Frankie Pov:
"Clawdeen has a brother. That's life-shattering when you think about it, having a sibling that you didn't know existed and living their life to the point where they didn't know what was missing. I sometimes wonder if my parents wanted to give me siblings, it's not that hard since they have spare parts to build on for me. But this is different since this could mean her father was hiding this from her or that he didn't know about it. Right now, it's serious since the realization caused Clawdeen to pass out and go into an unconscious state. It's left me and Draculaura to figure out the history of our ghoul's mother as well as any information the island's staff have on Clawd Wolf. Especially on how he was able to take down Junior in one move and disappear in an instant, I have a feeling in my bones that there's more to this family discovery. Also, I'm too excited to learn more but hiding it since this is serious."
Morning-Bermuda Resort
Having kept the news of Godzilla Junior's kidnapping silent and not spreading to anyone across the building. Frankie had brought in a whiteboard, papers as well as the information that the owner was able to supply them and the staff who knew him. All in the while making Clawdeen comfortable as they had placed her in bed and made sure she was comfortable in her unconscious state. The reanimated ghoul had spent several hours figuring out when Claw started working here to that of obtaining that crystal that made him disappear with Junior.
"After spending the last few hours drinking energy beverages and eating sweets that would make Heath and Rhodey pass out. I have calculated that this island is impossible to understand."
Frankie responded in a stressed-out tone as they had been at it for hours in deducing the mystery of how Clawd made his appearance known to the staff as well as where he had originally come from. Another issue that was bothering Frankie was the symbol that was left in Clawd's place after he and Junior disappeared, the symbol of an ape paw. Looking over at Clawdeen who looked upset in her unconscious state, they walked over to hold her hand to comfort the half-werewolf in this challenging moment.
"Even if I'm minutes away from unscrewing my bolts and throwing my head out the window, I'm not going going give up on you. And Junior, and the realm. Your dad, Draculaura, half of the Kaiju council that know we're in a polyamorous relationship that will eventually look after everyone in the future!"
Listing the various people that Frankie wouldn't let down to the point where they were stressing themselves to the point they caused the lightbulbs around them to blow up. Making sure none of the fragments landed on Clawdeen, Frankie realized how close they were to her and moved away since it felt embarrassing to act like this. The door opened up to show Draculaura with Venus as the ghouls noticed the destroyed bulbs in the room and Frankie standing in the middle of the room trying to look innocent.
"Let me guess, stressed out?"
The vampire asked Frankie and the ghoul nodded toward her despite their effort to understand what was happening and how this could be resolved. The plant ghoul could tell they were hard at work in learning about Clawd's origin, it was possibly the reason why Draculaura brought her here to see if she could assist them.
"Don't worry, I've already got that handled with our friend here who worked with him. As well as a unique power that no one knows about, right?"
Draculaura told the reanimated ghoul of the extra help that they'd get which caught Frankie's attention since everyone on the island had numerous monster powers that made them special. Almost equal to the Kaiju whenever they wanted to test their powers toward one another, hearing that made Venus blush lightly at the compliment but was unsure if she could help them.
"I don't use it that much since my abilities can be unpredictable. But what I can do first is explain how I met your friend's brother in the beginning."
Venus offered her knowledge about Clawd Wolf before using her plant powers to assist them in knowing about the island as well as the paw print that he left for the ghouls. Taking a second to find a chair and get herself comfortable, Draculaura and Frankie did the same so they could give Venus their full attention since the information they could get from Venus could help them find Junior and learn about Clawdeen's brother.
"I started working on the island last year, my parents believed it be good to stretch my roots and explore the world. Learn about different plant life that was around us, I decided to go small and start here since the resort had a beautiful jungle as well as a place to rest in."
Starting her story about her family wanting Venus to explore the world around them and the unique plant life that inhabited it. Remembering taking the plane and arriving at the Bermuda Island, Venus was introduced to the manager and the staff that welcomed her. During that time, Venus was able to study the flora and fauna of the island along with socializing with the monsters that were hired by Miki.
"During my studies, I met Clawd who was interested in my studies since he valued all types of life on the island. He was the first monster that found my hobby fascinating and offered his knowledge about it, he'd been here longer than anyone else."
Continuing on her research while forming a friendship with the werewolf. Venus felt right at home on the island and had the opportunity to share her interest with Claw as well as everyone else who got to know her better. The two saw Venus's expression of delight in befriending the werewolf was genuine, her face changed to conflicted as there was something that bothered the ghoul during her time working with Clawd.
"The one thing I did notice from the staff was that he kept to himself whenever the tiki people invited us to participate in the activities. He kept to himself and in his room, I tried to invite him but he declined every time."
