"Ayres! What happened here?!"

"It's okay Aunrea, the female- she only-"

The two children talked back and forth quickly.

"I-" Chiaki tried, but well... she was sitting on top of a very passed out elderly gentleman. She carefully removed herself from the situation. The two children... and wasn't that an odd sight? A beast world girl with animal ears and a beast world boy in human form though they both looked about eight years old. "Is... uh... your elder okay?"

Both children stopped suddenly, ears pinned back in fear. "We are going to be in so much trouble."

"The Cave Bear tribe is here and so are the-"

"What if wild beasts are after her?!"

"Did a bird beast drop her?"

"We need to talk to the leaders! Your parents and Ida and Lu Ling!"

"We can't tell all the leaders we found a wild Ogre female!"

As the children argued, Chiaki felt like it might be best to leave. There were obviously several groups of beast people nearby, for what reason she didn't know. But it could be anything from trade to war. She doubted it was war, considering the two children were with one of the groups.

Slowly she inched away from the area, then once they were out of sight Chiaki headed towards the lake and pines in the distance. 'Please, don't let me have been transmigrated to a second world!' She pleaded in her mind. She couldn't feel the mate bond with- she stopped. Her hand was blank. Where was Shuu's mate mark?!

She began to hyperventilate, she checked her legs, her belly, her- None, not a single mate mark on her. She stumbled, making it to the waters edge. She didn't realize she'd made it so far so quickly. Looking in the water it reflected the same face she always saw and she sighed. But now she could see that even Keys mark was not there... the only discoloration to her skin was a round yellow dot between her breasts, just above the top of her dress.

'Tobi!' She thought, he'd have to know what happened. "Tobi! Tobi!" She called out pushing the boundary between the world and the beast god's realm.

~WHO ARE YOU?!~ Came a shocked reply.

"Oh thank the beast god!" She said, not noticing the blue energy her own body gave off at the announcement. "Tobi, what happened? I opened the scroll and I think I got teleported!"

The Voice didn't reply. Then, "Oh my-"

Chiaki found herself pulled into the realm of the beast god, but it was hard to recognize. It looked like an entire giant temple and surrounding city made of marble, it glowed warmly filled to the brim with energy. Tobi stood there, looking the same as always, but he seemed very surprised.

"I did it!" He said, his voice cracking with excitement. "I brought a female here from the world!"

"T-Tobi, are you okay?" Chiaki asked slowly.

"I'm sorry, but I've been trying to contact the females Ida and Lu Ling for years now. Where did you come from, how do you know my name?" He said quickly.

"Tobi, you brought me here." Chiaki looked at him with worry. "What is going on?"

The Voice looked at her then she felt energy wash over her and Tobi squeaked. "Oh, oh my. You are from-" His eyes widened. He held out his hand and the scroll appeared in it. "Yes, this... this..." He closed his eyes. "Then it takes how many years?" He ignored Chiaki trying to get him to finish any of his thoughts out-loud. "Here, keep this." He said and handed the scroll to her. "I'll have to hide all this information from myself until the time you return to me with this scroll."

Chiaki opened the scroll, but unlike the first time, the words were unreadable. "What did you do?"

"It's blocked from you for the moment, please forgive me."

"Then, it isn't a way to revive the beast god?"

Tobi looked away. "It will help you when you return to your home, but where you are now it would only hinder you."

Chiaki rolled the scroll back up. "Where am I anyway?"

"The beast world... twenty three years after the beast god fell into a regenerative sleep." Tobi sighed. "At least, I thought it was a regenerative sleep, but it looks like only regaining the lost power that was stolen will awaken the beast god." He brought up a picture of a woman with tiny deer antlers. "Right now a part of it lies in the female Lu Ling, who with it will live for several thousand years... but she will be gone by the time you first arrive. I thought giving her the power would help, but it seems that while it will keep the world in balance for a time, it is not the answer." The rest of the missing energy-" A black void like shape appeared where the picture of Lu Ling had been. Chiaki could only make out an inky black mass surrounded by dark water. "Lies with the one who devoured the beast god."
