Episode 6: Harmony And Dizchord

It was early morning, and Troy and Jake were running through the forest. Jake was training for the upcoming Harwood County Tournament, and Troy decided to join him and practice his routine, this time with a friend. Noah was at home; they had called him, but Noah was in the middle of a project related to solar light and wanted to be there when the sun came out to test a theory, so he decided not to go.

The result was Troy and Jake having some time alone, which they both were happy to have since they hadn't been able to talk alone in some time.

"So, you and Gia…" said Troy.

"We are friends, and that's all we will be for now," said Jake, running with Troy through the forest. "She cares about me, and that's all I care about."

"You only care about that, but I can see in your face you are not happy," said Troy.

"I love her, Troy, that hasn't changed, but she is not ready or… I don't know, even if she was, that doesn't mean it has to be me," admitted Jake. "Look, I want her to be happy, and if this is her choice, I respect her."

Troy nodded. He admired that Jake acted so mature now, knowing that normally he spent his time playing around with his ball or making innocent jokes. He was practically the clown of the class, and while it was fun for others, Troy was starting to think that all that was nothing but an act to keep him away from his pain.

"How are you doing with your dream?" asked Jake, getting Troy out of his thoughts.

"I'm not sure… Adam said it is normal. Tommy thinks it may be a premonition," said Troy, looking down. "I just feel something is going to happen there."

Jake was about to say something when he and Troy saw Emma riding her BMX through the forest. They tried to catch her attention, but Emma didn't see them and continued her path without acknowledging them.

"Where is she going?" asked Troy.

"I don't know, but you should go and check," said Jake, looking at his watch. "Dad and Uncle Tommy will ground me forever if I miss their training session."

"Yeah, don't worry," said Troy. "Go and thank you; it's good to have someone to talk to."

"Any time, Troy."

Troy nodded, and after saying goodbye, he saw Jake leaving. He then turned to look for Emma, whom he found sitting down in a beautiful clearing, surrounded by flowers. Her melodic voice not only amazed Troy, but he could see how the flowers seemed to come to life with it.

Troy couldn't stop the smile on his face while he looked at her, and his heart skipped a beat, seeing the wind caress her hair with tenderness.

It was such a beautiful and peaceful moment that, for a second, Troy forgot all his problems while he sat there and heard Emma's voice, calming the burning dragon in his chest.

In Space

"I should infiltrate."

"Ah, no, you shouldn't, and I don't want to have to tell your wife you went on another suicide mission. It's dangerous enough we stay as close as we are now."

"But Zhane, this may be the only chance to…"

Before Andros could finish, Zhane activated the screen, and Ashley and Karone's faces appeared in front of them. Not far from them, Cassie, TJ, and Carlos were present too. None of them looked happy, but Andros' focus was on the betrayed look he sent to Zhane.

"Sorry, I made a promise to call if you started acting this way," said Zhane. "I know what you want to do, Andros, but we are not young anymore. This time if we get hit, it's more than a few days of rest."

"I can handle it," said Andros.

"No, you can't. None of us can," said Zhane. "The kids can do it; they were chosen to do it. Our job as veterans is to collect the information and let them do their job."

"But I could fix it if I get to that ship and…"

"Andros."

Ashley's voice was the only thing Andros would obey without any pressure. When she called his name, he turned around, towards her, slowly, and knew the battle was lost even before it started because he could never fight with Ashley.

"Hear me out, love," said Ashley. "I know what you are feeling. Cassie and I are going back and forth between Angel Grove and Harwood County to help the new generation, same as TJ and Carlos are doing. But we have seen them fight, babe. They can do this. Jake can do this."

"I know… I…" said Andros, frustrated. "I'm worried. I have never been in a position where I can't help in the fight, and my nephew is one of those Rangers."

"But you are helping, Andros. You are there, close to the enemy and only covered by invisible technology. You are seeing and hearing what they do and passing the information to the Rangers so they can save the city," said Ashley. "You are protecting Harwood County and the Rangers by doing that, so I would prefer you don't go on an infiltration mission where you may be discovered and killed, leaving me and our daughter without you."

