Marty barged into Citizen Brown's office and started to say, "Doc! Sorry I took so long. Biff came around and jumped me. I totally laid him out with the old roul…"
That's when Edna turned the chair around to Marty, "Martin McFly."
Marty paled, "Edna?"
Edna stated, "It's almost impressive - how many years of work and planning you nearly ruined in just a few short hours."
Marty was confused, "Where's Doc?"
Edna chuckled, "Oh, 'Doc', my husband is in a better place."
Marty did a double take, "Better place? What have you done with him?!"
Edna replied, "Relax, Martin…" That's when two police officers came up from behind Marty. She added, "We've got everything under control."
The feed changed to Citizen Plus, where Citizen Brown was being held captive.
Marty tried to fight off the officers, furious, "No! No! Doc!"
But it was of no use, Marty was dragged off and Edna was smirking at the feed.
…
The next thing Marty knew was that he was waking up in the Citizen Plus program. His stuff was in a cage.
He groaned, "W - what…what happened…?" He sat up slowly to look around, "Doc? Annie? Einy?" He looked, seeing that Edna was talking to a guard. Upon seeing a poster for Citizen Plus, that's when he realized what happened. He swore, "Oh shit."
He walked up to an intercom. Edna told the guard, "Make sure the McFly boy is prepped for his Citizen Plus program while I finish with my husband."
The guard asked, "How is Citizen Brown?"
Edna explained, "I'm afraid it's worse than we imagined. He's gone completely antisocial."
"Darn," The guard stated.
"We're using every tool at our disposal to snap him out of it. But I fear that nothing short of a complete personality rebuild will bring our leader back to us," Edna lied.
The guard asked, "And it's all McFly's fault?"
Edna answered, "Unbelievable, isn't it? One teenaged hooligan has brought Hill Valley into the brink of ruin. Ah, well. Let me know when he's ready. I'll be tending to Citizen Brown."
With that, she walked off.
Marty said to himself, "Ah she's totally lying to everyone! I've got to get out of here and save Doc!" Marty pressed on the intercom to talk to the guard, "Hey!"
The guard asked, "What?"
Marty answered, "Why is all of my stuff locked in a cage?"
The guard stated, "In order to ensure that Citizen Plus patients don't injure themselves, their belongings are placed into a lock box until their Citizen Plus treatment is completed."
Marty asked, "Injure themselves?"
The guard explained, "It's a very intensive process. Some people can't handle it."
After asking to check on the guitar, the guard left. Marty groaned, trying to think of something. He was trying to see the combination but the guard was too tall. Marty went over to the squawk box.
"Martin?"
Marty perked up, "Dad? Is that you? Where are you?"
George answered, "Back in the garage. What are you doing in the Citizen Plus ward?"
Marty stated, "Edna threw me in here."
George replied, "She can't do that to my son! How can I help?"
Marty responded, "Not that I'm not happy you're here, but why are you here?"
George admitted, "I'm looking for your mother!"
Marty did a double take, "Mom?"
George explained, "After you left, she and I had a big ol' fight, and, well, she went and signed her self up for a full battery of Citizen Plus treatments."
Marty questioned, "Didn't you tell her about Biff?"
George answered, "I tried, but you know your mother…once she puts her mind to something, she's a regular force of nature. I figure that if I can just find her, maybe I can talk her out of this foolishness."
The youngest McFly asked, "So have you found mom yet?"
George answered, "Not yet. You wouldn't believe how many cameras they've got around here."
Marty replied, "It's nice that you are concerned about mom, but couldn't you come down here yourself?"
George admitted, "Oh, I couldn't do that… I'm probably in enough trouble with the authorities already. No, I think it's better for everyone if I stay here in my garage with my televisions and cameras."
Marty questioned, "Is there any way you can help me escape this loony bin?"
George replied, "What did you have in mind?"
Marty answered, "I don't know…maybe overriding the security systems or something?"
George frowned, "Override the what? Son, this isn't a science fiction movie."
Marty informed, "Dad, those Citizen Plus watches are going to turn everyone in Hill Valley into robots, starting with Citizen Brown."
George mused, "I always suspected digital watches were evil…"
Marty clarified, "It's not the watches, dad. It's Edna! She's completely lost it."
George perked up, "Citizen Edna's crazy? Oh, that's not good. Although, it would explain a lot…"
Marty decided to try something, "Dad, I know this is a lot to accept but I've got to rescue Citizen Brown so that we can go back in time and stop him from ever marrying Edna in the first place."
George stated, "You're right, son. That is a lot to accept, so let's forget that you ever said it and figure out a way to get you out of there."
Marty thought, 'Well, I tried… Guess in our timeline, they would be more accepting of it by now. I should talk to Annie once this is all over and see if we should make this a family secret instead.' Marty commented, "Yeah, maybe that is for the best. I tried to peek over the guard's shoulder to get the combination, but he's too tall."
George repeated, "Over his shoulder? Hold on!"
Marty perked up, "What?"
George explained, "I may have it on tape. Zoom…enhance…zoom…enhance… Hah!"
"Did you get it?" Marty asked.
"Yes, the camera was high enough to see over his shoulder." George answered.
Marty smiled, "Nice work dad!" He went over to the cage and put in the combination to it. The cage unlocked and Marty was able to get his stuff out. "Alright!" He said.
"Hey, your guitar. I'm sorry I tried to throw it out." George apologized.
"Yeah, the guitar is pretty cool and all but this is what I care about." Marty replied, showing a picture of his family.
George sniffled, "No fair making your dad all misty, son."
Marty responded, "Stay close, dad."
George stated, "I'm as close as I can get, Martin."
