Chapter 5
Naruto stood in the strange, otherworldly landscape, the weight of the second letter still heavy in his hand. The coarse, almost oppressive spiritual air of this new dimension prickled at his senses. He glanced around, taking in the oddly structured passage he had arrived in—large, towering gates of ethereal light—and felt the subtle pull of immense spiritual energy in the distance.
Yamamoto Genryūsai's imposing figure was standing 30 feet infront of it. The old captain's reiatsu felt like a roaring inferno, commanding attention without words. In one hand, he held a sealed scroll, its edges tinged with faint, swirling energy. The sheer presence of the man made Naruto instinctively prepare for combat, though he refrained from making any rash movements.
He glanced at Yamamoto, whose imposing presence and stoic demeanor were unshaken by the surreal surroundings.
"So, gramps," Naruto started, tilting his head as he held up the second scroll between two fingers. "You gonna explain why I've got a penpal from the future? Or are we just gonna keep playing the silent game?"
The First Division Captain's stern eyes flicked to the scroll in Naruto's hand before returning to the younger man's face. "You jest, but the gravity of this situation requires your full attention. These letters are not mere relics—they are warnings. Their content could shape or destroy the future."
Naruto raised an eyebrow, his other hand casually scratching the back of his head. "Warnings, huh? Sounds like my kinda mess. So, what's this scroll got to say? 'Dear Naruto, don't punch Aizen in the face'? 'P.S., avoid the crazy cat lady'?"
A faint twitch in Yamamoto's mustache betrayed the slightest hint of irritation. "This is no time for levity, Uzumaki. The first letter I gave you revealed your arrival here was anticipated 12 years ago. This one," he gestured to the scroll in Naruto's hand, "was written a year later in that same timeline. Both documents reference the Senkaimon and include precise details about the events leading up to and following your appearance."
Naruto frowned, his teasing demeanor slipping. "Alright, old man, I'm listening. If these letters know what's going on, then I've gotta admit… this is a whole lot weirder than the usual."
Yamamoto's hand tightened on his cane as he continued. "The future these letters describe is both hopeful and dire. Aizen's plans, the upheaval of Soul Society, and your presence as an unpredictable variable—it all hinges on your choices, Uzumaki."
Naruto's eyes narrowed, his jaw clenching as memories of time-traveling during the Sāra incident resurfaced. The confusion, the weight of responsibility, and the lingering fear of missteps that could doom the future—it was all too familiar. "And lemme guess," Naruto said, his tone hardening, "I'm supposed to play hero again, right? Step in, save the day, and somehow not mess up the timeline?"
Yamamoto studied him carefully, his silence confirming Naruto's suspicions. The red-haired shinobi sighed, tossing the scroll up before catching it and twirling it, tapping his chine in thought..
"Fine. What's the plan?"
"First, you must enter this portal," Yamamoto lead into closer to the building without a word. "Find the dragon causing the riddles in the timeline, slay it, and return." The old man's eyes opened slightly, a pointed look. "However, you must beware, this portal… is not stable, and if you do not return in time, you will be lost to the future."
Naruto approached the base of the towering building, its damaged structure groaning under the strain of its spiritual framework. Sparks of Reiatsu flared erratically along its surface, a stark reminder of the recent battle that left the gate barely functional. He stared up at the shimmering portal with a mix of curiosity and frustration.
"Really?" Naruto scratched the back of his head, his red hair catching the sunlight. "You're telling me this thing can't even open to the right spot?"
"I told you this was a bad idea," Kurama rumbled in his mind. "Now we're stuck relying on these amateurs. If they had proper chakra control, this would've been fixed already."
"Not helping, Kurama," Naruto muttered, glancing over his shoulder, he saw seemingly appear out of nowhere, Suì-Fēn. Her usual stern expression was etched into her face, though there was a flicker of concern in her eyes.
"Uzumaki," she said sharply, tossing him a tightly wrapped package. "Here. This contains everything you'll need in the Western Branch. Documents, currency, and a map of Reverse London. You're going in blind, so try not to embarrass us."
