Oliver sat on the edge of the bed across from Matt who sat in a chair. "It's good to see you Oliver. It's been a long time" Matt said.
Oliver nodded. "So why now? Why would you come now" he asked.
"I had to make sure it was safe" Matt said.
"Safe from what" Oliver asked.
"The people who killed your parents. I had to make sure no one was on to the fact that you existed" Matt explained.
"Did you know I was in Metropolis? You could have approached me then" Oliver said.
Matt shook his head. "It wasn't safe. There's been a lot of questions about your parents death. People have been looking into it and into me. I couldn't risk anyone finding out about you because of me" Matt explained.
Oliver rolled his eyes. "What it's safe now" he asked sarcastically.
"People have stopped asking about your parents death and I heard you were in the hospital and I had to see you" Matt said.
"That's why you stopped visiting when I was 5" Oliver asked.
Matt nodded. "It was too dangerous. I was too connected to your father. If I had kept visiting you people eventually would have made the connection and your father made a huge effort to make sure there was no connection between the Kents and your parents" Matt said.
Oliver sighed frustrated. "They're not just two people who raised me. Jonathan and Martha Kent are my parents too" Oliver said not liking how Matt seemed to be dismissing Jonathan and Martha.
Matt held his hands up. "I apologize. I didn't mean any offense. I just wanted to talk to you" Matt said.
Oliver looked at him seriously. "Do you know what happened to my parents? Who killed them" he asked.
Matt shook his head. "Unfortunately no. I have an idea but I can't prove it" he said.
"Well who do you think did it" Oliver asked.
Matt sighed. "Oliver listen. Just let it go. Live your life. Don't worry about all of that. It's in the past" Matt said.
Oliver stood up from the bed. "I can't. They were my parents. I can't just let it go" Oliver said. He walked over to the table and handed Matt the note he read from his parents. "I need to know what happened to them. They deserve justice" Oliver said.
Matt looked up from the note at Oliver. "I already read the note and it is not your place to give anybody justice" Matt said.
"Who then because no one seems to give a crap that they're dead" Oliver asked.
Now Matt stood up. "That's not true. I care. Your parents were not only people I was paid to protect but they were also…my friends" Matt said.
Oliver sat down and looked up at Matt. "I'm sorry. I know this must be hard for you considering you actually knew them" Oliver said.
Matt sat back down and nodded. "It is. They were the best friends and people that I ever knew" he said.
"Please I need to know what you think happened to them" Oliver said.
Matt looked at Oliver and sighed. "Fine. Just know I have no proof he did anything to your parents. All I know is the incident that happened between them" he said.
"What incident" Oliver asked.
"It was Christmas eve. Your mother was pregnant with you. About 4 months I'd say. I was one of the only people who knew besides your parents. Anyway, your father would always give all of the employees a Christmas bonus and the night off to enjoy with our families. I always liked to make sure everything was OK so I would drive back over just to check on things. I arrived at the mansion and I was checking it to make sure everything was OK when I heard it" Matt said.
"Heard what" Oliver asked.
"I heard yelling coming from Roberts office. I ran over took out my gun and was about to walk in when the door flew open and…Lionel Luthor walked out" Matt said. Oliver always knew he couldn't trust the Luthor's. "He just looked at me and walked past me angrily. When I asked Robert what happened he brushed it off and told me not to worry about it but that night changed him. He was more paranoid, he made mistakes out on the field as Green Arrow that I had never seen him make before and Laura…" Matt started to say but stopped himself.
"What happened with my mother" he asked.
"Well Robert had her in hiding. No one could know that she was pregnant. I was the only one besides Robert who knew where she was. Anyway, one day while I was checking on her she had one request for me. One that was really weird" Matt said.
"What was it" Oliver asked.
Matt gave Oliver a little smile. "That whatever happened to her and Robert, I made sure you ended up with the Kents. They were your only chance to survive. She said they were the only people they trusted to raise you" Matt explained. Oliver and Matt just sat there silent. "Robert wanted to help people. He wanted to make the world a safer place not just for you but for everyone. That's why he became the Green Arrow. I helped train him and he was good. He made a lot of enemies though" Matt said.
Oliver looked at Matt seriously. "Help me" he said.
Matt looked at him confused. "What" he asked.
"I have to continue what my father started. Do what you did with my father for me. I can take over as Green Arrow" Oliver said.
Matt shook his head. "Oliver you can't. It's dangerous and if anyone finds out who you are they'll kill you" Matt said.
