Chad came to and lifted his head. "Lois" he heard someone call out. Clark ran into the backyard. "Lois" Clark called out again.
Chad picked himself up off the floor. "Greg's got her" Chad said.
Clark turned around and saw Greg coming up to him. "What happened" Clark asked.
"Greg threw me against the wall like it was nothing and grabbed Lois. He was so strong" Chad said.
"Where did he go" Clark asked.
"He headed off into the woods" Chad said looking over at the woods.
"I think I know where he's going" Clark said walking past Chad.
"Great I'll drive" Chad said following after Clark. They reached the front of the Sullivan house.
"You know the old Creekside foundry" Clark asked Chad.
"The one that got hit with the meteor shower" Chad asked as they ran to his car.
"Follow the dirt track. About 100 yards back there's a tree fort in the woods" Clark said.
"How do you know he's there" Chad asked getting into his car.
"We used to collect bugs there when we were kids" Clark explained.
Chad started his car. "Look Kent, I want to apologize…" Chad said turning to the passenger side window where Clark was supposed to be standing but he was gone.
Clark supersped through the cornfields. He had to save Lois. He stopped when he got to where the tree fort was. He looked behind him and saw it up in a tree. He supersped up into the fort. He saw Lois unconscious in a cocoon of webbing. Clark walked over to her. "Get away from her" Greg said.
Clark looked over and saw Greg sitting in the corner watching Lois. "Greg I know what's happened to you" Clark said.
"I've been freed" Greg said.
"No, you're a slave to your instincts" Clark said.
"I have no rules, Clark" Greg said. He got up and walked closer to Clark. "I eat what I want, I go where I want, and I take what I want" Greg said.
"You're not taking her" Clark said.
"Then try and stop me" Greg said.
"I've changed too" Clark said. Greg ran at Clark and pushed him into the wall of the fort and they both fell out. Clark landed on his back on the ground. He got up and looked around for Greg. He had to be here somewhere. He heard someone running and turned around and saw Greg jump a fence. Greg ran further away and Clark followed him.
Clark walked into an old warehouse. He immediately started to feel uneasy. He walked deeper into the warehouse. On the ground of the warehouse meteor rocks. Clark continued walking even though he was feeling sick. He looked around for Greg. He walked up a couple stairs then leaned against a beam for support. He started to walk but heard a slithering noise somewhere around him. Greg appeared behind him. Clark was having a hard time still standing. Greg leaned down and grabbed a large pipe. He hit Clark with it which sent Clark flying across the warehouse. He landed on a large rock. Greg threw the pipe on the floor. He started to walk over to Clark. Clark was struggling. He looked down at his hand. He saw the veins in his hand pulsing. "You haven't changed at all Clark. You still get sick around this place just like when we were kids" Greg called out.
Clark pulled his hand back and saw a meteor rock across from him. That's why he felt so sick. "Hey Clark, did you know the buffalo ant could lift 30 times its own body weight" Greg asked walking over to picked up Clark and threw him across the warehouse like he was a ragdoll. Greg smiled and started jumping across the warehouse. Clark started to pull himself up. "Clark. Clark where are you? Come on out" Greg called out. Clark pulled himself behind a concrete shell. "I just want to play" Greg called out. Once again Greg jumped to another end of the warehouse. He ran around the warehouse looking for Clark. Clark looked at his hand and noticed it returned to normal. "Clark. COME OUT" Greg yelled.
"It's lined with lead" Clark said.
Greg jumped up to a beam above him. He looked around. Clark sat behind the concrete shell. Greg jumped down off the beam. "Give it up Clark. You can't fight natural law. Only the strong survive" Greg said walking around. Clark moved from his spot behind the concrete shell. Greg looked around but Clark appeared behind him. Greg turned around and grabbed Clark. Clark grabbed him back. "Did you really think you could hide from me" Greg asked. Clark slammed against a concrete slab splitting it in half. He threw Greg across the warehouse. He landed against a support beam. Greg grabbed onto a chain over head and accidently pulled a lever.
