"Cheer up, Kitty," Ladybug told Cat as they kneaded dough balls in the back kitchen of the bakery. "Papa is giving us ice cream money for helping." Poor Tom Dupain had a nasty toothache, so Ladybug and Cat had stepped in to help.
"I don't mind, Bugaboo. As long as we're together, I'm happy as a clam."
Ladybug sighed happily, she loved the scent of yeast and dough, mingled with fresh smell of brewed coffee and sweets from the front of the shop. "Maybe you'll carry on Papa's footsteps and take over the bakery someday," Ladybug suggested. Cat smiled.
"As nice as that sounds, I'm whisking you away to an island and help with the kids," Cat said. Ladybug paused, brushing a streak of flour from her forehead. "Do you think we'll miss Paris, miss being superheroes?"
"That's only natural, love. Everyone you love is here, and it takes time to adjust. As for being heroes, the world needs us, fighting akuma or not." "I guess I didn't think about that way," Ladybug replied, glad for her partners insight.
Cat took two pieces of bread holding them to his cheeks, like they had seen with the memes. "Look at me, I'm cute!"
Ladybug laughed, her cheeks turning quite pink. "Your such a dork, but a cute one!" "My love, should you be calling me a cat loaf?"
A ding had Ladybug reaching for her phone. "Mama will be taking over in five. Ready for ice cream?" Cat nodded eagerly. Cat wasn't one to "loaf" around, especially when there was ice cream!