"I'm honestly getting sick and tired of people trying to protect me. I make my own choices and right now I've made this choice" Oliver said.
"Oliver, Robert would want you to…" Matt began but Oliver interrupted him.
"Make my own choice. Read the letter again. My mother and father said that they wanted me to make my own choice. Besides I have a tendency to be quite stubborn and if you won't help me I'll just go out and do it myself" he said.
Matt just sat there staring at Oliver. He could tell Oliver was telling the truth. Robert was gone but he still felt a duty to protect Oliver. "Fine. I'll help you but we do it on my terms" Matt said. Oliver smiled and nodded his head. He took out a piece of paper. He wrote something down on it and handed it to Oliver. "Meet me here on Thursday. We'll start then" Matt said.
"OK" Oliver said. Oliver looked down at the piece of paper in his hand.
10 minutes later Matt left and Oliver didn't get a moment to himself. People kept coming into his room asking for pictures and autographs. Then the mayor came in and wanted to make sure Oliver was being well taken care of. Oliver assured him he was. Then Clark walked into the room carrying a bag. "Clark hey" Oliver said waving Clark over.
The mayor walked over to Clark and shook his hand. "You must be really excited that your brother is back in town" the mayor said.
Clark looked between the mayor and Oliver. He smiled and nodded his head. "Yes I definitely am. I don't know what we did without him all that time" Clark said jokingly.
"Exactly. Now that Oliver is back in town and he's going to be fine we have to do something special to celebrate. Are you sure you're being taken care of efficiently" the mayor asked.
"Yes I'm sure I'm being taken care of perfectly and you really don't have to do anything special…" Oliver started to say but the mayor shook his head.
"Nonsense our homecoming hero is back home. We must celebrate. I will let you know everything" the mayor said. Just then his phone rang. He took it out and looked at it. "Excuse me boys. I have to take this" he said leaving the room. Clark walked over to the bed.
"Not that I'm not happy to see you but what are you doing here Clark" Oliver asked.
Clark held up the bag he was holding. "Mom and Dad thought you might like some produce" Clark said handing the bag to Oliver.
Oliver took it. "Thanks bro" he said.
"So I see your adoring fans can't get enough of you" Clark said.
Oliver rolled his eyes. "Don't remind me. I haven't gotten a moment to myself" he said.
"Oh yeah I'm sure everyone loving you must be horrible" Clark said.
"It can get annoying sometimes" Oliver said taking out an apple and taking a bite out of it.
Clark let out a little laugh. "Well I would take that over being a big loser that no one likes" Clark said.
Oliver looked at his brother. "You're not a loser Clark. I mean you are kind of weird and awkward and you do have a tendency to be quite annoying…" Oliver said.
"Is there a point to this" Clark asked interrupting his brother.
"My point is loser is not really on my list of negatives about you" Oliver said.
Clark smiled at him. "Thanks I appreciate that" he said.
"Anytime. That's what I'm here for. Besides being my baby brother has to get you some cool points" Oliver said.
Clark shook his head. "Not really" he said. He held out his fist which Oliver fist bumped. "Kent bros for life" they both said. Clark left the room.
Clark headed over to Luthor Mansion. He was delivering some produce to Lex. One of the security guards led Clark into a room with a model in it. They took the produce from him and told him to wait for Mr. Luthor. Clark was looking at a model of an ancient city. Lex walked into the room. "Save any lives on your way over? You could make a career out of it" Lex said.
Clark looked back at him and smiled. "Just dropping off your produce. Sorry my parents and Oliver gave you a hard time" Clark said.
"I would have arm-wrestled your parents for it. As for Oliver, we have a lot of stuff to work through" Lex said.
"Planning an invasion" Clark asked looking at the model city. He looked over at Lex.
"My father gave it to me when I was 9" Lex said.
"Cool gift" Clark said.
Lex looked up at him. "It wasn't a gift, it was a strategy tool. My father equates business with war" Lex said walking over to Clark.
"The battle of Troy started because two men were in love with the same woman" Lex said picking up one of the figures. "Like you and the quarterback. That's why he strung you up" Lex said.
"Whitney's won the war" Clark said.
"You lost one battle, that's all. Besides, I don't believe Lana is as infatuated as you think" Lex said.
Clark turned to Lex. "He captains the football team. The town treats him like a god kind of like Oliver. Personally I wouldn't go up against Oliver. So that means game over" Clark said.