"Greg watch out" Clark called as a large piece of construction equipment landed on him. Clark ran up to where Greg was. He looked down and saw thousands of bugs come out from behind the construction equipment. Clark supersped away.
Back at the fort, Chad walked up to the cocoon of webbing which held Lois's unconscious body. He pulled back the webbing from her body. Chad stroked his hand through her hair. Lois woke up. "Hey" he said. Lois looked around trying to get her senses back of where she was. "It's OK, It's OK. It's me" Chad said.
Lois looked up at him. "Chad" she said.
"You're safe. Hey you're safe. Come on" Chad said wrapping his arms around her. She wrapped her arms around him. "Come on" he said pulling more webbing off her.
Clark ran back to the fort and saw Lois and Chad walking to Chad's car. He saw them stop and hug each other. Clark watched them sadly as they finished walking to Chad's car. Clark sighed. He guess he would never find out if whatever it was that was going on between them was real or not. He watched as Chad drove away and supersped away himself.
Over at the Luthor mansion, Lex was sitting at his desk when one of his security team members walked in. "Mr. Luthor, Mr. Kent is here to see you" the security guard said.
Lex nodded. "Send him in" he said to his security guard. He looked down at the papers on his desk and started signing them. He heard someone walk into the room. "So what can I do for you Cla…" Lex started to say but stopped when he saw who was standing in front of him. It wasn't Clark but instead it was the other Kent sibling. "Oliver? What are you doing here" Lex asked.
Oliver took a deep breath. "I came here to apologize" he said.
Lex looked at him shocked. "Apologize for what" he asked.
"I haven't been very welcoming since you came to Smallville and I've been holding what happened to us in the past against you and that's not fair to you honestly so I wanted to say sorry" Oliver said.
Lex stood up and walked over to Oliver. He held out his hand which Oliver shook. "I could have handled myself better. I'm sorry for what happened between us" he said.
Oliver shook his head. "That's all in the past. Why don't we start over" he said.
Lex nodded. "I'd like that" he said.
"Also I realize I never congratulated you on your engagement so congratulations" Oliver said.
Lex smiled at him. "Thank you. That means a lot honestly. Listen Oliver, I know you and Felicity have history and…" he said but Oliver shook his head.
"You don't have to worry about me. What me and Felicity had was in the past. We've both moved on" Oliver said.
"That's good to hear. I wouldn't want any past ex's interrupting my wedding" Lex said.
Oliver gave him a little smile. "I do have to ask you a favor" Oliver said.
"OK" Lex said.
"Take care of her. I may not be with Felicity anymore but I still care about her" Oliver said.
Lex smiled and nodded. "You have my word" he said holding out his hand again which Oliver shook again.
"Oliver" they heard Felicity call. They turned around and saw Felicity standing in the doorway.
Lex walked over to Felicity and gave her a quick kiss. "Babe, Oliver came here to congratulate us on our engagement" Lex said.
Felicity looked at Oliver shocked. "You did" she said.
Oliver could swear that she sounded a little heartbroken. He nodded and smiled at her. "Yea I'm happy for you guys. You are great together and should definitely be together" he said. Oliver and Felicity just looked at each other what Oliver said to her the other night still hanging between them. Oliver looked over at Lex. "I should get going. Congratulations once again" he said not looking at Felicity.
Lex nodded. "Come by anytime" he said. Oliver nodded and left the office.
That night, Clark was standing in the loft thinking. "Hey" Clark heard from behind him. He turned around and saw Oliver walking up to the loft.
Clark smiled at his brother. Oliver walked over to him. "I thought you had to get up early to head out to Metropolis to meet up with Matt" Clark said.
Oliver nodded. "I do. I just thought I'd see how you were doing" Oliver said.
Clark nodded. "I'm fine. I guess. I can't believe your father's bodyguard just showed up while you were in the hospital" he said.