She brought up what sounded like something they'd had dealt with in the past like when they met Ellis. This could mean he's serving a group that desired Junior much like the witches did with Draculaura and Mira. With that being said and turning her attention to the vampire, it was time for her to explain why she was brought here in with the other ghouls.
"We should get to the main grit of our conversation. Venus's power, it'll help us learn about the island since that ape paw seems to be at the center of this. Right?"
Draculaura asked both ghouls and they agreed that the the werewolf, island and paw were all connected. During the time of the incident and having to return to the building to inform everyone about the incident, the vampire had managed to pick up dirt that had half of the ape paw symbol on it just in case it could be used to aid them. Bringing over a pen and piece of paper toward Venus, Draculaura took a step back which left Frankie confused about what she was about to do with the dirt.
"While I take much joy in learning about plant life by studying them by reading. I can look into their life from the beginning, from when it was a seed to a full-grown tree. Even the dirt is alive with how it feeds the trees around them. But I can't see the entirety of its life, only glimpses of it. I can translate it on paper to the best of my capability."
Venus instructed the two about how her powers worked as they seemed similar to that of a seer. Taking a moment to allow her to mentally prepare herself to communicate with the dirt, Venus gripped her hand slowly around the dirt and focused on learning about its history. Draculaura and Frankie waited patiently to suddenly see the plant ghoul's eyes glowing bright green at how her powers were reacting to the dirt. Having the expression of being possessed, they noticed how Venus's left hand moving on its own and started to draw an illustration of the dirt's past.
"That's amazing! Not even I could do a speedy illustration like that, and my parents got my fingers from Italy."
Frankie complimented her drawing skills as they watched the ghoul's concentration on what she was doing on the paper. Watching Venus's hand move around the paper, she had managed to draw a half-developed jungle to that of the creature that the paw belonged to. The illustration showed an ape that didn't look like the ordinary primates from the human world, it looked more primitive and hostile than an average ape.
"So the creatures that Claw is working with are apes? I didn't see that coming."
Draculaura admitted that the people who'd want vengeance against Gojira would be primates that had originally lived on the island before the tiki people had arrived to make it a home for them. With the drawing done and letting go of the now grumbled dirt, Venus felt out of breath and was about to pass out. Frankie noticed her tiredness and grabbed her a bottle of water since it took a lot out of her to make the drawing for them.
"It doesn't make any sense. There are hundreds of people that Kaiju and monsters who want to fight Gojira or get revenge for how he'd humiliate them since they believe they were stronger than him. I don't think even my dad has ever seen them."
She went on about the grudges that Gojira had made over the past with fights he'd settled before becoming peaceful with help from Pandora. This was new since no one from either the monster or kaiju community had heard of these primates. Draculaura heard movement coming from behind her as it was Clawdeen who woke up and listened to the conversation that the three were having. Taking a moment to stand up and walk over to the drawing, she looked at the image and felt the same feeling when she saw Claw in the hallway.
"We should start getting the right clothes for the trip if we're going to meet them."
Informing them about following after Junior to see where the primates had him imprisoned to that of Clawd. The ghouls watched the hybrid ghoul at work in finding the right clothes for the journey which made Frankie scared since she might be not thinking straight.
"Clawdeen? As much as it would be thrilling to go off on another impending adventure to find one of our own. None of us know what we're stepping into, your brother might be hanging out with an ancient war tribe that has been training to take down Gojira. As well as have weapons that can bring him down, we'd need my father's army if we're going attempt to rescue him."
The vampire princess warned Clawdeen about doing their usual routine of going behind their teachers and parental authorities back to handle their problems. However, what they had witnessed shows they weren't facing a power-hungry teacher or a coven of witches. None of it seemed to phase Clawdeen since she had seen that there was someone like her alive and was forced to take someone she cared for. Not seeing a response coming from her, Draculaura walked over and held both her hands to stop the stubborn werewolf from acting like she was heading into a fight.
"I understand how important family is. My father made it his afterlife's mission to prepare me to one day look after the safety of vampires, but the one thing he taught me was to never get angry. Because that's when you get sloppy and die, especially how I was told about what you did for me at Coleman Eve's."
Explaining one of the rules that Dracula had followed for centuries before becoming a father. Everyone knew about how commanding and powerful his presence was over humanity, even after giving his humanity away to become a vampire. He never let his emotions take over him in battle, no matter what fight he walked into. Along with how Clawdeen did this in the past and risked her life in breaking her out from having her magic drained back at the coven. It made the werewolf stop to see that Draculaura was right.
"I promise you, will get our dino boy back and your brother. All we need is to have a plan and help."