Naruto caught the package with ease, his lips curving into a smirk. "You'll miss me, won't you, Suì-chan?"
Her scowl deepened. "Don't push it."
The captain turned her back on him, barking orders at the technicians scrambling to stabilize the gate. Naruto looked down at the package and sighed, unsealing it with a small burst of chakra. Inside were neatly organized papers, a strange black card stamped with a sigil resembling a dragon, and a guidebook titled Welcome to Reverse London: What You Need to Know About Dragons.
"Dragons, huh?" Naruto said aloud, flipping through the guide. "This is gonna be interesting."
"Interesting isn't the word I'd use," Kurama muttered. "More like annoying. They don't even let you touch the dragons? What's the point?"
Naruto shook his head with a chuckle, tucking the items into his satchel. He turned back to the portal, which was now flickering with faint light. It wasn't stable, but it would have to do.
"Naruto." Suì-Fēng's voice was softer now, drawing his attention. She hesitated for a moment before continuing, "You're strong, but be careful. The Western Branch is… different. Their rules won't always make sense, and they don't take kindly to outsiders breaking them."
Naruto gave her a reassuring grin. "Don't worry, I've got this. And if something goes wrong… well, I'll improvise."
Naruto tumbled out of the portal, a swirl of distorted light dumping him unceremoniously into open air thousands of feet above the city of London. The sensation was all too familiar by now.

"I HATE PORTALS!"
Naruto screams, manly-screamed, tore into the open sky as gravity took hold. His arms and legs flailed around as he plummeting down, spinning rapidly.
"NEVER AGAIN!"
It took a collective 30 seconds briefly before he stabilized, spreading his limbs wide to slow his descent.
Kurama's laughter echoed in his head. "Maybe if you landed gracefully for once, you'd stop looking like a squawking bird every time this happens!"
"Yeah, laugh it up, fuzzball," Naruto growled as he squinted down below.
His descent afforded him a breathtaking view of this so called "London"—or rather, two Londons. He could see the sprawling urban labyrinth of Front section, a modern city full of narrow streets and towering buildings, and the greener, sprawling "Reverse London" where magic thrummed visibly in the air.
But what caught his eye—and caused his trademark grin to spread—was the massive black dragon in the middle of a street, seemingly roaring at some people.
"Oh, now this I can work with," he muttered, punching a fist into his palm. "Kurama, if I'm going to crash-land, might as well make it one to remember!"
"You're insane, brat" Kurama said flatly, though his voice betrayed a hint of amusement. "But fine. You've got my chakra. Don't miss."
Naruto streamlined his body, angling toward the dragon like a meteor. As he plummeted faster, his grin widened, his leg outstretched, foot poised, and intent very much clear.
"Dynamic Entry!"
The dragon turned its massive head toward the shouting, just in time for Naruto's foot to collide with its snout.
The resulting shockwave rattled windows on both sides of London with a resounding thunderous boom.
The beast was launched like as if it was comically light, it's face smashing into the ground with a WHAM before bouncing back up and quickly coming back down, clearly nearly out cold.
After several second of laying in defeat, having being almost literally flattered to death by the comet that was Naruto, The Dark Dragon shakily rose up, his eyes of red gleaming, and roared, its black scales rippling with malevolent energy as it bore down on Naruto. The towering creature's glowing red eyes locked onto the grinning shinobi, whose only response was to crack his knuckles and step forward with unshakable confidence.
Naruto took one look at the oversized lizard and smirked. "Alright, big guy," he said, slamming his fists together. "No chakra, no fancy jutsu. Just me and my fists. Put 'em up!"
"This is either going to be really impressive or really stupid," Kurama muttered, but Naruto didn't care.
The dragon lunged, its claws raking through the air toward him. Naruto sidestepped with ease, his movements precise and fluid, honed through years of training under A and Bee. He ducked under the massive swing and landed squarely in front of the beast's chest.
"That all you got?" Naruto taunted, planting his feet. "Here, let me show you how it's done!"
