Chapter 20 – Pranking Luke

It was few days after the students who didn't live in Coruscant left to their systems with their family members, and just like the Coruscant Weather Channel news predicted, the weather change. The days start to get cold and it was expecting rain for the next nights, especially on Life Day's Eve and Life Day with some strong winds.

Since Life Day was just around the corner, everyone in the Capital start to go shopping for last day gifts, and many of them also start to leave to spend time with their families in their home planets.

At that moment, Luke was checking the Temple and his automatically lights, and also saying bye to Luma, Reed, Aurea, Noah, Cindel and Ken who left to Naboo to celebrate Life's Days there.

Ines on the other end, was in their apartment, combing the girls head.

"Mama are we going to Siha today?" Alli asked watching her mother comb her twin sisters hair.

"Yes we do. We are just waiting for your father to arrived and then we go." Ines answered her.

"Papa will not like that!" she said.

"What will I not like, may I ask?!" they heard and looking at the door, they saw Luke entered with Lukey on his arms that wanted to go with his Dada to see the big Tree.

"We are going to see Siha!" Padmé said making Luke freeze on his tracks since he knew who Siha was and what was her job.

"Why?"

Ines had to shake her head with a giggled.

"It only the tips. Their hairs are getting way to big and they need a little cut. Actually I will cut the tips of mine too."

Luke looked at her.

"Do you have too!"

"Yes and by the way, I will make an appointment for you and the boys cause your hairs are getting way to big and reach the eyes already."

"No!" Luke said pouting looking at Lukey who imitate his father by shaking his head. "See even he agrees with me!"

"That's why his name is Luke Skywalker. But you 3 need a hair cut too."

"But your hair is fine."

Ines look at him.

"Why you're freaking out. What if I cut my hair short? Will you stop loving me?"

Luke was taken back at that statement.

"Of course not, I would love you no matter what!"

Even the girls giggled.

"I hope so mister!" Ines said and grabbing the girls, she head to the door. "We will not take long!"

When they entered in the elevator, Ines looked at her twins.

"How about we prank your father?"

The girls laughed and clapped their hands.

"Yeah!" they said at the same time.

"Than let's do this girls!" Ines said high fiving her daughters.

Few hours later:

Ines was in the elevator home with the two girls, who kept giggled looking at their mother.

"What do you think? Do you think your father will believe this is real?"

"Yeah!" the two girls said laughing.

"Let's make a test. Let's visit Uncle Han and Aunt Leia first and see what their reaction would be?!"

Nodding, the elevator stopped at the 18th floor and stepping out of it, they stop outside Leia and Han's apartment.

The moment door opened, 3PO stopped looking at Ines.

"Oh my!" the protocol droid said making Ines looking at her daughters.

"So far so good!" she winked at them.

Leia came out inside with Breha on her arms when she saw Ines and the girls and gasped.

"What did you do?" she asked as Ines walked towards her.

"Apparently Mistress Ines decided to cut her long hair, Your Highness!"

Leia glare at 3PO.

"I can see that 3PO, thank you!"

"I was only answered the question. Sometimes I can't understand human behavior!" the poor droid say leaving towards inside the bedrooms to check the boys.

"As I was saying: What did you do?" Leia asked again.

"Don't you like it? I think it looks good on me." she said moving her head.

Leia looked at her 3 and half month daughter who kept looking sucking her pacifier.

"Your aunt and godmother lost her mind sweetie," she said smiling when Breha smiled at her mother. "Yeah she did!"

"Oh come on, is not that bad!"

"We like it Mama!" the girls said.

"See!" Ines pointing at the twins.

"The problem are not the girls but their father! Luke will freak out!"

"Why Luke will freak out?" Han asked coming from inside too and stop with wide eyes. "Are you INSANE kid?"

Ines signed.

"Oh come on. It will grow up!"

"You have a death wish. I agree with my wife, Luke will freak out and he will not going to like it."