Confirming to her ghoul about how they needed to proceed with this, Draculaura could tell that Clawdeen wanted to go despite venturing to wherever they might at right now. The two heard a subtle cough coming from Frankie as they had an idea of the help that could assist in this rescue mission.
"Already taken care of. Which is lucky for us, because we got to see firsthand how will be ready than before."
Frankie acknowledged with a smile as the trio watched them walk over to the door where they saw two people they didn't think would be brought into this. It was Robecca and Jet Jaguar who Frankie called for assistance and informed the pair about what was happening.
"Before you say anything, Jet wanted to do this after Frankie explained about the kidnapping."
The mechanical girl told her friends as they looked confused about what Robecca was talking about as she allowed the robot to speak his mind in this matter. Waiting to see what the advanced robot would say, Jet did a dynamic pose to show how ready he was to rescue Junior as well as find Clawdeen's brother.
"Design by scientists, fully modified for combat. I am programmed for all threats and prepared for the danger ahead. Let evildoers beware, Jet Jaguar will show them justice for stealing our king!"
Jet Jaguar announced in a flashy manner while doing another pose as Draculaura rushed over to stop him from announcing to everyone that Junior was kidnapped. It didn't stop Frankie from applauding about how eager Jaguar was to help out with the rescue. The vampire looked over at Clawdeen unsure if this was the type of help she thought of, but the wolf girl nodded that if he could stop their plane from crashing into the ocean then this could work to their benefit. Deciding to not say anything but allow their metal friends to assist them, she'd bring in someone who could offer their help in the kidnapping and sibling reunion.
Later-The Jungle
After leaving the resort and keeping a low profile, Clawdeen had handpicked a group of monsters and kaiju that wanted to participate in this journey since it required adapting to hostile territory and witchcraft. It left Draculaura to call in Skelita Calaveras to assist them since the spell that the vampire was about to do needed help. Despite the skeleton ghoul not being as powerful as her fellow witch, it would be enough for the spell. Gathering across the spot where Junior had been taken, the group that would follow them was Clawdeen, Draculaura, Frankie, Robecca Steam, and Skelita with Jet Jaguar as their muscle.
"Just wanted to say this because I don't know if you're coming back. You're nuts, and not the nuts that Frankie uses to keep themselves together. While I know the urgency of royalty kidnapping since my sister drew the attention of half of Egypt. We have a fearleading competition coming up, and I've just grown to enjoy everyone's company."
Cleo informed them about the competition happening and was unable to find anyone to participate on the team since the three ghouls were considerably her best teammates in the group. Deuce settled her down since this was bigger and took the majority due to the consequences of the kaiju realm learning about Junior being taken.
"I already got that handled. Replacements for the team that can handle the formations and keep up the same way we did back at Monster High."
Clawdeen informed her fear-leading captain as she sent her a text from her Icoffin to look at the candidates that would take their spots. There were Lagoona, Titan, and two new members that Cleo barely knew since their arrival to the resort since she'd been too focused on the routines that she'd been planning since their arrival.
"Who in the name of the Sphinx is Gia Gremlin and Venus Mcflytrap?"
The mummy questioned the werewolf and she was shortly answered by her pointing behind the bushes where it singled her new teammates. Coming out were Gia and Venus in new Monster High uniforms that would be worn during the competition, Cleo was surprised by the outfits as they appeared to have been made by Clawdeen to amaze the crowd when they'd do their routine.
"I've stolen things that were nice and shiny back at the airport, but this is the first time I've gotten something that makes me feel like I can steal the world."
Gia commented about her outfit as the others gave her a glare that the uniform was given to her to help with the team while everyone else went off to find Junior and Clawd. With that being said and looking over to her friends, Clawdeen was stopped by Venus wanted to tell her something important before she left.
"If you find Clawd. Tell him that I still consider him a friend and that he come back here anytime he likes. He has people here who consider him a family to the staff."
She told her that no matter what he'd done and why he did it, everyone on the island would accept him for the service he'd done for them. Clawdeen nodded at Venus in keeping the promise as she walked over to the ghouls where they stood with Draculaura and Skelita had spoken to each other about how they'd attempt to follow after Clawd and Junior. The skeleton ghoul brought out a bell with symbols across the side and bone that came attached to it.
"When I first started to learn about witchcraft, I learned that there were many methods of doing it. One of them includes music, I use my family's sacred bell to help with my spells when it comes to making my clothes."
Skelita informed them about her method of using her witchcraft through the bell just like Draculaura when she used her grimoire. Handing the bell and bone over to the vampire, she studied the object and could feel the magic that Skelita had used on it for small spells that she'd perform for herself. Her fellow witch needed to bring it to her since it would be required for what they'd be doing to follow Clawdeen's brother.
