A/N: Sorry it took long, but I've got the chapter ready with some choice scenarios for Mizaki Ayuzawa234 to show a little precursor to Side B of the story, otherwise known as "Close Enough: A Regular Show – Side B", which is not only an M-rated story dedicated to Mizaki Ayuzawa234 (in case anyone asks), but also might come next week along with the current version on March 17th with a more in-depth look at certain points of this chapter that help it make sense. And this might be where it starts to get a little more original at a certain point. Like they say about Regular Show, "It's anything but…". Anyhoo, enjoy. :)

Close Enough: A Regular Show

"Just Set Up the Chairs"

It all started one day when Benson went through the list of what needed to be done with Mordecai, Rigby, Skips, Josh, Emily, Mitch "Muscleman" Sorrenstein, a fat, green man, and Hi Five Ghost, a very self-descriptive ghost.

"Alright, listen up! We've got this birthday party today, so... lots to do. Lots to do. Muscleman, Hi Five Ghost, you're in charge of picking up the special entertainment.", Benson spoke.

"Yes! Uh!", the two shouted before they high-fived.

"Skips, you set up the bouncy castle.", Benson added.

"Hmm.", Skips nodded before skipping over into a bush.

"Mona, Mela, I need you two to prepare the snacks/cake and presents table.", Benson requested.

"Got it, Benson.", Mona understood.

"Let's see, I'm picking up the kids, so... Mordecai, Rigby, Josh, and Emily, you set up the chairs.", Benson spoke before Mordecai and Rigby only groaned with the former sliding down the steps.

"Okay.", Josh and Emily shrugged in response before Pops called from above.

"Oh, what about me? Surely, I'm invited to my own birthday party!", Pops shouted.

"Um, your birthday was last week, remember? It's a kid's party today.", Benson reminded before Pops pulled out a bundle of balloons.

"I still have balloons!", Pops assured.

"We've got it covered, Pops!", Benson assured back.

"Oh. I see.", Pops spoke sadly before slipping out and getting carried through the air by the balloons.

"Dude, how come we always get stuck with the lame jobs? Setting up the chairs?!", Mordecai began.

"Lame!", Rigby added.

"Guys, it doesn't really take that long to do.", Emily spoke.

"She has a point. Besides, I can't trust you guys with something actually important. Unlike those two, you're always slacking off.", Benson responded.

"You calling us slackers?", Mordecai asked.

"Did he? Did you?", Rigby added.

"He's calling us slackers.", Mordecai spoke.

"He does have a pretty good point, though.", Josh spoke.

"Look, dude, we can totally set up all those chairs without slacking off.", Mordecai spoke.

"Good. Do it then.", Benson urged.

"We will.", Mordecai responded.

"Yeah, and then next time, you'll get someone else to set up the chairs?", Rigby added before Mordecai shrugged eagerly.

"Fine.", Benson responded.

"OOOOOOOOHHH! Not settin' up the chairs next time! Not settin' up the chairs next time! UHHHHH!", Mordecai and Rigby sang together.

"Just set up the chairs.", Benson requested before walking away.

Later, the group of four, with Candice in tow, were at the place where the celebration was to take place.

"Benson's gonna drop his balls when he sees how good we set up these chairs. He's gonna be all like 'Oh, no, my gumballs.'", Rigby grinned.

"Ha ha ha! Yeah-ya, we rule at settin' up the chairs.", Mordecai grinned.

"See? That's the spirit.", Emily grinned.

"One.", Mordecai spoke as he handed a chair to Rigby.

"Yaaa! One!", Rigby shouted as he opened the chair up before throwing it, only for it to fall on the ground.

"Yeah, dude, this sucks.", Rigby spoke.

"I agree dude, and normally I'd be all 'let's quit', but we have to prove to Benson we can set up these chairs.", Mordecai spoke.

"All right. AAGGGHHH! Must be nice to be the boss. Benson never has to do chores.", Rigby groaned.

"I don't know. Something tells me you wouldn't want to be in his shoes right now.", Josh responded.

