"Ladies and Gentlemen! Ashikabi and Sekirei! My name is Minaka Hiroto, the CEO of MBI and the head of the Sekirei plan." Naruto's eyes widened as he finally laid eyes upon the man who was in charge of everything in the area. Of course he had to be a mad scientist. "Get ready for a once in a lifetime opportunity! Inside that forest is Sekirei number 108. If you want to be the first to wing her, you better head there quickly!"
He paused and leaned closer to the camera.
"She's super powerful and it's said she can even revive people. Don't you want a Sekirei that can keep your others in tip-top shape?" He giggled, which made Naruto blanch in disgust. "I've arranged for all the other normal people to evacuate the area, which means it's your chance to go wild and get that Sekirei! Go get her champs!"
Naruto had enough of listening to him and flicked his finger at the television screen. Minaka suddenly lurched back from the screen and rubbed his head where a small red spot was forming. "Owie. What in the world-" The feed was cut there, but Naruto was satisfied.
He leaned his head out of the room and yelled, "Girls, get ready! We're going to go rescue a Sekirei!"
A loud crash was heard as a door slammed open and Musubi came running out of the bathroom naked and still wet.

He sighed and with a burst of chakra a towel appeared around her shoulders.
"We can go after you get ready. Better be quick."
"Yessir!"
Musubi ran off and Naruto was barely able to take his eyes off her hips.
Akitsu came strolling down through the foyer already dressed and ready.
"I am ready, Ashikabi."
He smiled, knowing she was the slightly more reliable one when it came to common sense so of course she would be the one to get dry and be dressed first. It was only three minutes later that Musubi ran down with her hair still wet, but everything else presentable.
"Ready!"
"Good. We'll be sticking to the rooftops to get there quicker. Based on the speed of the two of you we should make it there in only five minutes. Plenty of time to get there and take down anyone else in our way."
Musubi cheered, wanting to get into a fight and show off her training. His other Sekirei just nodded silently.
"Let's go."
The three of them were at the forest in no less than five minutes as Naruto had said. On the way he quizzed the two on battle scenarios and what actions they would take if enemies did certain things. Musubi was actually the better of the two at battle strategy, though she was far from perfect. Akitsu's answer was usually something along the lines of "hurt them". She was a work in progress.
They stopped at a roof of a building overlooking the edge of the overgrown forest. MBI soldiers lined the perimeter with guns and tanks. Naruto found that to be a bit overkill, but maybe there was something he was missing and other armies were going to invade as well.
"Woah, that's a lot of guns."
Musubi looked slightly worried. Even if she could punch through walls, that didn't mean she could take a bullet and be okay.
Naruto put his hand on her still wet hair and ruffled it.
"We'll be fine. I'll just put a genjutsu on them and we can sneak by."
"A genjutsu?"
He turned to Akitsu as he realized they would definitely not know what that was.
"A genjutsu is basically an illusion I place on people using my energy. For this, I'll make it look like we're three birds flying into the forest. I highly doubt they'll shoot some birds." He thought about it and changed his mind. "On second thought, I'll just use an illusion on the three of us so we are invisible to them. I've yet to hear one good thing about MBI, so maybe they would shoot down a couple birds."
Musubi gasped beside him.
"They would shoot down birds? That's horrible."
Akitsu nodded.
"They would do that."
He had wanted to say it was all conjecture, but Musubi probably wouldn't even know what that word meant, so he kept quiet. Instead, he weaved his chakra and an instant later the three of them, to anyone else but them, were invisible.
"Alright, let's go."
Musubi looked down at herself confused.
"But I can still see me."
"I made it so we can still see each other and ourselves. Otherwise we'd just stumble into each other."
Akitsu smiled at Naruto. She loved how he was able to do whatever came to his mind. He was also a smart Ashikabi, always thinking two steps ahead. She was so lucky he had found and winged her.
"Alright, let's go."
