Chapter 7: Traitors, Choices, and Digimon:
Demiyah woke up and all through her day she was quiet. Only speaking up if directly spoken to. She had a lot on her mind and her entire Social Circle knew it. Calamity and Yakko she talked to the most about it. Because Calamity was being trained to become Kamen Rider Mystic the Kamen Rider for the Mystic Realm and Demiyah's loyal Knight. Yakko was training to become a Ranger. Everyone at school knew that. They didn't know what team or color. Things like that were usually highly classified. Kelvin while not a hero did know a lot more than most civvies. He was the guy behind the screen for Demiyah and her personal contact list. Something she rarely if ever gave out. She didn't talk about why. Everyone just assumed she had her reasons. After school she ran directly to D.E.R.U to talk to Mikey. Irep right behind her as he went as opposed to Peri that day. It was decided they would take turns Monday through Thursday and both go on Friday. Peri was meeting them there. Demiyah had this bad feeling since she woke up that morning. According to Tommy, Demiyah's natural magic granted her a higher level of awareness about the World around her. That was vexxing to the Anti-Fairy as well as his beloved Peri. The violet haired and eyed fairy met them at the enterence wearing a purple jacket a white shirt, jeans, and purple sneakers. It was strange seeing him in casual clothes after seeing him dress formally almost every day. Demiyah shuddered as they went in passing a guy with blonde hair and blue eyes. His badge said Jordan but something told her that wasn't Jordan.
While talking to Mikey about the massive progress they made in only a day, Demiyah's own natural powers shuddered making her shiver. "Something isn't right here." Making Mikey look at her seriously. He knew Demiyah didn't get like that often, but when she did it was best to act on it. "How so Demiyah?" Peri and Irep looked at their daughter/charge confused until Demiyah said, "Every instinct I have is telling me Jordan, the blonde guy who supposedly works in records, isn't the real Jordan. My Dino spirit is roaring that somethings wrong." Mikey hit the come to call Garrett.
Garrett it's Micheal.

I need you and Clay to subdue Jordan. Demiyah's Dino Spirit is roaring at her about him. Not to mention her instincts involving certain types of people have been screaming at her since she walked into the building.
Her instincts are rarely if ever wrong. If only out of survival needs. Where is he currently? He hasn't been in records since this morning.
Find him then call in SPD. We may have either a traitor, spy, or imposter in the building. Activate Shadow Protocol if need be.

Irep asked, "Shadow Protocol what is that for?" Mikey sighed, "Shadow Protocol means tranqs like how we had to subdue Shadow the Hedgehog eight months ago when Eggman used him while under mind control to attack Reefside. Eggman is vexxed we revealed his plans using his brother Doctor Robotnic's identity. Even more so with Julian's daughter Maria Robotnic." Peri paled at the implications. He asked, "What could he have gained from someone who worked in records?" Demiyah thought about it for a moment before it clicked. She was on her phone in a second. "Come on come on pick up... Ben it's Demiyah I need a huge favor man. Can you and your team pick up the Morphin Marauder morphers from Gosei and act as a guard for Hazel and Dev? I know for a fact DATS has been interested in them for a while based on what Katie, Penny, and I hacked from their systems. You can? Great thanks a lot. Talk to you later. Bye."
Peri, Irep, Mikey, and Timmy who heard her side of the conversation put together why she was panicking. Dev and Hazel were Digidestineds. This wasn't some competition, but DATS a terrorist organization who faked being Digital World Police. Because in the eyes of DATS, anyone not their agents were criminals. It didn't matter who they were. Male, female, genderfluid, non binary, gay, straight, or bi. If they had a digimon and weren't DATS they were criminals.
'Jordan' had been found, bound, and gagged by Garrett and Clay. Clay being of course Clay Timberwood. He was physically 18 years old and Floyd's older brother. He wore a DERU issue uniform jacket and pants, a yellow shirt, yellow sneakers, and a strange device hung on his belt. No one but Demiyah knew what it was. Of course Clay wasn't talking either. Clay wanted answers himself. He had heard Branch, Poppy, and Viva were there in the Eltar System. Which was bad. Very very bad. Cause last the intel division said, the three had DATS uniforms and Data Links.
