Roman opened his eyes and looked at Talise. She was sleeping on her stomach and had kicked off the duvet during the night. He took in her naked body and smiled to himself. He was in bed with the most wonderful woman. Coming here had been the best decision he had ever made.
The sex had been amazing. He couldn't explain the crazy electricity he felt when he was with her. It was like they fit perfectly together and had always meant to be together. She was the missing puzzle piece to his life.
He had learned different things about her yesterday. She was 37 years old. She had a big brother in California. Her favorite color was pink. Her favorite flower was camellia. She loved horror movies and rock music. She owned her own business called Cozy downtown where she sold a little of everything for a cozy moment. Candles, snacks, tea, etcetera. He was amazed to learn that she even created her own scented candles and gourmet marshmallows. Everything she had told him had only made him fall more and more in love with her.
She let out a little grunt that made him smile. She opened her eyes and smiled back at him. He moved closer, placed his arm around her waist, and kissed her. His hand slid down and caressed her ass.
"I'm so not a morning sex person," she said.
"Noted," he chuckled.
"Shower, breakfast and coffee and I'm all yours," she said. "And we both need to brush our teeth first. I hope you remembered your toothbrush."
"Of course," he said.
She pecked his lips and moved out of bed.
"Are you going on the road soon?" She asked.
"Why do you ask?" He asked.
"You brought a big bag," she said.
"I was kinda hoping you would let me stay for a few days," he said.
She looked at him and chuckled. He sat up, grabbed her legs, and pulled her in to stand between his legs. He placed a kiss on her stomach and looked up at her.
"Please," he said.
"How can I say no to those puppy eyes?" She asked.
He grinned at her and placed another kiss on her stomach.
"You're coming to work with me then," she said.
"Great. I wanna see your shop," he said.
"You're staying in the back," she said.
"If people know I'm there, you might get more customers," he said.
"With the amount of hate I've received this week, I'm good with my normal customers," she said. "I actually thought about just abandoning everything and moving to California to get away from it all."
His smile dropped and he sighed. He didn't want to be reminded of how much trouble he had caused her. It was Seth's doing but he still felt guilty. None of this would have happened if he hadn't shown her picture to Seth. She stepped away from him and grabbed some clothes from her wardrobe.
"I'm putting you to work though," she said.
"Damn! I'm being used as free labor," he said.
"I'm just teaching you a new skill. How to make your own scented candles. Maybe you can even come up with a new idea for a scent that I can title the Roman empire," she said.
He chuckled and stood up. He wrapped his arms around her and kissed her.
"Challenge accepted," he said. "How about we shower together?"
"You read my mind," she said.
"I'm gonna make sure you're clean," he said.
"You got a dirty mind," she said.
"You have no idea," he said. "In a few days you'll forget that other men even exist. I'll make sure of it."
