Hello, everyone.
It has been quite a while since I was active on this site. Between a change in my living situation, a struggle with my own inner critic, and the general habit of procrastination that seems to plague every writer, I've not touched Hiraeth in roughly two years, more or less.
I am writing this to say that this version of hiraeth is going to be retired, and a new one written.
I've often thought about what I could have done better with what I had already written with Hiraeth, and have come to the point where I feel like backtracking and re-creating Aran's journey will provide those of you with the story you truly deserve.
With that, I also have drafted up a concept for another story I will be writing which I have high hopes for and will do my best to work on in tandem with the Hiraeth rewrite. Though one of the stories may be favored if the scale tips in terms of likes and viewership, I will abandon neither story.
In the future I will also possibly introduce new stories into the mix, possibly as initial short-stories to see if the if the concept is liked, from there I will decide if the short story merits turning into a full story.
I will leave this version of Hiraeth up for anyone curious about the initial version and for the sake of comparison.
