Disclaimer: I do not own Ben 10 (Which belongs to Man of Action) or Bleach (Which belongs to Tite Kubo)

-I acknowledge there wasn't a lot of action lately but things will start to pick up. Also, it is time we said farewell to the Teen Titans and wish them luck on their own adventures.

-Again, sorry for how long this chapter was. Chronosign pointed out that usually chapters are 4-6 thousand words for the sake of simplicity. I will try to keep my future chapters around that length so things don't drag on. My main problems were trying to give focus to as many of the sheer cast of characters as possible, and due to so many questions needing to be addressed. That's something else I'll be working on in the future chapters.

-As always, thank you Pyromania101 and Vandenbz for proofreading. I'll explain more at the end of the chapter. Now onto the story:

Karakura Days:

Part One

The interior of Urahara's shop greeted everyone once they could see again.

"Welcome to my humble shop, Azmuth, Thorn," Urahara said with a wave of his hand.

"Quite… homely," Azmuth said as he hopped onto the room's table. "Now, about this liaison from Soul Society?"

"I'll be contacting Soul Society shortly to see their progress," the shop owner told him. "I'll also be working on a gigai for Miss Harribel here."

"I can wait until you're done talking with Soul Society," Harribel offered.

"Now, now, Miss Harribel," Urahara waved his fan in a grandiose manner. "Creating a gigai while contacting them will take no time at all. In the meantime, why don't the rest of you wait in the Study Chamber?"

"Study Chamber?" Ben asked.

"Oh yeah," Ken grinned. "Urahara's got this training area right underneath the store. Come and see."

Ken went over to the doors leading to the backroom. Much to Ben's surprise, he pulled up one of the floor panels, revealing the top of a ladder. Joining his alternate self's son, Ben peered down, only able to make out a brightly lit area with rocky ground. Swinging himself onto the ladder, the hero began his descent.

/

When everyone was gathered at the bottom of the ladder, Ben whistled as he took in the sight.

"I know something like this isn't quite as impressive as Las Noches," Urahara said, waving his fan once again. "But I'd like to see Aizen pull this off in one day and night."

The Study Chamber was a massive area that looked like a rocky plain, complete with a painted sky and several withered trees. Ben shoved his hands into his pockets and looked around, grunting when he accidentally stubbed his toe on a particular rock jutting out of the ground.

"Went all-out huh?" Ben said, clutching his smarting foot.

"I originally made this place for Ichigo to train in," Urahara explained.

"And it became a good training spot for Renji and the others when they were staying here," Ken added.

"Just like back in Las Noches," Ben said as he thought of his own spars and training.

"Indeed, very well done," Azmuth said. "Though I'm also impressed you were able to construct such a chamber without drawing attention to yourself."

"So do we just hang around here until you're done, Urahara?" Ben inquired.

"I figured everyone would enjoy more space while I work," Urahara replied. "Of course, you're welcome to any of my wares. It's the least I can do for your help in saving the town."

"Just don't take too much," Paradox jokingly warned. "He does need those for the customers after all."

Ben made his way to the smoothest boulder he could find and sat down against it, frowning as he tried to adjust his position.

"Don't worry," Urahara said with a chuckle. "I'll have some furniture brought down to make things a little more comfortable for all of you. I take it you'll be preparing yourselves for the arrival of Soul Society's representative?"

"All we really can do right now," Ben said as he crossed his arms behind his head and gazed up at the painted sky. Unless one looked close enough, it really did look as convincing as the one in Las Noches.

"What's on your mind?" Ken asked as he sat down beside his father's alternate self.

Ben looked around to see that the other Titans had gathered nearby. Superboy and Cyborg were standing, Starfire was sitting cross-legged on the ground, Miss Martian was sitting on top of a smaller boulder and Raven was sitting cross-legged like Starfire, only she was hovering in the air.

"Just hoping that everything works out," Ben said with a sigh.

"Well, the fact that they're willing to talk at all is a good sign," Ken pointed out.

"Let's hope it stays that way, and that they're sending someone who's open-minded."

"They should be willing to," Urahara said encouragingly. "I'll see what I can do just in case."

"Hey," Superboy spoke up. "I just remembered, since we're about to go back to our universe, we better give Urahara his equipment back."

"Why thank you, Superboy, I was honestly about to suggest that. But for now you can hold onto them until you're about to leave."

Ben blinked. "Those goggles and stuff don't belong to you?"

"Oh no," Starfire said, her hair lightly swishing as she shook her head in response. "Urahara gave those to us so we could see and touch spirits."

"Not to mention he gave me some upgrades that allowed me to do the same thing," Cyborg said, lightly pounding his chest.

Ben tilted his head. "Wait, then how come I didn't need any of that stuff?"

"That would be my doing,"

Ben stared at the creator of the Ultimatrix. "Your doing, Azmuth?"

"When I was upgrading your Ultimatrix, I added another feature courtesy of Thorn. Though I suspect he may have acquired the technology from this universe." Azmuth turned his head to the Interloper. "Why don't you elaborate, Thorn?"

Scratching the back of his head, Thorn turned his gaze towards Ben.

"People with a decent amount of Spiritual Pressure are capable of seeing and touching spirits in this universe. I got Azmuth some equipment that would allow you to soak in Spirit Particles like a sponge through the Ultimatrix, boosting your own Spiritual Pressure. This was to ensure you could interact with the Arrancar."

"Hueco Mundo's atmosphere is full of Spirit Particles," Azmuth added. "So the function started absorbing them the moment you set foot there."

"More like set face," Ben grumbled, wincing at remembering how he face-planted into the desert sand. "Hey, wait, does that mean I get cool spirit powers now?"

"I'm afraid not." Despite his words, there was obvious amusement in Azmuth's tone. "The feature had a set counter and once the Ultimatrix absorbed enough Spirit Particles to reach said counter, the function deactivated."

"Awww." Ben slumped, holding his head in disappointment.

"Had you gained spiritual powers on top of the Ultimatrix," Azmuth went on, "Aizen would have used Kyoka Suigetsu on you for sure. Why do you think I didn't just give you the Master Control before you were sent here?"

"Master Control?" Harribel asked as she raised a brow, turning towards Ben for clarification.

"The Master Control lets me use every alien I've got, stay as them for as long as I want, and lets me switch just by thinking about it," Ben said.

Harribel's eyes widened. "How many aliens can you truly become?"

"Why don't we wait until the meeting with Soul Society to bring that up?" Paradox suggested.

"Good idea," Azmuth quickly cut in. "Anyway, I upgraded the Ultimatrix to amplify the strength and abilities of your aliens as compensation."

"You did? I didn't feel any different," Ben looked at the Ultimatrix in wonder.

"Have you ever used the full power of your aliens here?" Azmuth pointed out. "The closest time might be when you fought Aizen and he had the Hogyoku as a counterbalance."

"Wait, does that mean if you hadn't upgraded the Ultimatrix…"

"I'm certain you didn't needthe upgrade entirely," Azmuth admitted. "But with where you were going, I would rather be safe than sorry."

"Good point," Ben conceded.

"Now, shall we procure a Gigai for myself?" Harribel suggested.

"We shall," Urahara waved his fan towards the ladder. "After you, Miss Harribel."

"I will be back as soon as possible," Harribel told Ben before making her way towards the ladder, the shop owner right behind her. As they disappeared back into the main floor of the shop, Ben sat back down against the boulder.

"So," Starfire said to break the tense atmosphere, "What shall we do to pass the time?"

"Well," Ben said as he stared up at the ceiling once again. "If we're going to make peace with Soul Society, I need to figure out if anything Aizen told me about them was true. Professor? Do you know anything about Soul Society?"

"While the only Soul Reapers I've ever interacted with are Urahara and Yoruichi," Paradox answered, "I do in fact know about Soul Society and let me tell you, Aizen wasn't entirely lying."

"Oh great, that doesn't give me much hope."

"You could always ask the representative and check with Paradox if they're lying," Miss Martian pointed out. "Although I'd like to think they'd be completely honest with you since you helped them."

Thorn let out a snort. "An organization as old as Soul Society should have a crapton of secrets, and most likely they'll only share what they feel Ben needs to know."

"Fortunately, we'll be there to keep Soul Society from trying to spin the narrative in their favor," Azmuth said.

Ben resumed staring at the ceiling. What parts was Aizen telling the truth about? What information was a lie? Would Soul Society try to trick him after all? Ben shut his eyes tight. One step at a time, one step at a time.

"Hey! Who's down there?!"

Three heads were peering down into the Study Chamber. One was a boy with fiery red hair, another was a little girl with black hair done in pigtails, and the other was a bespectacled man with braided hair and a prominent mustache.

"Hello, Tessai!" Ken waved up to them. "I was wondering where you guys were."

"Kisuke had called us to help check on the people in town, otherwise we would have greeted you earlier," the man, Tessai no doubt, answered as he started to descend the ladder, the kids following him.

"This is Tessai, Ururu, and Jinta," Ken explained to Ben. "They help Urahara run his store."

"So you're the great Ben Tennyson that everyone was talking about?" Jinta looked Ben over skeptically once the three had reached the ground. "You sure don't look like much."

"Jinta," Ururu meekly protested. "That's rude."

"I apologize about his behavior," Tessai said, holding an arm out to Ben. Ben stood up to take it, the man's beefier hand nearly engulfing his own. "Tessai Tsukabishi."

"Pleased to meet you." Ben looked over at Ururu and Jinta, the former looking at the ground shyly and the latter was still looking unimpressed at him. "So do you guys know about…?"