Oliver let out a little laugh. "I know. It's crazy. Don't get me wrong, I love mom and dad but a part of me always wondered about my biological parents and now I'm finally going to get to know something about them" he said. He was leaving out the part about trying to take over as the Green Arrow to his parents and Clark. He told them about Matt visiting him in the hospital but didn't say anything to them about the Green Arrow part of it. He knew they would all freak out.
Clark scoffed. "At least you get answers about your parents. All I know about mine is that there from some far off planet and I'm an alien freak" he said.
Oliver put an arm around Clark's shoulder. "You're an alien freak with a cool, attractive, athletic big brother. Not everyone is lucky enough to have me as their big brother" Oliver said.
Clark rolled his eyes and pulled Oliver's arm off him. "Lucky me" he said sarcastically.
Oliver looked over at Clark. "So I heard about you saving Lois today" Oliver said.
Clark nodded. "Yea but she thinks it was "Chad" who saved her" Clark said the distain in his voice for Chad obvious.
Oliver smiled. "So are you going to tell her that it was you" Oliver asked.
Clark shook his head. "Probably not. That'll just bring up more questions. I'm already questioning a lot about me and Lois as is" he said.
Oliver laughed. "Let me guess, your finally seeing what everyone else is seeing" Oliver said.
Clark nodded. He lightly pushed Oliver. "It's all your fault by the way" Clark said.
"My fault" Oliver said.
"You're the one who put all these thoughts about Lois in my head. Now I can't stop thinking about her" Clark said.
Oliver shook his head. "I just pointed out the obvious. Your finally opening up your eyes to see what's always been right in front of you" Oliver said.
Clark just shook his head. "Well it doesn't matter because I think she's with Chad now anyway" Clark said.
Oliver sighed and patted Clark's shoulder. "I get it. The woman I loved since high school is marrying someone else and me being the mature adult I am told them I support them being together" Oliver said.
Clark looked at his brother shocked. "You did"
Oliver nodded. "Looks like we both are having girl troubles at the moment" he said.
"Makes you wonder how mom and dad made it work all these years huh" Clark asked.
Oliver nodded again. "They definitely are an anomaly" Oliver said. He yawned. "I'm going to head to bed" Oliver said.
Clark nodded. "Good night" Clark said. Oliver held out his fist. Clark fist bumped it. "Kent bros for life" they both said and Oliver left the loft. Clark looked out at Lana's house. He turned and looked over to where he was keeping her necklace thinking about what Lex said to him. He looked back at Lana's house. He walked over and pulled back the sheet and grabbed the box that held the necklace. He looked at it and made his decision. He walked over to Lana's house. He looked around then walked up to her front door. He took a second to take a deep breath and opened the box. He started to feel sick. His hands started pulsing as he picked up the necklace. He went to place on the handle.
"Whitney" he heard Lana call out from inside. He looked up at the door. He supersped away. "Whitney is that you" Lana asked as she came outside. Clark watched from the road as Lana looked around. She turned around and saw her necklace hanging on the door handle. She smiled and took it off the door handle. She looked at it happy to finally have it back. She looked behind her and smiled. She walked back inside the house. Clark sighed sadly. He started walking down the road. Just then a car beeped at him. The car pulled up to him and stopped. They rolled down the window.
Lois smiled at him. "Come on Smallville get in. It's the Kent, Lane, Sullivan movie night. Chloe's picking the movie" Lois said. This was something the three of them would do since they were younger. They would get together once a month and watch a movie together. Clark smiled and got in the passenger side. "Chloe is waiting for us at her house. I hope she didn't pick some cheesy romance movie again" Lois said as she started to drive. Clark let out a little laugh. He looked over at her. "Lois" he said.
"Yea" she asked.
"I'm glad you're here" he said.
Lois looked at him confused. "Well I had to pick you up Smallville. Chloe's at home getting everything ready and…" Lois said but Clark shook his head.
"No. I mean I'm glad you're in my life" Clark said. Lois turned to him and they just looked at each other. Clark smiled at her and she smiled back. He meant it. He was glad Lois was in his life no matter what that looked like.