Andros looked down. For a second, the natural feeling of being alone overwhelmed him until his wife made him remember he did have things to come back to. Her and their daughter, and that was enough to change his plans.

He wanted to be there for her. He wanted to be the father and the husband more than the warrior.

"You are right, Ash. I'm sorry, I was insensitive," said Andros sincerely. He then looked at his Rangers and his sister. "I apologize to you all too. I know I wasn't thinking clearly."

"Forgiven, but please, tell me you have been thinking about what I said," said Zhane, getting the attention of the team.

"I did, and I think you are right," said Andros, looking at the team with a smile. "Zhane and I plan to go back to KO-35 soon and retrieve the devices you and Justin worked on, Karone. It should give us a better lecture on the situation, and from there, I can still track some of the movement on that ship."

"That's a great idea. We will be waiting here with the devices," said Karone.

"Then we are going to Earth. If the devices work, we should be able to see what is happening from any location," said Andros. "I could go back to my family and team… and Zhane too, I guess."

"Jeez, thanks," whispered Zhane, rolling his eyes with a smile.

"Thank you," said Ashley.

Andros walked to the screen and touched it around the position of his wife's face with a small smile, thankful to have her in his life.

"No, thank you for reminding me where I should be," said Andros. "You are always saving my soul."

Ashley smiled, blushing while their friends made kissing faces, even Karone.

"DECA, please set course to KO-35 before I get an overdose of sweetness," said Zhane. "We will be home soon, Karone."

"About time I get to see my husband," said Karone.

"Then if you want, you can come to Earth with…"

Before Andros could finish the sentence, they heard the alarm of the ship going off. They quickly typed on the keyboard to activate a screen where they could see the enemy ship sending a new monster to Earth.

"Love, go and tell the Rangers something is going to Earth," said Andros. "We will be there as soon as possible."

The call ended, and Andros directed his ship to KO-35, hoping to get back home as soon as possible to help not only his family but the new Rangers too.

Forest

Troy was so lost in Emma's voice that he didn't notice when she finished and walked towards him, sitting beside him, and waiting for him to open his eyes to offer a sweet smile.

"Hey, were you here for long?" asked Emma.

"Not really. I was with Jake, training when we saw you," explained Troy. "You didn't hear us when we tried to get your attention, so Jake left for his training session with his dad and uncle, and I came to find you."

"I see…" said Emma, looking down and touching a flower.

Troy looked at her, and he didn't know what it was, but something about her made him warm and full of peace. She managed to touch something in his soul like no one did before, and now, Troy couldn't stop looking at her.

Troy blushed and looked away. Is this what Jake felt around Gia? He didn't know for sure, but if it was, Troy understood now why Jake acted the way he did around Gia.

He seemed like a fool too, trying to find the words to tell Emma.

"Your voice is… beautiful," said Troy.

"Thank you. It makes me connect more with nature," said Emma, looking around her. "This world has so many things that need to be protected, not only the people but the animals and nature, and that is what I was trying to do even before I became a Ranger."

"I understand why. This place is magical," said Troy.

Emma nodded, raising her head to meet his eyes. It was strange to feel this attraction now that they were alone. Maybe it was always there, and she was just feeling it, or maybe the moment was making it all more intense. In any case, she felt like she could just move a little and…

They didn't have a chance to see where that attraction could go when their morphers went off, and Troy moved to grab his, breaking the moment.

"Monster in the forest!"

Gosei was saying something else, but Troy and Emma didn't hear it when a horrible sound invaded their senses. The sound was too loud, and they felt like their senses were going to explode. Troy looked up to see Emma suffering and did his best to cover her with his arms while he looked at his morpher on the ground and screamed as loud as he could to Gosei.

"We can't hear you, Gosei! Please send the others! We can't…! Ah!"

Troy felt a piercing pain in his head before he fell to the ground. Near him, Emma fell too, her eyes closing as she tried to locate the monster with no luck before her world went black.