"Aizen's capture? Yes, Kisuke told us everything and while I'm not sure what we can do, we'll help you in any way we can."

"I appreciate it. Right now we're waiting for Urahara to finish Harribel's gigai and for Soul Society's representative to show up."

"So one of the Espada is really here?" Jinta questioned, frowning.

"It's alright, Jinta," Ken said. "Nobody's looking for any trouble right now. Everybody just wants peace."

Jinta crossed his arms, his frown deepening.

Just then Azmuth hopped upon Ben's shoulder. "That's something else you'll need to be mindful of, Ben. Considering how long Soul Reapers and Hollows have been enemies, there will no doubt be many on both sides who object to peace."

"Yeah," Ben said dryly. "Say, Mr. Tessai…"

Tessai chuckled. "After helping save the town, you don't need to be so formal with me. Just Tessai will do."

"Well, if you say so. Okay, Tessai, what can you tell me about Soul Society?"

Tessai put his hands on his hips. "Well for starters, what exactly has Aizen told you about them?"

"Pretty much that they were corrupt and doing things like mistreating the poor. He also told me how they tried to execute a Soul Reaper for giving powers to a human, the Vizards…"

Tessai stroked his chin. "Yes, to someone unfamiliar with Soul Society that would paint quite a negative picture. What's more troublesome is that Aizen was right on almost all accounts."

"Oh great," Ben grumbled.

"Indeed, the Soul Society has been very firm in their ways. Kisuke and I were framed by Aizen and the Central 46 did not give us a chance to defend ourselves. We only escaped thanks to Yoruichi's aid. As you already know, the Vizards were labeled traitors for undergoing Hollowfication."

"It never occurred to them that the Vizards might have been forced?" Miss Martian wondered.

"It's hard to say whether they didn't consider it or Aizen tricked the Central 46 into thinking the Vizards allowed themselves to be Hollowfied."

"Unfortunately, it's also possible they didn't care," Raven said, looking over everyone else. "Maybe just the fact that the Vizards were Hollowfied at all was enough to condemn them."

"It is highly possible," Tessai said grimly. "Then of course, there is the fact that they were willing to execute Rukia for giving her powers to Ichigo."

Ben's eyes widened at this revelation. "And she gave Ichigo powers to save his family, right?" Tessai nodded. "And they didn't care about that?"

Tessai sighed. "I'm afraid the Central 46 focused more on the fact that a law was broken, not the reasons why."

Ben huffed, pacing back and forth as he processed this information.

"I will say though," Tessai added, "Soul Society may become more open-minded now after realizing how easily they were manipulated by Aizen."

"Even those Central 46 guys?" Ben couldn't help wondering.

"The original Central 46 were slaughtered by Aizen himself before the depths of his treachery were revealed," Tessai answered. "We can only hope the new members do not follow in the footsteps of their predecessors."

Ben grimaced. "Of course he did."

"As for those who live in the Rukongai; while the members of Seireitei do not actively mistreat them, I cannot deny that many districts are neglected and crime-ridden."

Superboy crossed his arms. "Soul Society is the afterlife but it's no different from places in the living world. That feels kind of messed up."

"I wonder how many people thought they were going to Heaven only to see where they really went?" Cyborg couldn't help but speak up.

"Be honest with me, Tessai," Ben said, leaning against his boulder once more. "What do you really think the chances for peace are?"

"It will be an uphill battle for you, Ben," Tessai admitted to the user of the Ultimatrix. "I can imagine they will want to see if you and the Espada can truly keep the Hollows in line. That will be the biggest factor in establishing peace."

"What about Soul Society's own problems?" Superboy pointed out sharply. "Soul Reapers aren't a bunch of saints themselves."

"That is not the responsibility of anyone here," Azmuth said firmly. "The best all of you can do in that is hope that the Soul Reapers themselves will clean up their act."

"Perhaps seeing improvement in Hueco Mundo will convince them to improve their own realm as well."

"Hopefully," Raven spoke up with Ben nodding.

"So any idea when someone from Soul Society is coming to talk to you?" Jinta asked, arms behind his head.

Ben shook his head. "I'll check with Urahara after he finishes Tia's gigai. How long does it take to make one anyway?"

"Oh they don't take much time at all," Tessai said. "Now we've never made one for an Arrancar before but it shouldn't be any different than making one for a Soul Reaper. In the meantime, do you have any other questions about Soul Society?"

Ben shook his head. "I think that's it until the representative gets here. Really hope they send someone who will listen. Meanwhile, I hope everyone's doing okay in Hueco Mundo."

"I'm sure they would have come here if anything was wrong, Ben," Starfire smiled encouragingly at him.

"I know, Starfire, it's just…" Sitting on top of the boulder now, Ben cradled his head. "Tessai's right, this is going to be an uphill battle."

"Rest assured, Ben," Tessai said warmly, patting the younger man on the back. "There are reasonable Soul Reapers in Soul Society. I'm certain that they will side with you."

"Will that be enough?"Ben couldn't help but ask.

"It will be a good start at least," Tessai stated.

"A good start can go a long way," Ken smiled at the alternate version of his dad, who returned the smile.

Just then Tessai looked up at the ceiling. "Someone's coming."

"Are they here already?" Thorn frowned. "Wouldn't they have called Urahara first?

"Maybe they did and Urahara just didn't have time to tell us?" Miss Martian said.

Ben was already off his boulder and climbing up the ladder. It was showtime and he wasn't about to keep them waiting. Ben was just about to climb into the shop…

And about to have a head-on collision with Orihime! Both had just enough time for their eyes to widen when an open palm struck Ben in the stomach, knocking the wind out of him. He would have plummeted back into the Study Chamber if he hadn't been grabbed by his shirt and hoisted into the shop.

"Easy there, Ben," A grinning Yoruichi said as she set Ben on his feet. The hero doubled over, rubbing his gut. "Last thing we want is for you and Orihime to hit each other."

A gasping wheeze was the only response Ben could give as he gulped for air, hands on his knees.

"Whoops," Yoruichi rubbed the back of her head. "I guess I overdid it."

"You think?" Ben rasped as he straightened himself.

"Not gonna lie, Yoruichi," Ken said as he rose from the floor of the shop, Miss Martian following closely. "That was kinda overkill."

Yoruichi chuckled. "Sorry about that, Ben."

"Don't mention it," Ben muttered, rubbing his stomach again before addressing Orihime. "You're back already, Orihime?"

"The Fourth Division said they could take care of things from here," Orihime explained.

"So we decided to help get Ichigo back home," Yoruichi added. "I called Kisuke in advance but he told me he was busy working on your Arrancar friend's Gigai."

"Ichigo's back?"

Yoruichi nodded before looking over her shoulder. "Alright, fellas! Bring him in! And be careful!"

"Yes, Lady Yoruichi!"

Everyone had to jump to the side as a group of Soul Reapers barged in, carrying Ichigo's body on a stretcher.

"I'll be sure to get a futon for him when Kisuke's done," Yoruichi assured the others as the Soul Reapers gently set Ichigo's body on the floor and hastily departed just as fast as they had left.

"Ah, Yoruichi," Paradox said warmly, standing beside the others with Azmuth on his shoulder. "Good to see you again."

Yoruichi smiled back. "Hello Professor, Kisuke said you were here." Her eyes landed on Azmuth. "So this is the great Azmuth that invented Ben's Ultimatrix. I can only imagine how giddy Kisuke was to meet you."

"We've had some interesting conversations,"Azmuth stroked his whiskers. "Your universe does fascinate me."

"Feeling all better, Yoruichi?" Ken asked. "No offense, but Aizen did throw you for a loop."

Yoruichi just patted Orihime's shoulder. "Never better thanks to Orihime here. I honestly think the 4th Division sent her home so she didn't wind up taking their jobs. With her powers, we almost don't need a healing division."

Said girl blushed at the compliment, rubbing the back of her head with a smile. Ben felt himself smile at Orihime's improved mood.

Cyborg stepped forward. "So, Yoruichi. Any news about Soul Society's representative?"

"Funny you should mention that," Yoruichi replied. "We went ahead first to make sure Ichigo was safely returned home but as for the representative, she was right behind us."

"She?" Suddenly Ben's vision went black and he felt two large, soft, and round objects pressed against his head.

"Guess who~" A familiar voice whispered huskily into his ear. Ben's body temperature went up several degrees.

"L-Lieutenant Matsumoto?!"

"Yep, you guessed right!"

Rangiku released her hands from Ben's eyes and he quickly stepped forward, his face getting even hotter as he realized just what had been pressed up against him. He turned around to see the lieutenant of the 10th Division grinning playfully at him. Yoruichi was chuckling through her teeth and he could hear various snickers coming from behind him.

"You're the representative?" Ben asked as he hoped his blush wasn't too obvious.

"Aww," Rangiku pouted, giving Ben a puppy dog-eyed look. "Is there something wrong with me?"

Well, this definitely wasn't what Ben expected. Before he could reply, Rangiku giggled.

"I'm kidding, Ben. Orihime told me you were really down the last time she saw you so I was just trying to lighten the mood."

Orihime wrung her hands when Ben brought his attention over to her. He gave her a reassuring smile before returning his attention to Rangiku. "Well, that's certainly a way to greet somebody."

Rangiku just giggled again before looking around the store. "So, how's Urahara coming along with your friend's gigai?"

"Not sure," Ben admitted as he looked around the store. "I hope everything's alright."

"I'm sure Kisuke would have said something if there were any problems," Yoruichi said calmly. "I wonder what's taking so long though."