They jumped down off of the roof and quickly dove into the forest, the guards none the wiser. He turned off their invisibility, as he found it would be rather boring to make it to the center completely undetected. From this point on he expected them to only come across other Sekirei, and Musubi had said she wanted a fight.
Just as he was thinking that, they stopped as out of the treeline came three Sekirei, all holding some type of weapon.
The first Sekirei was the blonde scythe user, Yomi, that had fought Akitsu after he had winged her. She was staring at Akitsu with no small amount of trepidation, as Akitsu had told me their last fight was her opponent on the defensive the whole time.
The second Sekirei was a black haired woman wearing a kimono. She was wielding a strangely shaped double sided blade. Unlike the other two Sekirei, she gave off the air of someone decent.
The last Sekirei was sneering at all of them. She had her blonde hair in pigtails and eyes that were a dull shade of gray. In her hands was what Naruto remembered to be ninja wire. It was odd seeing something like that in this time period, but chalked it up to weird alien stuff and left it at that.
"Hoho, looks like I'll be able to have that rematch. I can finally tear you apart." Yomi said, laughing to herself as she did a typical villain pose.
The other blonde changed her sneer to a condescending smile as she looked at her fellow Sekirei.
"This is the one that hurt you? How pathetic."
Yomi raised her fist.
"Shut your damn mouth! She didn't do a thing to me!"
The black haired one giggled at their antics.
"I do remember hearing you couldn't even get close to her though."
"Grr, both of you shut up!"
Musubi stepped forward and pounded her fists together.
"I'm number 88, Musubi! Who is going to fight me?"
The black haired Sekirei jumped off of the branch and landed about 20 feet from Musubi.
"I'll fight you! I'm number 15, Himeko. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Musubi."
"Oh! Uh, you too!"
Naruto laughed at how off guard Musubi was with an opponent who was nice to her. He turned to Akitsu and nodded towards Yomi. She got the hint and jumped into the forest to the left of Yomi.
The blonde yelled, "Get back here bitch! We're not through until you're on the ground bleeding at my feet!"
That left the last Sekirei who was looking at Naruto like he was prey.
"You must be the Ashikabi Hayato told us about. I heard you can breathe fire, is that true?"
Naruto snorted and two small puffs of fire streamed out of his nose.
"I'm Naruto. Ashikabi to Number 7 and 88."
She jumped down from the branch, giving Naruto a clear view of her panties. Seriously, what was with Sekirei and their modesty?
"My name is Mitsuki, Sekirei number 39." She wrapped her ninja wire around her hand and gave him a smirk that promised pain. "And I'm going to take immense pleasure making such a handsome man squeal in pain."
Naruto felt himself blushing.
"Aw, thanks. You're pretty cute too."
She blushed too and stomped her foot on the ground. "What?! You're not supposed to respond like that? It's supposed to be you shaking in your boots. Don't compliment me when I'm trying to kill you!"
His eyes hardened and suddenly Mitsuki felt like the prey.
"You're going to kill me?" He suddenly laughed, and Mitsuki felt small, like a large animal had just sized her up and decided she was going to be tonight's dinner. "I was going to just knock you unconscious, but I'm not going to let someone like you go. If another life was taken by you and I could have prevented it I would have regrets." His eyes suddenly flashed purple as he scowled at the woman. "I don't do regrets."
She was barely able to duck as a swift jab came for her throat. Her eyes widened as the tree behind her snapped in half from the pressure of his fist.
"Oh, good reflexes."
She snarled in anger and embarrassment as he looked down on her.
"Shut up! I'm going to tear you to pieces, you freak of nature!"
She loosened the grip on her wires and let it fly towards him, attempting to snare him in a web. She held in a cry of shock as he flipped himself in the air and twisted each part of his body to expertly dodge her wires.
