1. I saw the comment that if Deku had a quirk and received OFA, he would die early. Yes, I know that, but this is my fanfic, and I can do what I want. Not to mention there are hundreds of fanfics where Deku has multiple quirks and then he lives anyway. That and I don't give a damn so that's that.

I hope that you all enjoy the chapter of my fanfic.

CHAPTER 3: QUIRKS AND BATTLE TRAINING

Most of the mornings in U.A. they consisted of going to regular classes, like basic literature, math, history, science, and the like. Then the U.A. students would go to the cafeteria to eat nutrient-packed food and then it was finally time to do some hero training.

"I am here! Coming through the doorway like a hero!" yelled All Might. The students were in amazement at staring at the number one hero and were ready for anything now.

"Today we will be doing the most important training and that is battle training!" he said showing a card with the word battle on it.

"The biggest key to being a hero is looking good!" he said pointing to the wall with several cases coming out of the wall. Everyone was excited as they hadn't seen their costumes yet.

"These are your costumes based on what you sent in for requests. Now I am sure that you do not want me to keep babbling on about this so go get changed and meet me at Training Ground Beta!" he said getting some cheers from the class.

TRAINING GROUND BETA

Students slowly started to trickle out of the gateway as All Might looked at them in their hero costumes. The students stepped out one by one, each revealing their hero costume with a mix of excitement and nervousness. All Might watched with a broad smile, his pride in the aspiring heroes evident.

"Excellent! You all look ready to take on the world!" All Might bellowed, his voice full of encouragement. "Now, let me have a good look at you!" There was one more that had yet to walk and All Might heard him from the hallway.

FLASHBACK

"Hey kid I got something for you," said Toshinori walking into the apartment.

"What do you mean All Might?" he asked drying his hands from doing the dishes.

"Well, I'll just say this. Your notebook was open, and I got the base for your costume," he said showing him the jumpsuit.

"You like the color green and I figure why not give you something to help you. This fabric is made from a special material," Toshinori said, holding out the jumpsuit. "It's lightweight but durable and offers some pretty good protection. It's not the most high-tech suit out there, but I thought it would complement your fighting style and let you move freely. It's the same fabric I wear for my costume."

Izuku stared at the suit in awe, his hands trembling as he took it. The forest-green fabric had a sleek design, accented with black lines lining the sides and middle.

"All Might, I—" His voice cracked as he tried to find the right words. "This means so much. Thank you."

Toshinori smiled warmly, his hand ruffling Izuku's hair. "You're welcome, my boy. You've worked so hard to get here. Consider this a small boost to help you on your journey to becoming the greatest hero. I didn't want to design the rest for you as I think that should be your choice."

Izuku held the suit to his chest, tears welling in his eyes. "I won't let you down."

"Ok, but maybe simmer down on the waterworks," he said sweatdropping.

END OF FLASHBACK

Izuku adjusted the gloves on his hands, feeling a mixture of excitement and nervousness. The hero costume was more than just fabric—it was a symbol of how far he'd come and a tool to help him go even further. The forest-green suit hugged his frame, fitting perfectly thanks to the careful tailoring. The black and white accents added depth and style, a last-minute decision that gave the costume a more distinctive, layered look. It wasn't one hundred percent tight but it was semi-tight to the point there wouldn't be much drag. It also showed the hard work he had been putting in this past year with his muscles showing slightly.

The shimmering material wasn't just for show; its light, durable fabric offered protection without hindering his movement. Izuku knew the suit had been crafted with his needs in mind, but he'd also have to work hard to incorporate augmentations to enhance his quirk's utility. Once he understood his Elemental quirk more, then he would do that. He gave the finishing touch by pulling up his mask which made him look like a rabbit more than anything.

"Wow, Deku you look amazing. I kind of wish that I could've made this suit less skin-tight," said Uraraka. Izuku looked at her costume and was glad he had his mask over his face because he was blushing up a storm.

"Thanks, Uraraka," Izuku said, his voice slightly muffled by the mask. He adjusted the fit of his gloves nervously, trying to focus on anything other than her compliment. His mind raced, not just because of the snug suit he was wearing but because Uraraka's costume wasn't helping his concentration either. He forced himself to look away and instead ran his fingers over the seams of his suit. "It's comfortable, and it feels like it'll hold up in a fight."

Uraraka grinned, hands on her hips. "You're going to be the fastest one out there. With how flexible that fabric is, you'll be flipping and zipping around like a real pro."

"Yeah, that's the plan. That and did you call me Deku?" he asked quietly.

"Well, yeah I did because isn't that what Bakugo called you?" she asked genuinely.

"Ah yeah, he says that do make fun of me," he said scratching the back of his head.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I thought it meant something like you can do it or something like that. I thought it was cool," she said.

"You know what, maybe Deku isn't all that bad," he said to her making her smile.

"Then I guess I can call you that then huh," she said smiling harder than before.

All Might was shaking slightly from looking at Izuku. "This damn kid. You can't just look like me," he thought to himself.

"Alright you bunch of newbies listen up! Mr. Aizawa told me that we are going to be explaining our quirks to each other so we will all do that to get a better understanding and feel for each other. It is better to know as many people's quirks as possible so that you can adapt to situations in a moment. When you all become pros, we all have to work with people that we don't like, or our quirks don't match up!" he said pumping his fist in the air. "So let us get to explaining," he said.