Lex smiled at him and walked around the table. "Trust me, the quarterback does not have nearly the same amount of charm that Oliver does" Lex said.
Clark let out a little laugh. "Well Oliver will be glad to hear that" he said.
"Don't worry Clark" Lex said walking over to the fireplace. "I've got your trojan horse" he said.
Lex grabbed a lead box off the fireplace. He turned around and opened it revealing Lana's necklace. Clark suddenly started to feel sick. He could feel himself getting dizzy. Lex noticed something was wrong with Clark. "Clark, are you OK" Lex asked.
"Y…Yea I'm fine" Clark said just looking at the necklace. What was it about the necklace that made him so sick? He looked up at Lex and they just looked at each other. Clark's head was spinning. Lex closed the box and Clark was feeling better. Lex looked up at Clark. What just happened? Lex walked up to Clark. "Cool box. What's it made of" Clark asked feeling a lot better.
Lex looked at the box. "Lead. My mother bought it in a Casbah in Morocco. It was made from the armor of St. George…patron saint of Boy Scouts. She gave it to me before she died. I think she was trying to send me a message" Lex said holding out the box.
"I can't take that" Clark said walking away from Lex. He didn't want to risk feeling sick again.
"What is it about Kents and gifts? It's yours. Hand it to Lana, tell her what happened" Lex said walking over to Clark holding out the box. "Once she opens it you'll win her heart. That necklace gives you the power Clark. All you've got to do is use it" Lex said. Clark smiled at him. He took the box from Lex.
"Lex I need your help with picking the flowers for the wedding. I can't decide between roses or tulips" Felicity said walking into the room.
Lex smiled at her. "Whatever you decide is fine. It doesn't matter to me" he said. He gave her a quick kiss.
Felicity looked over at Clark. "Hi Clark. How's Oliver" she asked.
Clark shrugged his shoulders. "Oh you know still Oliver. Everyone can't seem to get enough of him" Clark said.
"Sounds right" Felicity said.
The next day in the high school, Lois was at her locker when Chad walked up to her. "Hey so I know what were going to do for our date" Chad said.
Lois rolled her eyes and closed her locker. "Listen Chad, why don't we just save the both of us the aggravation and torture of going on a date together and we just go our own separate ways" Lois said walking away from him.
Chad ran to catch up with her. "You haven't given me a chance though" he said.
Lois stopped walking and turned around to look at him. "Let me guess you have dinner at some fancy restaurant and a movie planned" Lois said faking a yawn. She patted his shoulder. "Nice try but you'll have to do better then that" she said.
Chad smiled confidently and nodded his head. "I know. That's why I got these" he said pulling out two tickets. Lois gasped and took them from him.
"Two tickets to the monster truck rally" Lois said looking at the tickets. She looked up at Chad. "How did you know I would enjoy this" Lois asked.
"I remember you talking about how you liked monster trucks at the dance. See Lois. I told you to give me a chance" Chad said.
Lois looked impressed. "Maybe there is hope for you yet" she said. They smiled at each other. Just then Lana and Whitney walked up to them. They looked like they had been fighting.
"Hey Whitney, Lana is everything OK" Chad asked.
Lana shook her head. "Did you know" she asked Chad.
Chad looked confused. "Know what" he asked.
Whitney looked over at him. "She knows about the scarecrow thing" he said.
Chad shook his head. "That was just a joke. It wasn't supposed to be serious. What did Kent go crying to you" he asked Lana.
Lois turned to him. "Clark? What does he have to do with this" she asked.
"Well Whitney and Chad here thought it would be a good idea to make Clark the scarecrow for this year" Lana said.
Lois thought for a second. "I remember Clark, Chloe and Pete talking about it. You guys took Clark, stripped him down and strung him up like a scarecrow" Lois said looking between Chad and Whitney. Whitney nodded.
"It was a joke. I didn't realize Kent was going to cry to you about it" Chad said to Lana.
"Actually Clark didn't tell me. It was…" she started to say but Lois threw the tickets at Chad.
"You can go yourself" she said walking away.
Chad ran after her and stepped in front of her. "Come on Lois. You can't actually be mad. It was a joke and it's just Clark" he said.
Lois glared at him. "Well I must have missed the humor in it. Don't worry I'm sure you can find some dumb cheerleader to go out with you" Lois said pushing him out of the way.
"Why do you care so much? It's just Clark Kent. I thought you guys weren't even friends" Chad said.