With a thunderous roar of effort, Naruto drove his fist into the dragon's scaled torso. The impact reverberated like a cannon blast, sending a visible shockwave rippling through the creature's body. The dragon staggered backward, its roar of pain echoing through the alley.
Naruto didn't stop there. He was a blur of motion, darting under the dragon's snapping jaws and hammering its legs with powerful kicks. Each strike landed with enough force to crack the stone beneath the dragon's feet, making the creature stumble as it struggled to keep up with his speed.
"Come on, keep up!" Naruto shouted, dodging another swipe of its claws. He jumped onto the dragon's back with a powerful leap, grabbing one of its horns for balance.
The dragon thrashed, trying to shake him off, but Naruto held firm. "Not so tough now, huh?" He grinned, driving an elbow into the base of its neck. The beast roared, bucking harder, but Naruto leaped off with a graceful backflip, landing in front of the stunned Wing Bind members.
One of them stared, slack-jawed. "Did… did he just punch a dragon into submission?"
Another member, still gripping his weapon, nodded slowly. "Yeah. Yeah, he did."
Naruto raised a hand to the crowd, flashing a confident grin. "That's what happens when you
The Dark Dragon wasn't done yet. It roared, summoning a blast of dark energy in its maw. The attack lit up the alley with an eerie glow, sending debris flying as the dragon prepared to unleash its fury.
Naruto stood his ground, rolling his shoulders. "Alright, big guy. One last round."
As the dragon fired its beam, Naruto dashed straight into it. His muscles rippled as he braced against the raw force, fists clenched and feet digging into the ground. With a primal yell, he pushed through the beam, closing the distance in seconds.
The dragon's eyes widened in disbelief as Naruto appeared in front of it, arm cocked back. "Night-night, scaly!"
With a devastating uppercut, Naruto drove his fist into the dragon's jaw. The force sent the creature hurtling into the sky, its massive body disappearing into the clouds before crashing down in the distance with a deafening thud.
Naruto dusted off his hands, turning back to the stunned Wing Bind members. "So, do I get some kind of badge for that? Or maybe a free meal?"
The leader of the group stepped forward, his face a mixture of awe and bewilderment. "Who the hell are you?"
Before the Naruto could respond, a familiar dragon-shaped badge on the man who asked him uniform began glowing. A holographic screen appeared in midair, displaying the face of a young woman with blonde hair tied in pigtails.
"Oi, what's going on over there?" the woman barked, her voice dripping with annoyance. "Why am I seeing reports of a civilian beating a dragon senseless? That's not exactly standard protocol."
Naruto leaned in, squinting at the projection. "Who's the loudmouth?"
The woman's eyes narrowed. "I'm Ninny Spangcole, Wing Bind's Pipers Division. And you've got some explaining to do, buddy."
Naruto smirked, crossing his arms. "Sure thing, Spangcole. Just point me to wherever the big shots hang out, and I'll clear it up."
The Wing Bind members exchanged uneasy glances. One of them stepped forward hesitantly. "You'll need to report to headquarters… but, uh, it might take a while to process this."
Naruto shrugged. "No rush. Just tell me where the dragons hang out—I might as well find something to do while I'm waiting."
As the group began escorting him toward the heart of Reverse London, Naruto couldn't help but grin. This new world was shaping up to be a lot of fun. And if there were more dragons to punch? All the better.
"You're going to get yourself banned from this place, you know," Kurama said, sighing.
"Yeah," Naruto replied, his grin widening. "But at least I'll go down swinging."
Naruto strode alongside the Wing Bind members, hands behind his head, whistling as they led him toward Reverse London headquarters. The bustling streets caught his attention—dragons of all sizes perched atop buildings or flew lazily through the skies, completely at ease among the city's inhabitants. It was unlike anything he'd ever seen, and he couldn't help but grin at the absurdity of it all.
Ahead of him, the holographic projection of Ninny Spangcole shimmered before fizzling out. Moments later, a real voice pierced the air.
"You're the idiot who thought it was a good idea to punch a dragon?" The voice was sharp and dripping with irritation, and Naruto turned to see her.
