Waiting for Sisko

'Waiting for Godot', DS9 style. Some time after WYLB, the principals await Sisko at Quark's. (Or are they in that bar located right next to the Celestial Temple...where things are not linear, including your bar tab?) A very short bit of silliness.

(Scene: all are sitting around a large table in Quark's, post-WYLB)

Worf: I do not think he is coming.

Kira: No, of course not, he is with the Prophets now.

Odo (returned from Great Link—aside to Kira): But perhaps...perhaps he will return...as I did...(looks soulfully into Kira's eyes)

Kira (returns the look and smiles): Mmmm...and am I glad you did. (They kiss)

Quark: Okay, okay, you two get a holosuite or something. What are we gonna do if he doesn't come back?

Ezri: Hm, no more drunken pub crawls on Risa...oh, wait, that was Curzon...

Worf (sharply, to Ezri): Is it time for my medication, or yours?

Ezri (to Kira): Oh, he's so sweet when he's angry, isn't he?

(Kira rolls eyes in response)

Bashir: If I could come in here...

(All turn sharply to Bashir)

All: NO!

(Beat)

Bashir (stage whisper): I don't think he's coming.

(fade out)