Josh has no idea how right he was as meanwhile, in the highway, Benson was driving a bus full of kids, which is backed up by several vehicles in front, making the trip slow.

"Happy birthday, Jimm...", Benson began before Jimmy cut him off.

"Just drive the bus, you crazy slop jockey!", Jimmy shouted before Benson grumbled a bit.

Meanwhile, back with the group, Josh and Emily were setting up the first side of chairs while Rigby wearing said bunch of chairs, playing with Candice.

"BEW! BEW! BEW! PSSHHH! BEW!", Candice and Rigby shouted before they knocked over the chairs being set up.

"What the heck, dude!?", Mordecai shouted before Candice and Rigby laughed together.

"You know, when we asked you to watch over Candice, fun as it is, that wasn't what we had in mind.", Josh spoke.

"Can we please just focus?", Mordecai asked.

"AGGHHH! When you say that, it makes me tired.", Rigby groaned as he took the chairs off before sitting down.

"Dude!", Mordecai shouted.

"Oooooh! You sound like Benson.", Rigby groaned.

"Rigby! Listen. If you and Mordecai pound through this, you guys won't have to do this chair stuff again.", Emily assured.

"That is a really good point.", Mordecai agreed before Rigby gasped in realization.

"Next time, it could be us picking up...", Rigby began.

"The special entertainment!", he and Mordecai spoke in unison.

Later, the special entertainment were about to get picked up by Muscleman and Hi Five Ghost at the luxury apartments, the former of which knocked on the door, which opened and showed eyeballs.

"We are here to pick you up.", Muscleman spoke before the horse opened the door with several cans rolling out.

"Just a second.", the Special Entertainment Horse spoke.

"Aghhyyyahhgg... who's at da door?", the Special Entertainment Clown asked before the Horse showed him to the door and walked out with the clown walking out.

"Whoa, it's bright!", the Special Entertainment Clown spoke before getting ready to puke only to swallow it back in with the horse then giving a wink with his right eye.

"You know who likes special entertainment like that? My mom!", Muscleman spoke before he and Hi-Five high-fived each other.

"Could I borrow five bucks?", the clown asked.

Meanwhile, at the park outside, seeing as Mordecai and Rigby were deciding how to take care of the 2nd half of chairs, Emily was looking for a good spot to pick up some food.

"Now, where can I pick up some food?", Emily pondered.

As she looked around, though, she found herself in a pet adoption booth.

"What the? A pet adoption booth? Okay. Never noticed that before.", Emily spoke as she looked around and saw various pets with each name tag on each cage, including, but not limited to, pets such as Arlene (the pink cat in a cage with eyeliner), Neferkitty, Christine the cat, Felicia the cat, Rita the cat, Rita the dog, Georgette, Toots, Tootles Galore, Dollface, Yvonne Jockalong, Katy O'Kitty, Glory, Button, Delilah, and Mrs. Ferret.

Then, a sort of woman in a black jacket with grey pants, and studded boots joined by a girl with blue curly hair and pink skin spoke up near her.

"Looks like you have a thing for those, don't you?", the woman asked.

"Uh, not exactly. But I am kinda surprised a booth like that would show up. So, uh, who are you?", Emily spoke.

"Please. Call me Chrissy Lass.", Chrissy responded as she stretched out her hand.

"And I'm Suzy Gloco.", Suzy added.

"Hi. I'm Emily Ramirez.", Emily greeted as she shook hands, causing a sort of sickly green spark to arc to her hand.

"Whoa. What was that?", Emily asked.

"Eh, some static electricity.", Chrissy spoke.

"Uh…, okay?", Emily responded puzzledly.

"Would you like to look at all the pets we have?", Suzy asked.

Uh, yeah. I guess.", Emily responded.

"Hooray!", the pets suddenly cheered, taking Emily aback as she exclaimed.

"What's wrong?", Suzy asked.

"Oh. Nothing, but… I could've sworn I heard them all talk.", Emily spoke/

"This adoption tends to have that effect on people. They must be very excited.", Chrissy responded.