Lois turned around and walked back to him. "I've known Clark forever and yes he can annoy the hell out of me and I know he may not be considered cool because he's not one of you loser meatheads and actually cares about other things then football and girls but he's a better person then you guys will ever be" she said. She turned and walked away.
She was about to walk down the stairs when Greg stopped her. "Lois hey" he said. Lois stopped and looked at him. "I thought you'd forgotten. I'd been waiting for like an hour" he said. Lois just looked at him confused. "You remember? The English paper" Greg asked.
Realization came to her. "Sorry, Greg, something important came up. Can we do it another time" Lois asked. She went to leave but Greg grabbed her. She turned toward him.
"Are you blowing me off" he asked.
"No, I'm not, I need to see Clark" she said.
"Kent" he asked.
"You'd rather spend time with him? Is he more important than me" Greg asked.
Lois sighed. "Greg, I can't talk about this right now. I have to go" Lois said. She turned and walked down the stairs. Greg watched Lois walk down the stairs and head to Clark.
At the Kent farm, Clark was examining the box in his hand. Why did he feel so sick from Lana's necklace? When he was out in that field the other night he felt like he was going to die. Also when Lex opened it he felt really weak. He never got sick growing up but that necklace made him sick all of a sudden. He sighed and unlatched the box. He opened it and felt weak again. He held out his hand and could see the veins in it pulsing. He could feel it going through his body whatever this feeling was. "Clark" he heard someone call. He closed the box and turned around. He saw Oliver and Felicity standing there. He took a minute to catch his breath. "Are you OK Clark" Oliver asked concerned.
"Yea you don't look too good" Felicity said.
Clark looked at his hand and saw it returning to normal. He was feeling better. Something about the necklace affected him. He faked a smile. "Yea I'm fine. Welcome home" Clark said to his brother.
Oliver smiled at him. "You don't have to worry Clark. I know you missed me and your day just got thousand times better because I'm back home. I know you were just miserable without me here" Oliver said.
Clark rolled his eyes. "Yea you know I had to do your chores and my chores while you were having your little vacation. At least I got a good night sleep and I didn't have to here your snoring all night" Clark said making a snoring sound making fun of Oliver. Felicity laughed.
"I don't sound like that" Oliver said.
Clark nodded. "No you sound more like a tractor that's dying. I can't make that sound" Clark said.
Oliver rolled his eyes. "You know you missed it. Anyway Lois is here to see you" he said.
Clark looked at him shocked. "What" he asked.
"Yea I told her she could wait for you in the loft" Oliver said.
Clark nodded. "OK I guess I should get going" he said. He started to walk past Oliver but Oliver grabbed his arm stopping him.
He leaned in close to him. "Are you sure you're OK" he whispered.
Clark nodded. "I'm fine. I promise. Now I should go see what Lois wants" Clark said. Oliver nodded and let go of his brother. He held out his fist. Clark fist bumped it. "Kent bros for life" they both said. Clark walked away and Oliver and Felicity looked at each other. Felicity knew this family well enough to know that something was definitely wrong with Clark, she just didn't know what it was…yet.
Clark walked up to the loft. He looked over and saw Lois looking out the window. He put the box on a hay bale and put a sheet over it hiding it. He started fixing himself up. He smoothed out his plaid shirt, checked his breath and ran a hand through his hair making sure it wasn't sticking up. He was actually kind of nervous. Why though? It was just Lois. He'd known her most of his life. Oliver was wrong. He didn't like Lois like that. He couldn't. He allowed himself to think for a second what that would look like. Clark and Lois, together as a couple. Honestly though the idea wasn't that bad. Lois would insist it be Lois and Clark though and not the other way around. He smiled at the thought. He finally came back to his senses and shook his head. What was he doing? He couldn't think of Lois like that. He took a deep breath and finished walking up to the loft.
"Lois" he said once he got up there.
Lois turned around and looked at him. "Oliver said I could wait up here. I hope you don't mind. This is an amazing place" Lois said.
"My dad built it. He calls it my "fortress of solitude" Clark said.
Lois smiled at that. She pointed at the telescope. "What is this used for? So that you could spy on the neighbors. There's one particular neighbor I'm sure you would like to spy on" Lois said.
Clark just rolled his eyes. "It's to look up at the stars" Clark said.
"I didn't know you were so into astronomy" Lois said.
"It's kind of a hobby" Clark said.