"Maybe it is trickier to make a gigai for an Arrancar over a Soul Reaper?" Miss Martian suggested.

Yoruichi frowned. "I really don't think it should be. I'll check on Kisuke in a few minutes."

"While it's good to see you again, Rangiku," Ken spoke up, "How come you're the representative and not one of the captains?"

"The captains are still busy back in Soul Society right now, so the Captain-Commander chose to have one of the lieutenants go first," Rangiku explained.

"Sure you didn't do it so you could get out of doing paperwork?" Ken teased, causing Ben to tilt his head.

"I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about," Rangiku said before smiling at Ben. "Is there anything you would like to talk to me about?"

Ben shook his head. "I want to wait until Tia's ready, that way we can talk together."

"Tia, huh?" Rangiku grinned and Ben remembered her sporting that same look back at the fake town, causing him to roll his eyes. "Fair enough, we'll wait until Tia is ready. But if that's the case, we'll need to find something to pass the time."

"Well, maybe we can talk some more about my universe while we wait?" Ken offered.

"Oh, I meant to ask; are you taking part in the peace talks, Ken?"

Ken shook his head. "Afraid not but if you're the representative, Rangiku, I'm sure things will work out."

"I hope so," Rangiku said softly.

"By the way, I don't think you've met the rest of my team." His words caused Miss Martian to wave at the Soul Reaper. "Come on down and get to know them."

/

Soon everyone was back down in the Study Chamber. Introductions were made and the Titans began sharing more of their stories with Rangiku, Orihime, and Yoruichi. The two Soul Reapers were intrigued but Orihime was the one who was positively enraptured. Her eyes were shining like stars at the cool things the Titans had accomplished.

"Even now, the idea of other universes and all the things in them is incredible," Rangiku cupped her chin. "I can only imagine what will happen when you meet with Captain Kurotsuchi."

Ben blanched. "I was afraid you'd say that."

Rangiku flinched at his reaction. "Oh, Aizen told you about him?"

"Oh yeah."

Rangiku sighed and even Orihime looked a bit uncomfortable.

"Like I said though," Ben went on, "I'll hold off until Tia gets here."

"Fair enough," Rangiku conceded. "I'll admit, I don't know much about the captain myself. Not someone I'd go out of my way to chat with. Captain Hitsugaya would be more helpful there."

"Sorry for the wait, everyone!" Urahara boomed magnanimously from the entrance opening before making his way down.

"You sure took your time, Kisuke," Yoruichi noted, hands on her hips.

"Sorry about that, Yoruichi, I was doing multiple things at once."

"Like what?" Thorn asked, startling Rangiku.

"Where did you come from?!" The lieutenant exclaimed.

"I was here the whole time," Thorn replied. "I just didn't introduce myself yet since you were focused on the Titans. In a nutshell, I'm the guy who sent Ben here."

Rangiku's eyes widened but Thorn held up his hand.

"I know you have a lot of questions," he said. "But like Ben said, wait till Harribel gets here."

"Where is she anyway?" Ben wondered.

"Still getting used to her gigai, I imagine," Kisuke said. "In the meantime, I was struck by a flash of inspiration. Although I've familiarized myself with Las Noches' system; I decided it might just be easier for everyone to construct my own communicators between Las Noches and my shop."

"What about the Soul Pagers?" Starfire asked.

"Ben will have both!" Urahara announced. "I figured it would just be easier this way."

"If you say so," Ben shrugged before looking up at the ladder. "Is it okay if we go up and see Tia? Should we wait?"

"Oh I'm sure she won't mind," Urahara said, looking proud. "Quite impressive work if I do say so myself."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

Urahara flashed a grin that he quickly hid behind his fan. "Why not see for yourself?"

Confusion buzzed across Ben's mind as he quickly scurried back up the ladder.

"Ben! We could have just carried you up this time!" Miss Martian called but Ben was so caught in climbing back out that he didn't hear her.

"Kisuke," Yoruichi sharply eyed her friend. "What did you do?"

Urahara merely waved his fan, reassuring absolutely no one.

/

"Tia!" Ben called as he climbed back into the shop, flinching when he remembered Ichigo was sleeping nearby. He tried again in a softer tone. "Tia? Where are you?"

"I'm here," Harribel's voice came from behind him.

"Are you okay? Urahara was being really cryptic about—"

Ben's mouth clamped shut the moment he turned around.

Harribel, having emerged from another part of the store, was now adorned in a dark blue, spaghetti strap dress and a pair of black wedge heels. What really caught Ben's attention, however, was that Harribel looked different somehow. She seemed to be looking herself over, a frown on her face. As she got closer, Ben noticed that she seemed shorter, closer to his height and her facial features appeared… softer? What had Urahara done?

"Well, what do you think?"

Speaking of the Devil, Urahara was now outside of the Chamber alongside everyone else; most likely Paradox's doing. While the majority were staring at Harribel, Urahara was still looking quite smug.

"Kisuke, what did you do?" Yoruichi demanded again.

"I provided Tia Harribel here with a special gigai that gives the user a more youthful appearance!" Urahara announced grandiosely.

"Youthful?" Ben looked back at Harribel. Yes, that was it! She looked younger!

"Arrancar truly are fascinating," Urahara went on. "According to Miss Harribel herself, an Arrancar's human appearance has little to do with their actual age. Still, I couldn't resist trying out this sort of gigai."

Ken folded his arms and raised a brow. "Why?"

"Well, it all started when I first provided Lieutenant Matsumoto and the visiting Soul Reapers with gigai."

"Wait, are you talking about when they were trying to pose as highschoolers?"

Ben did a double take. "Wait, what?"

"Exactly!" Urahara pointed his fan at the hybrid hero, ignoring Ben's reaction. "Despite nobody questioning the idea they could be highschoolers, it still inspired me to try my hand at making a gigai like the one Harribel is using."

Ben looked back at Harribel, still wrapping his head around her more youthful appearance. Then he noticed she was looking herself over with a frown. Ben was about to ask her what was wrong when he then got a better look at her dress. While not quite as… open as her usual attire, the dress was well above her knees and looked like it was straining against her chest.

"Was it really necessary, though?" Yoruichi had her arms folded as well. "And where did you get that dress?"

"Oh, I had to go shopping as Harribel was about to use her gigai. Told the store owner I was buying a gift for a friend's birthday to make it convincing." Urahara then turned an eye to Ben. "So, Ben? What do you think?"

What did he think? What did it matter what he… Ben's jaw dropped as the realization hit him like Yoruichi's palm strike. His eyes narrowed.

"You did this just to get a reaction out of me? Not cool." Urahara looked taken aback by the accusation. "Yeah I get it, everybody tease Ben, fine but this is too far."

With that, Ben turned to Harribel, his tone softening. "I'm so sorry, Tia. You do look amazing but you're obviously uncomfortable and Urahara had no right to do this to you for a laugh. I'll help you find some better clothes. Somehow." He added when he remembered that he had no way of actually buying anything.

"Ben," Harribel said, confusion on her face. "What are you talking about?"

All the anger in him snuffed out, leaving Ben to also become confused. "You looked uncomfortable and I thought it was because…"

Harribel's eyes widened and she looked down at herself. "Oh! No, my discomfort was because so much of my power is sealed away in this artificial body."

"As for the dress and gigai…" Harribel cast a glance at Urahara, who once again tried hiding behind his fan, "I suspected the reason for his decisions but the gigai is functional, so I am content with it."

"Oh." Ben felt his cheeks warm up yet again and they were burning even hotter as he could hear the snickers and giggles behind him, alongside Urahara's fan flapping a little faster.

"Thank you, though," Harribel added gently. "For being concerned and for the compliment."

"You're welcome." Ben muttered, eyes fixed on his shoes.

"Well, now that Kisuke's little joke is over," Yoruichi frowned at him. "Do you want him to make you another gigai?"

"We have more important matters to worry about," Harribel looked over at Rangiku and bowed her head respectfully. "I take it you are Soul Society's representative, Lieutenant?"

"For the moment I am," Rangiku replied.

"The moment?" Several people repeated.

Rangiku nodded. "Like you, Ben, I felt this was something to say when you and the Espada were both present. Soul Society is considering the idea of sending other Soul Reapers to Karakura Town to talk with you in the days before the meeting."

"So to be clear, we're gonna be dealing with multiple representatives?" Ben asked.

"That's right," Rangiku replied and then turned apologetic. "I felt it better to tell you that in person."

Ben and Harribel looked at each other. "I suppose it makes sense," the Third Espada conceded. "We were planning on switching amongst ourselves as well."

"You wouldn't know who else would be coming, would you?"

Rangiku shook her head at Ben. "I think it's going to be on a day-by-day basis. Course they may have already picked who's going next. I'll try and find out when I get back."

"When you do, contact me and I'll be sure to let Ben know," Urahara volunteered.

"Well, now that everyone is gathered," Azmuth said, "Now we can finally get down to business."

"And I know the best way to do that," Rangiku said with a big smile. "A stroll through town!"

Harribel raised a brow. "What?"

"With everything that's happened, I think it's best if we break the ice with a nice little walk around Karakura Town," Rangiku explained. "I'll slip into my own gigai and then we can be on our way."

"Um, is that a good idea?" Ben turned to Paradox, Thorn, and Azmuth.

"Well, since the town is neutral territory," Urahara spoke up. "Nothing wrong with becoming familiar with it."

Azmuth frowned before he shrugged. "If this can help "break the ice" as the lieutenant put it, then go ahead."

"While we wait, I can ask you some more questions about the technology in your universe, Azmuth," Urahara said brightly. "And maybe pitch some ideas of my own to you."