The first to speak was Bakugo, who, true to form, shoved his way to the center of the group with a cocky grin. "Listen up, extras! My quirk is Explosion. I sweat nitroglycerin-like fluid from my palms, and I can detonate it at will. The more I sweat, the bigger the blast. Got it?"

Some of the students flinched at his booming tone, but Kaminari clapped, grinning. "Man, Bakugo, you're like a living firework show! Bet you're fun at parties."

"Shut it," Bakugo snapped, glaring.

"Let's keep it civil," Iida interjected, his arms moving in precise, chopping motions. "Bakugo's quirk is impressive, but we're here to learn, not argue."

"Whatever," Bakugo muttered, stepping back. "Next!"

Mina stepped forward, her pink skin glowing faintly in the sunlight. "My quirk is Acid! I can secrete this stuff from my hands and feet. I can control how corrosive it is and even use it to slide around!" She demonstrated by creating a small pool of acid beneath her feet, skating in a tight circle before stopping with a flourish.

"Cool!" Kirishima said, giving her a thumbs-up. "That's gotta be handy for both offense and defense."

"Exactly!" Mina said, beaming. "I've been working on shaping the acid for ranged attacks too."

As the explanations continued, Izuku took careful mental notes. Each quirk was so unique, and he couldn't help but analyze how they might interact in battle scenarios. Kaminari's Electrification, Jiro's Earphone Jack, and Shoji's Dupli-Arms were all fascinating in their ways. Even quirks like Sero's Tape or Hagakure's Invisibility, which seemed simple on the surface, had incredible potential with the right strategy.

Eventually, it was Uraraka's turn. She stepped forward, looking slightly nervous but determined. "My quirk is Zero Gravity. I can make objects float by touching them with my fingertips. I can lift to three tons if I push myself, but I get nauseous if I use it too much."

"That's incredible!" Izuku blurted out before he could stop himself. "The amount of control you have must take so much practice."

Uraraka blushed slightly but smiled. "Thanks, Deku. I've been working on using it in more creative ways, like redirecting debris during a fight."

"Impressive," Iida said, nodding approvingly. "Your quirk has both utility and versatility."

When it was finally Izuku's turn, he felt all eyes on him. He took a deep breath, stepping into the circle. He looked over to All Might who nodded at him. They had talked last night about what to say to avoid talking about One for All. "Um, my quirk is... uh, I call it Elemental. It lets me manipulate natural elements like Wind and Water. But, um, I'm still learning how to control it properly. The doctors had said to me that I can control a lot more in the future but for right now those are the only two I can control decently."

"So can you like, breathe fire then," asked Kaminari.

"What? No. I can control and manipulate the air around me as well as manipulate water. Then there is this," he said powering up Full Cowling.

"Now I am going to nerd out for a minute so sorry if you don't like that," he said looking at Bakugo whose eyes started to twitch.

"Lightning is one of those Elemental Natures. What you're seeing right now is the electricity flowing throughout my body. Every living thing has electricity that is natural in their body called bio-electricity. What you are seeing is me bringing that outward and using it to power up my punches, kicks, and the like," he said powering out of Full Cowling.

"Wait, wait, wait," Mina said, stepping forward with an almost comical expression of amazement. "So you're telling me you can literally, pull electricity from your own body and use it? That's insane, Midoriya! Do you, like, ever get fried from doing it?"

"No it isn't like Kaminari's from what he said earlier, I am using the power I have in my body when he has an endless supply of it for him," he said.

"Quite the interest quirk Young Midoriya but we must move on to the battle phases of this class. Firstly we will be paired into teams of two and there will be a total of five matches. So here is the scenario laid before you!" he said taking out some notes on the subject.

"The villains will guard a nuclear weapon they intend on deploying and the heroes must stop their scheme; if the heroes capture the villains or reach the nuclear core before time runs out, they win; if the villains manage to keep the nuclear core for the whole time or they capture the heroes, they win! Now we will put your names into a lottery and we will choose the names at random and that will be your team!" he said closing the notes up.

"Doesn't this seem a little advanced," said Tsuyu.

"This may be advanced but you are more like to fight tougher villains inside of buildings. Secret hideouts, drug deals, bunkers, and other reasons such as weapons in the case of this scenario," he said.

"All right, students!" All Might boomed, holding up a clipboard with the lottery results. "I've randomized the teams, and here's who will be facing off! Team A will be Midoriya and Jiro as the heroes, versus Team D, Bakugo, and Iida as the villains! The heroes must wait for 5 minutes while the villains prepare. Everyone else, come to the observation room to watch the results," he said gesturing for them to follow him.

The announcement sent a ripple of reactions through the group. Bakugo smirked confidently, crossing his arms and glancing at Izuku with a fiery glare.

"Hope you're ready to lose, Deku," he sneered. "You're not getting anywhere near the core."

As the rest of the class filed into the observation room, Izuku and Jiro exchanged a glance. She gave him a slight nod, plugging one of her earphone jacks into her leg and adjusting the dials.

"Looks like we're up against some tough opponents," Jiro said. "Bakugo's explosiveness and Iida's speed make them a solid pair."