Naruto landed on the ground and immediately kicked off towards Mitsuki. She threw herself to the side and maneuvered her wires to follow where she was as he landed in the spot she was in. Thinking she got him, she yanked her wires as hard as she could and they tightened around the blonde. Unfortunately for her, a pop rang out as smoke appeared where his body once was.
A cry tore through her lips as she was kicked in the back with such force that she rocketed towards a tree and hit it face first, breaking her nose. As she went to pull herself off of the tree, she heard the sound of metal and then immediately gasped as a blade pierced her spine. Mitsuki, number 39 and Sekirei of Hayato, knew no more.
Naruto sealed the sword away and watched dispassionately as Mitsuki slumped to the ground. He was glad Musubi was off in another part of the forest battling her opponent. While he did tell her he wanted her to defend herself, lethally if needed, that didn't mean he wanted her to have to kill anyone.
From what Musubi had told him when he really grilled her on all the things MBI explained to her, he was supposed to stay beside his downed opponent. He cared little about their rules, but didn't want anything happening to his Sekirei because he was stubborn.
He had to find that Sekirei quickly though, before anyone else did. He had already heard explosions go off at one of the entrances to the park, which meant other Sekirei were here too.
However, he also didn't want MBI to find out it was him that did this. His mind made up, he left a note saying "I'm sorry I didn't stay behind, but my Ashikabi needs me." He even left a little peace sign for them. Though, after thinking about it some more, if they find the remnants of the battle left behind by Akitsu and Musubi, they could very easily deduce he had something to do with this death. Oh well, it really was no skin off his back if they found out. It wasn't as if they could do something against him anyways. With that thought he took off.
On the way to the middle of the forest he stumbled upon two Sekirei that he didn't expect to see again anytime soon. The lightning twins that had attacked Musubi. He seemed to keep finding them, though maybe they were just always at the heart of things.
They both noticed him and stared for a second before Hikari suddenly took a step back.
"It's you! You're the one who punched us when we were trying to get that Sekirei!"
Hibiki was quiet as she looked between him and her sister. After a few seconds she said, "Hikari, I don't think we should fight him. We couldn't even see him move last time."
Hikari looked at her sister like she was crazy.
"Don't you want revenge?! This asshole knocked us out!"
"Yeah, but we were told to find the Sekirei and take her out. Not to engage in fights."
The louder of the two clenched her fist, but relented.
"Fine." She then turned towards Naruto with a scowl on her face. "We will take you down! You hear me, you punk?"
Naruto gave her a condescending smile.
"Sure, sure."
"Ugh, I am so gonna eat your ass." She stopped and realized what she accidentally said. "Wait! I meant beat your ass!" Her sister started guffawing as loudly as she could while Naruto was almost on the floor in tears, he was laughing so hard.
Hibiki struggled to say, "I-I didn't know you were into that, Hikari. Wait til I tell Seo."
"No! Oh god, he's never going to let me live this down if you tell him."
While the two of them continued talking, Naruto slipped away while wiping the
tears of laughter from his eyes.
Finally, he made it to the heart of the forest and what he saw boggled his mind. It was a little girl, probably no older than seven or eight wearing a white dress that went down to her ankles. And oddly enough the poor girl was barefoot.
Seeing Naruto, she eeked in terror and shrank in on herself while one of the trees near him suddenly tilted sideways to block her from his view. Seeing her powers up close, Naruto chuckled. It suited her for some reason.
"Hey, it's okay. I'm not here to wing you, I just want to rescue you so nobody else hurts you."
The tree slowly tilted back to its normal spot and she looked at him between her fingers.
"Really?"
"Really, really. I'll even pinky promise."
Kusano's eyes lit up like the child she was and she reached out with her pinky. Her face made Naruto want to hold onto her and protect her from the world. She really was adorable and it made him sick that the CEO of MBI made her out to be some type of game.
Naruto kneeled in front of her as their pinkies crossed and Kusano looked pleased with herself.
"You can't break a pinky promise."
Naruto smiled as his hand came back to his side.
