A couple of hours later, the crew of Lux came across a sinister-looking river valley. Chloe spoke out with concern "Are you sure that this is the way" Lucifer replied "Yes, we need to follow the morning star and there's no other way around it. If we go off course, we will lose valuable time." As the ship enters the area, the atmosphere is unsettling. Lucifer takes hold of the helm as the ship needs to navigate carefully. That's because, through this river valley, there are sharp rocks that have caused many shipwrecks as the crew have seen many remains of the ships that have sailed through this terrain. Mazikeen lies at the jib-boom to give Lucifer signals on which way to go. As for Amenadiel, he's on the deck to give some of the demons a hand with the heavy lifting. At some point, he notices Chloe hanging around near Lucifer but he doesn't question it and gets back to work.
As the crew get deeper and deeper into the terrain, some mysterious voices occur in the background. It sounds like a young woman humming but in a distance. As the crew continues to sail, the voice gets louder and louder. Chloe starts to get curious but Lucifer prevents her from speaking further as he feels entranced by the beautiful voice. Chloe is annoyed by him and looks out. She noticed some water moving but not in a normal way. Behind Chloe, Lucifer became so entranced by the music that he lost focus on what was surrounding him. The music got louder which led Chloe to see what was on the side of the ship. Those creatures are what Chloe identified as the sirens and as the sirens travelled around the ships, more of the crew began to enter in the siren's music. Chloe looks at the sirens again and sees the sinister look on their faces which tells Chloe that they are bad news. She goes to Lucifer's side and tries to tell him about the sirens. The ship suddenly shook as it went into some rapids. The ship hasn't crashed thankfully but Lucifer and the crew haven't been concerned with the matter. Chloe tries to get Lucifer's attention but it's not working. Chloe calls out to some demons but only the ones she's familiar with "Dromos! Squee!" But they are not responsive so Chloe calls out to someone she feels would be able to talk some sense in this situation. "Amenadiel?" Unfortunately, Amenadiel is also in a trance. Then Lucifer starts speaking to himself "Have you ever danced with the devil?" Chloe goes all out annoyed "Uh, men!" "You have no idea" Maze appears out of nowhere and stands by Chloe's side. "Wait, you're not affected by this" "I guess those fishes are more focused on the boys" After that explanation, Chloe sees that Lux will crash if they don't do anything about it. So Chloe makes Lucifer tumble off the helm which causes the ship to go off in a different direction which is away from the sharp rocks. Before Lux could crash another pile of rocks, Chloe grabbed the helm and managed to handle as much as she could. As the sirens make themselves known to the boys, those boys are getting closer. Maze and Chloe noticed how they were going towards the edge of the deck. If they get too close, they would fall into the waters and there's no doubt that the sirens would drown them. Chloe looks around and notices the rope. "Maze, the rope behind you" Maze turns and notices the rope. She understands what Chloe is thinking and goes to wrap the whole crew up to prevent them from going out further. But one person is missing. Amenadiel is at another part of the ship. Considering he's stronger than the other crew members due to him being an angel, Chloe calls out to Maze to get Amenadiel. Unfortunately, she's a little occupied with dealing with the other demons. So it's up to Chloe to deal with Amenadiel. To keep the ship steady, he lifts Lucifer to simply place him on the helm. There's another rope near Chloe which she used to tie Amenadiel. He was about to lift out his wings and go off but Chloe managed to get to him just in time and make sure that he didn't get out again. Maze finishes her task and goes to help Chloe. However, Maze notices that Lucifer becomes entranced with a siren passing by. She tries to save him but it just makes him towards another siren. Chloe tries to get to the helm to keep Lux under control but a sudden current has caused Chloe to tumble and land on Lucifer. On the lips, Lucifer thought that he was kissing the siren. Chloe manages to punch Lucifer out of the way and he ended on the floor. As Chloe became aware of the situation, she noticed that they were heading towards a dangerous-looking waterfall. She rushes towards the helm and holds it steadily. Chloe observes the ship's wreckage as it goes down the current and then crashes into the sharp rocks. While panicked, Chloe looks around to find a solution and luckily for her, she sees her way out to a safe open ocean but it's blocked. "Maze! We need to get to that opening but it's blocked" Maze looks at what Chloe sees and uses one of the cannons to blast it open. It caused some of the shipwrecks to go all out. Some laid some scratches on the ship but it didn't prevent the crew from making it to the other side. Some of the sirens got hit by the ship and they were unable to pursue the crew as they made it to the safe open ocean.