"Well, I suppose."

"So who's all going?" Rangiku asked, turning towards Orihime and the Titans.

"You want us to come too?" Raven wondered.

"Why not?" Rangiku smiled at them. "The more the merrier."

The other Titans' eyes were on Ken. After a moment, he just smiled back at Rangiku. "Why not?"

Miss Martian and Starfire cheered, Cyborg grinned, Raven seemed uninterested, and Superboy just shrugged.

"Guess I better get ready," Miss Martian said. Ben blinked as she changed into a regular human girl with a white shirt under a red, short-sleeved crop-top with a matching skirt. Cyborg pressed a button on his right arm and in a flash of white light, his cybernetics were gone and he was wearing black sweatpants and a gray sweatshirt.

"Holographic projector," he explained, noticing Ben's perplexed look.

"Kind of like ID masks," Ben couldn't help but notice.

One by one Ben, Harribel, Orihime, and the Titans all left the shop and stood outside, the latter making sure to leave their spirit equipment inside the shop. As they waited, Ben turned back to the Third Espada.

"You sure you're okay with your gigai, Tia? We can try and get Urahara to make you another one."

Harribel crossed her arms. "I'm fine, Ben. Like I said, I am content with it as long as it functions properly and we do have more important matters at hand."

"Still," Ben rubbed the back of his head, "I'm sorry Urahara did that."

"That man does seem to enjoy messing with others," the Third Espada noted.

"I was told that he once sent a message to Ichigo that looked like it was written in blood," Ken spoke up.

"Why do I have a feeling he's going to keep messing with me now?" Ben grumbled.

"Try not to give him any ammo," Cyborg suggested.

"From what we were told about Ichigo, he could get riled up pretty easily," Raven said.

Orihime giggled fondly. "Yes, Ichigo would react very strongly to things that annoyed him."

"So in other words, don't be like Ichigo and he might give up," Superboy concluded.

"Got it. Oh, since we're gonna be out in public, what do I call you guys?"

"Megan."

"Victor."

"Connor."

"Koriand'r, but you can just call me Kory."

"Raven."

Ben nodded just as Rangiku stepped out into the shop, now sporting a corduroy skirt with an open white jacket over a blue t-shirt.

"Alright!" Rangiku beamed. "Let's go!"

/

The unusual group made their way across Karakura Town. Orihime was greatly animated, happily pointing out various sights, rambling about each one and going on about her personal favorite places. As happy as Ben was to see Orihime in better spirits and he wanted to listen to her, his mind was on other things.

How many Soul Reapers were they going to meet? Would there be a different Soul Reaper each day or would some come back? What would they be like? How honest would they be?

"Gotta admit," Rangiku said with a smile, cutting Ben from his musing. "Having heard so much about you from Ken, there's so many things I want to ask you that I don't know where to start."

"Probably why I'm here in the first place?" Ben suggested. "Well that's because of that Thorn guy. According to Azmuth, he butts into other universes and he chose me to help stop Aizen."

"And he sent you to Aizen because…"

"Us," Harribel cut in. "Specifically Arrancar like Starrk and myself."

Rangiku blinked as she tapped her chin in thought. Ben waited for questions but the lieutenant remained silent. A concerned Orihime resumed pointing out the sights, occasionally looking over her shoulder at the Soul Reaper. This time, Ben did make a mental note, wondering if the other Soul Reapers would be invested in actually touring as Rangiku was.

"Why do you encourage them?"

Ben shook his head at Harribel's sudden question. She was raising a brow at Rangiku, who just smiled back playfully.

"What do you mean?"

"Flirting with them, giving them the impression that you're interested."

Ben was about to ask what she meant when he noticed that they were drawing a sizable amount of attention. While many of the townspeople were most likely surprised at their group in general, he noticed that several guys were staring slack-jawed and he had a feeling he knew why.

Rangiku waved a hand. "Oh, relax. Nothing wrong with getting guys a little flustered." With a giggle, she winked and smiled at the onlookers, causing several of them to clutch at their hearts as they fell backwards. Others were slumped like their legs were made of jelly, and soon looked like they were starting to drool.

"Besides," Rangiku put her hands on her hips, "If any of them try to get handsy, I'll handle it. These guys can look all they want but they can't touch."

"Are you deliberately baiting them then?" Harribel wondered.

"Nope, but hey, if you got it, flaunt it!" Rangiku put her arms behind her head and stretched, throwing her chest forward. Several of their onlookers let out cheers and whistles.

"I mean after all," the lieutenant went on, "As gorgeous as that little number you're wearing is, it's pretty tame compared to what you usually wear. Not that there's anything wrong with that, you got a figure to be proud of! Your boobs were probably as big as mine. Right now, I'd say you're as big as Orihime."

"Is this seriously happening right now?" Raven whispered to Victor. To make matters worse, Rangiku was now in front of Harribel, looking over her chest with a critical eye and cupping her chin. She then turned her head towards Orihime's chest, catching the girl by surprise.

"Mm-hmm," Rangiku nodded. "I'd say they're about the same size. Hey Ben—"

"Leave me out of this!" was his immediate response. "Better yet, can we change the subject?"

Rangiku pouted, hands on her hips again. "You're fun to tease but it's just not like Ichigo."

"Hey, you're making progress," Ken whispered with a grin.

Rangiku sighed and then tapped her cheek. "Oh well, guess I'll have to find some other way to tease you."

"Good luck," Ken whispered again.

"Shut up," Ben whispered back, which caused his alternate son to snicker.

"All jokes aside," Rangiku's expression became serious when she turned towards Harribel, "You've had bad experiences with men, haven't you?"

"Do you wish to talk about this now or should we return to Urahara's shop?" Harribel inquired.

"I'd like to talk just between us first," Rangiku replied. "I'll save the big stuff for when we're back at the shop."

"What do you wish to talk about first?" Harribel asked.

"Well for starters, why did you personally follow Aizen?"

Taking a breath, Harribel related to Rangiku the same thing she had told Ben. Everyone listened with rapt attention as the Third Espada talked about her life as a Vasto Lorde, forming her future Fraccione, meeting Aizen, and why she joined him.

"So that's why…" Rangiku stared at the ground. Orihime was looking at Harribel glumly.

"We all knew Aizen was a scumbag," Victor clenched his fists. "But that's going too far."

"I am so sorry, Tia Harribel," Kory said quietly.

"We all are," Megan added.

"Don't apologize," Harribel said to them. "I let my hope for peace get the better of me."

Rangiku ran a hand through her hair. "Sorry I had you bring that up."

"I am willing to be open with the Soul Reapers if they are willing to be open with us," Harribel said.

Rangiku nodded respectfully. "Of course. May I ask another question? This one's more for Ben."

"Of course,"

"What's up, Lieutenant?" Ben asked earnestly.

"I understand why you're here, but how did Aizen get you to help him?"

Now it was Ben's turn to take a breath as he shared his experiences with Rangiku, from when he had been sent to Hueco Mundo by Thorn, his trek to Las Noches, and his eventual encounter with Aizen in addition to everything the rogue Soul Reaper had told him. Rangiku's eyes got wider and wider as Ben's story progressed.

"And the whole point of the Spirit Fruits was so Hollows wouldn't need to eat each other or human souls," Ben concluded. "Then Soul Reapers wouldn't have to hunt them anymore."

"Ben, did Aizen ever tell you what happens when a Soul Reaper strikes down a Hollow with their Zanpakuto? Did you ever ask him?"

Ben cringed. "N-no, he never told me. I was so caught up in everything else going on that… I never asked."

"Really? Well, I think Aizen would have lied if you tried finding out anyway," Rangiku put her hands on her hips.

Harribel spoke up. "All we've known is that Soul Reapers hunt Hollows. Why? What makes a Soul Reaper's Zanpakuto different from any other death?"

Rangiku sighed. "Listen, Ben. When slain by a Soul Reaper's Zanpakuto, the Hollow undergoes a process called Sublimation."

"Sublimation?"

"It cleanses a Hollow of their sins, returns them to being a Plus, and then they get led to Soul Society."

"Wait, what?!" Ben's shout drew the attention of onlookers who quickly hurried on their way to avoid the screaming foreigner.

"I think it's time we went back to the shop," Ken said firmly as the atmosphere felt tense.

/

Any witty retorts died on Urahara's tongue the moment he saw the troubled expressions on several faces. With a little help from Paradox, the group were back once again in the Study Chamber, gathered around as Rangiku properly told Ben how the afterlife worked in this universe. Humans who died went to Soul Society and when they died in Soul Society, they reincarnated in the Living World: the Circle of Transmigration. She also added that most Souls don't feel hunger, with the exception of those with high Spiritual Pressure that were potential Soul Reapers. The revelation did little to lift everyone's mood and Rangiku knew it.

"So how does Hueco Mundo and Hollows fit into this circle?" Raven inquired, sitting cross-legged as she floated in midair. "Is it basically some kind of Purgatory until one is cleansed by a Zanpakuto?"

Rangiku tapped her chin. "Well, I guess you could see it like that."

"But if that's the case, how come you guys just don't go to Hueco Mundo and start purifying all the Hollows?" Connor wondered, hands in his pockets. If he was aware of Harribel narrowing her eyes at him, he didn't show it.

"It's the homeland of the Hollows," Rangiku said. "The only time we've ever planned something that drastic was when we were planning to invade Las Noches, and that was just to fight Aizen and the Espada."

"So what, you just let Hollows stay there until they go to the Living World?" Megan said, standing beside Connor. "Since your swords purify them anyway, you can do it at your own leisure?"

