Just then, the unmistakable sound of vomit making contact with a toilet bowl rang like bells all throughout the common room.
Daphne and Theo shared a look then raced toward the bathroom. Daphne reached the door first. She knocked on the door.
"Draco are you ok in there?" Daphne asked gently and worriedly.
"Yeah." Draco said through the door tiredly then immediately started throwing up again.
"Oh goodness, no you're not!" Daphne exclaimed as she opened the door, almost breaking the handle in the process, then rushed inside, kneeling down next to Draco, patting his back in support trying to help him.
"It's alright, just get it all out of there." Daphne said soothingly. She heard Theo's panicked footsteps behind her as he filled a cup of water from the sink and handed Daphne the cup.
Daphne gave him a small smile at his worried look. She felt bad about snapping at him a moment ago. She knew that he would have never have joked or lied about something like this.
When it had been a while since Draco had thrown up she asked, "Do you think that you are done?"
"I think so." he said tiredly, weak from heaving up everything in his stomach. He leaned heavily on her, exhausted.
Theo kneeled down next to Draco and got him off of Daphne and supported him with one arm. Draco was half-asleep.
"Sorry." he said to Daphne when he saw her rubbing her arm.
"It's ok." She said, handing him the cup of water that Theo had given her.
"Take small sips or else you will throw up again." Daphne commanded gently.
Draco picked up the cup but Theo noticed that he was struggling with holding the cup out of weakness, so Theo helped him out. He took the cup out of his hand and put it up to his lips. Draco looked at him with gratitude, taking small sips out of the water cup, just like Daphne commanded.
After he was done, Theo supported Draco as he stood up and started walking toward his bed. Daphne stood up and walked behind them. Theo helped Draco onto his bed.
"Thanks." Draco said.
"Your welcome." Theo said, stepping away so Daphne could get a closer look.
She walked up to him and felt his burning forehead. She tsked.
"We should take you to the hospital wing," Daphne said.
"What?! NO! Please don't take me there! Madam Pomphrey will make me stay there! I HATE sleeping in the hospital wing!"Draco explained.
"Well, if you're really that sick , maybe you should go to the hospital wing, it would be the best for your health," Daphne said , although she sounded a bit unsure. Draco did need to get better, but he could do that just fine here , with his friends looking after him than lying in an uncomfortable bed all weekend with Madam Pomphery bothering him every 5 minutes and people gawking at him.
Her pale blue eyes were narrowed in thought as she paced back and forth.
Suddenly a loud voice interrupted her thoughts and sent Draco to start coughing his lungs out.
Theo raced over to him , sat on his bed and pounded Draco's back.
"Hey! You lot!" the voice screamed. It was Tracey.
"Oh! Right. We're in here! Theo and Draco's dorm! Come on up!" Daphne yelled, her voice echoing down the stairs.
You could hear Tracey's boots slamming up the stone steps.
'Hey , What's up? Malfoy, what are you doing in bed?" Tracey asked , confused.
"He's sick." Daphne informed.
"Aww! Is wittle Dwaco a wittle sick?" Tracey mocked teasingly , flipping her chestnut- brown hair over her pale shoulder.
Draco scowled at her. Daphne and Theo chuckled. Tracey always seemed to bring some laughter and lighten the mood when something serious was happening.
"I'm contemplating whether to take him to the hospital wing or not," Daphne said.
"What do you mean? We have to figure out what's wrong with him so we can take care of him better." Tracey explained, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. And now that Daphne thought aboutit, it was pretty obvious.
"Don't I get a say in this?" Malfoy asked incredulously.
"No you don't," Theo said, walking over to the 2 girls.
"Come on, let's go!" Tracey exclaimed, already stomping down the stairs. Daphne followed, her black flats echoing throughout the stairwell.
"Oh! And get dressed Theo!" Daphne yelled from the bottom of the stairs.
"We'll be waiting for you in the common room." Tracey added, matching Daphne's loud voice.
A couple minutes later, Theo, wearing a Slytherin sweater and dark blue jeans, walked down the stairs supporting Draco who was in pajamas with his face as white as a ghost. Tracey rushed to help Theo.
Then, the four of them made the long trek to the hospital wing.
