Hannah (Miss Milita) [Protectorate headquarters]

Hannah walked into the meeting room with a smile on her face. Not that I'd be visible considering her mask but she'd confidently say that she had mastered the art of smiling with her eyes at this point.

The meeting room was mostly empty at this point. She was pretty much the only one, along with armsmaster and director Piggot, inside the room. Assault...being assault probably was going to make both himself and Battery late to the meeting.

Velocity was likely going to be here any second though. Along with Dauntless.

Giving a respectful nod to the director and the valued tinker she sat down on her chair. Her arms crossed as she wondered what this sudden meeting was going to be about. Her theory? Most likely a new parahuman. A fresh trigger.

She could be wrong, of course, but that seems to be the most likely option.

She closed her eyes, letting out a deep breath as the heroes started to pour into the meeting room. Seeing this director Piggot loudly cleared her throat. Standing up from her chair with her arms behind her back.

"Good, it seems everyone's here," the director voice nasal voice echoed through the room. "I've called this sudden meeting to discuss a new problem or asset, depending on how we go about it. that has arisen." Director Piggot glanced at the armsmaster. Which he took as his cue.

Fiddling with his remote the giant TV screen turned on. Showing a recording from one of the interviewing rooms that was situated inside of the building. Inside the room was the armsmaster along with his lie-detecting device. The person Sitting across from him made her blink owlishly to make sure that she wasn't seeing things.

A wolf whistle sounded out from the room as Assault leaned forward "damn! You think this guy is willing to trade costumes?" He said, a grin most likely on his face behind the mask, "cause I can't lie. I don't think any of us can beat that level of style"

Armsmaster gave him a blank look like always. "You'd likely have to kill him to do that," he said suddenly, the mood dropping. "What you're looking at is case 53. He goes by Clark," he explained.

Case 53 was an interesting yet tragic group of individuals. Nobody knew where they came from but they appeared all around the world along with triggers.

Case 53 had no memories of who they were. Their bodies were usually changed into a grotesque mutation, with only some retaining a small amount of their human looks.

"Wait so is that armor suit his Body?" Velocity asked.

"Yes, although we haven't gotten along with power testing, it is confirmed that it is his body." Armsmaster answered, "Not only that but the sword he carries with him is intrinsically connected with him." He said with a frown.

"Connected with him? Elaborate" Dauntless said crossing his arms

Armsmaster switched the pictures on the screen. Showing the lump of metal that could barely even be called a broad sword so a brute rating is likely a must.

"The sword is sentient. Any attempts at anyone other than him using it will backfire as it will try and kill the person using it," he drawled out.

A sentient sword? What?

"Wait so this thing has its own will? Like a soul? Or is it more like an ai?" Battery asked. "Cause there's a clear difference between the two," She pointed out.

"Like I said I haven't had the time for power testing yet and his sword doesn't exactly allow me to poke at it" armsmasters voice dripped with annoyance at the thought " But from what I've seen it seemed to be more in line with having a soul rather then a complicated ai I watched Clark even feeding it some of the food we offered him He's able to communicate with it. Even if only through intentions"

Hannah blinked at that. A sentient weapon was new. And while not...completely unheard of, it was still rare enough to raise enough eyebrows inside the room. "Right, so we've established that his weapon is special. But that's not what we're here to discuss right?" She asked.

Armsmaster nodded as his eyes turned towards her.

Oh no...

"Miss Militia. We're debating on putting him together with the wards" he said making her eyebrows furrow in thought "We did some tests on the blood he luckily enough still has and his body age came up to around 14 to 16 years old"

"What? Armsmaster isn't that a premature decision." Battery said, frowning, "We still don't know enough about him to even deem him safe. And you want to put him together with the wards?"

"That's not even accounting for his lack of knowledge." Dauntless grunted out, "he's a blank slate, right? Does he even know how to read and write? Or basic math. Or even anything about the history of the world?" He pointed out "he's a baby. Putting him in the wards to groom him to be a hero feels a little manipulative and a lack of regard for his own free choice."

Armsmaster frowned a little at the accusation before director piggot stepped in "he may be a case 53 but we've noticed that he's much more knowledgeable than most of them tend to be. His memories, while tampered with, are still somewhat functional," She explained. "It seems that only his memories of recent history like the endbringers, Triggers, and the very concept of heroes and villains were tampered with."

Dauntless nodded, satisfied "If that's true, then go ahead. As long as the kid knows what he's getting into"

Armsmaster nodded, "Acknowledged. However, considering what he's done. It's either the wards or he'll be confined inside The Protectorate establishments cause that kid will go and fight no matter what."

Hannah frowned. "What do you mean?"

"Yesterday, the police got an emergency call from him. Using the phone of a girl that he had saved from the empire, he grunts. "Initiation" process," he spat out venom in his tone, "while that in itself is fine. He killed five men without a moment's hesitation once he sensed what was happening"

Hannah blinked. She couldn't say that she exactly felt bad for scum like them to die if what he said was true. But the fact that he had killed them that easily did pose a few questions about his mental state.

"Wait," Assault suddenly spoke up, "You said he sensed he has a sensory ability?" He asked assault was likely going to side with the boy considering his own...not so heroic past as a criminal.

"most likely," he answered. "By his admission, it seems that he could sense any acts that he deems "evil" in a 3-mile radius." he answered, "his powers won't allow him not to fight. It's like not allowing a tinker to tinker. And we all know what happens then"

The entire room shivered at the thought.

"Hmm. I understand. But I'll have to know what I'm working with. I don't have to explain how disastrous it would be to have an unstable case 53 near the children," She answered back, crossing her arms. "You've already interviewed him, right? Let's watch the recordings"

Armsmaster nodded as the screen switched to a top-down view of one of the cameras in the interrogation rooms

"Clark is your name am I correct?"

"Yes sir"

"Tell me why did you kill those men you could've easily had just knocked them out considering that they were just a bunch of gangbangers and you a cape that could bench press them all day long if you so chose to"

"Uh...I'm not wearing a cape so? And I don't think I am a cape either?...either way. I was honestly trying to just knock them out. I guess I just underestimated my new strength. I don't remember being this strong"

"Capes are what we call people with powers, whether they be villains or heroes. Do you feel bad for killing those men?"

"No way. Honestly, I feel like I did the world a favor. Those dudes were the scum of the earth's lowest of the low. Well I mean better than pedos but you get what I mean"

Hannah pursed her lips. "Shadow stalker would probably get along with him wouldn't she?"

The rest of the interview was fairly normal. All things considered, he did at least appear to be mentally right in the head. Still, a therapist couldn't hurt. Just in case.

"Tell me where is the boy right now?" She asked

"He's at the station. The girl he saved started having a panic attack soon after he left. Seems she's gotten quite attached after what happened" Armsmaster said coldly. He may not show it, but all of them could tell that it was bothering him. "he's guiding her home as we speak. A couple of our agents trailing them in case needed."

Hannah nodded as she stood up from her chair "I see. Send me the address through my coms. I'll go meet him myself," She said, giving them all a respectful nod and walking out to meet the potentially new ward.

She trusts armsmaster and the director. But seeing is believing. And she'd like to meet this young boy before they start making plans to integrate him with the wards. Hopefully, he is as mentally sound as he looked in the interview.