"Yeah," Izuku agreed, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. "But we can use their aggression to our advantage. Iida's quirk is straightforward and relies on speed, while Bakugo will try to overpower us. If we can stay coordinated and outsmart them, we have a shot."

Jiro smirked. "Good thing I'm not the type to rush in. You lead, and I'll back you up with sound attacks."

Izuku nodded, feeling a bit more confident. He flipped open his notebook, quickly sketching a rough map of the training ground they'd be using. "They'll probably have Bakugo roaming as the attacker and know him his pride won't let me get off scot-free so he will be looking for me, while Iida guards the core. Not to mention they probably haven't moved the core because it is super heavy, so they won't move it. "

"Sounds about right," Jiro said. "What's the plan?"

"Oh, just wait. I got a good one," he said smirking. "That would be…what…come on tell me your secrets," she said impatiently.

"They didn't say we had to go through the building," he said pointing up. Jiro looked up and saw there was a balcony with some windows on the side. "Wait, hold on! You want to jump up there!" she said a bit nervously at that.

"Think about letting Kaachan roam the building it is a 2 versus 1 on Iida. Besides I've made jumps like that before," he said calming her down.

Jiro's eyes widened as she processed Izuku's plan. "Wait, so you're saying we completely avoid Bakugo and head straight for Iida? Won't Bakugo figure out where we're going?"

Izuku nodded. "Exactly. I would rather deal with Iida's speed than Bakugo's explosions. Plus we can use your earphone jacks to listen in on what's going on. I will get us up there to the roof then lower you down to the balcony and we will use that as our chance to sneak into the window. Like I said eariler, Bakugo will likely be looking for me so we should be fine," he said seeing how she would react.

"Not a horrible idea but how are we getting up there," she said crossing her arms.

"Oh, you'll be on my back then I jump up there," he replied.

Jiro blinked in surprise, then tilted her head skeptically. "You're saying you're gonna carry me on your back and leap up there? Are you sure you're not overestimating yourself, Midoriya?"

Izuku chuckled nervously, scratching the back of his head. "Trust me, I can make it."

Jiro tapped her foot thoughtfully, glancing at the balcony again. "All right, Midoriya, but if you drop me, I swear to god, I'm blasting you with the loudest soundwave I've got."

Izuku smiled sheepishly. "Fair deal."

The five-minute prep time ticked down quickly. As the clock struck zero, All Might's booming voice echoed through the building. "Begin!"

"All right," Izuku whispered, stopping at a spot beneath the balcony. "Hop on."

Jiro hesitated for only a second before climbing onto his back, wrapping her arms around him in a piggyback position. "I swear to god, you better not mess this up," she muttered.

Izuku activated Full Cowling, green sparks of energy crackling around his body as he crouched low to the ground. He focused the energy on his legs, feeling the power building beneath him like a coiled spring.

"Hold on tight!" he said, his voice steady but determined.

Jiro tightened her grip around his shoulders, her nerves clear despite her usual composed demeanor. "You better stick the landing," she muttered.

With a powerful burst of energy, Izuku leaped into the air, his enhanced strength propelling them both upward. The world seemed to blur for a moment as they soared toward the rooftop. In a controlled arc, Izuku landed softly on the roof's edge, bending his knees to absorb the impact.

"Not bad," Jiro admitted, letting go and stepping off his back. "You actually pulled it off."

Izuku smiled, breathing out a sigh of relief. "Told you I could do it. Now let's get to the balcony."

The rooftop was flat and provided a clear view of the training ground's layout. The balcony was a few feet below them, its glass windows leading directly into one of the central rooms. Izuku carefully crouched near the edge, glancing over to ensure the coast was clear.

"Okay," he said, motioning for Jiro to come closer. "I'll lower you down first. Once you're on the balcony, signal me when it's safe."

Jiro nodded, her confidence returning. "Got it. Just don't drop me, genius."

Izuku grinned nervously. "Wouldn't dream of it."

He grabbed Jiro's wrists securely, lowering her carefully over the edge. She dangled for a moment, her boots finding footing on the balcony railing before she hopped down silently. Jiro stayed to the side of the window to make sure she wasn't seen and motioned for Izuku to come down.

OBSERVATION ROOM

All Might wasn't surprised that he could make the jump from the ground to the roof of a fifth-story building, but he was surprised that he was doing a sneak attack on them.

"Take notes students. There are many scenarios where heroes will use stealth and other methods to help them in capturing villains. What they did is very clever," he said.

"That isn't very manly of him to do," said Kirishima folding his arms.

"Guys I think we are ignoring the fact that Midoriya just jumped from the road to the roof of a fifth-story building," said Tsuyu.

Yaoyorozu hummed thoughtfully, her eyes narrowing as she analyzed the situation. "It's actually a smart move. Given Bakugo's explosive nature and Iida's speed, confronting them head-on would be risky. By bypassing the main building, they're taking the element of surprise into his own hands."

"But still!" Kirishima exclaimed, throwing his arms up. "It's not the manliest thing to do, sneaking around like that."

WITH JIRO AND IZUKU

"Alright what do you hear, Jiro," he asked whispering to her.

"Iida is on the other side of this wall guarding the weapon and he sent off Bakugo because I can't hear any other footsteps aside from his so Bakugo has to be on the lower levels," she said retracting her Earphone Jack.