"The one way we have a chance to find the two is by singing an incantation. Many witches called it the 'Witches' Road', said to be a pathway to one's deepest desires. While the spell requires five witches, you both share a bit of my magic after the time we've spent together. Robecca? Can channel it since it would be considered energy."
Draculaura explained to the ghouls about the method they'd used to travel which required five witches with a large amount of magic. Luckily, the three ghouls that the vampire and skeleton witches had were capable enough to make the spell work. The others who watched took a step back as they watched the ghouls circle the paw print that Clawd left behind as it would be the doorway for them to travel through. Holding the bell high for them to see, Draculaura hits it once making it echo across the jungle.
"Seekest thou the Road to all that's foul and fair. Gather sisters fire, water, earth, and air."
She started to sing softly as the air went silent with her voice taking over. Just as everyone watched the vampire witch starting the spell, Skelita gestured for the others to circle the paw print with each of them holding hands. Jet Jaguar wasn't required to but had to stay close if he wanted to join them when the spell was complete.
"Darkest hour, wake thy power. Earthly and divine, burn and brew with coven true and glory shall be thine."
Skelita and Draculaura sang together as their voice started to affect the jungle around them. It made the animals howl and shout toward the singing as well as caused the trees to surround them in shadow. Mira who watched with her brother and the others felt a small amount of magic brewing but didn't step in since it was the only way to find the boys.
"Down, down, down the road, down the Witches' Road. Down, down, down the road, down the Witches' Road. Down, down, down the road, down the Witches' Road. Circle sewn with fate, unlock thy hidden gate."
They continued the ballad with Clawdeen and Frankie joining in as the more they sang the song, they were able to recite the words. Just as Draculaura hits the bell a second time, they don't notice the leaves falling off the trees due to their singing. Venus comforted the trees while watching the singing continue, not knowing how the spell could affect the environment around everyone.
"Marching ever forward 'neath the wooded shrine. I stray not from the path; I hold Death's hand in mine. Primal night giveth sight familiar by thy side. If one be gone, we carry on spirit as our guide."
Calling out for the spirits of their loved ones to aid them in this journey as they didn't know what they'd be taking. Robecca was the only one that didn't sing as she felt that it wouldn't work for her since she was a robot. Just as she was doubting herself, she started to feel an unusual energy going through her body that came from Frankie and Clawdeen as she was able to recite the song with everyone.
"Down, down, down the road, down the Witches' Road. Down the Witches' Road, down the Witches' Road. Down, down, down the road, down the Witches Road."
Repeating the words numerous times as the atmosphere started to affect their friends at how they were preparing themselves for the trip. Cleo herself started to feel the magic brewing from the bell that Draculaura had been hitting as each time she hit it, her magic was being transferred into it.
"Blood and tears and bone. Maiden Mother Crone."
Draculaura brought the three stages of a ghoul's life before slamming the bell onto the ground causing it to shake. Grabbing onto her friend's hands, the others saw the paw print being affected by their singing as cracks started to appear underneath their feet.
"The road is wild and wicked, winding through the wood. Whеre all that's wrong is right and all that's bad is good. Through many miles of tricks and trials we'll wander high and low! Tame your fears, a door appears. The time has come to go!"
The five sang loudly to make the spell work as the cracks started to grow bigger to the idea of the island breaking apart. Caesar not taking the chance for Cleo to be caught in the spell, the Shisha boy grabbed her and Deuce and leaped onto the tree while Mira helped Venus and Gia so they weren't dragged in as well. Their singing started to make all five ghouls emit a unique aura around them as they watched Skelita's bell floating in the air.
"Down, down, down the road, down the Witches' Road. Down the Witches' Road, down the Witches' Road. Down, down, down the road, down the Witches Road!"
Repeating the words as they saw the bell start to glow brightly as it opened a portal in front of them. It started to suck everything from plants and rocks, Jet Jaguar did his best to not be thrown in as he noticed himself giving off an aura like the ghouls as he was flung into it. Everyone else who watched from the trees saw the five ghouls suddenly letting go of their hands and staring at the doorway with a composed look on their faces.
"Follow me, my friend. To glory at the end."
Announcing them achieving victory before stepping into the doorway at the same time. With the spell complete, the gateway disappeared leaving the bell to drop toward the ground. Taking a moment to get down from the trees carefully, the others hoped that they'd return safely with Junior and Clawdeen's brother while avoiding getting into trouble. It was the best they could do since none of them knew where the spell had taken them, only that they would need to mentally prepare themselves for what they'd expect on the other side.
