Felicity was sitting on a hay bale trying to process what had just happened. Clark Oliver and Jonathan all just looked at each other not knowing what to say. Martha walked up to Felicity with a glass of water. "Here you go honey" she said handing Felicity the glass.

Felicity smiled at her. "Thanks" she said taking a sip.

"Are you sure you're OK" Martha asked.

Felicity nodded. "I never saw anybody move like that" she said.

"Did you get a look at his face" Jonathan asked.

Felicity shook her head. "He came right off the ceiling at me. It's almost as if he wasn't…human" Felicity said.

The Kents all looked at each other. Oliver looked over at Felicity. He let out a nervous laugh. "Yea well whatever it was you should probably be getting home" he said walking over to Felicity and helping her up.

She nodded. "Bye Mr. and Mrs. Kent. Bye Clark" she said.

"Bye" they all said.

Oliver walked Felicity to her car. "Do you want me to drive you home" he asked.

Felicity shook her head. "Thank you but I'll be OK" she said.

"Are you sure? You just went through a lot" he asked.

Felicity nodded. "I'm sure" she said.

"Call me when you get home. I want to make sure you're safe" Oliver said.

Felicity smiled at him. "I will" she said. She looked off into the distance deep in thought.

Oliver could tell this whole situation was bothering her. "Are you OK" Oliver asked.

Felicity looked back at Oliver. "Yea it's just…" she started to say but stopped herself.

"Just what" Oliver asked.

Felicity shrugged her shoulders. "I've always known there was something weird about this town and this just confirms what I thought about that night" she said.

Oliver shook his head. "Felicity don't" he said.

"Why not? This confirms someone or something with special powers saved us" she said.

Oliver sighed. "OK what if you're right? What if we were saved by someone or something with special powers? What does that matter" he asked.

Felicity looked at him shocked. "It matters because they saved our lives. If we can find them then…" Felicity started but Oliver interrupted her.

"Then what? Do we throw them a party? Oh no wait we'll have a parade for them" Oliver said sarcastically.

Felicity shook her head. "Why are you being so difficult about this" she asked.

"Maybe they don't want to be found. Maybe they just want to stay hidden" Oliver said.

"They could be doing so much good. Why wouldn't they want to be found" she asked.

"Maybe if they were found out and everyone knew about them it would put them and the people they love in danger" Oliver said.

Felicity looked at him curiously. "Oliver, if you knew something about who or what saved us that night you would tell me wouldn't you" she asked.

"Of course I would. I just…I just don't want anything to happen to you because you're looking for this mystery savior" he said. Without realizing, he started to stroke her face. "I still care about you" he said.

She looked at his hand and he realized what he was doing and pulled his hand back. "Oliver, we can't…" she started to say.

"I know. You're with Lex know and I would never want to screw that up but I can't help how I feel. I love you. I was too much of an idiot to say it back then but yea I love you. I don't expect anything to come out of this" Oliver said. They just stared at each other neither knowing what to say or do.

"I got to go" she said. She got in her car and drove off leaving Oliver standing there wondering if he just ruined everything.

Oliver walked back into the barn. "How's Felicity" Martha asked.

Oliver shrugged his shoulders. "Fine I guess. Now she has even more questions about everything" he said.

"Well that will be tomorrow's problem. Right now we have to figure out what attacked her" Jonathan said.

"I saw his face. I think it was Greg Arkin" Clark said.

Oliver looked over at his brother. "I met him at the farmer's market" he said.

"You did" Martha asked.

Oliver nodded. "Then I got into that crash with my car" Oliver said.

"You don't think Greg Arkin could have done it do you" Martha asked.

Oliver shrugged his shoulders. "If he was the one who attacked Felicity then I think it's possible" Oliver said.

Martha turned to Clark. "You and Pete used to hang out with him in grade school" Martha said.

"Why would he want to hurt either one of you" Jonathan asked his sons.

"I don't know" Clark said.

"Do you still talk to him Clark" Oliver asked.

"I pass him in the halls but people change" Clark said.

"I remember his mother used to keep him on a short leash but I can't believe he'd hurt a fly" Martha said.

"Maybe that's because he was too busy collecting them and every other bug he could get his hands on" Clark said.

Jonathan and Oliver started looking around the barn. "Clark, kids don't just leap off the ceiling and attack people" Jonathan said.

"Yea not even in Smallville" Oliver said.

Clark turned on the flashlight he was holding and shined it at the ceiling. "How do you explain that" he asked. They all looked up and saw footprints on the ceiling.

Jonathan shook his head. "I don't know" he said.

"That would definitely make the wall of weird wouldn't it Clark" Oliver said to his brother. Clark nodded.

"Seems kind of out there" Jonathan said.

Martha turned to him. "This, coming from the man who's been hiding a spaceship for 12 years" Martha said walking away.