Command Center – Training Room

Jake was finishing his training with his dad and his Uncle Tommy when his morpher went off. Not far from where he was, he could hear Gia's and Noah's morphers going off, and that meant there was a monster somewhere in the city.

He confirmed his theory when, a few seconds later, Noah and Gia appeared in the training room.

"There is an attack. We need to go," said Noah.

"One second…" said Jake, blocking an attack from behind his Uncle without looking at him.

"I see you are ready," said Tommy, smiling. "Go. We will finish this later."

Jake looked over his shoulder and nodded. Then, he ran to his friends, and together, they transformed, leaving the Command Center while Tommy looked at them with his arms crossed and shook his head.

"Ah… kids these days…" whispered Tommy.

Then, he felt a movement in the air and blocked a kick from Jason. Tommy pushed Jason away, and the Ranger smiled, warming up while he looked at his friend, raising a challenge.

"Oh, you want a training session, Jase?" asked Tommy.

"It will keep my mind clear while I wait for my son and his friends," said Jason. "Besides, when was the last time I kicked your ass?"

"Never, Tyranno," said Tommy, smiling while getting in position. "Get ready."

Forest

By the time Blue, Black, and Yellow got to the forest, all they could see were people screaming in pain or unconscious on the ground. They ran, following the trail until they found a clearing and two people unconscious—Troy and Emma.

Yellow quickly ran towards her best friend and put her in her arms before looking up at her teammates.

"They are unconscious," said Yellow.

The sound of horrible music made them wince in pain, but they refused to give in and focused on their friends. Blue and Yellow grabbed Troy and Emma, and Black stood there, acting as a protective shield for his friends when loogies and the monster finally appeared.

"Go to the Command Center. I will hold this thing off," said Black, more serious than they had ever heard him before.

"What? You can't face a monster alone," said Yellow.

Black didn't turn towards her, and Blue understood this was somehow personal. He touched Yellow's shoulder and shook his head. Then, he looked at Troy and Emma.

"They need treatment. We will leave them there and come back," said Blue.

Yellow didn't want to do that, but she didn't seem to have a choice when Black nodded, calling for his axe while Emma made a sound of pain and all Yellow's attention went back to her best friend.

"You will be okay, Emma," whispered Yellow.

Both Rangers teleported while Black ran towards the loogies, hitting them with his axe. He thought no one was going to stop him from getting to the monster and finishing him before he could check on Troy and Emma.

He felt guilty. He could have been there with them, but he left, and now they were unconscious.

The monster, seeing the fury of the Black Ranger's attacks, decided to use his power, forcing Black to take a step back as the vibration of the music almost made his head explode, but he refused to back down.

Using all his energy, Black threw the axe as if it was a boomerang and hit the monster in the chest, throwing him to the ground. The monster groaned in pain and got up as quickly as he could, pointing at the Ranger.

"I will get you for that, Ranger!"

The monster disappeared before Black could get to him, and he moved his hands in the air, frustrated while his weapon disappeared. He wanted to avenge his friends. He wanted to fix what should never have happened if he had stayed with Troy this morning…

"Stop feeling guilty, boy; there is no use in that now… better use that rage to save them," said the Snake in his head.

"Black? Black!"

Black looked at his morpher for a second before he took a deep breath and finally answered.

"I'm here. The monster escaped with the loogies," said Black, looking around.

He said nothing more while he put the morpher back on his side. He may look like a fool half the time, but when they touched his friends… Black would do anything to protect them, and now that this monster attacked Troy and Emma, he was going to realize what a big mistake he made.

Black nodded to himself, teleporting to the Command Center while his mind made the choice. He had to become stronger so this attack would never happen again.

Command Center

When Jake walked into the Command Center, he saw Emma and Troy resting in bed. They were awake, in pain but alert enough to recognize Gia, Noah, and Billy, who were on duty in the cave today. He walked towards the group and made sure to kneel to pat Tenshou before looking at Billy.

"How are they?" asked Jake.