"Yeah. I guess so…", Emily responded.

Back at the set-up area, having already decided how to take care of the 2nd half, Mordecai and Rigby were already setting up the 2nd half of chairs as the 1st was done by Josh and Emily (who went off on lunch break to get something for Mordecai, Rigby, Josh, Candice, and herself while Josh stayed behind and kept watch over Candice, who was watching as well) earlier.

"37...38...38...Rigby!", Mordecai shouted.

"That's all the chairs, dude.", Rigby responded.

"What? There can't be only 38.", Josh spoke.

"There's supposed to be fifty!", Mordecai added.

"That's Benson's problem.", Rigby spoke.

"No, dude, that's our problem.", Mordecai retorted before Rigby grunted as he sat up quickly.

"C'mon, we've gotta find the rest.", Josh spoke as he and Mordecai went off for a shed, but not before the former picked Candice up.

"Fine! Let's find your stupid chairs.", Rigby groaned as he then took off with a dash and arrived at the shed before trying to open a door, but it wouldn't budge.

"It won't open, let's get out of here.", Rigby spoke.

"Did you try the actual door knob?", Josh asked.

"OOOOHHH! You're killing me!", Rigby groaned before barely moving the knob, which had a sort of locked knob sound.

"It's locked, let's do something else.", Rigby groaned.

"C'mon dude, take this seriously.", Mordecai responded while moving him aside before really trying to open it, only to find that it is actually locked.

"Uh! It is locked.", Mordecai spoke before smirked with a couple of nods and grunts.

"We've gotta get those chairs.", Mordecai spoke.

"Why don't you try busting the door down?", Candice suggested.

"Maybe I will.", Mordecai responded.

"Wait, what?", Rigby puzzled before Mordecai quickly knocked the door down with no hesitation.

"HEY!", Rigby shouted before Mordecai groaned in pain on the floor as he rubbed his arm while Josh, Candice, and Rigby went inside and grew amazed.

"Whoa!", Rigby and Candice spoke in awe as Josh gasped.

"Agh, you see the chairs?", Mordecai asked.

"Even better.", Candice responded.

"What do ya mea...?", Mordecai began before gasping as he and the others saw an enclave of arcade games with Mordecai standing back up on the ground.

"It's like old school heaven!", Rigby spoke in awe.

"Yeah, look at these things! Ball of Yarn, Lemonade Stand, Hats 4 Sale, Clap Like This, Candle Maker, Deli Dude, Staring Contest!? Why are these even here!?", Josh shouted in excitement.

"Who cares, let's play!", Rigby spoke before Mordecai stopped him.

"No, dude! Dude, no. You want Benson to think we're slackers forever?", Mordecai asked.

"I don't know. Do you want to be boring forever?", Rigby asked in retorsion.

"Not cool, dude!", Mordecai responded as Rigby got up on the stool for the arcade.

"Whatever! I'm takin' my break.", Rigby responded before starting a game up and button mashing.

"Dude, you're not even doing it right. You're just mashing the buttons.", Josh commented.

"Yeah. When has button mashing ever helped anyone?", Candice asked.

"Whatever, why don't you guys go back to work?", Rigby retorted.

"I know, how 'bout I take my break too?", Mordecai asked as he shoved Rigby out of the way, played and won.

"Bam! OOOHHHHHH!", Mordecai spoke as it showed on the screen, "You Win".

"Man, that was just luck.", Rigby spoke before Mordecai gave two nods with grunts with a smirk.

Meanwhile, Emily was quite surprised by 2 thing: not only were there other pets such as Sarabi, Roscoe, Desoto, Bud, Lou, Shenzi, Banzai, Ed, Nala, Zira, Kiara, Vitani, and Reirei, as rare companions, but also the fact that it didn't matter which pet she chose as all of them are apparently a packaged deal.

"Wait. You mean I have to purchase all of them?", Emily asked.