Jonathan thought about that for a moment. He nodded and walked over to his two sons. "It's not that I don't want to believe you Clark, It's just…I'm having trouble getting my head around this one" he said.

"It's definitely not something you see everyday" Oliver said.

"Do you guys ever wonder why all these weird things happen in Smallville" Clark said.

Oliver shrugged his shoulders. "It's a weird town" he said.

"Every town has it's share of tall tales" Jonathan said.

Clark turned off the flashlight. "Except here they're all true" he said. Jonathan and Oliver turned to Clark. "Chloe and Felicity showed me and Oliver this wall covered with all these articles they collected about all the weird stuff that's happened in Smallville since the meteor shower" Clark said sitting down on a step. "It's all my fault" Clark said.

Oliver sighed and walked over to his brother. "Wow self centered much Clark" he joked sitting down next to Clark. Both Clark and their father looked at him. "Clark it's not your fault. Not everything that happens in this town is because of you. You had no control over where your spaceship landed or what it would bring with it" he said.

"Besides, if you're talking about 50-pound tomatoes and two-headed calves then I got a better explanation for you: Luthor Corp. I mean god only knows what that fertilizer plants been pumping out over the last 12 years" Jonathan said.

Oliver nodded. "Yea nothing good can come from the Luthor's being in Smallville" Oliver said.

"Luthor Corp didn't kill Lana's parents" Clark said.

"Um Clark neither did you. You were just a cute little kid. Speaking of, I don't know what happened because now all of that went away and you look like this" Oliver said laughing. Jonathan laughed a little too.

Clark playfully pushed his brother. "Well I don't know what happened to you. You grew up and we all unfortunately have to look at your face which trust me isn't a pretty sight" Clark said.

Oliver playfully pushed him back. "Well according to everyone in this town you would be wrong" Oliver said.

Jonathan shook his head. Any chance his boys had to get a dig in at each other they would take but at least Clark was smiling which Oliver was good at making sure happened. "Anyway, Clark you can't blame yourself for something you had no control over" Jonathan said.

"I know-I still feel responsible" Clark said.

Jonathan walked over to Clark and rubbed his head. He sat down between his two sons. "What happened to Lana's parents was a terrible tragedy but no matter how many extraordinary gifts you have, you will never be able to change that" Jonathan said.

Oliver nodded. "Dad's right. It's just something that happened. You shouldn't blame yourself Clark" he said.

"How do I make this feeling go away" Clark asked.

"You can't but that's what makes you human" Jonathan said.

"Yea besides Clark at least you didn't just ruin your relationship with the girl you love all because you chose the wrong time to say the one thing you should said a long time ago" Oliver said.

Clark and Jonathan looked over at him. "What happened" Jonathan asked.

Oliver shrugged his shoulders. "I took your advice dad but of course it was at the wrong time. I told her that I love her and I always have" Oliver said.

"What did she say" Clark asked.

Oliver shook his head. "Not much. She just got in her car and drove away. Once again, I'm the idiot who ruined everything" he said.

Jonathan grabbed his sons shoulder. "You two will work it out. Just give Felicity some time" he said.

Oliver looked at his father. "You think" he asked.

Jonathan smiled and nodded. "You two always do" he said.

The next morning, Clark waited for Chloe as she walked into the school. "Chloe" he called as he saw her passing.

"Hi" Chloe said. They started walking together in the hallway.

"Is Greg Arkin still the science reporter for the torch" Clark asked.

"A reporter is someone who actually turns in articles. Greg hasn't been to the office for a week" Chloe answered.

"I've gottta find him" Clark said.

"Why the sudden interest? You coming out of the entomology closet" Chloe asked.

They stopped walking. Clark smiled at her. "It's nothing. I'll catch up with you later" Clark said. He started to walk away.

"I hate it when you do that" Chloe said.

Clark stopped walking and turned around. "Do what" Clark asked.

"Shut me out. One minute you're here, and the next you're gone" Chloe said. Clark looked at her curiously. "Are you outgrowing me as a friend" Chloe asked.

Clark walked back over to Chloe. "I could never outgrow you. Other than vertically" Clark said smiling at her. They both let out laughs.

Chloe smiled at him. "It's amazing how far that Kent charm will get you. You must have been taking lessons from Oliver" Chloe said.

Clark shook his head. "Trust me the Kent charm is on another level with Oliver. I could never match it" Clark said.

"You don't do so bad yourself" Chloe said. They smiled at each other. "Now what's up with Greg" Chloe asked.

Clark and Chloe walked over to the library as the torch office was being worked on so it was closed off for now. Clark sat down at one of the computers and started looking up information on Greg. Chloe looked through the filing cabinet until she found what she was looking for. "These Amazonian tribesmen took on traits of the bugs that bit them but nothing as extreme as Greg's. Did you have any luck" Chloe asked.