"Alright," he said peaking inside, so he wasn't visible to Iida.

"Iida has the weapon in the corner so I think you should go in and make him think that you are the only one here. Then I go through the other window from the other end while you have him distracted and take him down with the restraining tape," he said pulling out the tape.

Jiro considered Izuku's plan for a moment, her fingers tapping lightly on her thigh. "So, I'm the decoy?" she asked, a small smirk tugging at her lips.

Izuku nodded, his expression serious but excited. "Yeah, but you won't be defenseless. Use your sound waves to keep him on his toes. The goal is to make him focus entirely on you while I get into position."

"Got it," Jiro said, her confidence steady. "But you'd better move fast, Midoriya. Iida's probably not the easiest guy to keep distracted."

"Trust me, I will," Izuku replied. "Once you have his attention, I'll count to ten, then I'll make my move."

Jiro gave a sharp nod and silently slid the window open. She slipped inside the room, her movements as quiet as a whisper. Izuku watched as she straightened her stance.

INSIDE THE ROOM

Iida stood tall on the far side of the room, his posture rigid and his gaze focused. The mock weapon was situated behind him, glowing faintly in the dim light. His engines hissed softly as he remained on high alert.

Jiro stepped into view; her hands casually placed on her hips as if she had all the time in the world. "Yo, Iida. Keeping busy?" she called out, her tone light but challenging.

Iida's head snapped toward her, his glasses catching the faint glow of the weapon behind him. "Jiro! How did you get in here?!" he exclaimed, his engines roaring as he prepared to sprint.

Jiro shrugged nonchalantly, her earphone jacks swaying slightly as she moved. "Wouldn't you like to know?" she teased, extending one of her jacks toward him.

Iida dashed forward, aiming to close the distance between them. But Jiro was ready. She sent a sharp burst of sound toward the floor in front of him, the shockwave forcing him to stop abruptly.

"Not so fast," Jiro said with a smirk. "You didn't think I'd make it easy for you, did you?"

OUTSIDE THE ROOM

Izuku moved swiftly along the building's edge, carefully making his way to the other window. He crouched low, peering inside to see Iida's back turned as he faced off against Jiro. His heart raced as he counted under his breath.

"One… two… three…"

Jiro's voice echoed through the room, her taunts keeping Iida's focus solely on her.

"Four… five… six…"

Izuku reached the other window, silently sliding it open. He climbed inside, staying low to avoid being seen.

"Seven… eight… nine…"

INSIDE THE ROOM

Iida charged again, this time dodging to the side to avoid Jiro's soundwaves. "You're persistent, but this ends now!" he declared, his engines flaring as he prepared for a high-speed maneuver.

Jiro grinned. "Persistent? You haven't seen anything yet," she said, unleashing another sonic burst that rattled the room.

"Ten," Izuku whispered to himself as he stood to his full height.

With a burst of green energy, Izuku activated Full Cowling and dashed toward Iida from behind. The crackling sound of his quirk was barely audible over the commotion Jiro was causing.

Iida sensed the movement too late. He spun around just as Izuku reached him, the restraining tape in his hands ready to deploy.

"Sorry, Iida!" Izuku shouted, quickly wrapping the tape around Iida's arms and legs.

Iida struggled against the bindings, his engines sputtering as he tried to move. "Midoriya! You… planned this all along! I hate you, heroes, always meddling in my plans" he said, his voice a mix of admiration and villainy.

"Yeah, but we completed that plan together. Now that one of the villains is restrained let us go get the weapon secured," he said putting Iida against the wall and pointing to the weapon.

"GODDAMMIT!" yelled Bakugo running around the corner. "I knew something was up when I ran to the entrance to see either of you wasn't there, so I figured it was a sneak attack!" he said preparing himself. "You think you can pull one up on me, Deku?" he asked annoyed.

"No, but you are outmatched two to one here Kaachan," he said with himself and Jiro getting into a stance of their own.

"Then the good thing I have been saving this then." Bakugo's smirk widened as he grabbed the pin of his grenade gauntlet. Izuku's heart sank. He put 2 and 2 together and knew what was coming. It was aimed right at him and Jiro, and he knew he wasn't fast enough to move out of the way.

Izuku's mind raced, adrenaline surging through him as he dove toward Jiro. "Get down!" he yelled, wrapping his arms around her and pulling her to the floor.

The room erupted in a deafening explosion as Bakugo unleashed the full force of his grenade gauntlet. A shockwave blasted outward, scorching the walls and sending debris flying. Smoke filled the air, making it difficult to see or breathe.

As the smoke cleared, Izuku stood protectively over Jiro, his hands glowing faintly with a soft green aura as he manipulated the air to disperse the thick cloud. His chest heaved with exertion, but his sharp eyes remained locked on Bakugo, who stood on the other side of the room with a self-satisfied smirk. His suit was slightly singed but otherwise, it would be easy to repair.

"Well, looks like you're not entirely useless, Deku," Bakugo sneered, his voice dripping with arrogance. "But don't think for a second that trick will save you next time."

Izuku steadied his breathing, helping Jiro to her feet. "Are you okay?" he asked, concern lacing his voice.

Jiro nodded, brushing herself off. "Yeah, thanks for the save. That blast could've fried us both."

