"Help me out of this!" Tundra Man screamed as he was struggling to wriggle out of the fabric. This got Brittany's attention. She rushed over, but had no clue how to remove it. Damn you!, she thought, stupid brother, where the fuck is he?!

"I'll call for help," she said. Bass was starting to get agitated with how long the makeover was taking. He thought am I fucking done yet?.

Bass got up, and decided to tell Brittany what was on his mind. "I'm getting fucking out of here before you get even more distracted. If you want to fight my face paint, be serious about it, I have no time for cowards!"

Brittany felt enraged by that. Who was this guy to insist that she wasn't serious about her job, the nerve of him!

"I haven't even finished your primer* you bastard! Get back here, you basic bitch!" she yelled, chasing after him.

Did she really use my name as a bad pun?, he thought. He ran after her, yelling "I'll rip you a new one and give you a makeover you won't regret!"

Ring Man wondered does he even have the three laws programmed into him?! He threatened to rip that girl's face off!

Brittany had a quick response. "Joke's on you, I can cover scars with make-up like a boss!"

Bass tries to imagine Wily being good at anything art-related and is confused. What type of boss is she speaking of, he thinks. He yells back, "I'll kill you for your lack of fighting spirit," and continues the chase. Brittany is hard to catch, going under furniture and weaving between Bass' legs. "If you dare!" she yells as she passes his feet for the fifteenth time.

"Not like you can catch me because I'm smaller than you. You're a slow piece of scrap metal!", she weaves through his kicks and scratches his shin guard.

Bass becomes even more enraged. "Who are you calling slow?" he asks rhetorically. Something in his programming tells him to shoot her, another tells him not to shoot her.

RIng Man, being unable to keep his eyes off of this, wonders, is this where Wily got Block's Napoleon complex* from?

"Are your processors in need of replacement or not?" Brittany yelled, standing on his shoulder. He went to punch her, but missed. "You heard what I said!"

Bass decided to do something drastic. "Fight me, bitch."

Brittany replied, "You're the bitch here. Come on."

"I'll turn you into roadkill with Treble by my side", he laughed, and attempted to call Treble. Treble did not care enough to show up.

"Is dat wittle boy lost without his puppy?" Brittany asked, using a child-like lisp. "How sad." She fakes crying and backing out, then turning her mood back to a furious, yet stable rage, dropping the lisp in favor of a menacing tone with eye contact. "You can't say its a fair fight if you call for helo, coward. Do you admit you're weak and need your friends to help you just like the little boy in the house? So you admit that you're nothing but a helpless little boy." She ended the eye contact, pointed to him and pretended to wipe her eyes like she was crying, teasing him.

Bass then stated, since he was confused by being called "little" by a medium rodent. "Who are you calling little?" he asked, feeling scared to some extent and fighning sheepishness, even rubbing the side of his head like he was confused. "You're 10" tall and I'm 52" tall*. And you weigh less than a box that comes in the mail." He twriled his fingers near his head like he was calling her crazy.

Brittany wonders how heavy his mail is, since she hadn't encountered that. "If you want to compare height and weight stats, fine, I wouldn't be suprised if a metalhead like you weighs a ridiculous amount*"

Bass felt insulted. "You calling me heavy?" They were standing apart and looking at each other at this point.

Brittany answered back seriously, "Yes, I am. Considering that your nemesis has broken multiple chairs, I'd say it's time to maybe downsize the parts in you."

Ring Man, Pharaoh Man, and Kalinka think simiultaneously, is she Beat? I've never met someone who wants to put a robot on a diet more than him

Bass feels annoyed, and mentally worn down. He explains calmly, "I need all of these parts in me to function, I cant downsize as easily as you potentialy could."

Brittany was suprised that CICO doesnt work on robots. "I get that it's not your fault, but come on, at least you're not the guy who left a crater in the lawn by sitting. I don't know how we'll explain that one to dad."

Bass recognized the culprit by the description. Wait, Hard Man came over? "He's meant to do that, Hard Man is made to clear land."

Brittany thought that explains the grass being gone. She thought of her older sister. "Jeanette will thank him later for the new garden bed.

Bass noticed Jeanette and Crash Man tilling the soil, and freaks out. "Tell you sister to get out of there or she'll blow up!" He's worried about Jeanette for some reason.

Brittany remains calm. "She'll deactivate them, no problem."

Bass thinks, rodents are weird.

……. ……….

Notes:

Bass is a very angsty character. You'll find out more about who he is in the next few chapters, but it makes sense, in my head at least, that he swears. As of the time of writing this note, I'm thinking that this is likely to moreso veer towards an M rating because the characters do bring up themes to a level of heavy implication as a part of normal conversation.

Primer is a term used for a foundational layer of paint. The term for make-up is "foundation", but primer popped into my head as I wrote this for some reason. Since Brittany is using make-up in order to test a later paint job, the terms could be interchangeable since she's using the make-up like washable paint.

A Napoleon complex is when a person perceives their small size as something to compensate for to the extreme since they assume that they are weak, named for the famously not short Napoleon Bonaparte, who was made fun of for being short despite being taller than some men I know. All of the bosses in 11 have their personalities altered as a part of the reprogramming by Dr. Wily, and Block Man comes off as having a severe Napoleon complex to the point where his power gear form has him summoning blocks to essentially make his own DIY mech to make himself larger and more powerful. One of his battle taunts is even "Who are you calling small?" One of only 2 I defeated with English voice acting enabled, and my first Mega Man boss ever.

Metric conversions because why not. Bass states that he's 134cm tall, while accutately guessing that Brittany is about 25cm tall. There's no canonical height and weight stats listed for Bass to my knowledge, but how I got there will be explained in-story in a later chapter. As far as listing his opponent (Brittany's) weight stats according to his estimate, given her size and stature, I have definitely gotten mail heavier than she is (CRT monitor, cough, but mundane stuff like comic books, manga lots, and pet supplies fall under this). I'd estimate for all of the Chipmunks characters that they all fall into the 3.5-5lb range.

Look at the height and weight stats for Mega Man 6's bosses, you'll get where I'm coming from. Metal, wiring, and computer parts weigh more than skin, blood vessels, and organs. I had this question when using unlimited Beat Calls in Mega Man 11, since Beat becomes visibly exhausted after a few seconds. I'm on Team Upgrade Beat's Joints, the poor guy, he needs better joints for a heavier load capacity.

This may be a random thing, but David Seville's dining chairs look old enough that Mega Man may actually be above the weight capacity of them. Due to the amount of stuff crammed in to make him function, he weighs about 245lbs at 4'4" (134cm), so his compact frame may cause uneven pressure which could cause the chair to fail, even if he is below the weight limit, due to the pressure it was rated for requiring the user to have a larger surface area. I'm not old enough to remember when chairs started having higher weight limits more commonly, but chairs got huge after 2010, in regards to the ones you could buy at the store.

KInd of back to a previous comment, but more details. Beat was a missile shooter in his first appearance and it took him a few games to get his current job of rescuing from pitfalls. He wasn't designed for that, so it's very taxing to him. In the CDs with data you collect in Mega Man and Bass, Beat's quote straight up tells Mega Man to go on a diet despite the fact that robots can't do that.

CICO, standing for calories in, calories out, is a weight management technique which is used in a losing, maintaining, or gaining weight depending on what the user needs to do. It operates on basic math.