"Exactly. They are a packaged deal no matter which pet you choose. And the cost is…", Chrissy spoke as she then calculated the total cost.

"$1,000.", Chrissy responded.

"What?! No! That's highway robbery!", Emily shouted.

"Well, what did you expect? There are so many pets right now.", Suzy responded.

Then, Emily sighed before getting an idea as she looked closely at Chrissy and Suzy.

"You know, Chrissy, your name isn't the only thing that's pretty. Your face is pretty, too.", Emily spoke.

"Really? You think that my face is,,,pretty, too?", Chrissy asked.

"Not only that, but it's beautiful, charming, and cute.", Emily spoke, making Chrissy blush.

"And you, Suzy. Your curls are practically timeless for you. Cuter, even. And the glow in your eyes is just as stunning.", Emily spoke to Suzy, making her giggle with a blush.

"Why… no one's ever said those words to us before.", Chrissy spoke.

"Well, I kinda thought it was obvious.", Emily responded.

"Well, that's no matter. The point is, touching, but slightly flirtatious, compliments like that have changed our minds. You're getting those pets and all future ones for free.", Chrissy spoke.

"Wait, future ones? What do you mean?", Emily puzzled.

"The rest of the pets due here will catch up soon.", Chrissy explained.

"And all without a single cent. Isn't this great?", Suzy asked.

"Uh…, yeah.", Emily grinned nervously.

Meanwhile, back at the shed, Mordecai started the game again before this time, Josh played with Candice going next with Rigby and Mordecai finishing up with Rigby the only one who lost over and over again on each turn.

"OOOHHHHH!", Mordecai shouted.

"OOOHHHH!", Josh shouted.

"OOOHHHH!", Candice shouted next.

"OOOHHHH!", Josh shouted next.

"OOOOOOOOHHHHHHHH!", Candice shouted next.

"OOOOOOOHHHHHH! TEN IN A ROOOOWWWW! All right, let's finish those chairs.", Mordecai spoke just before Rigby noticed a lone arcade game in the back, wrapped up in a cloth with an Out is Order note on it.

"Wait, man, what about that one?", Rigby asked.

"But isn't that...out of order?", Candice asked before Rigby only pulled the cloth out and saw the arcade game called, "Destroyer of Worlds", astonishing both Rigby and Candice.

"Whoooaaa! This... looks... awesome!", Rigby spoke in awe.

"Yeah, whatever. It's broken.", Mordecai spoke.

"Probably because people couldn't stop playing it cause it's so awesome!", Candice responded before banging against it fur a bit, up to a point where the panel opened, mostly due to the force from all the bashing.

"Huh. That was easy.", Candice spoke.

"Wait. There's a note on it.", Josh spoke before getting out said note with the four reading it together.

"'In the name of all that is holy, don't connect the red wire to the blue wire'?", the group puzzled as they read the note before seeing both wires as inscribed in the list.

"I don't think we should do this.", Mordecai warned before Rigby only took the note, threw it behind him, and tried to connect the two wires to get the game to work.

"C'mon, c'mon!", Rigby urged before he connected the wires and a smoke version of the Destroyer of Worlds came out of the game, laughing, before disappearing.

"Okay. That was creepy.", Candice spoke before the power quickly went out.

"Dude, what just happened?", Mordecai puzzled.

"I don't know.", Rigby responded before the game turned back on and spawned the Destroyer of Worlds.

"Whoa...", Candice spoke.

"That can't be good.", Josh spoke.

"I don't know, it could be cool.", Rigby responded before D.O.W. then blasted a hole through the wall and left.

"Oh, man, we're so dead.", Mordecai spoke in worry.

"Maybe no one will notice.", Rigby guessed only for Destroyer of Worlds to blast several sheds and a tree.

"Oh, who unleashed the Destroyer of Worlds? Good show!", Pops shouted as he passed by, still floating on the balloons.

"We better go find Skips.", Mordecai suggested.

"Yeah. Good idea.", Josh agreed.

Meanwhile, at the pet adoption, Emily was quite surprised to see how she has that many pets around her.