Rangiku's eyes widened at the implications. "It's not like that at all!"

"It does kind of give off that impression," Kory couldn't help but point out.

Orihime looked back and forth from Rangiku to Ben and the Titans, hands clasped together nervously. Tessai, Urahara, and Yoruichi were watching with unreadable expressions. Jinta had a brow raised while Ururu stared at the ground. Azmuth and Paradox appeared more patient while Thorn was tapping a nearby boulder.

"What about the Menos?" Ben finally spoke up. "What happens when they get cleansed? Do all the souls that make them up all become separated?"

"What of Arrancar?" Harribel interjected, arms folded. "What happens to us if we should be slain by a Zanpakuto?"

"Well, much like Hollows, Arrancar should be cleansed and sent to Soul Society as Pluses."

"Should be?" Harribel's eyes narrowed. "You don't know?"

"What, do you guys just dump souls into Soul Society and call it a day?" Victor asked with a frown.

Rangiku squirmed at this. "Well, when you put it like that—"

Ben's eyes widened. "Does that mean Nnoitra, Yammy, and the others are out in Soul Society somewhere? What if they try something?"

"Not impossible but at the same time, rather unlikely." It was Urahara who spoke up this time, the upper half of his face shadowed by his hat. "Very rarely do Souls remember their past lives. It's possible that the Arrancar won't remember their times as Hollows. Or they might have even gone to Hell."

"Hell exists here?" Raven asked sharply.

Rangiku nodded grimly. "When someone commits great sins in their lifetime, they get sent to Hell. This counts even if that Soul became a Hollow."

"How exactly does one judge these sins?" Kory wondered with a tilt of her head. There was no patronizing tone; she was genuinely curious.

Ranigku opened her mouth, paused, then clamped it shut again, a contemplative look on her face.

"You don't know that either?" Connor asked incredulously.

"It just happens whenever we perform a Konso on a Plus or slay a particularly evil Hollow," the Soul Reaper admitted. "The Gates of Hell appear and drag them into it."

"Think that Baraggan guy is in Hell?" Victor asked the others.

"He wasn't killed by a Zanpakuto," Raven reminded him. "I'm going to assume that nobody knows what happens to Hollows who aren't killed by one."

"Besides that," Connor said. "Either you become a monster in a place where it's eat or be eaten, or you might lose your memories and spend the rest of your life in some crime-infested slums. The only upside is that at least regular Souls don't go hungry."

"Though I'm guessing Soul Reapers have better living conditions."

"I'm not gonna lie, a lot of the districts are in need of improvement…"

"So why isn't something being done about them?" Ken asked, fingers interlocked as he sat on a large, flat rock. "I mean, I understand having to deal with the whole Aizen situation but other than that? Did the Central 46 just not care?"

"That I honestly don't know," Rangiku confessed, staring at the ground.

"It seems like Soul Reapers cared more about the balance of Souls and going after Hollows than the living conditions of the Souls themselves," Raven noted.

"Not that we're blaming you, Lieutenant Matsumoto," Ken said quickly. "It's just…"

Rangiku nodded empathetically. "This isn't how I expected our conversations to go but I'm honestly glad they did. I guess if we want peace with Hueco Mundo, we have to solve our own problems too."

Suddenly Harribel got up from the rock she was leaning on and made her way towards the ladder, startling everyone.

"Tia?" Ben called but the Third Espada gave no reply. "Tia, what's wrong?"

Harribel had a contemplative look on her face as she ascended and Ben couldn't tell if she was lost in thought, or just ignoring everyone. Ben was about to follow when Ken scooped him up and carried him up to the roof, phasing through it.

"Thanks," Ben said appreciatively when his feet touched the shop floor.

"No problem," Ken became intangible again and started sinking back down. "Good luck."

"I have a feeling I'm gonna need it," Ben said just as Ken's head disappeared from view. Harribel climbed out of the entrance, pausing when she saw that Ben was standing before her.

"Tia, what's wrong? You were really out of it back there."

"I apologize," Harribel lowered her head. "My mind was racing with everything I had learned."

"Don't apologize, I'm still trying to wrap my head around everything too. And kicking myself for really not trying harder to find out the truth."

"As the lieutenant said, Aizen most likely would've lied to you," As Harribel set herself upright, she stared at the floor, arms folded yet again.

"Do you want to talk about it?"

Harribel gazed up at him and not for the first time, Ben had to get used to the fact that their eyes were now at the same height.

"Yes," she said quietly. "Outside please."

Ben opened the door for her; the sun was slowly starting to set and there was a slight chill in the air. Harribel gazed up at the sky as he slowly shut the door behind them.

"So," Ben said awkwardly as he stood beside her, "A lot to take in, huh?"

Harribel closed her eyes. "Yes. A lot to take in."

Silence hung between them. Ben scratched his neck and kicked his leg as he wondered if Harribel was going to continue, or simply waiting for him to speak first.

"Lieutenant Matsumoto's words trouble me," Harribel went on. "Hollows in Hueco Mundo are left to fend for themselves yet if we manage to reach Soul Society, there is no guarantee that our lives will be better. Then there is the possibility of Hollows going to Hell. While the ones who suffer that fate no doubt deserve it…"

Harribel sighed, her expression forlorn. "It feels like we're damned no matter what."

"Well now that we're talking about this stuff, maybe things can change?"

"All it took were people from other universes," Harribel said sardonically, then stiffened. "I'm sorry for that."

"Don't be," Ben smiled encouragingly. "It's good to get your feelings out."

"Still," Harribel gazed back up at the sky, staring at the moon.

"So what do you want to do now?" Ben asked.

"I'm not sure," Harribel confessed. "There is no guarantee that Soul Society will improve, at least any time soon. Perhaps, we can not only try to prevent Hollows from feeding on each other, but improve life in general. If they are the souls overlooked by Soul Society, then the Espada can look over them. If the others will agree to it, that is."

"Well you've got my support, Tia," Ben smiled.

Harribel nodded appreciatively. "Thank you. It won't be easy since none of us have Szayel's knowledge, but perhaps Aizen left something behind that can help us."

"We'll be sure to check just in case when we get back. For now, we should go back inside."

Nodding again, Harribel followed Ben as he opened the door to the shop. Just as she was about to enter, Ben noticed her face. "Is something else wrong, Tia?"

"No, why do you ask?"

"Well, you still seemed bothered by something. I wanted to make sure everything was alright."

"No, everything is fine."

Ben frowned, unconvinced. "Well, how about a smile then?"

"A smile?"

"Yeah," Ben chuckled at the almost perplexed look upon his friend's face. "Come on, Tia. You can't tell me you've never smiled before."

His smile began to droop however when Harribel's gaze shifted to the ground. "Tia? You have smiled before, right?"

"Once—almost," Harribel closed her eyes. "I see. Don't worry, Ben. This is just my usual expression."

Ben's arms hung at his sides, his jaw dropped, and his eyes grew to the size of dinner plates.

"B-but, never smiled. Ever?"

"With all the dangers of Hueco Mundo, including some of the other Arrancar, I can't remember any other time I may have smiled. The closest feeling to happiness was being content that my Fraccione were happy."

As if Ben needed more bombshells dropped on him in one day. Harribel raised a brow at how stupefied the hero was. "It's not that important, Ben…"

"Not that important?! Tia—"

The shop door swung open, revealing a troubled Rangiku with a Soul Pager in her hand.

"Sorry for the wait," Ben started to say.

"I understand," Rangiku reassured him but held up the Soul Pager as her brow furrowed. "But I just got word from Soul Society; a Hollow has been detected in the area."

"What?!"

"Do you know the Hollow's location?" Harribel questioned the lieutenant.

Rangiku nodded. "How do you want to handle this?"

Harribel was the one gazing at the ground now, hands clenched onto her arms. Taking a breath, she looked Rangiku in the eye. "May we try to send the Hollow back to Hueco Mundo?"

Rangiku blinked at Harribel asking permission. "O-of course, we can do that. Now there's no guarantee that it will stay there, you know."

"I understand but I want to try," Harribel looked down at herself. "I need to get out of this gigai."

"Allow me!"

Before anyone could react, Urahara appeared beside Harribel and tapped her back with the end of his cane. Suddenly Harribel's real body materialized right beside her gigai as it started to fall. Ben shot forward, grabbing the gigai by the waist.

"A little warning next time!" he said to the grinning shop owner in annoyance.

"Don't you have a Hollow to worry about?" Urahara asked in a jovial tone as Yoruichi walked over and took the gigai from Ben.

Rolling his eyes, Ben activated the Ultimatrix and slammed the dial down.

"Alright," Big Chill said, turning to Rangiku. "Lead the way, Lieutenant."

Nodding, Rangiku took off into the air with Harribel and Big Chill right behind them.

"Hey, wait for me!"

The four turned to see Ken flying towards them.

"Ken? Is the rest of your team coming?"

"Nah, with the four of us we should be able to handle one Hollow," Ken said. "You probably don't really need my help but…"

"Well it's the thought that counts, so thanks for your help," Big Chill said gratefully before looking around. "So where is this Hollow?"

"Not too far from what I picked up through my Pesquisa," Harribel answered as she started moving forward. "This is a particularly weak Hollow. I wonder…"

"Something up?" Rangiku's hair swished in the wind as she looked at the Third Espada.

"While this Hollow may be acting on their own, it's possible some of the stronger Hollows sent it to scout ahead," Harribel narrowed her eyes at the thought.

"Think any of them have approached Las Noches yet?" Ken asked.

