It was a nice day, and the birds were chirping.
Jon was still sleeping when Garfield approached him.
"Good morning, Jon. Sorry to disturb you. I know you have a busy social calendar," Garfield began, "but if you'll be so kind as to go to the kitchen and fix me a huge breakfast, I'll graciously allow you to come back to bed and finish your sleep."
Jon rolled over, accidentally knocking Garfield off the bed.
"Two can play at that game," Garfield muttered, looking directly at the screen with a mischievous grin.
He pressed a button, and loud music blared through the room. Jon fell out of bed in shock.
"Rise and shine, Jon Arbuckle!" Garfield announced, climbing onto the bed with Odie, who barked excitedly.
"It's time to serve your nation as you serve your fellow men! Yes, it's time to serve them... pancakes!" Garfield declared, with Odie barking in agreement.
"Pancakes the size of Australia!" Garfield continued, and Odie barked again.
"And coffee! Yes, Jon, coffee! We wouldn't be the great nation we are today if it weren't for coffee!" Garfield exclaimed passionately. Odie barked once more.
"So, do your patriotic duty, Jon Arbuckle, and fix! Me! Breakfast!" Garfield commanded, then walked off. Odie, ever the accomplice, clashed cymbals together, making Jon wobble.
Jon groaned and muttered to himself, "I wonder if people with goldfish have this problem."
Meanwhile
"Oh man, it's almost Thanksgiving," Kali said as she petted John, who wagged his tail and barked.
"Yeah, all the food!" Brock chimed in, already daydreaming about the feast.
Ann giggled, still half-asleep.
"Five more minutes," David groaned, pulling the blanket over his head. John had other plans, though, and started licking David's face.
"Wake up!" John barked playfully, his tail thumping against the bed.
With a sigh, Kali got up and headed to the bathroom, shaking her head at the chaos.
Kali brushed her teeth and hopped into the shower to freshen up. One by one, the others—Brock, Ann, David, Teeders, and Cynthia—followed her lead, taking turns in the bathroom.
Once everyone was ready, the group of friends headed downstairs, the smell of breakfast already wafting through the air and tempting their growing appetites.
The group gathered around the table, bowls of cereal in front of them. The clinking of spoons and the rustle of cereal boxes filled the air as they dug in.
"I can't wait for pumpkin pie," Teeders said, her eyes glued to the book she was reading. She absentmindedly stirred her cereal, barely looking at it as she turned another page.
"You're always reading," Brock teased with a grin. "Do you even know what cereal you're eating?"
Teeders smirked but didn't look up. "Of course. It's… crunchy."
The others chuckled as they continued eating, their chatter blending with the cozy sounds of the morning.
Meanwhile " Ah tasty hey Jon next time less pam more cake" Garfield says but Jon couldn't hear as Garlied was about to kick Odie off the table but sees the calender
"What's this hmm take Garfeild to the vent… not good" Garfield says " she thinks she knows what's good for me but it's not"
meanwhile the adventure kids and alpha team split up as Shante looks around for some food as Chilly thinks and took jam and grabbed lots of fish
" Easy" Colleen says.
Meanwhile Angry Luigi was with Alem tuber and Emma when they see Hunter
Angry Luigi hid behind Alem tuber as Emma blinks
The adventure kids notice people trying to buy Luke plushies.
Some people even fought over them.
" Hey Adventure kids" Bianca says.
" Hey" Kali says.
Jon came by in a shopping cart as Garfeild looks at the 4th wall.
"And I though Orlson's farm was bad enough" Garfield says to the 4th wall
They buy some food as the kids follow Garfiled to the vet
" No no no!" Garfeild says.
The road Rovers wince as Garfield tries to get away
" Hello jon" Liz says with her icy tone
" hey Liz" Jon says shyly
" Jon just ask her out jeez flies could do it better" Cynthia says. As Jon smiles embrassed
" the girls right a hobo has a better chance" Garfield says
" maybe I'll come … hm he seems overweight I may have to put him on a diet" Liz says as Garfield's eyes widen
" NO!" Garfield says.
Later that afternoon, the Adventure Kids returned home, their arms full of bags from their Thanksgiving shopping trip. The car doors slammed shut as they unloaded everything, balancing grocery bags and chatting excitedly about the upcoming feast.
