Seth and Eva headed along the road, and they were excited to see the sights and Pokemon that along it. While there, they battled trainers, and Ivysaur and Wartortle evolved into Venusaur and Blastoise.

While going along the road, Seth heard something from the brush. From it came a small Pokemon that was new to him. He scanned it, and it came up with this.

Ponyta, the fire horse of jumping incredibly high. Its hooves and sturdy legs absorb the impact of a hard landing.

Seth brought his Pokedex down, and looked at it again. It was completely different.

"Are you really a Ponyta, because, you look very different from what the Pokedex describes you as."

"Pony."

Seth petted it, and it nuzzled up to him.

"Aw, you're a cute little one, aren't you? Well, I hope to see you again soon."

Seth then headed off, but Ponyta was still following him. Eva turned, and got Seth's attention.

"Hm? What? Are you... following me?"

"Ponyta!"

"You want to come with me?"

"Pony!"

"You sure?"

"Pony!"

"Okay, go Poke ball!"

The ball hit Ponyta, and it went inside the Poke ball. It shook three times, and clicked. Seth then looked at the entry.

Ponyta, the Unique Horn Pokemon. It can't run properly when it's newly born. As it races around with others of its kind, its legs grow stronger.

"Unique Horn Pokemon?... Galarian form? Oh, it's from the Galar Region. Maybe we'll visit that place later."

"Eevoi!"

Soon, they reach Fuchsia City, and they changed the team a bit.

They then entered the Gym, and encountered the Leader.

"Greetings, I am Koga, the Fuchsia Gym Leader. You are here to challenge me, correct?"

"Yes, I am."

"Very well, prepare yourself!"

Seth is challenged by Gym Leader Koga!

"Go, Weezing!"

"Weezing!"

"Machamp, go!"

"MACH!"

"Weezing, use Sludge!"

"Dodge and use Bulk Up!"

Machamp dodged, and flexed his muscles, and showed them off.

"Use Take Down!"

"MEGA PUNCH!"

The Take Down and Mega Punch collided, and the two skidded back from the impact!

"Now, Use Psychic!"

Weezing did, and Machamp took a lot of damage.

"MACHAMP!"

"Weezing, finish this with Giga Impact!"

Weezing then charged forward, and Machamp was still getting up.

"MACHAMP! YOU CAN DO IT!"

"EE EH VOI!"

Weezing was closing in, and Seth said, "USE DYNAMIC FURRY!"

"What?"

Machamp opened his eyes, punched the ground!

(Replace the Green Machamp with Weezing.)

Weezing then fainted, and Machamp posed.

"Way to go Machamp!"

"Machamp!"

"Rest up Weezing," said Koga, "Now bad. But let's see how you do against Venomoth!"

"Veno!"

"Machamp, return! Charizard, you're up!"

"RAAAAAAAAAARRRR!"

"Venomoth, use poison jab!"

"Flamethrower, go!"

Venomoth then shot multiple venom shots, and Charizard used Flame thrower. The venom shots missed, and the Flamethrower hit home!

"Venomoth!"

"Charizard, wing attack!"

Charizard then took flight, and rammed his wing into Venomoth!

"Venomoth, use Ariel Ace!"

Venomoth then came down, and hit Charizard, as Seth said, "Charizard, use slash!"

Charizard slashed each time Venomoth came by!

"One more Flamethrower!"

Charizard breathed Flamethrower once more, and Venomoth fainted.

"Hm, it seems I have underestimated you. No matter, this next one will prove challenging. MUK!"

"Muk."

"Eva, go!"

"Muk use sludge!

"Eva, dodge and use Swift!"

Eva dodged, and swift scored a direct and critical hit this time!

"Muk, use attract!"

Muk did, but it had no effect on Eva.

"Wait, you're Muk, is female?"

"Is your Eevee?"

"Yes, she is."

"Oh. Interesting."

"Never mind, shall we continue?"

"Very well, Muk, use Rock Smash!"

"Iron Tail!"

Eva got Iron Tail ready.

"Not yet Eva! Wait a bit!"

Muk then charged. Eva moved to the side, and Seth said, "NOW!"

She hit a direct hit on Muk, and Muk fainted.

"My last Pokemon. This won't be easy for you. I promise that. GOLBAT, GO!"

"Gol!

"Eva, come back!"

"VOI OH!"

"Raichu, go!"

"Raichu!"

"Golbat, use screech attack!"

"Raichu, Thunder Bolt!"

Golbat screeched, and Raichu covered his ears. Not for long though. He then used a Thunder Bolt, and Golbat stopped screeching and started screaming.

"Now, Quick Attack, go!"

Raichu then sped off, and rammed right into Golbat.

"Golbat, are you alright?"

Golbat had some energy left, and he still flapped his wings.

"Okay, Golbat, use air cutter!"

"Raichu, Volt Tackle!"

Raichu then created a shield of electricity, and rammed through the air cutter with ease. It rammed Golbat into the ground, and Golbat fainted.

Seth defeated Gym Leader Koga!

"Hmph, you have proven your worth."

Seth received 1,350 Poke Dollars.

"Here, take the Soul Badge."

Seth and Eva nodded at each other, and high fived.

Seth received the Soul Badge.

"You may also have this."

Seth received TM 27 Toxic.

"That TM is Toxic. It poisons your opponents when you use it."

"That's intriguing."

Seth suddenly remembered something.

"Oh, while I was at Celadon City, I had my Pokemon out for a stretch, and a stone I received reacted to my Charizard when he got close to it."

Seth pulled out the stone, and Koga looked at it.

"Interesting. I haven't seen one of these since my travels to the Kalos Region."

"What is it?"

"It's a Mega Stone. Used to show the true power of Pokemon and Trainer, through a special technique, known, as Mega Evolution."

"Mega Evolution?"

"I do not know much about it, but I do know that a stone like this is held by a Pokemon, and the Trainer must have a special device, like a band, a ring, or even a necklace charm, to activate it. I'm afraid that is all I know. As for your journey, I wish you good luck."

Seth and Eva looked at the three stones that they were given once more.

He then noticed that they reacted to Charizard, Venusaur, and Blastoise respectively.