"Possibly," Harribel responded. "Starrk and Ulquiorra should be enough to at least intimidate any lurking about. For now at least."

"You think they'll try something even with two of the strongest Espada there?"

"There is always the possibility," Harribel said. "I honestly would not be surprised if—"

"There it is!" Rangiku shouted suddenly, bringing everyone to an abrupt halt.

Following her outstretched hand, the other three spotted the Hollow. It was a sizable Hollow, roughly the same size as Humungousaur. It had a long, serpentine body with two lanky arms and its mask resembled that of a crocodile. It was crouched in an alleyway and seemed to be cautiously looking to and fro.

Ken scratched his head. "What is it doing?"

"Maybe selecting prey?" Rangiku suggested before turning to Harribel again. With a nod, Harribel descended down into the alleyway. She landed directly behind the Hollow, who was too busy eyeing all the humans to notice her presence. She crossed her arms and spoke sharply.

"What are you doing?"

With a yelp, the Hollow spun around, claws raised. When they saw who addressed them, the Hollow paused.

"Y-you're not a Soul Reaper," it said in a deep, male voice. His arms lowered as he adjusted himself to get a better look at Harribel. "You're one of the Arrancar, aren't you?"

"Tia Harribel, the Third Espada," Harribel introduced herself crisply, earning another yelp from the reptilian Hollow as he reared back away from her as best he could.

"T-Third Espada?! W-what are you doing here?!"

"I believe I asked you first. Explain your presence here and I will explain mine."

"I was curious about what was going on!" The Hollow said frantically, his tail shifting from left to right. "Even from where I was, I could feel crazy stuff going on at Las Noches. The place was totaled and everything!"

"Oh? Then why did you come to the Living World instead of going to Las Noches?" Harribel raised a brow at how the Hollow flinched at her sharp question.

"Well," the Hollow wrung his hands, "Everyone thought that whatever happened had something to do with the Soul Reapers, like maybe–everyone–killed each other—"

"So you came to the Living World in hopes that there wouldn't be any Soul Reapers to stop you." It wasn't a question.

The Hollow's body was trembling and he seemed to be sweating. Above them, Matsumoto grabbed the hilt of her sword on reflex.

"Go back to Hueco Mundo," Harribel told him. "The war is over and Aizen, who was only using the Arrancar, has been defeated."

The Hollow's jaw dropped, revealing rows of knife-like teeth. "That Aizen guy lost? Wait, does that mean… you Arrancar lost?!"

"We are under a ceasefire," Harribel corrected. "And currently working on an alternative food source for Hollows. We just need a little more time."

"A ceasefire?" The Hollow repeated. "Alternate food source?"

"That's right. Hollows will no longer need to consume each other or humans."

"Oh really?" The Hollow asked with skepticism. "When?"

Harribel gazed down at the concrete. "We're still working on that."

The Hollow snorted, his fear evaporating. "Working on that. No, I think I know what's going on here. Ceasefire? Yeah right. You Arrrancar lost to the Soul Reapers and now they're having you go after us. How many of you Arrancar did the Soul Reapers kill? Did you actually kill any of them? Were you Arrancar really that weak?"

Harribel raised her head as the Hollow threw back his head and let out a bellowing laugh that went unnoticed by those not spiritually aware.

"She has more power in her pinkie than you do in your whole body," Big Chill said as he landed beside Harribel. When the Hollow ceased his laughter to take in this newcomer, his eyes landed on the Ultimatrix icon before the Necrofriggian's wings covered him.

"You!" The Hollow gasped, his body trembling. "The Shapeshifter."

"Oh, you've heard of me?"

"Who hasn't?!" He shouted back.

Big Chill let out a low chuckle that made the Hollow tremble even more. "Then you know it's a bad idea to disrespect my friend. Course, disrespecting one of the strongest Arrancars is pretty stupid anyway."

The Hollow was a quivering mess as the Necrofriggian started approaching him.

"P-please," he whimpered, "Don't hurt me."

"I'm not gonna hurt you," Big Chill said in a quiet tone that was meant to be soothing, yet his low voice did nothing to assuage the Hollow's fears. "But like Harribel said, return to Hueco Mundo."

"But…" the Hollow started to speak, causing the Necrofriggian to hold his arms out.

"I cannot imagine the hunger you're going through but we are working on a solution," Big Chill said soothingly. "If you want, we can show you."

Harribel stood beside him. "Ben, are you sure that's a good idea? We don't have enough fruits yet."

"I know," Big Chill replied. "But maybe showing the Hollows will convince them."

Above them, Rangiku waited in trepidation. Her grip slowly started to relax when she saw the Hollow wasn't making any sudden movements.

"Do you think this will work?" She whispered to Ken.

"Looks like it," Ken whispered back, his body ready to spring in case the Hollow chose to attack, however suicidal that may be.

"If those Spirit Fruits can work as a different food source," Rangiku pondered aloud. "At the same time, they make Hollows stronger. This will be–"

Her entire body froze up when the Hollow happened to look up during his musings and his eyes landed on her.

"Soul Reaper?!" He cried. "So that's it!"

"What are you–?" Big Chill started to ask when the Hollow pointed a quivering claw at Harribel.

"There is no ceasefire! There is no other food source! You Arrancar are selling us out to the Soul Reapers to save yourselves!"

"No, that's not true!" Rangiku urged. "Soul Society and Hueco Mundo are working together."

"Yeah, to hunt down Hollows!"

"We have proof!" Big Chill exclaimed. "If you'll just let us show you–"

"You won't trap me!" The Hollow screamed as he turned around. At first the group thought he was going to pounce upon a human until a Garganta opened. The Hollow hastily leaped and disappeared into the blackness within.

"Well," Big Chill said as the Garganta started closing. "We got him to return to Hueco Mundo."

"But he will no doubt tell whatever Hollows he can about what he thinks is the truth," Harribel pointed out as an ashamed Rangiku landed beside them.

"I'm sorry," she said sincerely. "If I had stayed out of view—"

"We don't know for certain if he would have listened," Harribel pointed out. "True, we could have taken him to Las Noches and showed him the fruits—"

"But there's still plenty of ways that could go bad," Ken finished, earning a nod from the Third Espada.

"Well, maybe some good can come of this," Rangiku spoke up. "If word spreads that we're working together, maybe that will keep Hollows from coming here."

"At the same time," Harribel said, her contemplative tone containing a hint of concern, "If other Hollows believe that we lost to the Soul Reapers, along with finding out how many of us are left, some of the more daring ones may try to attack Las Noches."

"Think we should go back?" Big Chill asked worriedly.

"I don't think we'll have to return immediately; Starrk and Ulquiorra should be able to protect Las Noches for now," Harribel rationalized. "Though when we return, we should consider future defenses. If the others managed to find Runuganga, that would make things easier."

Rangiku sighed as she rubbed the back of her head. "Things really got complicated, haven't they?"

Ken chuckled. "What did you expect?"

Rangiku gave a wry smile at this. "Fair enough."

"With that out of the way for now," Harribel turned around to face Rangiku, "Shall we return to the shop?"

Rangiku folded her own arms, head cocked to the side and a pout on her face. "As much as I would like to, I've already learned an awful lot that I should probably report to Soul Society for."

"You're going back to the Soul Society already?" Ken asked.

"Oh no no," Rangiku waved her hand. "I was gonna see if I could stay with Orihime again and make my report from there."

Big Chill was stupefied. "Wait, that's it? But we barely talked about the actual peace stuff."

"Maybe and I'll admit, there were a lot of other things I wanted to talk to you about," Rangiku said quietly, her eyes becoming downcast for a brief moment before she regained herself. "But seeing you trying to reason with that Hollow, knowing about you and your reasons, it's definitely a start."

"But will it be enough?" Harribel wondered.

"Like I said, it's a start at least," Rangiku admitted with a smile.

"I guess that will have to do for now," Big Chill unfolded his wings. "Shall we return to the shop?"

"Yes, let's."

/

"Welcome back!" Urahara greeted them genially as the quartet landed in front of his shop. He shielded his face with his fan as Ben appeared in a flash of green light. "So how did it go?"

"The Hollow didn't hurt anyone," Ben said, hands in his jacket's pockets. "But we tried to tell him about the Arrancar cooperating with Soul Reapers."

"And I take it the Hollow wasn't happy with this idea?" Urahara concluded.

"He thinks we've sold out other Hollows to save ourselves," Harribel spoke up with a shake of her head.

"Ah," Urahara waved his fan. "Yes, I can see some ramifications from that assumption."

"And we will be sure to take precautions," Harribel declared.

"For now though," Matsumoto stepped in, "We're gonna call it a night on the talks."

"Wait, really?"

The door to the shop opened and the Teen Titans began pouring out, accompanied by the staff, Orihime, Paradox, Thorn, and Azmuth.

"That's it?" Connor asked in disbelief. "You barely got to talk about anything."

"We know," was all Ben could think of.

"On the contrary, I think they've said enough for the first day," Paradox said warmly.

"Really? Victor asked with uncertainty.

"Have you ever seen ripples in water, Victor?" Paradox asked, a smile still on his face. "So small at first yet once they start, they grow larger and larger."

"And the events of today will be that ripple?" Harribel queried.

Paradox just continued smiling before pulling out his pocket watch. "Alright, Titans. It is time."

"Aww, must we leave now?" Starfire pouted, hands clasped. Orihime stood beside her, mimicking Starfire's actions.

"I wouldn't mind sticking around," Ken said empathetically. "But our universe needs us, Kory. If Paradox says it's time to go, then we need to go home."