Izuku gave a faint smile before turning back to Bakugo, his expression hardening. "Kaachan, you're taking this way too far! This is just a training exercise. You didn't need to blow up half the room and the wall out!"

Bakugo scoffed, flexing his fingers as sparks crackled in his palms. "That's your problem, Deku. You're too soft. In the real world, villains won't hold back, so why should I? If you can't handle it, maybe you're not cut out to be a hero."

Izuku's fists clenched. "You know what I am not going to give in to your stupid tendencies," he said activated Full Cowling.

"Oh yeah, now we are going to have some fun," he said letting off some mini explosions from his hands.

Jiro slowly got into a stance not sure what was going to happen. "Uh, Midoriya…what the heck are we doing?"

"This…" he said. In the blink of an eye, his hand was on the weapon, and he looked over at Bakugo who looked shocked.

"The Heroes win!" yelled All Might.

Jiro untied Iida as he slowly got up. "Good match you two. It was a very well thought out plan," he said flexing his arm from the pain.

"You little nerd! That was a cheap move!" Bakugo barked, his crimson eyes blazing with frustration.

Izuku took a cautious step back, raising his free hand in a placating gesture. "It wasn't cheap, Kaachan. It was strategy. You were so focused on fighting that you didn't notice what I was doing."

"That doesn't matter, that just shows you were too much of a coward to even fight me. You think you are better than me with the Elemental quirk you have," he said poking him in the chest.

"That has nothing to do with that. I didn't want us to get severely hurt from this. Especially from the attack you were saving in your gauntlet. Do you know how stupid that was?" he asked frustrated.

"All I know was I was trying to take out the heroes like the objective said," said Bakugo folding his arms.

Izuku pinched the bridge of his nose and pointed to the weapon in the corner. "Kaachan. That weapon is supposed to be a nuclear bomb," he said walking over and smacking it. "You have an Explosion quirk. Not even a villain is dumb enough to do the move you just did," he said making Bakugo growl at him.

Bakugo's growl deepened, his crimson eyes narrowing dangerously. "What did you just say, Deku? Are you calling me stupid?"

Izuku held his ground, his green eyes locked onto Bakugo's. "I'm not calling you stupid, Kaachan. I'm saying what you did was reckless and could've gotten everyone hurt. In a real scenario, you might've triggered the bomb with that blast."

Iida stepped forward, his arms crossed, clearly backing Izuku. "He's right, Bakugo. You could've destroyed the whole building—or worse. And you didn't even consider that. Not to mention we were on the same team, and I could've been caught in the blast," he said taking his helmet off

Bakugo's hands sparked with tiny explosions as his temper flared. "Tch. Do you think I don't know how to control my quirk? I knew what I was doing!"

"Alright my young awesome heroes that is enough of the battle," said All Might landing in the hole in the wall that Bakugo created.

All Might stood tall, his larger-than-life presence immediately commanding the attention of everyone in the room. His bright smile, though slightly strained, carried a mixture of pride and disappointment. "An impressive battle, everyone, but we must remember—training is about growth, not destruction. Young Bakugo, I understand your passion, but as a hero, control and foresight are just as important as strength."

Bakugo clicked his tongue and turned his head away, arms crossed. "I don't need a lecture. I had it under control."

All Might's smile wavered slightly, but his voice remained firm. "Control isn't just about your quirk, young Bakugo. It's about controlling yourself. Hero work isn't just about power; it's about using that power responsibly to protect lives."

"Ugghh, whatever let's just go to the room and get the results over with," he said walking out of the room.

All Might still smiled sighed at the antics of the hero in training and turned to the other three. "You three are ok right?" he asked with all of them nodding.

"Good. Then let us head to the observation room," he said signaling them to follow.

As they made their way to the observation room, the tension between Izuku and Bakugo lingered in the air. Even though the mission was over, Bakugo's fiery temperament seemed far from cooled, his fists still crackling with residual energy. Izuku didn't try to engage him further, instead opting to walk beside Jiro, who was still giving him a curious glance.

Izuku's mind, though, wasn't on Bakugo's ranting or the adrenaline that had been coursing through him during the exercise. His thoughts were on what had just transpired—the narrow escape from the blast, the way he'd been forced to act quickly to avoid a catastrophe. He wasn't one to point out Bakugo's mistakes, but sometimes, it felt like his classmate's recklessness pushed them all closer to danger rather than away from it.

"Midoriya, are you sure you're alright?" Jiro asked again, her voice low, not wanting to bring attention to him in front of the others.

Izuku looked over at her, offering her a reassuring smile. "I'm fine, Jiro. A little scorched, but nothing a good rest won't fix."

She raised an eyebrow, unconvinced, but decided not to press further. The group entered the observation room.

"Alright, everyone. After all of that, I will be awarding the MVP of this round to young Midoriya over here. Can anyone explain why?" said All Might, pointing to him, who blushed from embarrassment.

Momo was the first to raise her hand to explain why and All Might gestured for her to speak.

Momo stood up; her expression thoughtful as she addressed the room. "Midoriya's strategy was brilliantly executed. He was the key to turning the tide of this exercise. Not only did he make the calculated decision to avoid Bakugo's explosives, but he also ensured that Iida was neutralized without unnecessary confrontation. The teamwork between him and Jiro was exceptional—he had the foresight to use her quirk to distract Iida while he used his agility and quirk to secure the weapon."