"Of course. I promise I will never break that promise."
She giggled and stood up, looking up into his eyes. He felt uncomfortable with just how long she looked at him, but by the way she smiled and nodded to herself she seemed to find what she was looking for. As he went to stand back up, she came running towards him and he had to quickly catch her as she jumped into his arms. Before he could ask what she wanted, she leaned up and gave him a chaste kiss.
Her wings were made of twigs and leaves and all of nature around them seemed to be growing and blooming as her energy was released. Naruto however was paying attention to none of it. Right now, there was one thing and one thing only on his mind. And that was that he was going to jail.
Just minutes after Naruto left the scene with his Sekirei, the medical staff of MBI rolled into the forest after getting readings of Sekirei being decommissioned. Among the medical staff was Takami, who was looking down at the body of Mitsuki with a narrowed eye.
Not only do they not know who killed Mitsuki, since the Sekirei involved didn't stay, but the only thing left behind was a note that gave them no clues as to who did it. The medics told her that Mitsuki died through a stab wound to the spine. Other than that she had blunt force trauma to the head from impacting a tree as well as a broken nose. There were no other indications on her body of any other wounds, which means she was taken down swiftly and precisely.
Takami didn't know how to feel about someone who decided to kill a Sekirei instead of deactivating them through their crest. On one hand, despite not having a personal connection to Mitsuki, she had still heard through the grapevine that she was a bit of a monster. However, that didn't sit well with the part of her that was trying to protect the Sekirei from Minaka's Sekirei plan.
Sekirei deaths weren't supposed to happen, period. That was the whole point of being able to deactivate them through their crests.
"Ma'am." Takami turned to the medic who had come back from the other site. "We've taken a look at the battle scene for Yomi and concluded that she was more than likely taken down by number seven."
Takami looked back down at the body and sighed. Karasuba said she would find him but it had already been several days since she had gone off to do so. Picking up her phone, she dialed Karasuba's number. It only took two rings for the Sekirei to pick up.
"What do you want?"
Takami snorted. That was such a Karasuba response.
"Sekirei number 39, Mitsuki, is dead."
There was a pause over the line.
"And? What do you want me to do about it?"
"We think it was Naruto."
Another pause, but this time you could hear the gears turning in Karasuba's head.
"I told you he was strong."
"Yes, you did. But that's not why I'm calling. I want you to head to Izumo Inn and see if he's there. Since we can't get a read on where he is, one of our best bets is that he is holed up where we don't have surveillance."
"You know she won't be happy I'm there."
Takami shifted in place, not liking what she was being forced to do. Really, she just wanted to leave Miya alone. The poor woman deserved it. But they didn't want a rogue Ashikabi going around murdering Sekirei. They had to find out if he was the one that killed Mitsuki.
"I know. But you don't have to be there long. If he is there, try to get him to come with you somewhere else so you aren't interrogating him with Miya around."
"Fine. Maybe I'll even get to see my cute little junior while I'm there."
Karasuba hung up the phone, leaving Takami to look back down at the blood staining the grass. Her team was already cleaning the site up and preparing to take down the forest. Number 107 was going to make it go a hell of a lot quicker.
"This is Kusano. Kusano, say hello to everyone."
The girl shyly waved her hand as she hid behind Naruto. Uzume literally squealed as she bent down to take a closer look at Kusano.
"You are just the cutest! Do you want to be my little sister?"
Kusano's head peeked out from behind his leg and she squinted her eyes as she looked at Uzume. After a good few seconds, Kusano quickly shook her head and hid again.
Uzume felt like a knife just went through her heart at the cold dismissal. To think that she would be rejected by such a cute kid.
Naruto laughed, though he tried to hold back on laughing too hard. Kusano's cuteness was going to be a good source of entertainment around here, he could already tell.
"Sorry, Uzume. Maybe next time."
Miya was next up as she bent down closer to Uzume with a smile on her face.
