looking back at Harry with sorrow and said,

"I see that you picked up on that. Well, for most of the first 12 years of your life you have been surrounded by wards. The wards at Privet Drive were infused with Lily's blood, therefore the blood magic was not able to pass through them. Hogwarts wards have been infused with the magic of some of the world's greatest witches and wizards. It was impossible for the magic to alert me."

"I understand the Hogwarts wards now but, if they are technically 'Potter' wards and 'Potter' magic it should work right?"

"I agree Harry it should, but, I don't know a lot about the process. Your mother on the other hand knew the process inside and out." Harry's eyes were still glowing. He could feel his heart beating faster. The flame inside him was burning and he had no control. The books on the bookshelf flew off. A breeze began to whip around. Eventually Harry could do no more and fell to his knees.

"Am I a Horcrux Gabriel?"

"Yes Harry." Harry proceeded to pass out.

Harry woke up in a bed he did not recognize. He looked around quickly and recognized the manor's style. He got ready and headed downstairs. He met Gabriel in the kitchen.

"Are you alright Harry. I can only imagine how sudden last night was."

"I'm fine Gabriel. Before we start training I need to know more about you. I'm going to ask you some questions."

"Fire away Harry."

"Alright first, you said you were from Ghana, could you elaborate?"

"I was born in Ghana in the African branch of the Potter family. I studied magic my whole life and attended a magical school much like you at the age of 11. My parents died fighting in a rebellion when I was 15, leaving me the last remaining member of the African Potters. After that I moved to Britain and attended Hogwarts for the next two years."

"We have some things in common then. How close were you to my parents?"

"I certainly was close to them, especially James. However I wasn't as close to James as Lupin and Black were. Those three were the tightest pack of friends you could ever see. As soon as I graduated I studied abroad and traveled the world. It wasn't till September of 1981 I returned. James had sent me a letter asking for my help in the war."

"Where were you on Halloween of 1981?"

"I was at the order headquarters with Black, that's where we were all night. That was until the wards fell and Potter magic alerted me to James's death. We rushed over but Lily was already dead and Voldemort was gone. You were sitting in your crib crying and Black comforted you."

"Thank you, that's all I wanted to know for now. I'll give you a few minutes to "freshen up" and I will see you downstairs for our first lesson." Harry ran off to the basement and Gabriel said,

"Damn kid."

In the basement Harry stood in the dueling grounds and waited for Gabriel. Harry raised his hand and felt the feeling of the fire. He focused and a flame appeared on his hand. He threw it at a candle on a table and it lit. Harry stared at it and with a thought the candle went out.

"Very good Harry but before you can move further you must review what you have learned at Hogwarts. Pull out your wand and let's begin," Harry pulled out his wand at Gabriel's command, "now let's begin with Wingardium Leviosa."