"Fine, it seems the monster got too close to them, but once he is defeated, the pain will disappear," said Billy. "Look at this frequency. The music is what is making their heads hurt so much."

"It may take us down too since I guessed last time the helmet protected us, but if he managed to make it at a higher frequency, our helmets won't protect us," said Noah.

"Then how are we going to defeat him?" asked Gia, sitting beside Emma.

Jake looked down, thinking about what he knew about frequencies and mental breakdown, and after a few minutes, he remembered something. Nodding to himself, he looked at the teammates that were still able to fight.

"We can do it; there is a technique to block waves on different frequencies," said Jake. "It won't take all the pain away, and it won't work on Troy and Emma because they have been heavily exposed, but for us, it's a different story."

"What are you talking about?" asked Noah.

"I'll tell you later. For now, you and Gia have to come with me," said Jake. Then, he looked at Tenshou. "Tenshou, please call TJ. I remember Aunt Karone is working on some device to expand certain frequencies, and I know they have something to block other frequencies from space. Tell him if he can bring those devices—two for blocking for Emma and Troy and the other to defeat the monster."

"Right away, Black Ranger," said Tenshou.

Billy nodded, leaving the room after Tenshou, while Jake walked towards Emma and Troy, standing between both Rangers. Then, he knelt, grabbing their hands and putting them together with his.

"I know it hurts, but try to think of things that make you happy and calm your mind until the Space Rangers are here to give you two some relief," said Jake.

"We will be fine, Jake…" whispered Emma, wincing in pain and squeezing Jake's hand.

"Be careful, please," whispered Troy, closing his eyes to do what Jake told them to do.

Jake nodded and got up, walking towards the training room while he was followed by Noah and Gia. There, Jake pointed to the ground while he sat down, and the two Rangers did what they were told, sitting in front of Jake, confused about what they were supposed to do.

"As the smartest person of my age I know, you probably already figured out how the brain works under different frequencies," said Jake.

"Yes, it stimulates our mind, bringing out feelings. Depending on the frequency, it can bring good feelings, bad, and one of the worst is pain," said Gia.

"The overstimulation of the mind with the same frequency over and over can cause not only pain but brain damage if exposed long enough," said Noah.

"Exactly. We can't block the frequency completely, but we can lower the chances of getting hurt like Emma and Troy. To do that, you two need to stop thinking and just act impulsively," said Jake, smiling when he saw their faces. "I know it's difficult, but you need to do it to fight this monster."

"You want us to act like you?" asked Noah.

"Something like that. What you need to do is let your body speak for you in the fight while your mind remains in a happy place, a barrier any frequency will be unable to trespass," said Jake.

Then, he grabbed Gia's hands first and then Noah's and looked at Gia with a sweet smile while the Yellow Ranger looked at him, curious about this method.

"Gia, think about your happiest memory in your mind and don't let go of it when we go to fight the monster," said Jake.

Gia nodded, closing her eyes while she looked inside her mind for her happiest moment. She trusted Jake since he knew the most about these situations and because he managed to win her trust with his constant support, not only to her but to Emma and the rest of the team.

After a moment of thinking, Gia finally found her happiest memory. It was her and Emma, when they were kids, playing together and making a sandcastle. They spent the day having fun, and there was nothing but peace and laughter. It was the best day of her life.

For Noah, Jake had always been his best friend, so his happiest memory was attached to Jake. His first science project—Noah remembered how nervous he was and that he almost got sick until his best friend came and gave him the strength Noah needed to make the amazing presentation he wanted to make, winning first place while Jake cheered for him.

That was Noah's most treasured memory.

When they opened their eyes, Jake was looking at them with a smile. He knew they managed to retrieve their happiest memories, and now, they could fight the monster as long as they kept the memories present in their minds and hearts.

Jake got up and helped Gia first and then Noah to do the same.

"I knew you could do it," said Jake. "Now we are ready."

"Yes, we are," said Noah, but then he stopped, looking at Jake. "What about you, Jake? Did you think about your happiest memory?"

Jake stopped and took a moment to think before he smiled while the wind moved around the Yellow and Blue Ranger.