All Might nodded approvingly, his hands behind his back as he watched Momo speak. "That's right, Momo. Midoriya showed the importance of strategy and adaptability. He was able to think on his feet and adjust his tactics based on the environment, even in the heat of the moment."

Izuku shifted uncomfortably, his face turning slightly red as his classmates continued to praise his efforts. "It wasn't just me. Jiro did an amazing job distracting Iida and keeping him off balance. Without her, I wouldn't have been able to get close enough to use the restraining tape. It was a team effort. Not to mention when she used her sound blasts away from the weapon. That and I took advantage of the fact that it was training, and I just rushed to touch the weapon and get a victory," he said.

"While that is true as Momo said. You still protected Jiro from the blast, devised a sound strategy, and used your quirk to capture young Iida," said All Might giving a thumbs up. "So does anyone have any more questions?"

Tsuyu raised her hand and looked at Midoriya, "Yeah I have two questions. My first one is how did you not get all that hurt from Bakugo's close-range attack? My second one is how did you know the weapon would be on the top floor?" she asked. Bakugo looked to Izuku as he was curious as well. He would've thought Izuku was gonna be more burned to hell than that.

Izuku rubbed the back of his neck nervously, his face turning a deeper shade of red as all eyes fell on him. "Uh, well… for the first question, I didn't exactly come out unscathed," he admitted, glancing down at the faint scorch marks on his hero costume. "But what I did was when Kaachan fired the blast at us I jumped over Jiro and started to rotate air around us to use as a protective barrier. It didn't work 100% but it still was better than taking a blast in the face. As for the weapon being on the top floor. Even if it was a fake weapon, it still weighs a lot and it wouldn't have been moving easily," he said looking at everyone.

"You have to be rotating the air pretty quickly to create a protective dome around you guys," said Tsuyu thinking about what Izuku said.

"Yeah, I have a question too." Bakugo crossed their arms in anger, "Deku why the hell didn't you use your quirk when we were kids." Izuku looked at him confused which made Bakugo angrier.

"Do you think you are better than me not using it on me when we were younger or what!" he asked getting in his face. Izuku was having an internal conflict right now because if he told him that he was quirkless less than a few months ago he might lose some of the few friends he had. It didn't matter, had had to tell him now. Izuku clenched his fist preparing for backlash if there was any.

"It's hard to use something that you didn't have," he said making everyone shocked at the response.

"You know what I might as well tell everyone now," he said stepping back from Bakugo who didn't know what to say.

All Might was praying that he wasn't referring to One for All, but he knew better than to not trust his disciple.

"My quirk, Elemental, I got a few months ago," he said making most of the people gasp. "I was deemed quirkless when I was a kid but that changed a few months ago when I found out I had a quirk all this time," he said looking sad.

"How is that possible," asked Sero.

"It is called a Dormant Quirk. You need to meet the requirements to activate it. Mine activated for many reasons I can list but I met those requirements and it activated a few months before the U.A. entrance exam," he said looking at the ground.

The room went silent after Izuku's revelation. His classmates were trying to process what he had just said. The idea of someone being quirkless only to have their quirk manifest years later was almost unheard of. It wasn't that they doubted him, but the implications were staggering.

"You're telling me… you were quirkless until this year?" Ochaco asked, breaking the silence. Her tone was a mix of curiosity and disbelief. Izuku nodded which sparked many more conversations.

"I think I speak for all of us when we say it doesn't matter that you used to be considered quirkless," said Iida with everyone else nodding.

"Really?!" asked Izuku shocked.

"Yeah, man, it doesn't matter to me," Kirishima said, shrugging with a wide grin. "What matters is who you are now, and you've proven you've got what it takes to be a hero."

Izuku nodded getting reassuring looks from everyone. Bakugo scoffed walking away from him not saying a word. Izuku sighed knowing that satisfied him.

"All right now that is done with how about we take this to the next building and run another match!" said All Might.

IZUKU'S POV

I sure am glad that everyone didn't care I used to be quirkless. I was worried because there are quite a few people that don't want anything to do with quirkless people and believe me I have had my fair share of that in the past 10 years I was deemed quirkless.

As the matches progressed, I found myself both analyzing and admiring my classmates' abilities. Each one had a unique style and approach, and it was fascinating to see how their quirks worked in real-world scenarios. Even Mineta, whose behavior could sometimes be a bit much, had a solid understanding of his quirk's utility.

Todoroki and Shoji vs. Ojiro and Hagakure
Watching Todoroki was like witnessing pure precision. As soon as the match started, he unleashed a wave of ice that encapsulated most of the building, effectively immobilizing Ojiro and Hagakure. Shoji acted as his eyes and ears, scouting and ensuring no surprises. It was efficient, maybe too efficient. The match ended so quickly that it left little room for strategy or counterplay.
"Man," Kirishima whispered beside me, "Todoroki's ice is insane. He didn't even need to use his fire."
"Yeah," I nodded, scribbling notes in my notebook. "His control is incredible. It's like he knows exactly how much to use to lock down the situation without overexerting himself."