"Thank you for your purchase, Emily!", Chrissy shouted.

"You're welcome. Man, I can't believe how many pets I have. And it didn't even cost me a cent, either.", Emily spoke before then noticing Destroyer of Worlds passing by with an evil laugh in the park.

"Huh. Wonder what that's all about?", Emily puzzled before then heading for the food stand.

"Well, better go get lunch.", Emily grinned.

Back at the park, all four ran, while panting, for Skips, who was setting up the bouncy castle just as Mona and Mela were setting up the birthday table for snacks, cake, and presents.

"Skips, uh, dude.", Mordecai spoke.

"What did you guys do?", Skips asked.

"What? Nothing. Heh.", Mordecai fibbed before the Destroyer of Worlds blaster the Merry-go-round and laughed.

"You guys ignored Skips' note, didn't you?", Mona asked.

"A note? What note?", Mordecai fibbed.

"You mean like a musical note?", Rigby added.

"No, he means the note he threw out.", Candice piped up.

"Quiet...!", Rigby whispered before D.O.W. blasted the bouncy castle next.

"You fools! Destroyer of Worlds will kill us all!", Skips shouted before it appeared behind them and laughed evilly.

"We have an idea, but we're gonna need time.", Mela assured.

"Distract it!", Skips urged as he, Mona, and Mela skipper over to the bushes.

"Wait, what? Distract it how?", Mordecai asked before Rigby then picked up a rock and aimed for the Destroyer of Worlds.

"Get outta here!", Rigby shouted before he tossed the rock at the D.O.W.'s chin, making him angry as he frowned.

"Uh-oh.", Rigby spoke.

"Oh, no.", Candice spoke at the same time before she, Josh, Mordecai, and Rigby were screaming as they're chased by the D.O.W. just as Benson pulled up with the bus.

"We're here. AAAAHHHHHH!", Benson shouted as the group ran past the bus, inadvertently leading Destroyer of Worlds onto the bus.

"It's the special entertainment! YAAAAAY!", the children cheered before it then peeled the top of the bus off with a blast, making Benson and the children scream as they ran for cover just as Muscleman and Hi-Five Ghost pulled up with the special entertainment.

"Hey, kids. Get ready for our very special entertainment!", Muscleman introduced before Destroyer of Worlds then zapped the special entertainment, turning them into ash, and causing the kids to scream in panic as they ran.

"We goofed up.", Mordecai spoke before Skips, Mona, and Mela returned with several arcade games tied to each other on the cart.

"Get in!", Mela urged before the group all went after Destroyer of Worlds.

"Climb on top, but don't press start until I say.", Skips instructed before

(Mordecai, Rigby, Josh, and Candice (with Josh's help) climbed onto the top of the golf cart right before Pops crashed into the golf cart.

"Skips, my good man! I lost my balloons.", Pops spoke.

"Take the wheel.", Skips advised before he went for the other arcade game as Pops then went in the drivers' seat.

"It must be my birthday!", Pops spoke.

"Your birthday was last week, Pops!", Josh reminded.

"Okay, everyone, press your start buttons on three. One, two, three!", Skips shouted before everyone pressed start and created a gigantic video game character in the process with a lemon head wearing three top hats with yarn for arms, and two burgers for a torso.

"Whoa!", the four spoke in awe.

"Mordecai and I got the arms while Josh has the hands covered, Rigby, you and Candice got the legs.", Skips spoke.

"Aw, what, legs?! Legs suck man, this is worse than the chairs!", Rigby shouted before the character practically went out of control as it spun around, firing burgers.

"Dude, quit mashing the buttons, you're messing up the legs!", Mordecai shouted.

"SHUT UP!", Rigby shouted in panic before the video game character ran away with D.O.W. following it.

"Drive, Pops, drive!", Skips urged.

"This is so much fun! Whohoo!", Pops shouted as he then went full throttle to catch up with the character only for the D.O.W. to notice them and blast near Skips, making him fall off.