"I don't need to think about it because my happiest memory is real," said Jake, showing his silly smile. "My team and my family, spending time with you, being out there with you all, that is my happiest memory, and I get to live it every day."

Jake gave them one more look and then ran out of the Command Center, screaming his transformation while Noah and Gia shared a look, smiling. Of course, the idiot would say something like that.

They ran after the Black Ranger, calling their powers while they held their happiest memories close to them.

Jake was right. Their team was becoming a family, which was something engraved forever in their hearts, and no frequency could destroy that, ever.

Command Center

Emma was doing her best to move around. She wanted to help her friends, and she felt useless when she winced in pain as she tried to get up from bed. She looked to the side, where Billy was checking on Troy while Tenshou put one of his metallic hands over hers.

"Everything will be okay, Emma. Rest," said the small robot.

"Tenshou… it hurts," said Emma.

"I know, that's why I need to put this on your ears. It will lessen the pain until the Space Rangers come with the devices," said Tenshou.

Emma grabbed the earphones and put them on her ears, closing her eyes when finally she felt a pulse that made the pain a little more bearable. She smiled a little, opening her eyes to see Troy smiling back at her. He raised his hand towards her, and she took it, relying on the feeling of calm in her brain and the warmth of his hand.

Not far from them, Billy saw a flash of light, and then the Space Rangers, now with Andros, Zhane, and Karone there too. Andros gave a quick hug to the Blue Ranger and then looked towards the Rangers in bed.

"They are the ones you and Tenshou talked about?" asked Andros.

"Yes, Jake said you used some devices to block frequencies in space," said Billy.

"I didn't need them, but Karone created them for us," said Andros, pointing at his team. "Apparently, after all this time, we get affected by certain outer space frequencies."

"My head almost exploded the first time I experienced that frequency," said Carlos. "No wonder they are feeling this way now."

"That's why Karone made this," said TJ, smiling and showing the small earphones. "We need the frequency of the monster to add to the database, and it will create a counter frequency that will allow the Rangers to move around and feel better."

"I can get it; it's on the Pink and Red panels," said Tenshou.

"We will get it, Tenshou," said Cassie, grabbing Ashley and Karone.

While the rest of the team kept talking, Cassie, Ashley, and Karone walked to the main room where the panels were.

"So… it seems someone is in love," said Karone, looking over her shoulder at Troy and Emma.

"Maybe…" said Cassie. "It seems still young and new."

"Being in love and being a Ranger is complicated, but it always has happened," said Ashley, touching Troy's panel. "We will see what happens."

"I was told our boy is in love too," said Karone, smiling at Ashley.

"Yes, Gia is the Yellow Ranger, but from what we know, she is a mini-Andros: cold, detached from everything that is not Emma. She is barely opening up now that she is a Ranger, but like your brother, she has a long way to go," said Ashley.

"Andros changed, opened up thanks to you, and Jake got his funny and silly side from you," said Cassie, hugging Ashley while Karone got the frequency from Emma's panel. "Maybe they will have a chance at love too."

"Maybe, but for now, all we can do is wait and see what they do," said Ashley.

Cassie nodded when a 'beep' told them the devices had the frequency, and they were ready. At the same time, a screen appeared in front of them, and they could see the remaining Rangers fighting a monster, but they seemed to be holding better than their friends when it came to the frequency.

They saw the Blue Megaforce Ranger kicking loogies while Yellow and Black fought the monster until they got separated by a new monster, appearing, and Black was forced to fight him alone.

"We need to give this to Troy and Emma now," said Karone.

"Let's go," said Cassie.

The three women ran to the room with the devices ready. This was their chance to help the Rangers, and they weren't going to waste it.

-Megaforce-

Plaza

Black and Vrak's weapons clashed while they fought. When the Rangers got here, they found out the monster was trying to unleash the frequency all over the planet, and that would result in everyone being dominated by that horrible frequency if they didn't stop him.

"You don't have what you need to defeat me, Ranger," said Vrak.