"Only that Greg didn't move to Smallville until after the meteor shower, so he couldn't have been exposed to the blast" Clark said.

"Yea but his bugs could have been" Chloe said. Clark laughed skeptically. "Think about it Clark. Pieces of that meteor are still buried all over Smallville. The whole habitat's infected" Chloe said. Clark nodded. "So when boy catches bugs and bugs bite boy, you end up with bug boy" Chloe said.

Clark grabbed papers from the desk. "Chloe you can't even walk out your door in the summer time without being bitten by a mosquito, so why don't we have a whole town of bug people" Clark asked getting up.

"You need a certain level of toxins to cause a mutation. Those Amazonian tribesman were all attacked by swarms" Chloe said walking over to Clark and leaning on the desk.

"Greg did keep tanks of bugs in his room. Maybe they got sick of the view and revolted" Clark said looking over at Chloe who was looking through a book.

"This says bugs have a short life cycle. So if he really has gone Kafka, let's hope he isn't in the mating phase" Chloe said.

Clark, Chloe and Pete headed over to Greg's house. Chloe looked through the window. She didn't see any one. "Doesn't look like anyone's home" she said.

Pete and Clark looked through the window with Chloe. Pete put his hands up to the glass and looked through the window trying to see better. "It's a mess. Remember what a neat freak his mom was" Pete asked Clark.

"Yeah. Once I forgot to take off my shoes and she yelled at me" Clark said walking over to a banister and leaning against it.

"Ending the friendship" Chloe asked walking over to him.

"His parents got divorced, and he stopped calling" Clark said.

Pete walked over. "Which sucked. He had a killer tree fort" he said.

"It was OK" Clark said getting up and walking away.

"Clark never liked it. He used to get dizzy" Pete said.

"How come" Chloe asked.

"He was afraid of heights" Pete said.

Clark turned around. "It wasn't structurally sound" Clark said.

Chloe walked over to the window. She opened it. "You guys, come here" she said and Clark and Pete walked over they all climbed in through the window.

Clark and Pete made into the bathroom and saw Greg's shredded skin on the floor of the shower. "Oh man that's disgusting" Pete said as he took pictures of it. "What is it" Pete asked.

"I think it's skin. Must be molting" Clark said. Steam was coming from the bathroom.

"You guys better come in here" Chloe called from the other room. Clark and Pete ran into the room Chloe was in. "Guys" she called out as they arrived. They looked around and saw webbing all around the room. Clark saw something that made him stop.

"Looks like Greg has a little bit of a crush" Pete said.

"I think Greg's found his mate" Chloe said worriedly turning to Clark. There were pictures of Lois all over the wall. Clark noticed a cocoon of webbing on the wall in the corner of the room. He walked over to it. Chloe and Pete watched as Clark reached up and peeled back the layers of cocooning. Out fell the head of Greg's mother. She was dead. They all jumped back in surprise. "Clark" Chloe said worriedly.

"Lois!" he said and ran out of the room.

Over at Chloe's house, Lois was sitting in the Sullivan's backyard on a bench thinking about everything when someone grabbed her from behind. She turned around and punched the person in the face. She saw it was Chad. "Chad? Here's a lesson for you never sneak up on a girl who grew up on an army base" she said.

Chad rubbed his nose. "I'll have to remember that" he said. He looked at her seriously. "Mr. Sullivan said you should be out here" he said.

She shook her head. "Sorry about the nose" she said.

"I deserve it for many reasons" he said. "I came here for a specific reason though. Lois, Whitney saw Clark and Lana outside her house one night and he freaked out. He decided we should make him the scarecrow. I shouldn't have been apart of it, I know that now" Chad said.

Hearing that Clark and Lana were outside her house at night made Lois feel a weird way. It made her feel jealous which was weird because she didn't know why. Her and Clark weren't together. Why should she care that he talked to Lana outside her house one night? "What does that matter" Lois asked.

"I just wanted you to know why we did it. It was stupid" Chad said. Lois just shook her head. "I would do anything to take that back" Chad said.

There was a slithering noise behind Chad. "It's too late Chad" Greg said behind him. Lois and Chad turned to look at him. "She's mine now" Greg said.

"Greg" Lois asked surprised to see him.

Chad walked over to Greg. "Stay away from her" he said. Greg grabbed Chad with one arm and threw him into the side of the house. He fell to the floor unconscious.

"Greg what the hell do you think you're doing" Lois asked. Greg started to walk over to her.

"It's time" he said.

"Time for what" Lois asked.

"For us" he said as he reached her.

"I don't think so" Lois said punching him in the face.

Greg looked at her with anger in his eyes. He grabbed her. Lois kneed him in the balls and he yelled out in pain. She ran to the house but Greg jumped in front of her before she could get in. "You shouldn't have done that" he said. Lois stared at him in shock. What the hell was he and how did he just do that? How the hell was she going to get out of this one?