Ninny Spangcole stood with her arms crossed, a scowl plastered on her face. She was every bit the firecracker he had expected, her green eyes blazing with annoyance. Her messy blonde pigtails swayed as she stepped closer, her plaid cape catching a breeze as she moved. Her height—just a foot shorter than Naruto—only made her fiery demeanor more amusing to him.
Naruto's grin widened as he took in her appearance. "Yup, that's me," he said, offering a casual wave. "Naruto Uzumaki. Resident dragon puncher and—" He paused for effect, shooting her a wink. "—your future boyfriend."
The Wing Bind members behind him froze, staring in horror at his bold declaration. Ninny's scowl deepened, her face flushing red as she stepped right into his personal space.
"Excuse me?" she snapped, poking a finger into his chest. "Did I hear that right, or are you just as stupid as you look?"
Naruto chuckled, brushing her finger aside with a laugh. "You heard me. You're feisty, short, and kind of cute. What's not to like?"
"Brat, you're going to get yourself slapped," Kurama grumbled in his mind, though he sounded mildly entertained.
Ninny's eyes narrowed dangerously, but instead of slapping him, she smirked. "Cute? That's rich coming from someone who looks like he fell out of a bad action movie."
Naruto placed a hand over his heart, feigning a wounded expression. "Ouch, straight to the heart. But you know what they say—love hurts."
That was it. Ninny's temper flared, and she reached for the Witch Kit holstered on her thigh. "I don't know who you think you are, but you're about to learn a thing or two about—"
"Whoa, whoa, easy there!" Naruto said, raising his hands in mock surrender. "I'm just joking. Well, mostly. But seriously, punching things is kind of my thing. I figured you'd be impressed."
"I'm impressed, all right," Ninny retorted, glaring up at him. "Impressed that someone can be this obnoxious."
Naruto laughed again, genuinely enjoying her fiery attitude. She reminded him of Sakura, but there was something undeniably charming about her smaller frame and the way she carried herself. It was like she had something to prove, and he respected that.
Plus, her reactions were hi-la-ri-ous.
"Alright, Spangcole, you've got me figured out," he said, stepping back to give her some space. "But admit it—you like me a little bit already, don't you?"
Ninny scoffed, rolling her eyes. "Yeah, sure. And dragons are just overgrown puppies. Now shut up and follow me. Headquarters isn't far, and I don't have all day to babysit you."
She turned on her heel and marched ahead, her cape swishing behind her. Naruto followed with an easy smile, his hands stuffed into his pockets.
"She likes me," he said to himself, loud enough for Ninny to hear.
"Shut up!" she snapped without looking back, her ears turning red.
"This is going to be fun," Kurama said, his tone dripping with sarcasm.
"Oh, definitely," Naruto replied mentally. "She's got spunk. I like that."
As they walked, Naruto couldn't help but wonder what other surprises Reverse London had in store for him—and how long it would take to win Ninny over.

Naruto and Ninny continued down the bustling streets of Reverse London, their dynamic immediately drawing attention. Ninny's quick strides and agitated muttering contrasted with Naruto's leisurely pace and persistent grin. The Wing Bind members trailing behind exchanged uneasy glances, silently praying their fiery colleague wouldn't blow up on their new guest.
"So, Spangcole," Naruto began, falling into step beside her, "what's the deal with this place? Dragons, magic, hidden cities… pretty wild stuff."
Ninny shot him a sharp look, her green eyes narrowing. "What's the deal with you? You show up out of nowhere, punch a dragon into next week, and now you're strutting around like you own the place. Who even are you?"
Naruto smirked, rubbing the back of his head. "Told you already—Naruto Uzumaki. Hero, shinobi, dragon puncher, future boyfriend—"
"Don't push your luck!" Ninny snapped, her cheeks flushing as she spun on him. "You're lucky I don't knock you out right here."
"Feisty," Naruto teased, leaning closer. "I like that."
Ninny groaned, throwing her hands up. "Unbelievable! How are you even real?"
"Hey, don't be like that," Naruto said, stepping back with a grin. "You're fun to mess with. Reminds me of home."