"We will see about that," said Black.

They clashed their weapons again while, not far from them, Yellow and Blue were fighting loogies and the monster. But in a moment, the monster managed to push both Rangers away and sent a powerful frequency to the machine, creating a wave through the world that made the Rangers drop to their knees, including Black.

That's when Vrak took the chance to grab him by the throat and raise him.

"I have to admit, Creepox had a good reason to hate you. You are a formidable enemy, too bad our fun has ended," said Vrak.

Vrak raised his sword, ready to give Black the final hit, when a flash of light appeared, and Vrak found himself flying to the ground while Black felt a hand on his shoulder and someone helping him to get up.

"What did Uncle Zhane tell you about where to kick someone when they grab you by the throat?" asked the person who saved Black.

"The nuts… go for the nuts," said Black, finally able to breathe. "Does he have nuts?"

"Not now, you two," said another voice, on Black's other side. "Try to be serious for five seconds."

"You always ruin my fun."

Black looked between his Uncles Zhane and Andros, and then he looked towards his team. With the help of the other Space Rangers, they were able to push away the loogies. They reunited in the middle of the Plaza with Andros naturally taking the lead.

"Okay, Rangers, take care of the loogies. We need to have a little chat with that monster that attacked you, Black," said Andros. "Also, your friends will be here soon; the devices worked on them, and they have a plan."

"A plan?" asked Black.

"I don't know what made you think they could be Rangers, but they are a cool choice," said the Silver Space Ranger. "But while we wait for them, how about we teach a lesson to that guy over there?"

Black nodded, and the three Rangers, together with their weapons, ran to fight Vrak. Black had to admit, having the Red and Silver Space Rangers with him made him confident about winning this fight.

Red was precise, knew where to attack, and Silver followed him as if he knew every movement Red was going to make. Together, they managed to corner Vrak enough for Black to appear and hit him in the chest with his axe.

"It seems we still got it!" said Silver.

"You'll pay for this, Rangers! Especially you, Black!" screamed Vrak.

Vrak disappeared before they could attack him again, and the three Rangers quickly looked to the side, where they could see the other Space Rangers and Blue and Yellow Megaforce fighting together loogies and the monster.

That's right; they still had to fix the problem with the monster.

"Rangers!"

The monster threw the frequency at them, but the Space Rangers were ready and continued fighting loogies to get to the monster while the Megaforce Rangers recovered from the attack and looked at each other, impressed that the other Rangers weren't affected.

"Must be the earpiece," said Blue, getting up. "Come on, we have to help them."

"I have an idea, but I need my partner," said Black, looking at Yellow.

Yellow nodded while Blue ran to help the Space Rangers. Black told her his plan, and she nodded again when he prepared his axe. Then, Yellow ran, jumping over the axe, and Black pushed her with all his strength towards the machine that Yellow finally destroyed using her claws.

"No!" screamed the monster. "I will destroy you all!"

The monster was about to use his frequency to attack Black and Yellow when they all started to hear a beautiful voice, full of peace. They saw Pink and Red Megaforce walking towards the team. Red was holding his morpher to create a wave through the planet with Pink's voice that would heal those affected by the frequency and restore peace in the world.

Around them, flowers started to grow, and people started to feel waves of hope while Pink sang her song. Red put a hand on her shoulder while he held the morpher with the other, and Pink continued using her voice, showing her love for the planet.

The monster fell to his knees, unable to fight the amount of hope being thrown at him.

"I can't!" screamed the monster.

"You won't be able to fight hope!" screamed the Red Megaforce Ranger. "No one can stop that frequency!"

The monster screamed when Pink directed her voice at him. Then, she and Red called for their weapons and attacked the monster with their combined attack, making him fall to the ground while they ran to their friends. The other Rangers received them with claps and hugs, but then, loogies appeared, and Red Space Ranger put a hand on the Black Megaforce Ranger's shoulder.

"We'll take care of this. You finish the monster," said Red Space Ranger.

"Thanks," said Black, who then looked at the Red Megaforce Ranger. "Let's go finish this, Red."