Everyone besides Chloe and Maze finally snaps out and back into reality. Even Lucifer sees that they are in a completely different area than before. He turns towards the helm to find Chloe behind the wheel. While he was pleased that nothing happened to Chloe, he would keep his expressions to himself to not show any sign of weakness among the crew. Not that it makes it worse for him that he got saved by a human. With the demons and Amenadiel awake and focused, they thought that Lucifer saved him. Maze quickly arrives at the scene to correct them and looks towards Chloe. She wouldn't say anything but it does give a good hint to the crew about Chloe's heroic deed. Amenadiel manages to get the demons to snap out of it and get back to work. While they do that, Lucifer and Maze go towards Chloe at the helm. Lucifer stands right next to Chloe who has a smug on her face. "Told you I don't need a babysitter" He replies "And I told you that I don't doubt that. But still, it was dangerous out there. You should be thanking me that I got Maze to look after you when I'm otherwise occupied" Lucifer turns to something that caught his eye. "Bloody hell, some parts of the ship have been damaged" Both Chloe and Maze look to see what Lucifer sees and then look at each other. They then watch as Lucifer continues to look around to see if there is more damage and there is. Well, there are some scratches and broken structures. "Now we need to make a quick pitstop to do some repairs." Chloe goes up to Lucifer to discuss where they can go to fix the ship. Maze meanwhile sees that those two are getting along very well. For that, she leaves them be and gets to Amenadiel. "Hey angel, take a look at this" Amenadiel takes a look at what Maze is referring to. What he sees is something he hasn't seen before. It makes him watch Lucifer of what he's doing and he waits for the right moment to talk to him. As for Lucifer and Chloe, they managed to find the nearest island on the map and head there. Lucifer suggests that she either get back to the deck with Maze or back to Lucifer's quarters. Chloe quickly reminds him that she doesn't need a babysitter; she has saved him and his crew after all. That reminder left him flabbergasted but he remained strong as Chloe went on her way. Maze appears near Lucifer as he thinks that she should be down there on deck. "What do you see in that human?" Lucifer knows that she won't go until she gets an answer. "It's just… There's something different about her that I don't understand and it vexes me" "Maybe it's not her that is different" Lucifer looks at Maze and her cheeky grin says plenty to Lucifer of what she might be referring to. Other than saying anything, he goes off to check if there's anything else the crew needs while dealing with the repairs.
Meanwhile, in the City of Eden, Dan was in his cell as he gazed out towards the horizon. It has been some time since Lucifer sailed off and Dan prays that Lucifer will succeed. Suddenly, his cell door was open but the person who entered was someone who he didn't recognise. It's a young lady with a bob haircut and she somehow got to his cell undetected as there are no alerts of any kind. "Mr. Espinoza, I need to discuss with you" "Who are you?" She felt hesitant to answer but she felt the need to give him an answer to gain Dan's trust. "Call me Ray-Ray. Now, I had to talk to you before … the execution" Dan was a little confused. "Why does it concern you?" "I can get you out of there and you can have a chance to go out there" "Go where? I can't go out there" Ray-Ray responds with worry "But at least you get a chance to live in case Lucifer fails" Dan responds with confidence "He will not fail" "Ok, but I have to ask, how would you know that Lucifer could make it?" Dan puts his hand on her shoulder for assurance. "Not many humans in this city or perhaps the whole world know this but deep down, there's good in him. I have seen it" That quote made Ray-Ray smile, at least there is someone who has a different view of him. "Whatever you worried about Ray, don't be. I know what I'm doing" Ray-Ray gestures to him to show that she understands his decision. Dan had a moment of thought and managed to catch Ray-Ray as she was about to go. "Hold on, Ray-Ray. Why are you checking on me anyway?" Ray-Ray look towards to Dan and give a straight answer. "I like to check because I have faith in my favourite brother" Dan turns to have a little time to think but when he turns back to ask what she meant, he only finds her gone, vanished without a trace. He even checked if the door was locked and it was. While that was random, he got back to his thoughts and looked back to the horizon. "Lucifer, no matter where you are, please hurry"