"Well if he loves me he wouldn't mind, right?" Ines said looking at them.

Leia kept looking at Ines with above shoulders brown hair, and passing Breha to Han she approached her sister in law and best friend.

"What?" Ines asked looking at her.

"I know you too well and I know your long hair was the only thing that back when we were children you loved to have. You never wanted your mother to cut the hair short, and now, knowing that Luke also loves your beautiful long hair you decided to cut it. Something is going on here," she said. "And it is something wrong." then she started to laugh.

"What?" Han asked. "Mama lost her mind too!" he said looking at his baby daughter.

Iris came from the kitchen with a sandwich on her hand and the moment she saw Ines, she giggled.

"Aunt Ines, Witches Night was almost 2 weeks ago. That's mean!"

"Well I see your oldest daughter realized who her aunt really is."

"I figured out too!" Leia said

"Only now Aunt Leia!" Padmé said pointing her finger to her aunt.

"Can someone explain to me what is going on?" Han asked.

Iris looked at her father.

"That's a wig. Aunt Ines decided to prank Uncle Luke!"

Han looked at Ines and then started laughing.

"Oh Kid, you are mean. I love it. I always had hope on you! Can I go to see Luke's reaction?"

"No, cause if you go he will figured it out something is going on. We need to be alone, right girls?"

"Yeah!" Alli nod.

"But I wanted to see Luke's face!" Han pouted making Breha smile and moved her little arms and legs.

"Well you have to use your imagination. Come on girls, we saw that this work, so let's prank your father. See ya!" she waved at them and left the apartment heading to theirs.

The moment Ines entered inside the apartment, R2 came rolling but stop and rolled back with a beep the moment he saw Ines with short hair.

The girls giggled and went towards it.

"Don't make noise. We will prank Papa. So don't tell anyone!" Alli whispered.

"R2 we need your help. We need to record Luke's reaction so we can show later to Leia and Han. Can you do that for me?" Ines asked.

R2 beep and Ines patting gently.

"I knew I could count on you buddy."

Walking towards the living room, where Spots was laying under the tree trying to play with one of the balls with his paws.

"Hey, no!" Padmé said right away.

The moment Spots looked at Ines, the cat stare at her which made Ines laugh.

"Honey we are home!" she called winking R2 and the girls.

"We are coming!" Luke yelled from the kitchen.

Ben arrived at the living room and stop right away.

"Are you pranking Dad!" he whispered.

"How?" Alli asked her older brother.

"Mom loves her long hair. She would never cut it like that!" he replied rolling his eyes.

Luke came holding Lukey's hand but the moment he saw Ines he froze.

"What do you think?" Ines asked him.

Luke couldn't speak.

"I… I… I think you look okay."

"Only okay?" she started. "I know you loved my long hair, but it will grow up. I just wanted to see how I look with short hair. And besides it is not that short, it is only above shoulders. You can still run your hands on it."

"Yeah. But you always said you wouldn't do it!"

"Are you mad?"

The kids kept looking at their parents.

"No, I will never be mad at you for a haircut. I'm sad cause I loved your beautiful long hair. But you look beautiful no matter what babe and if you like it, that's what is more important."

Ines pouted and looked at the girls and Ben.

"Aww you father is a sweetheart isn't it?"

The nod.

"I think Papa passed Mama!" Padmé said giggling.

"Passed what?" Luke frown looking at his daughter and then back to Ines. "You didn't!"

Ines laughed while she removed the wig and let her long brown hair fall on her back.

"Gotcha ya! We only cut 2 inches on our hairs but we want to do a little prank to see your reaction and I you passed for sure!" she said wrapping her arms around his neck and kissed him.

"You will going to pay, later," he winked and then look at the twins. "But you two I will catch you right now!" and he grabbed the girls and started to tickling him making them laugh while Ines watch.

She was indeed lucky to have Luke in her life.