Tokoyami and Asui vs. Kirishima and Sero
The next match was more evenly matched, which made it even more thrilling to watch. Tokoyami's Dark Shadow worked in tandem with Tsuyu's agility and versatility, while Kirishima's hardening and Sero's tape quirk made for a formidable defense. At one point, Dark Shadow lunged toward Kirishima, but his hardened body absorbed the impact, leaving him grinning like he was enjoying the challenge.
"Tokoyami's quirk is powerful, but it's limited by the light in the environment," I muttered to myself. "If someone could manipulate the lighting, they could potentially neutralize Dark Shadow."
Despite their best efforts, Kirishima and Sero were overwhelmed by the combined teamwork of Tokoyami and Asui, who managed to capture their opponents with a well-timed ambush.

Yaoyorozu and Mineta vs. Kaminari and Uraraka
This match had me completely engrossed. Yaoyorozu's ability to create objects on the fly was incredible, and she used Mineta's sticky balls to set traps and slow down their opponents. Kaminari, on the other hand, used his electricity to disrupt their coordination, while Uraraka floated debris to keep them off balance.
"Yaoyorozu has incredible potential," I thought. "But she needs time to think, which could be exploited in a high-pressure situation."
The match ended with Yaoyorozu and Mineta narrowly winning after Mineta's traps immobilized Kaminari, allowing Yaoyorozu to capture him with a makeshift net.

Koda and Sato vs. Ashido and Aoyama
This match was chaotic but entertaining. Koda's ability to command animals added an unpredictable element, while Sato's brute strength was a force to be reckoned with. On the other side, Ashido's acid and Aoyama's laser attacks made for a flashy combination. At one point, Ashido melted part of the floor to trap Sato, but he powered through with sheer strength, breaking free and catching Ashido off guard.
The match ended with Aoyama distracting Koda long enough for Ashido to land a decisive blow, securing their team's victory.

By the end of the matches, my notebook was filled with observations and strategies. I tried not to think about how nerdy it must have looked, but analyzing quirks and combat strategies was just too fascinating to resist.

3rd PERSON POV

"All right, class!" All Might's voice boomed, drawing everyone's attention. "That concludes today's exercises! I must say, I'm impressed with how you've all performed. But remember, this is just the beginning. There's always room for improvement whether you win or fail!"

"Thanks for today All Might. This was much better than yesterday because Mr. Aizawa can be a bit of a buzzkill," said Tsuyu with everyone agreeing.

"You are welcome! Now watch me and how a True Hero makes an exit!" he said leaning back before launching off and running down the hall.

Ojiro sighed, "Ah man, I will never be able to run that fast."

3 HOURS LATER

After finishing up classes for the day Midoriya was wondering the U.A. facilities to find an area to train. While his Wind and Air Manipulation was able to be used at will his Water Manipulation was 50/50 right now. He wanted to find an area to be able to help him in this area without too much trouble and he had about a couple of hours before the U.A. campus would be shut down.

He eventually stumbled upon a large outdoor area, a serene training zone surrounded by high walls to ensure privacy. It featured a massive pool in the center, designed for students with aquatic quirks or water-based abilities. Izuku's face lit up as he realized this was exactly what he needed. No one was around at this hour, allowing him to practice without distractions or interruptions. He originally had been going back to the ocean to practice which helped him a lot but he needed a more still body of water for right now.

He crouched by the pool's edge, dipping his hand into the water. Closing his eyes, he focused on the sensation of the liquid against his fingers. Visualizing the water responding to his will, he imagined a small wave forming. Slowly, he pulled his hand upward.

The water trembled, small ripples radiating outward. Then, with more focus, a tiny column of water rose in front of him, wobbling like jelly before collapsing back into the pool.

"Not horrible, but not good enough," Izuku muttered, jotting notes. He tried again, this time attempting to create a smooth, stable flow. It took several tries, but eventually, he managed to lift a small, steady stream of water, guiding it from one side of the pool to the other like a floating ribbon.

"Progress," he smiled, wiping sweat from his brow. He made a note to revisit this drill daily to improve precision.

The pool was an Olympic-sized swimming but it was still big enough that he wanted to test something. "I wonder if I can create a whirlpool," he said standing up. The idea of creating a whirlpool excited him—it would test not just his control but also his ability to manipulate a large volume of water at once. If he could master this, it could be a powerful technique both offensively and defensively. He couldn't do this technique with a constantly moving body of water like the ocean just yet so he wanted to start practicing with a still body of water.

He began by summoning a gentle circular motion, drawing water into a spiral. The first few attempts were clumsy—the water splashed and broke apart before forming any cohesive movement.

"Too much force," he realized. "I need to guide the water, not push it."

Slowing his breathing, Izuku visualized the water moving in a smooth, controlled circle. He curled his fingers slightly, coaxing the liquid into motion. This time, a small whirlpool began to form. It wasn't perfect—ripples disrupted the flow—but it held together for several seconds before dispersing.

"Yes!" he exclaimed, scribbling notes in his notebook. "I need to practice sustaining it longer, but this is a good start." He spent the next 20 minutes refining the vortex, focusing on keeping the flow consistent. By the end, he could maintain a small whirlpool for nearly a minute.

Confident in his progress, Izuku decided to scale up. Standing at the edge of the pool, he raised both hands, envisioning a larger spiral that would pull the entire surface of the water into motion. This time, he used his wind manipulation to assist, creating a light breeze that skimmed across the water's surface.