"Fun? You think this is fun?" Ninny muttered under her breath, turning away from him. "You're the most irritating guy I've ever met…"
As they approached Wing Bind headquarters, the atmosphere shifted. The towering spire loomed above the city, its ornate architecture gleaming with magical energy. Dragons soared around its upper levels, and rows of uniformed members moved in and out of the massive front gates.
Ninny stopped abruptly, turning to Naruto with a pointed glare. "Listen, Uzumaki, you're in my world now. That means you follow my rules. No stupid stunts, no running off, and definitely no punching anything unless I say so. Got it?"
Naruto crossed his arms, his grin softening into something more genuine. "Got it. Lead the way, boss."
For a moment, Ninny looked almost surprised by his compliance. She nodded, her expression softening ever so slightly. "Good. Try not to embarrass me."
As they entered the headquarters, Naruto's eyes widened. The interior was a blend of modern technology and ancient craftsmanship, with glowing sigils lining the walls and intricate runes carved into the marble floors. Dragons of various sizes and shapes moved through the space, some escorted by handlers while others roamed freely.
"Wow," Naruto said, his gaze darting around. "This place is something else."
Ninny smirked despite herself. "Impressive, isn't it? This is the heart of Wing Bind. Every dragon-related issue in Reverse London gets handled here."
"So, you're kind of a big deal, huh?" Naruto said, nudging her playfully.
"Obviously," Ninny replied, brushing off his comment with mock arrogance. "Now come on. We need to debrief before you cause any more trouble."
Before Ninny could lead Naruto to the debriefing room, an alarm blared through the building. Red lights flashed along the walls, and a voice crackled over the intercom.
"Emergency alert: Dark Dragon sighted near the South Gate. All available Pipers and Martyrs, report immediately!"
Ninny groaned, pinching the bridge of her nose. "Of course. Of course this happens now."
Naruto perked up, his grin returning. "Sounds like a good time. Let's go!"
"Absolutely not," Ninny snapped, stepping in front of him. "You're not authorized to—"
But Naruto was already moving, weaving through the crowd with ease. Ninny let out a string of curses before chasing after him, her cape billowing behind her.
"Uzumaki! Get back here!" she yelled, drawing the attention of everyone nearby.
Naruto didn't stop, his excitement building as he approached the South Gate. The streets beyond were already cordoned off with glowing barrier tape, and the unmistakable roar of a dragon echoed in the distance. Civilians scrambled for cover as Wing Bind members prepared for battle.
Standing at the edge of the chaos, Naruto turned to Ninny, who had finally caught up to him, looking furious.
"You're impossible," she huffed, hands on her knees. "What part of 'no stupid stunts' didn't you understand?"
"Relax," Naruto said, rolling his shoulders. "I've got this."
"Got what? You don't even know what you're dealing with!" Ninny protested, but her words fell on deaf ears as Naruto leapt over the barrier tape and sprinted toward the dragon.
The Dark Dragon was larger than the one Naruto had fought earlier, its black, scaly body rippling with dark energy. It towered over the buildings, its glowing red eyes scanning the street for its next target. Wing Bind members were trying to contain it with spells and barriers, but the creature shrugged off their efforts with ease.
Naruto landed in front of the beast, cracking his knuckles. "Alright, big guy. Round two."
The dragon roared, lunging at him with its massive jaws. Naruto dodged effortlessly, his movements sharp and precise. He planted his feet and swung a devastating punch into the dragon's snout, sending it staggering backward.
"That all you've got?" Naruto called, his grin widening. "I trained with the best, remember? You're nothing compared to—"
The dragon roared again, cutting him off as it charged. Naruto met it head-on, his fists a blur as he delivered a flurry of strikes that echoed like thunder through the street.
From behind the barrier tape, Ninny watched the spectacle with a mix of awe and frustration. She crossed her arms, muttering to herself. "Idiot. Reckless, stupid idiot. Why is he so damn…"
Her words trailed off as Naruto landed a final blow, sending the dragon crashing to the ground. He turned back to her, giving a thumbs-up and a cocky grin.
