Atop the tower, Endeavor saw Deku's inexorable approach. He watched, hands on his hips. "Why look! It's your boyfriend, coming to die with you!"

Kuri crawled to the edge and looked down. Deku was coming up the cables, but the image was blurry, distorted, how she must feel.

On the cables, Deku was nearing the top when he saw something rolling straight at him. It bumped up against his hand, stopped.

It was a pumpkin bomb.

He reaches for it, but too late, it detonated, releasing a cloudy vapor. It blew away from him and he saw Kuri, concentrating, protecting him. He backed away and kept crawling.

Atop the tower, Deku swung himself up, into the air, right over Kuri, and landed between her and the Goblin.

"Happy to see you!"

Deku looked at him, blinked, touched his eyes. Unfortunately Kuri wasn't fast enough. Through Deku's eyes, there was not one, but nearly a dozen Endeavors, all around us.

"How about seeing me?!"

Deku lunged, but at the wrong Endeavor. The real Endeavor countered with a blow that sent Deku falling to his knees.

ZIP! Endeavor flexed his hand, made the needle point pop out of his palm again.

"Watch out! Don't let him-" Kuri cried.

Too late. Endeavor slapped his hand down on Deku's thigh and the needle point did its work.

Endeavor yanked it out, grinning in delight.

Above, the helicopters descended even closer, the policeman aboard screaming their threats and warnings ever louder.

Down on the bridge, A taxi screeched to a halt in the middle of the dense traffic, Shoto Todoroki leapt out. He looks up, saw the battle raging overhead.

The crowd screamed near the entrance to the bridge. Shoto whirled—-and saw Dabi coming toward him on his flames.

On a cable, Dabi grabbed hold of a high tension cable, whirred shut with a mechanical hum. His other hand grabbed hold of the cable, closed around it. Now, locked onto the cable, Dabi started to pull himself up, arm over arm, toward the top of the Tower.