Red Megaforce nodded, and the team called for their weapons, combining them to create the ultimate weapon they used against the monster, firing at him, and defeating him with one final attack.

Then the monster got bigger.

"Ugh… they are still doing that," said the Black Space Ranger.

"We got it," said Red. "Call the zords!"

The Megaforce Rangers jumped inside their zords and created the Great Gosei Megazord while the monster played his horrible music, making the Rangers groan in pain from the frequency. But they managed to get control of the Megazord and were determined; they knew they had to end this.

"We need to stop this… attack!" commanded Red.

The Rangers pressed the controls, and the heads of their zords got ejected, hitting the monster over and over. Then, they got back to their original position while the Rangers breathed a sigh of relief now that the monster stopped the music.

"Ready?" said Red, and all his Rangers nodded. "Okay! Victory Charge!"

The Rangers activated the card, and the Megazord's sword came alive with flames as it hit the monster several times, defeating him as the monster fell to the ground, screaming in pain. Red sighed and rested his head against his controller; finally, that horrible music was gone.

When he raised his head, he looked over to Pink, who was hugging Yellow. For some reason, Red felt that today, victory tasted even better.

Space

"I will destroy that Black Ranger!" screamed Vrak.

"Calm down, Vrak. We need to think with clear heads," said Admiral Malkor.

"No! I don't want to think! I want a plan to destroy him and bring his head to the Prince!" screamed Vrak again. "This is Creepox's fault, not able to destroy him when he had the chance! Idiot!"

"There has to be a way, Vrak, and we will find it," said Admiral Malkor.

Vrak walked out of the Control Room, still screaming while Admiral Malkor looked out to Earth. That Ranger… both Creepox and Vrak had problems with him. Who was behind the mask? He didn't know yet, but he was determined to find out, and when he did…

…he would be sure to end his life and break the other Rangers, one by one.

Command Center

The Rangers came back home after their long day, and Ashley smiled when she saw her daughter running to hug first her papa and then her Uncle Jake, who held her and walked towards the rooms with Andros, telling her all about the fight.

Not far from her, Ashley noticed another Yellow Ranger looking at the scene with gentle eyes.

"Hey…" said Ashley, getting Gia's attention.

"Hey…" said Gia, looking back at Jake, Andros, and the little girl, laughing at something Jake said. "I've never seen him with kids. She seems to love him."

"She does, and Jake loves her," said Ashley, following Gia's eyes. "He understands now why we took care of him the way we did when he was born, and he is hoping to pass his teachings to her when it's time."

They looked at Andros making a funny face and the little girl laughing and then, hugging both her dad and Uncle, she screamed how much she loved them. Ashley chuckled. Her daughter was as expressive as she was.

But she was so happy; Ashley would give anything to keep her that way. She looked to the side, and she could see Gia's eyes following Jake. Ashley wondered if maybe there was some of her and Andros in Jake and Gia.

"You know, Gia, I know we don't know each other that well, but I think you resemble Andros in a lot of ways," said Ashley, making Gia look at her, confused. "He was alone when we met him, the only Space Ranger, and when we met, he wanted nothing to do with us."

"He was like that?" asked Gia, looking at Andros, who was laughing with Jake and his daughter. "He doesn't look like that."

"We have a friend… a robot like Tenshou, his name is Alpha. He convinced Andros to bring us to the team, and we became the Space Rangers. But it still took us some time to get Andros to open up to us," admitted Ashley.

"But you two fell in love, right?" asked Gia.

"We did. I fell in love with him when I managed to see the real, kind, and strong Andros, and he…" said Ashley, chuckling. "He always said I saved his soul."

"That's… beautiful," said Gia.

"Yes. Did you know we were together when we faced our villain? Which happened to be his sister?" asked Ashley.

"No… you were together during those times? I mean, you had to be worried sick, and he too," said Gia, looking down. "And against his sister, that had to be horrible."

