Inside an office Fisk was meeting with Wesley with Fisk not looking pleased in the slightest; "Sorry Mr Fisk but we got word that the people sent to try and deal with the Grave Dust dealers... Were not in good shape when they were found..." Wesley told him apologetically as Fisk got up and looked out the window.
"This city belongs to me and anyone trying to move into territory on my domain is inexcusable. Especially after I have dealt with one problem by having supervillains made to distract Spider-Man. A drug like Grave Dust will make Brooklyn more uncontrollable. Tombstone and his ilk must be dealt with." Fisk then said matter of factly and Wesley then nodded.
"Understandable Mr Fisk sir. We are looking into where Tombstone must be manufacturing the drug." Wesley then informed him.
"When you have; I want it shut down. Have Brant send as much men as he can." Fisk then ordered and Wesley nodded and then left.
Peter and Aaron were swinging about Brooklyn when they found a hardware store being broken into; some young men in street clothes were there taking stuff out of the broken store window. "This isn't what they mean when when they say that the prices are a steal..." Peter said as the men then got inhalers out.
"You're not the only one with power anymore you masked bug!" yelled one of them and before Peter could make a crack about spiders being arachnids and not bugs; they began using the inhalers with their skin turning grey.
"Okay... You weren't kidding..." Peter remarked as he began webbing at them but they broke free to his shock and he went to punch them. However the contact hurt his hands and they grinned as they started punching him hard as he yelled in pain. "What is this stuff..." Peter asked as Prowler shooting projectiles at them and they didn't work went to help get Peter out of the way.
Aaron then began using his claws to try and push them back as Peter just kept sending webs at them which they broke free; however their skins turned to normal and they looked tired. Peter then went to work webbing them up as Aaron took them down. The shopkeeper looked relieved as the police then arrived.
"So if it isn't Spider-Man and Prowler... Let me guess; Grave Dust... Looks like another case in New York that needs masked vigilantes to solve for us..." Jefferson said sighing as they came up as Peter was frowning behind his mask. Peter and Aaron then swinged away as Aaron was looking at Jefferson behind him.
"Let's hope that Doctor Connors can help with finding a solution to this thing... Plus I might need that serum he told me about..." Peter said frowning as they were helpless until the Grave Dust effects had run out on them.
"Meet you up again tomorrow..." Aaron said looking behind him again which Peter noticed. "Don't go telling people that but the police captain there... My brother..." Aaron explained as Peter took this in.
"Would be awkward an awkward Christmas if he finds out that you're one of the masked vigilantes he mentioned..." Peter joked as Aaron was silent about this.
The next day during lunch Peter was at the Midtown library looking up recent reports of Brooklyn; not being widely known yet compared to the Spider-Man stuff but he frowned that something like this was being treated as lesser news. "So... Grave Dust... This Spider-Man stuff..." whispered a voice behind Peter as he saw that Felicia was overlooking him on his chair with a smirk.
"Felicia... Can you not..." Peter demanded in a whisper shaking his head.
"Doing this now since it looks like you're on the outs with MJ and Eddie... Shame but hopefully you can fix things with the smoking rich girl while you can..." Felicia then said smirking as Peter turned his head to glare at her. "You know... I could help with this... Looking through my dad's stuff and I know of his old criminal contacts..." Felicia offered as Peter was silent at this.
"Alright... Can't help but to hear this out..." Peter sighed as he turned to her.
"Patch. An ex reporter named Fosswell... Was on the mob's payroll and uses his reporting skills to dig up dirt to try and have leverage... A full time criminal after he got fired and shame; he was better at the job than your best friend is." Felicia explained and Peter was silent.
"Thanks Felicia..." Peter then whispered back as she smirked at him before leaving with a wave.
In an abandoned manufacturing plant there were all sorts of vehicles and the place was being run by people in baker's get up. One of them went into a small office where there was large man with rock hard skin. "Tombstone. Some of our customers got caught by the cops. Taken down by Spider-Man and the Prowler guy that helped him with those robots. Didn't look like that they could fight against Grave Dust." said the man as the man named Tombstone grinned.
"This is gonna spread the word; a drug that can make someone so tough that they can take on Spider-Man! I'm gonna be the new Big Man in New York; once I take over Brooklyn then I can work on taking over the crime enterprises of the city!" Tombstone then gloated.
"You know the Big Man is looking to shut down our operations here." the man then said as Tombstone laughed.
"Let him try..." Tombstone then said confidently.
After school Peter went to the nearest alley and changed into Spider-Man; he found the address of Fosswell and got into the apartment through the window. He found all sorts of devices there and all sorts of wallets. There was a man with an eyepatch there who yelled out "Spider-Man? What are you doing here... I know nothing of this stuff being stolen and the wallets... I swear that I am gonna hand them in..." the man said jumping at seeing Spider-Man.
"You must be Patch and I want to know if you know anything about Grave Dust? The drug in Brooklyn?" Peter demanded as Patch stared at him.
"Even if I did know anything about it; what's stopping me from calling the cops on you for breaking and entering?" Patch asked as Peter got closer.
"And let them see your contraband here? I could make a scene and get the cops called in here on a disturbance report?" Peter then retorted as Patch then stomped his foot and sighed.
"Fine... It's dealt by by Tombstone's gang... He was a young delinquent who broke into this Alchemax plant. This pharmaceutical company that had just gone bankrupt; probably thought that there was something he could use... They were working on some chemical called Diox-3 but it mutated and he got exposed to the stuff... Made him bigger, stronger and his skin like stone... Nothing can harm him... Made his own biker gang and left New York with them and dealt with running protection rackets and chop shop... They returned to New York and moved their operations here. I believe that they are working out of the old Alchemax building." Patch then explained as Peter thought it over.
"So Diox-3... It's Grave Dust?" peter asked as Patch nodded.
"Kind of... They diluted the stuff to make it temporary... So they could control the product and make their customers dependent on his crew for supplies." Patch replied as Peter then grabbed all the wallets and got to the window. "Hey; what are you doing!" Patch yelled out.
"Thanks for your help and don't worry; I will turn these in for you!" Peter said grinning behind his mask as he web slinged away.
Patch then got to the window and yelled out frustrated "I should have taken the cards and money out first..."
Fosswell as Patch is playing a similar role to Fosnight from the original Flash show.