"Piece of cake!" he called.
Ninny sighed, her face turning red. "This is going to be a long day
The Dark Dragon recovered slowly, thrashed wildly, its claws raking against the cobblestones as closed the distance between it and Naruto. Its piercing roar rattled the windows of nearby buildings, sending civilians scrambling for cover and Wing Bind members clutching their weapons in uncertainty.
Naruto smirked, weaving past another swing of the dragon's claws. "You're just mad because you're losing to someone without magic," he quipped, darting behind the beast.
With a leap that defied gravity, Naruto landed on the dragon's back, his arms snaking around its thick, scaly neck. His powerful muscles flexed as he tightened his grip, locking the dragon into an unrelenting chokehold.
"Alright, big guy," Naruto grunted, his grin widening. "Time for you to take a nap!"
The dragon let out a strangled roar, thrashing harder in a desperate attempt to throw him off. Its massive tail swung wildly, smashing through a nearby wall and sending rubble flying, but Naruto held firm.
Ninny stood frozen behind the barrier tape, her green eyes wide with disbelief. "He's choking out a dragon," she muttered, her voice laced with equal parts shock and exasperation. "What kind of lunatic is this guy?"
The Wing Bind members beside her were equally stunned, their mouths agape as they watched Naruto wrestle the massive creature into submission. One of them finally spoke, his voice trembling. "Is… is that even allowed?"
Ninny turned on him, her temper flaring. "Of course it's not allowed! Who the hell even does that?"
Naruto's voice carried over the chaos, cheerful and unconcerned. "Come on, Firecracker! Don't act like you're not impressed!"
Ninny's face flushed red as she shouted back, "I'm not impressed! I'm horrified! Let go of it before you get yourself killed, you idiot!"
The Dark Dragon's thrashing slowed as Naruto's chokehold took its toll. The beast let out one last feeble growl before its massive body slumped to the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust as it landed. Naruto released his grip, hopping down with a satisfied grin as the dragon's glowing eyes dimmed.
"There we go," he said, dusting off his hands. "Nice and easy."
"You really have a talent for making things ridiculous," Kurama remarked dryly in his mind. "A headlock? Seriously?"
"Hey, it worked, didn't it?" Naruto replied mentally, his grin unshaken.
The Wing Bind members cautiously approached the fallen dragon, their weapons still drawn. One of them poked at the unconscious beast with his staff before turning to Naruto.
"You… you actually put it to sleep," he said, his voice incredulous.
Naruto shrugged. "Told you. I'm good at this stuff."
Before the Wing Bind members could say anything else, Ninny stormed forward, her cape swirling dramatically behind her. She jabbed a finger into Naruto's chest, her green eyes blazing.
"Are you insane?" she demanded. "What part of 'don't do anything stupid' didn't you understand?"
Naruto grinned down at her, utterly unfazed. "I understood, but I didn't agree. Besides, I saved the day, didn't I?"
"That's not the point!" Ninny snapped, her voice rising. "You can't just jump in and start… wrestling dragons! There are rules here, you idiot!"
Naruto leaned closer, his grin turning playful. "Rules are overrated. You gotta admit, though, I looked cool."
Ninny's face turned even redder, and for a moment, it looked like she might explode. Instead, she spun on her heel and marched away, muttering under her breath. "Unbelievable. Absolutely unbelievable."
"She likes me," Naruto said, loud enough for her to hear.
"I hate you!" Ninny shot back over her shoulder, though the faint blush on her cheeks betrayed her words.
As the Wing Bind members worked to secure the unconscious dragon, one of them hesitantly approached Naruto. "Uh… thanks for the help. But, uh… you're probably gonna have to explain this to the higher-ups."
Naruto waved him off. "No problem. I'm great at explaining things."
Ninny scoffed from a few feet away. "You're great at causing trouble, that's what you are."
Naruto turned to her with a cheeky grin. "Trouble's my middle name. And hey, if this is what Reverse London's all about, I think I'm gonna like it here."
Ninny groaned, pinching the bridge of her nose. "This is going to be a nightmare."
