Chapter 187 Do I belong
I don't own Kamen Rider Ryuki or Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir.
At Mirror world, the place was empty as the only people that live are the mirror monsters or the counterparts.
Mari also known as Mirror Marinette was sitting at the rooftop of her house looking out to the sky.
She was thinking about her own life and how she came, she made some friends but she can't truly live in the other world as she's just the mirror.
Mari goes to the eiffel tower to watch the sun from there.
Feast, Lighteye and her advent beast Azusher go to her side. She patted her peacock as they were her only companions here.
"Marinette, your truly lucky." She said.
She wanted to be there, but even if she changes her face, she can't live on that world as this is where she belongs.
"One day I might have my own family."
She then walks around the tower while singing a song she made.
Memories fade
And you awaken.
Your just a shadow of a heart long forgotten.
Still incomplete
Wandering who you are?
What does my path mean?
Caught in a daydream.
Following my own destiny's light.
Friendship and trust.
The taste of ice cream
The sun is setting
Familiar like a memory
Who am I now?
More than a shadow
Still something is missing
A sound for a heart to beat
Maybe one day i'll be complete
Lost and distraught
Do I belong here?
Answered questions
Knowldge I desire
Friendship and love
Failing apart
I pick up the pieces
So i can become whole
But everything is still not complete
Many things have happened
They don't make sense yet
Maybe i'll understand
When her time ends
I will follow
Will I be lost?
Or will I become whole?
The journey will end
She looks down as she wonders where her place belongs.
Her partners follow her as she goes down the tower, walking down the empty streets and she saw Marinette hanging out with her friends.
She smiles at her since that's where she belongs.
"Be happy Marinette."
She knows when Marinette's time ends, she will end too. It was the fate of all mirror counterparts. To be connected to they're other halves but when they're time comes they will vanish.
"It is our fate. Nothing can change that, we are bound to them." Mari said.
She follows Marinette and the others as they went to the Seine, she watches them from the water as it was the best to see them.
Mari reaches out to the girls but pulls back her hand since she can't see them.
"I am the hero Azurite, that's all I need. Pretending to be someone else won't help me find my real friends."
As Azurite that is herself, as it was her own hero form, and not be known as Ladybug. So when they see Azurite, they see Mari herself.
"I am not Marinette, I can never replace her or be her. Her friends were built through her own effort."
The only person that could be a brother is evil, as Toxic was someone that would never be close to her.
Jin's counterpart is pure evil and she would never be close to that monster.
Mari follows Marinette as she wants to be closer to her the most. As she and Ladybug are always happy to see each other.
Marinette waves by at her friends as they leave. She then looks down and saw Mari looking down and not reflecting her.
"What?" She got surprised.
Mari looks and pulls her in through the water as they went to Mirror world.
"Okay!" Marinette backs away scared.
"Wait." Mari said.
"Don't hurt me."
Mari holds her face. "No, it's me."
Marinette blinks. "Azurite?"
"Yes, you remembered." Mari smiles.
Marinette got up. "But, that's..."
"No one is here, we can talk. Just us." Mari said.
"Well that's good, but to think we can see each other." Marinette said.
"Yes, I always wanted to see you." Mari said.
Marinette smiles as they sat a bench.
"So, you were all alone." Marinette said.
"Yes, I wish I could be like you. Be outside and have my own friends. But this world is empty." Mari looks down.
Marinette frowns feeling bad before she hugs her. Mari got surprised by what she did.
"I understand you feel lonely. Honestly being a guardian has been tough." Marinette said.
"Yeah, Fu gave you that responsibility." Mari said.
"So what do I call you?" Marinette asked.
"Oh, just Mari."
"Okay, Mari." Marinette smiles.
Mari smiles back before she helps her go home.
"I'll try to visit you." Marinette said.
"I'll always be by your side." Mari waves before going back.
Marinette watches her through the reflection as they walked back home together. She arrives at her room and she looks at a mirror.
Mari was there waving and she waves back at her.
"Who are you waving Marinette?" Tikki asked.
"At her." Marinette said.
The kwamis saw Mari as she waves at them.
"Is that the other you?!" Tikki said.
"Yes, I can trust her since, well she's me." Marinette said.
"Well if anyone would know who you are right away it would be her." Tikki said.
Mari lies down on her bed as she smiles, she promise to help against Shadow Moth, as her powers are needed to fight the sentimonsters.
"I will protect them from the Peacock miraculous. As it's what I was made from and will become the hero against it."
She might find her own hero, the one that can bring her happiness, but that's a long way to find her own knight.