"Just wish we could have helped more," Megan said, rubbing her arm.

"Ripples in the water, dear Megan," Paradox said. "It's not always about running at the speed of light, lifting up countless tons times your own weight, or even being able to walk through time and space. Sometimes, it's the little things that can make the biggest ripples."

Everyone seemed to be mulling over Paradox's words as a blue portal materialized before them.

"Well," Ken walked over to Ben, "This is goodbye, huh?"

"Yeah," Ben replied. "Kinda feels weird now that it's happening."

Ken smiled. "Still, it was cool teaming up with you. I really hope everything works out."

"Thanks, I hope so too."

Ken bowed to Harribel. "It was a pleasure to meet you, Miss Harribel. Could you say goodbye to your Fraccione and the others for us?"

Harribel returned the bow. "I will. Thank you, Ken. Thank you all, Teen Titans."

The others bowed respectfully.

"Goodbye, Tia Harribel." Kory said, looking melancholy. "I wish all my new friends luck with the Soul Society."

"We all hope so," Raven said, a small smile on her face.

"But hey," Victor gave them a thumbs up, "I know you guys got this."

"We believe in you," Megan said encouragingly.

"Thank you all," Harribel said, utterly touched.

"Goodbye, Orihime," Ken said to the orange haired girl.

"Goodbye, Ken," Orhime said wistfully. Then it was her turn to bow. "It was nice meeting all of you!"

"It was nice meeting you!" Kory went up to Orihime and hugged her, causing the girl to squeak. Ken was just about to remind his teammate to let go but the Tamaranean quickly released the healer, who rubbed her sides with a pained yet cheerful smile.

"Good luck in your own universe, Ken," Azmuth told him.

One by one, the Titans stepped into the portal, waving goodbye as Ben, Orihime, Yoruichi, Urahara, and the shop staff waved back.

"I shall accompany them back," Paradox told the others as he stepped before the portal. "See you soon."

The Time Walker followed the Titans into the portal, which disappeared in a flash.

"Ken was a nice guy," Rangiku smiled. "Pity I couldn't have gotten to know his team more but hey, his own universe needed him."

Ben was still staring at where the portal had just been. "It was pretty cool teaming up with my own son. Well, another me's son." He turned towards Rangiku. "So since you want to call it a night, I guess we'd better be heading back to Hueco Mundo."

"Looks like it," Rangiku admitted as she turned to Orihime. "Is it okay if I stay with you tonight, Orihime?"

The girl's face lit up. "Of course!"

Ben's eyes widened. "What about Ichigo?"

"I think it's best if he stays here in my shop," Urahara said. "His family might freak out if they saw him like this."

"Wait, what about his dad?" Ben wondered aloud. Then his mind went back to Isshin's arrival in the fake town. "The rest of the family don't know, do they?"

Urahara shook his head. "His sisters don't know and I think it would be best if Ichigo himself told them, once he feels ready to."

Ben nodded in agreement as Yoruichi stepped forward and held out a Soul Pager to him.

"I was given this before leaving Soul Society. Sorry, with everything else happening I forgot to tell you about it." She told him.

"It will take me time to work on the other communicator, you'll have to make do with the Soul Pager for right now."

Ben took the Pager from her hand, looking it over. Yep, it looked like an ordinary phone. Probably so Soul Reapers could better blend in with humans.

"Hey, how do I charge this thing? Last time I checked, Las Noches doesn't have any regular outlets."

"The Twelfth Division outfitted this Soul Pager with a stronger battery compared to regular ones," Yoruichi explained. "You can always charge it here whenever you visit. You'll be spending time with the other Soul Reapers who will have their own anyway."

"Good point," Ben said as he pocketed the pager.

"I know we didn't get to talk about much," Rangiku spoke up. "But, why don't you tell me what else you wanted to talk about? If they want me to switch with someone else, I can at least know what to tell them."

"Captain Kurotsuchi," Ben said, thinking. "The way he treats his lieutenant, I heard he turned his own men into bombs."

"He what?!" Rangiku screamed in absolute disgust.

"It-it's true."

Everyone turned to Orihime, who's expression had become haunted from the traumatic memories. "He used his own men like that, when we went to save Rukia. H-He wanted to experiment on me. After Ichigo managed to rescue Rukia and everything with Aizen, I forgot about that."

"And he made it clear he was interested in me and the Espada," Ben said. "Did the other captains know?"

Rangiku shook her head, eyes narrowed. "I don't think so. The Captain-Commander wouldn't approve of him doing that, especially to his own men. He wouldn't."

With Soul Society's track record, Ben wasn't so sure. Rangiku saw his doubt and let out a low breath, running a hand through her hair.

"At the same time," Harribel spoke up, "We Arrancar must be held accountable for our own actions. Regardless of my intentions, I was still willing to sacrifice this town's citizens to help Aizen. Many of the Espada were… tolerable at best and vile at worst, as I'm sure the ones who killed Yammy, Aaroniero, Zommari, Nnoitra, and Szayel can attest to."

Ben cringed as he remembered Szayel's death. He highly doubted Kurotsuchi cared about his enemy's morality.

"But that changes now," Harribel declared. "I will try to convince the other Espada to do what we can to bring proper order and stability to Hueco Mundo. I am well aware the odds are stacked against us, but I'm willing to try."

Rangiku stared at Harribel, the Soul Reaper gazing directly into the Arrancar's eyes. Ben and Orihime looked back and forth between the two, then shared a worried glance with each other. It looked like anything could happen, but then Rangiku smiled.

"It's funny," she said softly. "For so long, we just saw you Arrancar as the enemy, another threat."

"And we you," Harribel admitted.

"We knew you were intelligent, but the ones we first met would gladly kill anyone who stood in their way." Rangiku lowered her head. "We just…"

"Figured that we were all the same?" Harribel concluded, though there was no spite in her voice. Rather, it sounded more like resignation.

"He wondered what the man's name was and where he came from; and if he was really evil of heart, or what lies or threats had led him on the long march from home; and if he would rather have stayed there in peace." Paradox, who had returned without any warning or fanfare smiled as he strolled up to the shop pretty as you please, hands in his pockets as all eyes turned to him.

"From The Two Towers, Volume II of Tolkien's masterpiece, The Lord of the Rings."

"I didn't know you read fantasy books, Professor," Ben couldn't help but say, even as the words resonated within him.

Paradox chuckled. "Who says scientists can't enjoy fantasy?"

Rangiku and Harribel were mulling over the professor's words and the fact they were doing so made the professor's smile grow just a bit.

"That's a wonderful quote, Professor. I'll be sure to keep it in mind." Turning back to Harribel, Rangiku said, "I'll let Soul Society know you guys seriously want to bring order to Hueco Mundo. I-I will tell them your thoughts about the Rukongai but I'll be honest with you, I don't know if anything will get better. Or change at all. Especially since I think Soul Society will be more interested in whether you can handle the Hollows."

"I understand," Harribel responded quietly.

"But hey!" Rangiku added encouragingly. "We can still hope for the best, right? What's that old saying? Hope springs eternal?"

"We can at least hope," Harribel agreed. "So, is there anything else you wish to talk about? I remember you said there were things you wanted to discuss."

Rangiku became melancholic for a moment before quickly shaking her head. "That can wait. I'll try to see if I can visit again."

"Are you sure?" Ben pressed.

"I am. With everything else going on, those other questions can wait."

"If you say so," Ben relented before turning towards Tia. "Guess we should be heading back?"

"I think now would be a good time," Harribel responded before facing Azmuth, Paradox, and Thorn. "Will you be coming with us?"

"I'll stay here in Karakura Town," Azmuth said. "That way I can continue my discussions with Urahara here."

"Thorn and I have business elsewhere," Paradox said, raising a hand when Ben was about to speak up. "But we will be here when you need us. And trust me, Ben, I'll know when you need us."

"Don't worry about your gigai," Yoruichi said to Harribel. "We'll keep it safe here. Not to mention find you some more clothes."

"That's a great idea!" Rangiku suddenly exclaimed, fist in her palm. "Next time let's go on a shopping spree! I've been meaning to restock my wardrobe anyway. I already know some really cute designs I want to get."

"A shopping spree?" Harribel repeated doubtfully.

"Come on, Tia," Rangiku said warmly. "You Arrancar could spruce up Las Noches with some new clothing too. I already know some clothes that would look great on you. Ben can carry the bags."

"Hey, wait a minute! Why am I getting dragged into this?"

Rangiku cupped her chin as she stepped closer to Harribel, who tilted her head in bafflement at what the lieutenant could be doing. Then Rangiku lowered her eyes.

"Hmm, I think my chest might be just a little bit bigger than yours."

"You're seriously still on about that?" Ben asked incredulously, causing Rangiku to grin at him as he smacked his forehead.

"Now that's more of an Ichigo response. There's hope for you yet."

Ben grumbled as he ran a hand down his face. Orihime, Rangiku, Yoruichi, and Urahara all laughed.

"Alright," Rangiku said, her body still shaking from laughter. "I won't keep you guys any longer."

Harribel turned around and opened a Garganta.

"Bye, Ben!" Orihime waved. "See you tomorrow!"

"See you tomorrow, Orihime!" Ben waved back. "See you all tomorrow!"

As everyone waved goodbye, Ben followed Harribel into the Garganta.

Once the gigai disappeared from view, Rangiku's face slowly changed to worry.

"What's wrong, Rangiku?" Orihime asked.

The lieutenant scratched her head. "Just wondering how the captains will react to this when I make my report."

