The next day, when they made it to the top of the hill, it was to a massive crowd of men and women stopping students and asking them questions. Lanz immediately took charge, being the largest and most intimidating looking of them, "Oi! Snuff off, we ain't answering any questions!"
The crowd slowly parted as they made their way through them, a couple brave ones trying to get a question in, only for Lanz to growl at them. They entered UA, breathing a sigh of relief.
"I don't like reporters," Sena said firmly.
"Snuffing hell, I'd be worried if you did," Lanz said, casting a look at the reporters who seemed to have decided to bother Iida.
"We'll have you get used to them eventually," Izuku pointed out, "but that many this early… Yeah, it's a bit much."
The two halves of Oroboros split at their classrooms, walking in and taking their seats. A few minutes later, Aizawa stepped into the room.
"Let's quickly go over the big thing from yesterday's Battle Trials, most of you were adequate for what we would expect from new students. Midoriya."
"Yes, sir?" Izuku said.
"I know you could have taken down Bakugo with less brutality than what you did. Don't do it again."
"Understood."
"Good, now, it's time for something important, that'll decide your fate at UA."
"Dramatic, much?" Eunie asked Izuku softly, who cracked a small smile.
"You have to pick your class representative."
Most of the class exploded in excitement, while Izuku, Mio and Eunie stayed more composed.
"What the spark are they so excited about?" Eunie scoffed, "It's obvious that you're the best choice, Izu."
Izuku jerked, not expecting being called out, "No thanks, being leader of one death defying adventure was enough, I don't need to lead a bunch of sparking children, Eunie. Mio might be-"
"Don't you go shoving responsibility you don't want on me," Mio shot back at Izuku, even as her face quirked into a smile.
"-The best way to choose this is democratically!" Iida declared, and Izuku felt sweat drop down his brow as he realized Mio was staring at him with a cat's grin. Oh, no.
—
"I told you I didn't want the position," Mio smirked as Izuku whined.
"It's good for you," Mio said, "and I do mean that. You're a good leader, Izuku, and you should use that skill more often than you do."
"You're a good leader too, and you do it less often than me," Izuku responded petulantly. He had voted for Mio, only to discover Mio, Eunie and one other student had voted for him, putting him in the position of rep, "I should make you be my vice rep, just for this."
"I don't mind that," Mio said.
"What's Izuku snuffing about this time?" Lanz asked as he walked up to the table with Taion and Sena.
"We made him class representative," Eunie said.
"Ah, so we'll be working together," Taion said, "better to coordinate our classes together, since we know each other."
"You were made rep?" Izuku asked, and Taion nodded.
"The rest of the class figured it made sense to have someone with actual experience lead. I plan to act as a mentor to my vice representative," Taion explained, "So far I'm eyeing a girl called Kendo Itsuka."
"Hmm," Izuku hummed, but didn't respond, which gave Mio that bad feeling he intended to still pick her as vice rep.
"Oh, you're eyeing her, are you, Tai?" Eunie said catilly.
"To train like Nimue did me. Nothing so… What's the word? Uncouth?"
"...That doesn't make me feel nearly as at ease as you think it does," Eunie deadpanned.
Before Taion could respond, probably to ask what that meant, an alarm began sounding. All six of them summoned their Blades and prepared for combat. Until Lanz glanced over people's head and said, "It's just those reporters, they managed to get in."
"Oh, for the Queen's sake-" Izuku said before sticking two fingers in his mouth and giving a sharp whistle, "Sparking calm down! It's just reporters, nothing to lose your head over!"
"And you say you aren't a leader," Mio would later deny practically purring those words.
—
The next day, they arrived at a facility for rescue training, which Eunie honestly found a bit weird. Yes, logically, she knew that heroes did rescue ops, but in Aionios, rescue ops were rare. Most of the time, they tried to react before one was necessary, and even then; by the time they got around to initiating one, it usually turned into a job for an off-seer.
Still, they entered the building to see a person in a big, bulky white suit. Glancing over at Izuku, he said, "Thirteen, the Space Hero, she's the top rescue hero in the country."
"Welcome to the Unforeseen Simulation Joint, or USJ!" Eunie raised an eyebrow, reminded of that park Inko and Izuku had taken them to upon first arriving on Earth, Universal Studios Japan. Before she could ask if that was deliberate, Thirteen continued on, "At the battle trial, you learned how your Quirks could be used to hurt. Here you're going to learn to help. Has anyone taken any first aid classes or the like?"
"I was part of the healing corp in Keves," Eunie said, "Triage, healing, occasionally surgery.
"Ah, yes, Eunie, your file did say you were a trained medic."
"She's better than that," Izuku said proudly, "She's the best snuffing medic this side of Nia!"
Eunie cracked a smile at that.
"Yes, well, anyways," Thirteen started to continue, only for Eunie, Mio and Izuku to notice something. A black mist that reminded her of an Annihilation Event. It spread out through the center of the USJ, letting out a group of people led by a blue haired teen and a giant black, beaked creature with an exposed brain.
Eunie, being Eunie, did the only thing that made sense. She switched to Full Metal Jaguar and aimed both guns that her Blade had become straight at the apparent leader, firing Ether charged bullets at him.
There was a blur of motion, almost too fast for the trained eye to follow, and then the black creature was in front of the teen, the bullets exploding against him.
"Izuku?"
"I know," Izuku said simply, Truthseeker appearing in his hand "Mio?"
"Right."
"Aizawa," Izuku ordered, "get the kids out of here."
"They outnumber you three to one," Aizawa said, even as he began to shepard the kids out.
"You think that scares us?" Eunie laughed.
—
Izuku went right for the heart of the enemy, Truthseeker bared. His red blade flashed as he span low and two men fell with cut tendons. Riding the spin to come up, he gouged a trench in the black monster's skin. Only for it to squelch closed immediately after and swing a lightning fast punch at Izuku's head, forcing him to dodge.
Embers on the coat…
"Ha! The teen hiding behind the beast laughed, before boasting, "Nomu has a super regenation Quirk! There's nothing that sword of yours can do!"
Maybe not this sword, but…
Izuku landed on one of Mio's Sundancers that had been expertly tossed in the way, immediately kicking off as he lowered the Veil completely. Logos, The Son, was revealed to the world as Izuku drew Lucky Seven. If this thing could regenerate, he had no choice but to go all out.
…Brush them off.
Purple energy began to rise off the blade as he came closer.
If push comes to shove, do not flinch!
Izuku felt the skin of his hand be flayed off layer by layer. He still hasn't gained control of Logos's power yet compared to I.
Do whatever it takes-
Izuku's Iris started glowing, the blue and pink meeting in the middle as he reduced "Nomu" to a splatter of blood on the ground and the blue haired teen.
For the greater good!
