The storm was raging outside, shaking the leaves of trees, and the raindrops falling. Thunder and lightning could be heard echoing over the area.
Under a hole, where a tree was, a little boy was there, hiding of the strong thunderstorm, shivering of fear and crying.
"Why thunder is so loud and scary? I wanna go home, it's safe, warm and dry." The kid thought.
The thunder sound was heard, making the boy shake of pure panic.
"I miss mommy and daddy. I want to sleep in my bed." Gohan thought, still shaking scared.
"I WANNA GO HOME!" He yelled at the top of his lungs and bawling of fear.
A figure appeared in sky, flying. He had pointy ears and green skin.
"This is ridiculous! When the Saiyans arrive, he will be a pile of bones at this rate! He can't defend himself, find food or water or make a shelter. Humans just depend on other humans or creatures to live." Piccolo thought.
He approached the place Gohan was hidden on.
"The place you choose to hide is stunning. You should worry with the fire a storm can bring." Piccolo said.
Gohan looked at Piccolo surprised.
"I hope you understood the sarcasm, kiddo." He said.
"MR PICCOLO!!! You are here! Thunder is so loud!!! I'm cold, wet, hungry and tired. I wanna go home to see dad and mom, and I want to sleep on my bed!" Gohan said, hugging Piccolo, crying afraid.
Piccolo was not in the mood to deal with the boy, so he pulled Gohan away from his chest, enraged.
"YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS! YOUR DAD CRIED LIKE THIS WHEN HE DIED?! YOU THINK PEOPLE WILL HELP YA EVERYTIME?! U NEED LEARN TO HELP YOURSELF, AND A STORM IS THE LEAST OF YOUR PROBLEMS!!!" The namekian yelled at the kid, who was with his eyes full of tears.
As Piccolo looked at Gohan, he suddenly began to remember something in shock.
"What?" He thought.
The storm was aggressive that night. The small namekian was walking, when he heard a loud thunder. Afraid and due to his sensitive hearing, he covered his ears, and shrieked in fear, and tried to protect himself from the thunders and lightnings.
He hide on a abandoned cavern, and cried quietly, until he saw something. It was a mummy deer with her 2 fawns who were resting after strolling by the area. She saw Piccolo Junior, who exited the cave and interacted with the mama deer. She licked the namekian's face, only to hear him giggle.
As another thunder was heard, he shrieked scared and hugged the deer mom, who calmly laid the kid on the ground, which fell asleep after minutes, around the peaceful presence of the deers comforting him during that storm.
When Piccolo remembered this memory, he sighed more relaxed and hugged Gohan, rubbing his back, comforting him.