The combination of wind and water created a noticeable swirl, but it quickly became unstable, with waves splashing out of the pool. Izuku stumbled back as the water surged unpredictably.

"Okay, note to self: too much wind equals chaos," he said, shaking his head and jotting down the observation. "Let's try again, but keep the wind subtle."

This time, Izuku focused on guiding the water with his hands while using just enough wind to maintain the rotation. Slowly, the pool began to spin. The whirlpool wasn't large, but it was steady. Izuku could feel the strain in his arms as he worked to keep the motion under control.

"Getting there," he muttered, beads of sweat forming on his forehead. The water swirled faster, creating a visible vortex at the center of the pool. It wasn't strong enough to pull anything in, but the sight filled Izuku with pride.

"Ok, I think that should be enough for the day," he said picking up his bag and grabbing a new shirt to change into.

"Midoriya," said Aizawa.

Izuku froze, clutching his bag tightly as he turned to face his teacher. Aizawa stood in his usual relaxed posture, arms crossed, with an unreadable expression on his face. The dim lighting of the training area cast long shadows across his features, making him seem even more intimidating.

"Sensei! Uh… I wasn't expecting anyone to—" Izuku stammered, his mind racing with excuses. Was he not supposed to be here? Had he stayed past the allowed hours?

Aizawa raised a hand to cut him off. "Relax, you're not in trouble. I was making my rounds and noticed the pool's cameras picked up some… interesting activity."

Izuku's face turned red as he realized his training session had been monitored. "I-I was just trying to improve my water manipulation! It's still inconsistent, so I thought—"

"I saw," Aizawa interrupted, his voice calm but firm. "You made decent progress. But there's still a lot to work on."

"Yes sir," he said walking out of the exit with Aizawa next to him.

"Listen, Midoriya, your quirk, Elemental, is something that can be used for an infinite number of things. If you can control six different aspects of elements that would be great for your arsenal," he said.

"Yes, it would. This might sound dumb but how do you know about it that specifically?" he asked.

"We had a meeting going over quirks from the new students and that is when I found out you were one of those rare cases where your quirk developed a few months before the exams," he said looking at him.

"I didn't realize the school kept such detailed tabs on us," Izuku admitted, scratching the back of his head.

"It's our job," Aizawa said matter-of-factly. "The faculty needs to understand every student's quirk inside and out. Especially in your case, since your quirk has such a wide range of potential applications. This leads me to say I am sorry for how I treated you when you only use a fraction of your power because your body can't handle it."

"You don't have to be sorry Sensei. It is my fault for not understanding everything I can do with my quirk yet," he said honestly.

"No, Midoriya," Aizawa interrupted his voice firm. "It was my responsibility as your teacher to push you toward improvement, but I let my initial judgment of you cloud how I approached you. I mistook your cautiousness for a lack of potential. That was my failure. You had to learn your quirk and its mechanics within a few months when everyone else coming had over a decade to work with their quirk. It's like you are learning how to crawl when they are already running."

"Yeah I guess," he said.

"Listen to me though. I am sorry for judging you, I am not sorry for what I said. The sad reality is in this world people are born with quirks that are weak, strong, weird, pointless, or have loads of potential. I am trying to get every single one of you to unlock more and more potential every day because the world needs new and stronger heroes. The strong will survive while the weak are left behind," he said.

Izuku listened intently as Aizawa's words sank in. He had always admired his teacher's brutal honesty and no-nonsense attitude, even when it stung. Hearing this from Aizawa now, after the rocky start to their teacher-student relationship, made him feel both humbled and motivated.

"I understand, Sensei," Izuku said quietly. "I've always felt like I was behind everyone else, but I'll keep working to catch up. I won't let you down."

Aizawa gave him a small nod. "Good. That's the kind of mindset you need to survive—not just in this school, but in the field. But you also need to recognize that catching up isn't about trying to match everyone else's pace. It's about finding your way forward and mastering it," he said leaving the building with Izuku beside him.

Izuku nodded, determination flickering in his eyes. "I'll do my best," he said leaving a nodding Aizawa as they parted ways. He had a feeling he was on his way to becoming something great.

Meanwhile, in a dimly lit secret base, the atmosphere was thick with anticipation. Shigaraki Tomura sat in a worn-out chair, his fingers twitching with impatience. The man who had warped into the room, Kurogiri, stood tall and shadowy beside him.

"Everything is set in motion for tomorrow, Shigaraki," Kurogiri reported, his voice smooth and unwavering.

Shigaraki's lips curled into a sinister smile; his eyes gleaming with a dangerous light. "Excellent," he purred, tapping his fingers together in a rhythm of malevolence. "I think it's time to deal with this so-called number one hero and end him once and for all."

His laugh echoed through the room, a chilling sound that sent shivers down Kurogiri's spine. Shigaraki's excitement was palpable, the thrill of impending chaos coursing through his veins. The League of Villains had been planning this for months, and now, everything was falling into place.

"Tomorrow will be a day to remember," Shigaraki mused, his voice barely above a whisper. "We'll show them what true power looks like."

Kurogiri nodded, his loyalty to Shigaraki unwavering. "Indeed. The heroes won't know what hit them."
