Seth and Eva had gotten tickets for a ship as a thanks. They boarded the boat, and they looked in awe at the sights. There was even a mini tournament going on.
"Let's see here, name, home town, region, and three Pokemon."
"Voi Vee!"
"Of course I'll use you Eva!"
Seth stood at the battle ground, and saw his opponent.
"Let the tournament begin!"
Seth is challenged by Rich Man Jonah.
"Graveler, go!"
"Squirtle, go!"
"SQUIRTLE!"
"Graveler, use brick break!"
"Dodge and use Water Gun!"
Squirtle dodged the brick break, and shot water at Graveler.
"Graveler, use Roll out!"
"Squirtle, Withdraw!"
Squirtle got into it's shell, and protected itself. Squirtle then came out, and Seth said, "Use Bite!"
Squirtle then bit the arm of Graveler, and Graveler then freaked out, shaking his hand like he had an animal biting him! Which he did.
"Squirtle! Now use head butt!"
Squirtle did, but only got a head ache from it.
"Graveler, rock throw!"
Graveler then summoned a rock, and it hit Squirtle, but something was going on. Squirtle glowed, and he changed a bit.
"WARTORTLE!"
"Wow! Squirtle evolved into Wartortle!"
"Well, that was an interesting turn of events," said Jonah, "But now, Graveler, use Rock Throw!"
"Withdraw!"
Wartortle got into his shell, and protected himself, and then Seth said, "Water Gun!"
Wartortle then shot water once more, and Graveler fainted.
"Go, Beedrill!"
"Charmeleon, you're up!"
"CHAR!"
"Beedrill, bug bite!"
"Charmeleon, Flamethrower!"
Beedrill then went forward, only to get fried by Charmeleon.
"Charge Charmeleon!"
Charmeleon then raced forward, and Seth said, "Slash!"
Charmeleon then slashed at Beedrill.
"Beedrill, use poison sting!"
"Dodge and use Flame Thrower!"
Charmeleon managed to dodge just in time and fried Beedrill once more.
Beedrill fainted.
"Go, Meowth!"
"Eva, go!"
"V VOI!"
"Meowth, use scratch!"
"Eva, Swift!"
Eva jumped, and stars were shot at Meowth.
"Payday!"
Meowth then launched coins at Eva, and they hit her hard.
"Quick attack!"
Eva then took off, and she hit hard against Meowth!
"Iron tail, go!"
Eva then quickly used Iron tail before the Meowth could recover.
Meowth fainted
Seth has defeated Rich Man Jonah!
"How dare you defeat me!"
Seth received 1,270 Poke Dollars!
Soon, the tournament was over, and the boat left to the Alola Region.
"I wonder what it's like there," said Seth.
"Eevoi?" asked Eva.
The two then headed into the Vermilion City Gym, and they saw the leader, with his Pokemon.
Seth walked up, and said, "Sir, you're the gym leader, right? L.T. Surge?"
"Indeed I am. And you sure have some guts to challenge me," said L.T. Surge.
"Raichu!"
"Eevoi!"
"Well, how about we get started?" asked Seth.
"HA! You can talk tough, but you won't with Pokemon like that!"
He pointed to Eva, and she growled.
"Save it for the battle Eva!" said Seth.
"Battle? Pokemon fighting is a war! And I'm gonna shock you into surrender!"
Gym Leader L.T. Surge would like to battle!
"Alright Voltorb, get ready to electrocute them!"
"VOLTORB!"
"Nidorino, go!"
"Nido!"
"Voltorb, use swift!"
"Dodge it with dig!"
Nidorino dug under the ground, and the swift missed him.
Voltorb looked around, but was surprised to see Nidorino come right under neath it!
"Now, use stone edge!"
Nidorino then summoned stones around him, and he launched them at Voltorb, with Voltorb taking much damage.
"Voltorb, use explosion!"
"Dodge with dig!"
Nidorino dug under ground once more, and Voltorb made a huge explosion. Only because of that, he fainted with no damage to Nidorino.
"Voltorb, return! Now, go Magnemite!"
"Magnemite!"
"Nidorino, return! Go Charmeleon!"
"CHAR!"
"Charmeleon, use Flame Thrower!"
"Magnemite, use thunder bolt!"
Charmeleon barbecued Magnemite, the same time Magnemite shocked Charmeleon.
"Charmeleon, use Leer!"
Charmeleon then glared at Magnemite, and Magnemite actually panicked a bit.
"Now, charge and use slash!"
"Char!"
Charmeleon charged forward, and Magnemite was hit.
"Magnemite, use metal sound!"
Magnemite then started to screech, and Charmeleon covered his ears!
"CHAR MEL!"
Everything was ringing to him!
He didn't see Magnemite coming right at him.
Charmeleon turned to Seth, and he could see his mouth moving. He couldn't hear Seth, but he carefully read his lips.
"USE FLAMETHROWER!"
Charmeleon then turned around, and used Flamethrower once more, and Magnemite fainted.
"Alright, time to use my secret weapon! RAICHU, GO!"
"Raichu!"
"Charmeleon, return! Eva, go!"
"VRRRR, VOI!"
"Heh, this will be an easy win! Raichu, body slam!"
"Eva, dodge with agility!"
Raichu slammed down, but kept missing Eva.
"Eva, quick attack!"
Eva hit Raichu hard, and Raichu stumbled.
"Now, use Iron Tail!"
"Raichu, give it the thunder bolt!"
Raichu then launched thunder bolt at Eva, and she stuck her tail into the ground, and it absorbed the attack!
"Wow, that was pretty smart!" said Seth.
"Nice strategy, I'll give you that, but it's time to end this! Raichu, use another Thunder Bolt!"
Raichu was about to, but nothing happened.
"Your Raichu's out of electricity! Now, Eva, VeeVee Volley!"
Eva then looked at Seth, and he gave her the thumbs up, and Eva then charged, and hit Raichu with a massive explosion, and Raichu fainted.
"WHAT WAS THAT!?"
"It's a special move that Eva learned through our bond."
Seth defeated Gym Leader L.T. Surge!
"That was actually impressive."
Seth earned 1,000 Poke Dollars!
"Well," said L.T. Surge, "You truly do have what it takes. And your Eevee is really something."
"Thanks L.T." said Seth.
"As proof of your victory here, here's the Thunder Badge."
Seth and Eva nodded at each other, and then high fived!
Seth received the Thunder Badge from L.T. Surge.
"And something more too."
Seth received TM 36 Thunderbolt!
"That TM Contains Thunderbolt. Use it wisely."
"Yes sir," said Seth, saluting him.
L.T. Surge saluted back.
"It's been an honor battling you."
Seth and Eva headed out, and they looked at the road a head. "Well, this is it. We best be off Eva."
From the sky, a figure watched them.
They truly do share a bond with each other. If they really are what I think they are, then I will let them be.
The figure then headed back to Cerulean Cave.