It took some time but they were able to deduce that 'Jordan' was actually Ricky an American DATS agent. They gave Veritaserum and he sang like a canary. Plans, what was taken, the intentions for records and the like, and what the long term plan was for everything they had stolen. Timmy actually recognized him. He had told Demiyah and Peri about when he tried to get Vicky a boyfriend so he could have a decent babysitter from time to time. It blew up in his face sadly. Demiyah patting his arm in sympathy knowing what a menace that woman was. Peri was listening in to the interrogation and being horrified at some of the things admitted to. For one Harley Sawyer may have Ordered the Smiling Critter serum made but it was Ricky himself that was the chemist who Made the serum. He also hacked several government and Ranger databases for names and profiles to create the perfect list of candidates for every Smiling Critter. In fact, he himself personally captured, tortured, and injected Demiyah having wanted her from the beginning.
He had stolen her DNA for something he called 'Project D-2' Before handing her over to Damien Bender. Who cackled at the chance to force braces of the caliber he was given on her. But not before he had fun. Demiyah spent three weeks undergoing a special potions regimen to undo what Bender did. Drilled seven teeth to the pulp no painkillers, and with pain enhancing drugs that Ricky provided painfully yanked out another eight teeth. The Head Tooth Fairy of Fairy World Thalia went near rage at what Bender did. Demiyah was in for a very miserable two weeks after that. Effectively her body had to undergo a ritual to rewind the damage. Her recovery took two weeks and she was throwing up a lot to get the dangerous chemicals and what not out of her system. What little food she kept down was metabolized fast. On top of having to be in a wheelchair for two months. Since he had shattered the bones in her left leg to the point her accelerated healing couldn't fix it. So she had to regrow her bones in spurts.
Peri was half tempted to burst in there and beat Ricky black and blue. He knew he couldn't though since the Rangers had to have the appearance of being fair. Especially in a criminal case. So therefor, he had to wait. As much as he hated it otherwise. Irep was also holding himself back. As the more Ricky revealed the more the Anti-Fairy was furious! All that and for what, a Master who might not even look your way? At least by working for the Rangers he was being told honestly what missions were!
Peri once Ricky was taken to Nightmare Island Penitenitary asked, "What happened to Damien Bender?" Demiyah said, "I don't know. I'm not the one who dealt with the case." Tommy growling, "Because Playtime Co. was on a technicality a civilian company the civvie courts took one look at the case and because Bender had blackmail on all of them threw the case out. However, we Rangers are watching like hawks. One misstep and King Tyranno comes out to play." Peri asking in confusion, "Who's King Tyranno and why does he sound Worse than Lord Drakkon?" Jason who was passing by revealed, "In some Shattered Grid realities, Rita stole the Tyrannosaurus coin not the Dragon Coin. In those universes exists King Tyranno who is an evil version of me. He combined the Red Tyrannosaurus coin with Earth's Gold Zeo Shard. And He enslaved most of the Mighty Morphin Team as his team of Ranger Slayers. In those realities Tommy had to activate the Dino Thunder team." Peri saying, "But Demiyah, Denki, Takuya, and Tyson have the Pink, Green, Orange, and Silver Dino Gems. They would have been really little or even babies. How did the team manage?" Denki who walked over answered that. "King Tyranno forced Aging potions down our counterparts throats. Intending to use them to steal those Dino Gems. However, Demiyah's counterpart was able to fight off King Tyranno so they could escape. As far as we know, the type of Aging potion used had no counteragent. Meaning until King Tyranno's forces are defeated their stuck at their current ages."
Peri growls but accepts the explanation, fury plain on his face. He takes a few deep breaths to calm himself down so he could visit Hazel and Dev. It takes a few minutes but it happens so he's able to quell both his temper and raging magic. Peri and Irep walked down the hall with Demiyah and saw Ben in the Red Morphin Marauder Ranger suit. The pair gave him a respectful nod before walking in the room. Peri's eyes soften as he sees Dev sleeping and Hazel reading a book. She lets Peri sit on the edge of her hospital bed and read to her making her doze off too. Irep chuckled softly, "If only Fairy Birth wasn't banned. You would be an amazing father dearest." Peri laughed softly, "We already have amazing children. Demiyah, Dev, and their siblings. We still have to get to know each of them. So it will take some time. But once all the legal stuff is taken care of we are their fathers just as much if not more so in Dev's case as their birth fathers. Dale never deserved the title 'Father' at any point what so ever." Unseen by Peri or Irep, Dev had a small smile on his face.
Demiyah in the Alpha Operations lab tracked Salamon and Luxmon from one of the computers connected to the Digital Dive down to File Island along with Wormmon and Veemon. She was hesitant to use the Digital Dive to bring them to the Real World. Cause she noticed they were with several other digimon which makes her realize Tyson's time as a Leader is fast approaching. She knew Persephone had changed Destiny. What she hadn't known was she changed the Activation Order of the Digidestined.
Little did Demiyah know that was the least of the problem. But she wouldn't know more for another week and a half.