"Careful with the pie crusts!" Ann called out, watching Brock juggle bags precariously.
"I got it!" Brock insisted, grinning as he nearly tripped over a bag of potatoes.
Kali carried a box of canned goods, leading the group inside. "Let's get everything sorted. We don't want to forget anything for tomorrow."
Teeders held a bag of cranberries, still clutching her book under one arm. "Where's the pumpkin pie mix? I'm not skipping that."
David grabbed a bag of fresh veggies. "We've got enough food to last a week."
"Or at least a really good weekend," Cynthia joked, holding the turkey carefully.
They piled the groceries onto the kitchen counters, the excitement for Thanksgiving growing with every item they unpacked.
With the groceries finally unpacked and put away, the Adventure Kids wasted no time.
"TV time!" David shouted, already sprinting to the living room.
"Last one there has to clean up after dinner!" Brock teased, dashing past Ann and Teeders.
Laughter filled the house as they all scrambled to find a spot on the couch. Kali grabbed the remote and flipped through channels. "What are we watching?"
"Something funny," Ann suggested, sinking into a pile of cushions.
Teeders, still clutching her book, settled in. "Or something adventurous."
John claiming his spot in the middle. Chilly Willy looked interested.
The screen flickered to life, and soon, they were all engrossed, the anticipation of Thanksgiving momentarily forgotten as they lost themselves in their favorite show.
Meanwhile
Garfeild tries to open the fridge but a whistle knocks him over as Garfeild fell over.
" I see you've met private Odie" Jon says
" Traitor" Garfeild thought.
Later that afternoon, the Adventure Kids and their friends made their way to visit Garfield.
"Hey, Garfield!" Kali greeted warmly. "How are you doing?"
Garfield let out a dramatic sigh, flopping lazily onto his bed. "Not good. They put me on a diet," he grumbled, staring longingly at an empty food bowl.
Brock raised an eyebrow. "A diet? Seriously?"
Garfield nodded, his eyes wide with despair. "No lasagna. No pizza. Just... greens." He shivered at the word.
Ann giggled. "But it's good for you!"
"Good for me?" Garfield groaned. "Happiness is good for me. Lasagna is happiness."
David patted him on the head. "Stay strong, buddy."
Garfield rolled his eyes. "Easier said than done."
The group laughed, knowing that even on a diet, Garfield's humor was still as sharp as ever.
"Want us to order you a pizza?" Cynthia asked, a mischievous glint in her eye.
Garfield's ears perked up, but he quickly shook his head. "No way. Odie will rat me out in a second." He slumped dramatically. "I'm a goner."
Cynthia smirked. "Yeah, a diet will definitely kill you." Her voice dripped with sarcasm.
Garfield narrowed his eyes. "Hey, sarcasm is my thing."
The group burst into laughter, and even Garfield managed a small smile. Despite his grumbling, he knew they had his back—diet or no diet.
Ann watched Garfield's dramatic sulking and felt a pang of sympathy. "It's just so unfair this is happening right before Thanksgiving," she said softly, her voice filled with concern.
Garfield glanced up, his eyes wide and mournful. "Tell me about it. No pumpkin pie, no stuffing... just... salad." He shuddered.
Ann gave a reassuring smile. "We'll find a way to make it better, Garfield. Maybe we can sneak you a treat."
Garfield's ears perked up, a glimmer of hope in his eyes. "You're my favorite, Ann. Don't tell the others."
The group chuckled, and Ann felt a little better, knowing they'd do whatever they could to make Thanksgiving special—even for a dieting cat.
Later that night, the house was quiet—almost too quiet. Garfield tiptoed into the kitchen, eyes locked on a jar of cookies. "Just one," he whispered to himself. "They'll never know."
He pried open the lid, but to his shock, Odie was somehow inside the jar, holding a whistle. Tweet!
Garfield jumped back and quickly covered the jar. "How did you even fit in there?" he muttered. Shaking his head, he grabbed a different jar and opened it carefully.
Tweet! There was Odie again, grinning and blowing the whistle.
Garfield slammed the jar shut, sweating now. "This has to be a dream…" He tried a third jar.
Tweet! Odie, yet again.