Lois scoffed. "Well, Smallville, I prefer to focus on what's here on earth and not in the stars" she said.
Clark shrugged his shoulders. "I think you could find interesting things up in the sky if you just look" he said not realizing he moved closer to her.
They just stared at each other for a moment neither understanding what they were both feeling in that moment. Just then, Lois looked into the telescope. She smiled. "Just as I thought you can see Lana's house from here" she said.
"What? Can you? Really" Clark asked nervously trying to play it off like he didn't know.
He moved the telescope away from Lois. She looked up at him and laughed. "Don't worry, Smallville, your secret is safe with me" she said.
"Anyway, not to be rude or anything, but you've never come up here just to talk to me" Clark said changing the subject.
Lois nodded. "You wanted to know why I'm here now" Lois said.
Clark nodded. "Yes I do" he said.
"I found out about what Chad and Whitney did to you. The whole scarecrow thing. I came to apologize and make sure you're OK" Lois said.
"It's not your fault. Forget about it" Clark said.
"I can't. They had no right to do that. They're kind of asses for that. You didn't deserve that" Lois said.
"You're not the one who should be apologizing" Clark said.
Lois walked closer to Clark. "I know. Chad, Whitney and the rest of the football players who did that to you should be. I didn't come here to defend any of them, I came here to see you" Lois said.
"Who told you" Clark asked.
"Lana. Her and Whitney were fighting about it when they approached me and Chad" Lois said. Lana was upset about what happened. Clark smiled at that. "I just felt like I should make sure you were OK. Are you" Lois asked.
Clark nodded. "I'm fine" he said.
"I'm glad I found out, Smallville. Saved me from having to go out with that douche. I got lucky" Lois said. Clark looked at Lois curious now. At least her and Chad Reed weren't going to be anything.
"Well at least you know now. What are you going to do" Clark asked.
Lois shrugged her shoulders. "I'm not sure. He seems to be really interested and part of me thinks maybe I should give him a chance" she said. Clark got really upset hearing that. "He got us tickets to a monster truck rally" Lois said.
Damn it. Lois loves monster truck rally's to see the trucks get destroyed. Chad's good, Clark thought. "Are you going to go" Clark asked hopeful the answer would be no.
"Probably not especially after what he did to you" Lois said. They just stared at each other again. There was something very strong between them that scared them.
"You know, Smallville, I wouldn't give up on Lana just yet" Lois said.
Clark let out a little laugh. "She's with Whitney. Who would chose someone like me over the captain of the football team" Clark asked.
"I would" Lois blurted out without thinking. Clark looked at her surprised. "Any girl would be lucky to end up with someone like you, Clark" Lois said trying to cover up for her mistake. They smiled at each other.
Clark shook his head. "Did I hear that right? Did Lois Lane actually give someone who wasn't herself a compliment especially me of all people" he asked.
Lois laughed a little. "Don't tell anyone. I have a rep to protect" Lois said.
Clark nodded. "Don't worry, you're secret is safe with me" he said. Once again, they just stared at each other not realizing how close they had gotten. They were inches from each other's faces.
Lois backed away. "I better get going" she said. She punched his arm and started to walk toward the stairs.
Clark stood there watching her leave. "Lois" he called out. She turned around. "Thanks for coming. It means a lot" he said.
Lois smiled at him. "I'm glad you're OK Clark and I meant what I said. Anyone would be lucky to end up with you. Don't count yourself out" she said. He smiled at her as she walked down the stairs. She turned around and gave him one last look and then she was gone. Clark just stood there thinking. What just happened? Did him and Lois just have a…moment. Maybe Oliver did have a point about him and Lois.
Over at the house, Felicity was on the porch on the phone with Lex. Oliver was doing some chores around the farm and he continued looking over at Felicity. He was just parking the plow and was about to move two hay bales into the barn but he was distracted looking over at Felicity. "Those hay bales aren't going to move themselves" he heard someone say.
He jumped a little and looked over seeing his father approaching him. "Sorry dad. I got…distracted" he said looking over at Felicity.
Jonathan smiled at his son. "I can see that. Have you two talked about what happened" Jonathan asked.
Oliver shook his head. "There's not much to talk about. I was a dick. End of story" he said.
Jonathan shook his head. Oliver could be so stubborn sometimes. He reminded him a lot of Robert in that way. He put a comforting hand on his sons shoulder. "If you want your old man's advice, you two should talk" Jonathan said.