"Hello, Kusano. My name is Miya. I'm the landlady here."
"Hi."
Miya giggled at her short response as she reached behind her back and pulled out a wrapped piece of candy. Kusano's eyes were instantly drawn to the sweet.
"If I give you this candy will you be my friend?"
Kusano looked up at Naruto for permission and seeing him nod, she reached her arm out from around him.
"I will."
"Great! Then here you go."
Kusano instantly devoured it and looked satisfied doing so. That was when her stomach rumbled and Miya laughed again.
"I'll go make you some food."
Kusano smiled at the woman. She had already decided she liked the lady that gave her sweets, but the other one she had to keep an eye on. She didn't like the looks Uzume gave Naruto. It seemed like she wanted to take him away for herself, and she didn't like that.
Naruto looked around for a second then asked, "Where's Homura?"
"At work. He won't be back til late."
"Well, he can always meet her another time."
Musubi's stomach rumbled and it was so loud that Kusano got startled. Musubi blushed and said, "Sorry Ku. A good fight always makes me hungry."
Akitsu laid her hand on Musubi's shoulder.
"You're always hungry."
"I guess that's true, huh! Maybe everything makes me hungry?"
Naruto let the two of them talk and walked Kusano onto the back patio where they could look up at the stars. He sat down on the edge of the porch and she sat down on his lap with her back to him.
"Comfortable?"
"Mhm!"
He patted the top of her head and looked up at the sky. She looked up with him and soon both were quiet as they took in the stars. At least, until Kusano spoke up.
"Can I call you dad?"
It surprised Naruto, but with her age it made sense. It was much better than her asking for the same relationship the others had with him. That would have made for a very awkward conversation.
"Of course. Then that makes you my daughter."
Her smile lit up the night sky as she leaned against his chest and snuggled into him. He smiled with her and soon the two were back to looking at the stars.
"Dad, do stars have names?"
"They do. See that one right there?"
He took his finger and made sure it was pointing within her line of sight to the brightest star.
"Yeah."
"That one's called Polaris. It's also known as the north star."
"Oh! Then what about that one!"
"That's actually another planet."
Her eyes lit up.
"Woah! What planet is it?"
"Venus. And if you look closely right there you'll see another planet called Jupiter."
She bounced in place as her excitement grew.
"That's so cool! How many planets are there?"
"In this solar system there are eight planets."
"This solar system? And what's a solar system?"
"Well-"
Uzume watched as the two continued talking about the night sky. She was surprised by just how good of a father figure Naruto was to Kusano. He really seemed like he knew exactly what to say and how to act around kids. She was a bit surprised, because she had thought he was somewhat of a loner. Part of her wasn't surprised though, as she found him to be amazing at anything he did and fatherhood seemed like it would go right on that list.
She started imagining what it was like to have little kids of her own running around and calling her mommy. She then looked at Naruto and pictured what the kids would look like if the two of them had some together.
Unfortunately, she knew nothing was going to go beyond the teasing the two of them did with each other. She was already winged and her Ashikabi was stuck, hospitalized and nothing Uzume could do could help her sickness.
Maybe Naruto could? No, that would be selfish of her to ask. And Naruto was good at a lot of things, but she doubted he was also skilled in medicine enough to help her Ashikabi since even the specialized doctors who had taken a look said there wasn't much they could do beyond simple maintenance. For now, she would keep dreaming about the day where she would have blond kids running around her while Naruto watched them with her on the couch, cuddling together in front of a fireplace. Ah, she really had it bad for him.
AN: I hope you enjoyed the chapter! Kusano has officially been added as his daughter. And Karasuba is going to be making an appearance very soon, though she won't be winged for a while yet. Did you enjoy the scene with Akitsu? Again, I'm not the biggest fan of writing lemons, but I feel it adds depth for the relationship between Naruto and his girls. That's the reason they are less smut and more romantic.
