The Nuclear Blast That Shook The Earth
He fell towards the ground, shaken by the effects of the blast.
Within moments, Gamera collided with the ravaged earth. Wounded, but alive. Smoke rose from his shell, and various portions of his fleshy exterior, as slight traces of green blood oozed forth. His body was beginning to heal again, with the energies of Atlantis thriving within him.
Reeling with dizziness from the force of the explosion, Gamera noticed that Godzilla was advancing towards him. He clawed the ground, struggling to rise again, and his swollen knees trembled as the ancient titan moved them.
A shadow fell over him, cast by the irradiated prehistoric reptile above, and Godzilla reached down. His clawed fingers closed around the gargantuan turtle, scratching his flesh.
Gamera let out a shriek of pain as Godzilla's claws pierced his skin, and green blood dripped from the ancient behemoth's shoulder area. The King of the Monsters held Gamera high.
He arched back, and swung his arms forward before releasing his grip upon the titanic turtle. The fire-breathing beast of a turtle soared above the ravaged streets of Tokyo like a Frisbee, howling as he flew over the district of Shinagawa, and he shot a furious glare at Godzilla.
Orange lights flashed across the Tokyo skyline around the King of The Monsters, and he took another step forward, his footsteps shaking the immolated cityscape. Gamera's body tilted, and crashed into a pair of towers near the government district. Glass shattered, concrete crumbled, and the debris scattered everywhere around the fallen titan.
Immense strength was rushing through the turtle's body, and Gamera lifted his head. He lifted himself upward, rising to his feet once more, and the turtle-like goliath saw a concentrated fiery orange beam of radioactive energy streaking towards him.
The behemoth wheeled around, and ducked his head, preparing for the incoming strike. The nigh-powerful, super-charged ray of nuclear fire from Godzilla slammed into Gamera's shell, causing his body to shake intensely, and the pavement around the titanic turtle's heels cracked as Gamera struggled to remain on his feet.
Godzilla advanced closer, bellowing a ferocious roar, and channeled every atom and fiber of his nuclear-empowered strength, brimming with more ferocious determination to crush his fire-breathing equal.
A pair of helicopters flew over the area, with news crews observing, and covering the situation while the choppers' lights flashed every couple of seconds.
Unfortunately, the lights attracted Godzilla's attention.
The reptilian goliath spotted the hovering choppers close by, and roared with great disdain. A burst of his nuclear breath exploded from his maw, and the helicopters erupted in flames. The pilots and the reporters yelled as the explosion swallowed them, and the burning choppers crashed into the streets below.
Gamera mustered up his strength, and he lurched forward with his mouth wide open. Another ball of fiery energy shot out, and exploded in Godzilla's face upon contact. The atomic titan shrieked, and Gamera fired off another fireball into his foe's face.
Godzilla snarled, and stepped back, as the gargantuan turtle beast chucked balls of fire at him. The flames seared the megaton kaiju's scaly flesh, and rage welled within the titanic dinosaur. His dorsal plates crackled with nuclear energy, and the enormous reptile stared at Gamera before another fireball struck.
The fins on Godzilla's mouth flashed once more, and his mouth opened, as a strong concentration of radioactive energy shot forth like a geyser of lava towards Gamera. Godzilla's heat ray crashed against the turtle's torso, and the turtle howled as the blast pushed him back by several feet, sending Gamera towards the very heart of Tokyo.
His shadow loomed over the grounds of The Diet, and the Atlantean giant hit the earth on his back once more, smashing into the building and the area surrounding it. Trees were crunched, and the front of The Diet exploded in a pile of debris.
As if to taunt the turtle, Godzilla roared, and stepped forward, smashing through another nearby building. Gamera stared up at the approaching leviathan, and his legs retracted into his shell along with his tail before jets of fire shot forth from his stumps again.
Gamera flew into the air, staring down upon the ravaged city, and his nigh-powerful rival. He screeched loudly, and the turtle prepared to launch his next attack.
Long ago, as they toiled to create the creature that would become Gamera, the people of Atlantis discovered the power to control fire. On that day, the Atlanteans experimented, and surrounded themselves with clouds of fire, as if they controlled all of the fires in the world.
Pyromancy was a power found only in legend, a power that no one else could unlock.
Gamera utilized the power of the flames, and he'd long-achieved mastery over fire, allowing him to be well-connected to such an element. The flames swallowing the city below burned as brightly as the sun, while smoke continued rising high into the night.
Just then, the waves of fire became larger, and a boiling hot wind swept through Tokyo like a hurricane. The gleam of the firelight suddenly brightened, and soon, the fires were rising into the sky.
Godzilla snarled irritably, and his dorsal plates lit up. He lifted his head, stared up at Gamera, and fired off another burst of his super-charged atomic breath, right as the flames began to surround the titanic turtle.
Gamera noticed the incoming attack, but did not flinch. With his control over fire, and his connection to radioactivity, the behemoth had expected Godzilla to launch such an attack.
Flames swirled around the turtle, and the heat ray struck the airborne turtle. But instead of hurting Gamera, Godzilla's attack empowered Gamera. The turtle began to absorb the flames surrounding him, along with the energy from Godzilla.
His power and energy were increasing with each millisecond. Gamera's eyes gleamed, and he roared again. He breathed deeply, the surrounding fire cloud got brighter, and the ancient reptile's maw opened wide.
A great ball of concentrated fiery energy burst forth, summoned with all the power Gamera possessed, and streaked towards Godzilla below. The irradiated behemoth prepared to counter the attack, and his dorsal plates flashed intensely. Moments later, the fireball hit the earth, and a great fiery explosion washed over Tokyo.