This continued, jar after jar, until Garfield finally slumped against the counter, defeated. "I give up. How did you even do that, Odie?"
Odie wagged his tail and trotted off, whistle still in his mouth. Garfield sighed. "Outsmarted by a dog. I really am doomed."
The next day, the Adventure Kids met up with the Alpha Team and headed to Jon's house to help him prepare for Thanksgiving.
"Whoa, that's a lot of guests…" Jon said, eyes widening as he greeted them at the door.
"We came to help out," Shante said, giving a reassuring smile.
"Thanks, guys," Jon replied, visibly relieved.
The group quickly got to work, while Jon kept an eye on the turkey roasting in the oven. Everyone pitched in—setting the table, chopping vegetables, and making sure everything was perfect.
Garfield, however, looked unimpressed as Jon tried on one suit after another in front of the mirror. "Really, Jon? It's dinner, not a fashion show," Garfield muttered, rolling his eyes.
Suddenly, Jon's Grandma arrived, apron already on. She took charge with the confidence of a seasoned chef.
"Go, Grandma, go!" Garfield cheered, finally coming down from his usual sulk.
"She's cool," David whispered to Michael, who nodded in agreement, both watching her command the kitchen like a pro.
Meanwhile, Jon opened the door to greet Liz. She stepped in, her eyes widening at the beautifully set dinner table.
"Wow, Jon… this looks amazing," Liz said, clearly impressed.
Jon blushed, rubbing the back of his neck. "I, uh… Thanks."
From the corner, Cynthia and Garfield exchanged a glance. "Yeah, sure you did a lot," they both said in unison, their voices dripping with sarcasm.
The room erupted into laughter, and Jon couldn't help but join in. Thanksgiving had officially begun, and despite the chaos, everything was perfect in its own way.
Later, just before dinner started, Liz noticed Garfield lounging by the couch.
"Hi, Garfield... How are you doing?" she asked gently.
Garfield glared, his eyes narrowing into slits.
Liz smiled knowingly. "Yeah, I know the diet isn't easy. But listen, if you do some exercises, I'll cancel your diet."
Suddenly, Garfield's eyes sparkled—literally. In place of his usual expression, pies appeared in his eyes like mirages. He turned slowly to the fourth wall, a sly grin spreading across his face.
"I get the feeling Ann did something," he muttered, his voice filled with suspicion and hope.
The others watched in confusion as Garfield bolted toward the kitchen, ready to embrace his newfound freedom—and maybe a pie or two.
They soon gathered around the table, the smell of roasted turkey and freshly baked pies filling the air. Laughter and chatter echoed through the room as everyone dug in, passing dishes and sharing stories.
Garfield, seated next to Jon, had other plans. While Jon was deep in conversation, Garfield's paw would stealthily swipe a piece of turkey or a roll from Jon's plate.
"Garfield…" Jon grumbled, catching him in the act.
Garfield just grinned, chewing innocently. "What? It's part of my exercise plan."
Everyone burst into laughter. Ann leaned over to Jon. "You never win, do you?"
Jon sighed, shaking his head, but even he couldn't help but smile. Thanksgiving had turned into a chaotic, fun-filled day—just the way it should be.
Chilly Willy had his fish. Shante smiled " Thanksgiving really is fun!"
Rottytops nods as Garfeild and Odie look a bit afraid.
The penguins arrive.
"Well Looks like we got ourselves a feast Rico store as much food as you can Private cause a distraction" Skipper says as they do so.
Private did a dance but Garfeild noticed Rico and kicked him aside.
Pooh winices
" I guess we're all ignoring the teddy bear and muppets again" Garfield says
Later, as everyone leaned back, full and content, Jon sighed with satisfaction.
"That was nice," he said, rubbing his stomach.
Odie, however, was sprawled out on the floor, unable to get up, his belly round from all the food.
Jon chuckled, eyeing Odie. "Looks like someone needs a diet," he teased.
Garfield, who had been lounging nearby, smirked and pulled out a whistle from his pocket. He gave it a loud blow. Tweet!
Odie perked up, startled by the noise, but just lay there, too stuffed to move. Garfield gave him a wink. "That's right, Odie. I think you're the one who needs the diet."
The room erupted into laughter, and even Jon couldn't help but smile at Garfield's antics.
The end