"It was. Karone was kidnapped and brainwashed when she was a kid, so she didn't have memories of Andros. When we found her, our enemies used devices to control her, making her dangerous and almost killing all of us and destroying Earth," explained Ashley. "During those days, before she attacked the city, Andros went alone to try and convince her to stop. I almost lost him twice, once when he left that day and then when we had to say goodbye because he decided to stay on his planet, and I had to go back to mine."

"But you are together now…" said Gia.

"He made a choice," said Ashley, smiling. "He appeared on the ship with Zhane and Karone and decided that his home was with his team, with me. The cold man I once met was gone, and there was only the young man I fell in love with."

"His love was stronger than his head," said Gia, understanding.

"Yes, and the reason why I tell you this, Gia, is because I can see in you the same I saw with Andros," said Ashley, making the Megaforce Ranger look at her. "I know love is hard, especially if you are a Ranger, but the real question is if it's worth it because behind all the battle and pain, there is a moment when you realize you can't live without that person, and that you will fight for them, no matter what. And that, Gia, will be your strongest self."

Gia looked down, thinking, when Ashley passed an arm around Gia's shoulder and hugged her, looking at her family.

"You may not be ready now, and I'm not trying to pressure you. I just want you to know that whatever you are feeling, you don't have to go through it alone. We are here not only for Jake but for all of you."

Gia nodded. She wasn't ready to talk, but it felt good to know and feel she had people she could talk to apart from Emma, people that knew the hardships of being a Ranger and how to overcome them.

Ashley smiled and then looked in time to see Jake, Andros, and her daughter making the pose of the Space Rangers when they morph.

"We should go and stop them before my little girl morphs," said Ashley.

"She has a morpher?" asked Gia as they started to walk towards the family.

"Of course, Purple Space Ranger," said Ashley.

Gia and Ashley walked towards the family and laughed with them, playing with the little girl. They didn't know what the future would hold for them, but for now, all they were going to do was enjoy their time together and not think about anything else.

After all, tomorrow was another day.

Command Center (Entrance)

Troy stopped beside Emma just outside of the Command Center. The sun was starting to go down, and the beach looked beautiful at this time, but for him, not as beautiful as the girl beside him.

"You did amazing today," said Troy, looking at Emma.

"We all did," said Emma. "How are you feeling?"

"I've been better, but Billy said the pain will be gone tomorrow. And you?" asked Troy.

"I'm fine…"

Both looked down, embarrassed. They could feel the attraction between them but didn't know what to do with it, at least until Troy found the courage to kiss Emma's cheek quickly and then stepped back, looking at her surprised expression.

Troy kicked himself. He was an idiot for acting without thinking.

"Emma, I'm sorry…" started Troy.

"No! Don't apologize. I… liked it," said Emma, smiling and blushing bright red. "I just didn't think you were going to do it."

"Oh… so, you liked it?" asked Troy, now nervous. "Because I think you are wonderful, and I was… well, I talked to Jake this morning, and he explained to me what he feels when he sees Gia, and… when I saw you, I felt something close to what he told me."

"You did?" asked Emma.

Troy nodded. He felt like a fool, but it felt so good to finally let her know what he was feeling. He reminded himself to thank Jake; without him, Troy would have never realized what he was feeling. He smiled and grabbed Emma's hands, making her look at him.

"Emma… I like you, and I was wondering if you would go out with me sometime?" asked Troy.

"I… yes, I want to go out with you," said Emma, smiling.

Troy smiled, and the young new couple hugged each other while Noah and Billy looked at them from the Control Room. Then, Noah looked at Jake and Gia, talking to Andros and Ashley, and sighed, turning his eyes back to his computer when he felt a hand on his shoulder. It was Billy.

"Too much love?" asked Billy.

"Maybe… I just don't understand why get into trouble in our situation," said Noah, looking at Billy.

"Well, no one can control what they feel, Noah," said Billy, patting the young boy's back. "But you will find it yourself when the time is right."

Noah was confused, but Billy said no more, disappearing into the training room while Noah sat down with his computer and Tenshou. He didn't love. He was more than happy the way things were right now.