"Skips!", Mordecai and Mona shouted before she hopped off to tend to him and help him up.

"Pops, stop! We lost Skips!", Mordecai shouted before Pops then stopped the cart.

"Skips, are you okay?", Mona asked as she helped him up.

"Yeah. He just grazed me in the hand.", Skips assured.

"Is he okay?!", Mela shouted.

"Yeah! Not sure for how long with the Destroyer of Worlds coming to zap us!", Mona shouted in assurance.

"We've gotta do something to get it away from them!", Mordecai spoke.

"Yeah, but how?", Josh puzzled before D.O.W. sent out another blast, which revealed a hidden set of 12 chairs.

"The extra chairs! Dude, you and Candice get the Destroyer of Worlds away from Skips and Mona! We're gonna go get the chairs!", Josh shouted before he and Mordecai jumped off.

"It's too dangerous!", Rigby shouted.

"Yeah, just leave them!", Candice added.

"I don't care! We're not slackers!", Mordecai shouted as he and Josh ran for the shed with the Destroyer of Worlds blasting at the shed, making Rigby and Candice gasp.

"MORDECAI!", Rigby shouted.

"DADDY!", Candice shouted at the same time before it showed Mordecai and Josh just fine, although screaming as they each held a chair before D.O.W. was suddenly hit with a burger blast as Rigby and Candice apparently started mashing all of the buttons together, blasting the Destroyer of Worlds to a point where he was weakened.

"What the...?!", the Destroyer of Worlds spoke in surprise.

"The button mashing's working! Finish him off, guys!", Mordecai shouted before Candice then pressed all the buttons on the arcade game at the bottom while Rigby grabbed the joystick of it with his tail and mashed the buttons on the other arcades as he and Candice shouted before the video game character fired the burger blasts at full power at Destroyer of Worlds, finally destroying him before the character then stepped forward toward a cherry that appeared in place of D.O.W. and ate it, getting 100 points in the process with Rigby and Candice getting off as Josh and Mordecai caught up.

"That was some pretty sweet button mashing.", Mordecai grinned.

"I told you I got skills.", Rigby grinned before Emily arrived with lunch for herself, Josh, and Candice.

"Whoa. What happened here and what did I miss?", Emily asked.

"Yeah. Funny story.", Josh spoke before Benson came out of an apparent ditch, red hot with fury and extremely mad.

"YOU!", Benson shouted.

"Whoa, hey Benson! Before you freak out, we totally set up those chairs.", Mordecai assured before it showed all 50 chairs set up.

"Whoo! This birthday party's hot!", Muscleman shouted excitedly while swinging his shirt around.

"So, we're cool right?", Rigby asked.

"YOU IDIOTS! That's the last time I entrust you with something important, LIKE THE CHAIRS! And as for you, Josh? You and Emily are setting up the chairs next time. At least you'll do better.", Benson spoke.

"OOOOHHHH! Not settin' up the chairs next time! Not settin' up the chairs next time!", Mordecai and Rigby sang in unison.

"But you are gonna clean up this mess and you can start by sweeping up the special entertainment.", Benson spoke, gesturing to the ashes that were once the special entertainment before walking away.

"Yeah, no problem.", Mordecai assured.

"We got it.", Rigby spoke.

"Don't worry about us.", Mordecai assured.

"We're gonna take a break first, right?", Rigby asked.

"Yeah.", Mordecai responded.

"I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think we've had enough breaks for today.", Josh responded, making Mordecai and Rigby groan.

"Speaking of breaks, how was yours?", Josh asked.

"Well, let's just say it was a bit more surprising than I thought and leave it at that.", Emily responded, handing the lunch bag to Josh.

"Uh, okay.", Josh responded.

"I wonder what's for lunch.", Candice grinned.

A/N: So, there you have it. The scenarios for Side B of the story. Sounds like there's another side to this story, huh? Quite interesting, I'd say. We'll just have to see how it unfolds as more about those scenarios and more beyond them arrive next week in Side B. Until next time. :)
