Mickey had woken up to the sound of thunder. The air was cold and she felt rain falling down from the sky. When she opened her eyes, she saw that was in the forest that led up to the lighthouse in the midst of a harsh storm. Her whole body was aching from how cold it actually felt.

'What the hell? Where am I?' she thought to herself, forcing herself to stand up on the wet ground. She felt the raindrops stinging her face and the wind was close to making her fall over. It was so strong that she could barely hear herself think. Lightning was striking the sky every few seconds, hitting anything in its path.

Mickey saw the lighthouse close to her, it's beam lighting the way as it spun around and around. 'Fuck... I'll be safe if I can make it to the lighthouse, she thought, holding her hand out as she forced her feet to move towards the lighthouse. She had to squint and hold her right up to keep the harsh raindrops from falling right into her eyes.

The lighthouse was perched on a cliff just outside of Arcadia Bay, so it was easy to get to. Mickey saw that the biggest tornado she's ever seen was in the water, making it's way towards the town. "Holy fuck." she muttered in shock. As Mickey looked at it, she swore she saw someone coming towards her. But she couldn't tell who it was exactly.

"Hey! Who's there!?" she shouted, but she was cut off when she saw a boat flying through the air, crashing into the top of the lighthouse. It knocked the top off, making it land right on top of Mickey.

Suddenly, Mickey had woken up in her seat in Mr. Jefferson's class as he was in the middle of his lecture. Her eyes were as wide as they could get. 'Whoa! That was weird... Did I fall asleep? I don't remember that I did. It didn't feel like a dream, she thought to herself, trying to make sense of what she just experienced.

Rachel Amber's dad, James, had gotten her and Chloe back into this school so she couldn't screw this up. She didn't need to get kicked out a second time.

She could barely hear what was being said around her since she was still trying to make sense of what she experienced just moments earlier. It sounded as if Jefferson was talking about self-portraits, but Mickey felt too frazzled.

Then, Mickey heard the sound of a camera clicking from the other end of the room. It was taken by a girl that looked to be 18, one year younger than Chloe and Mickey were. Mickey glanced over at the girl, who had a hipster style to her. She wore a pink Jane Doe shirt. The 'Doe' part was an actual outline of a doe. She had a gray hoodie over it and generic jeans. She had three colored bangles on her right wrist.

Her hair was barely touching her shoulders that was a dark brunette color and her eyes were blue, like Chloe's was. She had freckles dotting her face.

"I believe Max has just taken what you kids call a 'selfie... a dumb word for a wonderful photographic tradition," Jefferson pointed. Mickey's eyes widened a bit when he said that name. "What? Max? This can't be the same Max that Chloe and I knew five years ago. Could it really be her?'

"Now, Max, since you've captured our attention and clearly want to join the conversation, can you please tell the name of the process that created the first self-portraits?" Jefferson asked, staring right at the new girl. 'Okay, why was he singling that girl out?' Mickey asked, seeing Jefferson as someone who was too pretentious.

"I did know... but I kinda forgot," the girl shyly said, which annoyed Jefferson. He slapped the table as he shouted out, "You either know this or not, Max! Is there anyone here who knows their stuff?" Victoria Chase then raised her hand and gave the right answer, looking towards the new girl, clearly mocking her. 'Okay, fuck you too, Mickey thought with an eyeroll. She never liked Victoria nor her mean girl squad.

She always pulled that type of thing with Mickey, but the green-haired punk girl couldn't care less about what she has to say. Then, the school bell rang, indicating that class was finally overwith. As Mickey was gathering her stuff, she overheard Jefferson reminding everyone of the Everyday Heroes Contest, which was a photography contest that would kickstart a photographers careers.

However, Mickey couldn't be bothered to turn one in since she wasn't much into photography.

Mickey was the fifth person to walk out without too much of a hassle. She walked down the hallway, hoping that Chloe had returned her truck. She and Chloe had dated for the better part of a year, but they had decided to end things, but they are still best friends. Mickey decided to get her stash of weed from inside of her locker that she got from Frank a while back. How she didn't get caught with it is still beyond her.

On the walls were many Halloween posters, indicating the Halloween party later on that week. 'Hmm, maybe I could drag Chloe to one of these, Mickey thought, smiling to herself. Dana was hanging out with Justin, who was one of the skater boys. Dana lived on the same floor as Mickey did and they had a good few chats every now and again.

Mickey felt her phone buzzing inside of her back pocket and she pulled it out. It was Chloe that texted her.

C: Hey, Mick, your truck is in the lot. Have some bidness to take care of. See u soon.

M: Sweet, thanx. I gotta my stash from my locker. I'll meet ya outside tho.

C: Save me some of that stash!

M: No promises, Chlo-mister.

Mickey smiled at what Chloe said before putting her phone back in her pocket.

Ever since she had come back to Blackwell about a year ago, I had moved out of Chloe's house, but Joyce did say she was always welcome to stay there if she needed to. However, David wasn't so welcoming about it. He didn't know that Mickey had lived there before he did.

When Mickey made it to her locker, which was by the women's bathroom, she heard a loud gunshot coming from the inside of it. Right after that, Mickey felt an unnatural wave of dizziness overtake her whole body. 'Fuck... what's wrong with me...?' she thought as the whole world around her started to spin, as if it was going in reverse. It became bright to her and Mickey fell face first onto the floor.
