Timmy Turner had a girlfriend.
It wasn't one that he had wished up using the magic of his Fairy Godparents, not one he won over using their magic (okay he impressed her some more when he had taken her to his dimension but she liked him before that) and it wasn't a result of some magic that she liked him using some sort of work around Da Rules.
He honest to God had a girlfriend.
Off course he had to go to a different universe and fell for a girl there but still.
Through magic and technology (from his interdimensional friend Jimmy Neutron who was also Cindy's 'friend' or rather frenemy); they were able to keep in touch with what was probably the first interdimensional long distance relationship in history.
Right now they were texting on their phones as Timmy was in his room with Cosmo and Wanda watching over him:
So once again; you're not mad that I lied about being smart or rich?
Cindy's reply came.
A bit annoyed but over it. Besides I don't mind that you're not that smart; makes me look smarter being with you.
Timmy had a bit of a frown there but then came in Cindy's next text almost immediately before he could reply.
Just joking but seriously; you listen to me and treat me as someone smart. Not a lot of boys I've met do that and especially not Nerdtron.
Timmy felt relieved but then there was Wanda waving his digital clock to his face; "Uh sport... Trust me; I am as happy for you as it's possible for me to and maybe even more but... You don't want to be late for the bus right? Jorgen set up a new limit to how many times we can just poof our godkids to school per semester; not wanting you all to be lazy..." Wanda pointed out and Timmy saw that she was right and got up.
"Got it... Get to school and try and fake my way through the classes!" Timmy said grabbing his backpack and saying goodbye to his parents.
"That's the spirit Timmy; that way of thinking got me through Fairy World Elementary!" Cosmo cheered him on as he and Wanda transformed into pencils in Timmy's shirt pocket as Wanda shot him a look as they were next to eachother.
"The only reason you passed elementary school was that your teachers help you cheat just to be rid of you!" Wanda retorted as Timmy saw the bus arrive. He was getting on when an alert came onto his phone with a new text from Cindy:
Libby got some new sounds so could you tell me what you think?
Timmy put his headphones in and started listening to the music. He was getting into it as while Cindy's best friend Libby was suspicious of him at first; she did warm up to him and did know her music.
Then came the pretty and popular Trixie Tang onto the bus and directing unpopular students saying hello to her as 'empty bus seats'; she passed Timmy and got to her phone. However she turned around and frowned when she saw that it didn't look like Timmy had noticed her at all.
Then there was his two best friends at school AJ and Chester McBadbat sitting right behind his seat; "Uh dude... Trixie Tang just passed you..." Chester said after AJ podded his shoulder.
"Uh... Oh got it..." Timmy said having taken off his earphones to listen to what Chester had said. He then went to texting Cindy putting away the question about Trixie:
Sounds great Cindy; my compliments to the music chef!
Timmy's backup friends Sanjay and Elmer from their seats gasped as Chester and AJ then looked at eachother; AJ then got out a device to scan Timmy's head. "DNA match for Timmy Turner and it doesn't look like he is under some sort of trance or something..." AJ then told Chester.
"Wow... Timmy likes Cindy so much that he didn't notice that Trixie went past him and he didn't care..." Wanda said astonished as Cosmo looked to her.
"Maybe this will be good for Timmy; not have to chase a seemingly unattainable goal of winning over Trixie Tang." Cosmo suggested as Wanda looked back to him.
"Here you are acting smart..." Wanda said impressed as Cosmo smiled at the praise.
It was later during lunch and Timmy was sitting with his friends and backup friends when he got a text from his phone from Cindy:
A Jet Fusion movie marathon at the theatre tonight if you are up for it.
Timmy then grinned as it would be their first movie date; however coming up to him was Tootie with her usual captivated look towards Timmy. "Timmy; after school do you want to go the arcade or to the movies? Anything you prefer?" Tootie asked as Timmy frowned and his friends waited to see what excuse he came up with on the spot this time.
"Sorry Tootie but I am going to be spending time with my girlfriend." Timmy said honestly and truthfully as he then texted he would love to back to Cindy. Tootie was open mouthed and it looked like her heart was shattered into a million pieces. Timmy's friends looked to him as AJ then got a device out. "What? Yes; I have a girlfriend!" Timmy repeated himself with an annoyed look on his face and AJ gasped as he showed his device's results.
Saying that it scanned him as 100% being truthful.
"You have a girlfriend..." Elmer asked.
"...That you are ignoring and overlooking TRIXIE Tang over?" Sanjay then continued.
"This is something that we have got to see..." Chester said as Timmy got up with his tray to move.
"Okay another time but I just want to eat my lunch and not deal with a thousand questions..." Timmy said shaking his head as Tootie looked on in anger and Trixie heard what had transpired themselves.
They both wanted to see this girlfriend for themselves.
I admit that I don't like Jimmy X Cindy and I was taken back when I read that she would be crushing on Timmy in the first Jimmy Timmy Power Hour but when I first saw that first special on the TV when it first aired here in the UK I think; I ended up liking them together. Like various Timmy pairings like Trixie, Molly and definitely not Tootie. However I was disappointed as it's always that Timmy and Cindy pairing stories are so rare so I want to see about fixing that. Up for ideas on how to continue this.