/

"So," Ben said as he and Harribel trekked through the void of the Garganta. "What a day, huh?"

Harribel nodded. "It has been, yes."

Ben put his hands behind his head. "All the same, this makes me more motivated than ever."

"There's a lot of things we need to cover," Harribel pointed out. "I'm not even sure where to start."

"We'll tell the others what happened in town and then we'll go from there," Ben figured.

"That works, though it might be better if we get some rest first before considering our future plans."

"Will you be going with me tomorrow, Tia?"

"I might let one of the others go instead," Harribel figured.

"Fair enough. Wonder if anyone will volunteer?"

"We'll just have to wait and see."

The two continued moving through the Garganta in silence, Ben still thinking about what had transpired. He cast a glance at Harribel, wondering what thoughts were going through her head. With her face covered up once more, it was hard to tell.

Ben snapped his fingers. "That reminds me!"

"Hmm?"

Ben licked his lips. "You said earlier that your happiness wasn't important but there's a lot of people who'd disagree with you."

"Ben, what–?"

Ben smiled at her as he started walking ahead. "Sure there's nothing wrong with being content, but you still deserve to be happy too, Tia."

Harribel froze. "Ben–"

Ben gave her a thumbs-up. "So that's why I'm gonna do everything I can to make Hueco Mundo the place you want it to be. I can't think of a better way for you to smile."

Harribel stared as Ben continued walking, her mind still processing what Ben had said. She was completely unaware that she had stopped. Hastily she put those thoughts aside and quickly pursued him. She would have time to think about such things later.

/

"Ben!"

The Garganta had opened right in the throne room of Las Noches, and no sooner had the two stepped through when a speeding missile in the form of Lilynette slammed right into Ben's stomach.

"Oof!" Ben cried as he fell to the ground. His stomach, which was still sore from what Yoruichi had hit him, was now smarting even worse. "Whyyyyyyyyy?!"

"Take it easy, Lilynette," Starrk said as he stood beside the two, his other half practically clamped onto Ben. "You act like he was gone for years."

"It sure felt like it."

Rolling his eyes, Starrk grabbed the two with both hands and hoisted them up to their feet.

"Lady Harribel!" Apacci called as she, Mila Rose, and Sung-Sun gathered around their leader as the Garganta closed.

"What happened?" Mila Rose asked. "Did everything work out?"

"We should gather everyone together," Harribel said firmly. "We have much to talk about."

/

"And you are certain?"

"Yes! I swear I'm telling the truth! The Arrancar sold us out to the Soul Reapers because their leader lost!"

Far away from Las Noches, trouble was brewing. The crocodilian Hollow was surrounded by other Hollows that effortlessly towered over him. One, which resembled a grotesque mole, scratched his stomach.

"Heh, not surprised. Once a Soul Reaper lackey, always a Soul Reaper lackey."

"I heard Soul Reapers attacked Las Noches and killed a bunch of them. They ain't so tough!" A muscular, humanoid Hollow with the antlers of a moose said condescendingly.

"Do you know how many are still alive?" A Hollow with a large, arachnid-like body demanded.

"O-only the Third Espada, Tia Harribel."

A horse-headed Hollow scoffed. "A female, eh? I forgot the last time I ate one of those."

"A-and she was with the Shapeshifter."

"What?"

All the Hollows turned as one as an all-too familiar jackal Vasto Lorde stepped into view. The crocodile Hollow trembled as the Vasto Lorde got closer and closer to him.

"The Shapeshifter?" The Jackal struck the other Hollow in the arm, digging his claw into flesh. "You saw him?"

"Yes, with my own eyes!" Wailed the other. "I saw the symbol! It was him! He was going on about an alternate food source! Some kind of fruit! But I knew it was a trap! They just wanted me to let my guard down so that the Soul Reaper with them could kill me."

The Jackal released him, causing the other Hollow to clutch his bleeding limb. "The Shapeshifter. Long have I waited to make him suffer for what he did to me. I will have my revenge and kill those pathetic Arrancar for serving Soul Reapers. Las Noches is in ruins and the Arrancar have lost many fighters. We should prepare to attack."

The other Hollows looked at each other in shock.

"B-but we don't know which Arrancar are still alive," the mole Hollow pointed out.

The Jackal grinned, showing off his rows of teeth. "Then we will get as close as we can to Las Noches and find out. Once we are certain of their numbers and strength, we attack."

"Us?" A porcupine-esquire Hollow inquired.

The Jackal shook his head. "Not just us, we will gather the largest force possible. We will bring the full force of Hueco Mundo down on them."

"Ah, then why not allow us to assist?"

All present turned at this new voice and soon the air was filled with killer intent when Patros, Menis, and Aldegor approached them.

"Arrancar?!" The Jackal snarled, claws raised. "What are you doing here, traitors?"

Patros raised his hand. "Wait. If anyone is a traitor, it's those Arrancar who chose to aid Soul Society. My colleagues and I despised serving under Aizen. It disgusts us to know the other Arrancar would have the audacity to work alongside more Soul Reapers."

"We share common enemies," Menis added, earning the Jackal's interest. "Those traitors… and the Shapeshifter."

"You know of him?" The Jackal pressed.

Aldegor nodded. "We do. He's actually a human by the name of Ben Tennyson."

"A human?!" The Jackal bellowed. The other Hollows murmured amongst themselves at this revelation.

"He wields a gauntlet called the Ultmatrix," Patros informed the others. "Szayel wouldn't shut up about it."

"It's the source of his power," Menis added.

"The Shapeshifter's power comes from an object," the Jackal mused as he stroked his chin, his nasty grin returning and widening.

"Out of the Espada, Yammy, Aaroniero, Szayel, Zommari, and Nnoitra are dead," Patros informed them. "Harribel is alive and Ulquiorra was last time I saw him. I don't know about Grimmjow, Baraggan, or Starrk."

"So at least half the Espada are dead," said a Hollow who resembled a pufferfish.

"But if the others are still alive too?"

"That's what we will find out," the Jackal said before looking Patros in the eye. "What's in it for you helping us?"

"Hueco Mundo belongs to Hollows," Patros explained. "We never forgot that."

"Nice to know there are Arrancar with good sense," the mole Hollow chuckled.

"Something else you should know," Aledegor spoke up. "That alternate food source? It's real."

"What?!"

"Apparently Tennyson worked with Szayel to create fruits that make the eater stronger," Menis said. "It's in an oasis in the heart of Las Noches."

"They were telling the truth," the crocodile Hollow mumbled to himself, overlooked by the others.

"Fruits that make you stronger, eh?" The Jackal chuckled. "Well now, why should those traitors get such things? When we attack Las Noches, we will kill them and claim both the fruit and Las Noches for ourselves!

"But what about the Soul Reapers?"

"When we have the fruits for ourselves, we'll be strong enough to take on even the Soul Reapers!"

As the other Hollows began making their plans, they were unaware of the crocodile Hollow slinking away. He feared someone would notice his absence but it seemed they were so riled up they either didn't notice or didn't care. Once he plucked up the courage, he slithered faster and faster. It was bad enough when those Hollows forced him to go check out the Living World, so he didn't want to be anywhere near them.

"The fruits were real," he murmured to himself. If that was the case…

He jerked to a halt when he felt a sudden weight on his tail, the abruptness causing him to fall face-first into the sand. Hacking, sputtering, and furiously trying to brush the sand off his face, the Hollow turned to see what had stopped him.

"Yo."

The Hollow let out a whimper, trembling as Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez grinned viciously at him, digging his foot into the Hollow's tail.

"Looks like there's a lot of commotion going on. Mind filling me in?"

End of Chapter

Yeah again, my future chapters will not be nearly as long. I don't plan on them doing so. Main reason this chapter was so long was because everyone had already waited so long for the next chapter.

Well, while Pyromania and Vandenbz were working on the proofreading, I got caught up in more crazy work drama:

1. One night manager was let go because she pretty much didn't want to do her job.

2. Another night manager quit because the day managers were dumping all the work on her and she was fed up.

3. One of the day managers quit because she didn't want to switch to nights, even if it was to train a new manager.

4. Another was fired for being rude and disrespectful to her superiors. (She was supposed to run the register but instead went to go clean dishes) She then had the audacity to call HR but backed down when asked to prove that she was somehow the victim.

5. We do have a new manager who is actually very capable but even he is getting annoyed with the antics of some workers and customers.

6. We were supposed to have another manager but she never showed up for her first day.

7. A new guy applied to work for us but eventually he decided to go work somewhere else.

8. Another one of our closers was fired for constantly calling in late every other day. His latest reason was because his family members were using his car out of town, only for us to be told that his family has multiple cars. The higher ups were tired of this so he was taken off the schedule.

You're all probably wondering what I'm still doing at this crazy job. Sometimes I wonder about that myself. I could think of a variety of reasons but what matters is that I'm gonna be working on finally leaving that job and hopefully find a new one.

Now, Pyromania101 had made a very valid point after he was done proofreading. While Hollows are indeed victims, the majority are inherently violent and vile beings. Soul Society may have a lot of problems but there's still plenty of stuff they are right about. This will be addressed in the future chapters.

Incidentally, with the holidays coming up, I remember a book I read a year ago; The Hogfather from the late Sir Terry Pratchett's Discworld series. It's an affectionate satire series that likes to poke good humored fun at classic fantasy and fairytale elements. It's funny, thought provoking, and the characters are delightful. I highly recommend it to readers. They have some audiobook recordings on Youtube in case anyone wants to listen.

That's all I can really think of at the moment. See everyone in the next chapter. Take care!