Oliver looked at his father shocked. "She's engaged dad" Oliver said.
Jonathan nodded. "That doesn't mean you guys can't talk about what happened. I'm not saying to step on anyone's toes Oliver. All I'm saying is have a conversation with each other. You never know. She might feel the same way" Jonathan said.
"What if she does? She's going to be walking down the aisle soon" Oliver said.
"Which is exactly why you two should have a conversation before she walks down the aisle and she regrets anything. You two both deserve that and as much as I may not be his biggest fan so does Lex. They shouldn't get married if there are any questions or lingering feelings" Jonathan said.
Just then, Felicity walked up to them. "That was Lex. He has to leave town for the night so that means I'm on my own for dinner tonight" she said.
"You can eat with us if you want" Jonathan said. Oliver looked over at his father. What was he doing?
Felicity shook her head. "I don't want to intrude or anything" she said.
"Nonsense. Your welcome here anytime Felicity. Martha will be so excited. Won't she Oliver" Jonathan asked.
Oliver turned to Felicity and smiled at her. "Of course she will. Like my dad said. You're welcome here anytime" Oliver said.
Felicity smiled at them. "Thank you guys. I guess I will stay for dinner" she said.
"Perfect. I'll let Martha know" Jonathan said walking away. When he was behind Felicity he motioned for his son to talk to her. Oliver just rolled his eyes.
Oliver and Felicity never talked about what happened between them and Oliver knew his father was right they needed to talk. Oliver just didn't want to over step his boundaries with Felicity. He just got her back in his life and he didn't want to lose her again. As night fell, they finished all finished dinner and Felicity helped Martha clean up. Martha told her it was fine but Felicity insisted. Oliver went out to the barn to help his father with putting blades on the mower. Felicity walked into the barn. Oliver walked over to her. "I think I'm going to go. It's getting late" she said.
Oliver nodded. "Just let me finish helping my dad and I'll walk you to your car. It's late and I don't want you walking out there by yourself" he said.
"OK" she said nodding. Oliver went back to helping his father and Jonathan raised an eyebrow at him. Oliver shook his head and rolled his eyes.
"Do you guys need help" Clark asked from the balcony of the loft.
"Best idea I've heard all night" Jonathan said.
"Yea Clark stop being lazy and come help us" Oliver said.
Clark smiled. "What would you do without me" he asked.
"I don't know, get this mower done slower" Oliver said. Clark laughed to himself and started to walk to the stairs. He stopped when he heard hissing. He looked around. All of a sudden Greg jumped out onto a hay bale. He jumped onto Clark who fell to the floor. Clark pushed him off himself and Greg went up to the rafters. Oliver and Jonathan got up. Felicity looked over at them.
"Clark" Jonathan called out. He ran up the stairs with Oliver and then Felicity following. "Hey Clark. What happened? Are you all right" Jonathan asked as he reached Clark. Clark was getting up.
"Any excuse to get out of work, right Clark" Oliver said playfully tapping Clark's shoulder.
Clark ignored him and looked up at the rafters. "There's someone in the rafters" Clark said. They all started to look around.
"The rafters" Felicity asked looking up. Jonathan took a flashlight out of his pocket. He motioned to his two sons to get flashlights. They both got flashlights. Jonathan turned it on and started looking around. Clark did the same.
Oliver looked at Felicity. "Stay here" he said. Jonathan went to check one side, Clark went to check another and Oliver checked another. They slowly walked around the barn looking for whoever it was that attacked Clark. Felicity just stood there. She was getting a bad feeling about all of this. She turned around and before she knew what happened Greg jumped out at her. She screamed. She hit into one of the poles and was knocked out. Greg threw her over the side breaking the railing. Oliver turned and saw her falling. "Felicity" he yelled out. Clark super sped over and jumped over the railing and saw that Felicity was about to hit the blades. Clark ran in front of her catching her falling into the blades himself. Oliver and Jonathan ran down. Felicity was still unconscious. Clark gently put her on the floor. The three of them looked at the blades which were now destroyed.
"What in the hell just happened" Jonathan asked. They all looked around. No one really knew how to answer that question. Felicity started to stir.
Oliver ran over to her. "Felicity" he said.
Felicity opened her eyes. "Oliver, what happened" she asked.
"That is a very good question" Oliver said turning to Clark and his father. They looked just as worried as he did. How the hell were they going to explain this when they didn't even know what happened themselves?
