Jade takes the plates to the kitchen to wash as they wait for Luffy to arrive "Kat I'll go do the dishes quickly."
"In that case I'll start figuring out where to put the sail pole." Katsu said. "Can't set out to sea without that in place. After that I'm going to have to work on the pole itself and do what I can to make sure it's secured, and we can rotate it as needed."
He then goes over to her and kisses her cheek.
"Very well just don't make it a box with a stick and a sheet in the middle." Jade smirks
"It won't be that bad. I should be able to make a somewhat decent one until we get an actual ship." Katsu said.
"You sure?" Jade smirks.
"I'm sure. Plus, with our Overlord Powers it should be easy." Katsu said.
"Then why is our house a box then?" Jade smirks
"Not an architect!" Katsu counters
"And you think you can build a good boat?" Jade smiles
"A decent one." He said. "Right now, I am more worried about making sure it works."
"Ah that makes sense." Jade smiles. "Anyway, we better get this done."
"Right. A few more days before we ship off. We need to get some sound proofing for our room." Katsu said.
"Yeah, do you think we could make a plant that can work?" Jade asks
"We can try. Oh yeah we need to check the tree." Katsu said.
"Oh yeah but it won't be done yet, will it?" Jade asks.
"No but we need to check on it often or else." Katsu said.
"Right." Jade nods
"Which we probably need to eat the first fruit it produces. Since we need to eat them once a week every sixth day and on the third day which will be after we first eat the fruit, we can turn those into Lockseeds." Katsu said.
"Yeah." Jade nods
"Hmm we should probably keep the tree in our room, make a deadbolt or several for our room, and maybe put the poll in our room too." Katsu said.
"Yeah." Jade nods.
"This will allow us to get a close eye on both." Katsu said.
"Yeah, and I will not pole dance with it." Jade tells him.
"Wasn't thinking that. Besides we can make one appear and disappear at will." Katsu said.
"Sure, you weren't." Jade smirks at him
"I really wasn't Jade. You are the love of my life and the sexiest girl I have ever met but right now dirty thoughts are out of my mind." Katsu said seriously. "Right now, my concern is making sure we survive the first few weeks and eventually long enough to have our children and raise them together."
He then hugs her tightly. "I don't want either of us to lose the other ever again."
"I know Kat, I know." Jade smiles as she grinds up against him.
"Work now fun later. By the way did you get a bikini?" He asks her.
"I got a few, I could model for you." Jade smiles as she keeps grinding.
"Sure. By the way is there anything you think we need to get before we ship off?" Katsu asks.
"I'm not sure Kat." Jade says thinking as she stops grinding.
"I know we need food so we should get some things to preserve food for long trips even if we get a fridge and freezer. Luckily our powers can help grow fruit, I think. Plus, other things." Katsu said. "We need to do some practice and see what our limits are."
"Yeah, that's true." Jade nods
"We're going to be busy for a while." Katsu said before letting go of Jade. "We better get what we can get done now. Maybe we can head into town tomorrow together."
"Like another date?" Jade smiles
"Yep. Well, half date half supply run to get what we'll need especially with Luffy since he gives me bottomless pit vibes." He said.
"Oh definitely!" Jade laughs
"Anyways better get to work before Luffy gets here." Katsu said.
"Right." Jade says as she goes to wash up
(1 hour later)
Katsu had finished putting the pole in and getting the sail up while Jade had finished reading the guidebook DJ Sagara gave them.
"Most of those celestial dragons are messed up in the head." Jade mutters
"We knew that going in." Katsu said but then Luffy comes and sees the sail.
"You put the sail up!" He said excitedly.
"Yeah. I placed the base of it in my and Jade's room so we can keep an eye on it in case it snaps. Thankfully it should work well enough until we get a proper ship." Katsu said.
"Let's hope so." Jade nods
"Are you going to make the rest of it now?" Luffy asks.
"Try to. It's not going to look pretty but it should work for our needs." Katsu said.
"Should I try the new lock vehicle?" Jade asks
"Oh yeah we should check it out." Katsu said.
"Yeah." Jade nods as she holds the Lock Vehicle out. They head towards the water before Jade unlocks it causing it to transform. It was based on the Seamoth from Subnautica but with a coral design colored purple.
"That's awesome!" Jade says getting excited "it's like something from Subnautica!"
"Yeah it is." Katsu said having played the game himself thanks to Jade.
"Subnautica?" Luffy questions.
"It's a video game. We'll explain later." Katsu said.
"Have fun building the houseboat." Jade smiles as she gets in the Coralmoth
"And you be careful." Katsu said.
"I'm always careful." Jade smiles. She gets in and after studying the controls with the help from the Guidebook dives.
"I wonder what I'll see." Jade mutters. While she was doing that Katsu and Luffy were discussing the houseboat.
"Alright this is going to be a bit tricky. I think I can maybe make a basement while doing the floors and rails which I am going to make as thick as possible, so it doesn't break." Katsu said.
"How are we going to make it float?" Luffy asks.
"I should be able to make it float since its wood as long I make enough space and railing and make sure there is no chance of water leaking." Katsu said.
"How can I help?" Luffy asks. Katsu thinks.
"I think with your stretching powers I'll need you to help make sure it's even." Katsu said.
"Right." Luffy nods.
"This is going to take a while." Katsu said as he starts making the parts of the boat leaving the basement for later. Luffy helps him. It took a bit, but they turn the house into a decent houseboat and sail.
"Now the next part. Getting into the water and making sure it doesn't leak." Katsu said. "Better get everything out first so we don't lose anything."
"Should we get Jade to help?" Luffy asks
"Nah let her have her fun. She is going to be on a boat for who knows how long with two guys and even though I am her boyfriend/husband she needs her alone time that doesn't involve us bugging her." Katsu said.
"Really?" Luffy asks "She seems to be happy with you."
"Luffy everyone wants a bit of time for themselves once in a while. Plus, she is going to be the only woman on the boat with two guys and I'm sure both of us are going to give her some headaches." Katsu said. "She can't exactly vent to another woman for who knows how long."
Katsu sighs.
"Luffy you will understand someday. Trust me." Katsu said. "Or somewhat understand."
"I'll try but I don't get it." Luffy says.
"Well maybe if I put it this way. Ok you do solo training, right? No one around to interrupt you or get hurt by accident while you work on your moves or even a special move." Katsu said. Luffy nods. "Well, it's like that but instead of training she could be doing something else she wants to do like take a nice long bath or read a book for example."
"I think I get it." Luffy nods.
"Good." Katsu said as he has a feeling he needs to get Luffy to be more of a thinker and understand things better since if he doesn't then something might cause Luffy's death and theirs as a result.
"Right so getting it in the water?" Luffy asks
"After we get everything out." Katsu said.
"Right also to put it in the water would my powers help?" Luffy asks
"Yeah, just be careful and don't touch the water." Katsu said.
"I know." Luffy smiles
"I think for the most part we can leave some of the wood made things like the plates." Katsu said. Luffy nods.
(10 minutes later)
The boys got everything that needed to be removed out and Luffy and Katsu were starting to but the boat in the water.
"All seems to be ok so far." Luffy says as he slowly puts the boat in there water
"Yeah. I made the wood as thick as possible while using a type of wood that floats the best." Katsu said thankful that his powers also include the knowledge of which wood works best for this.
"That's good." Luffy nods as the Coralmoth rises from the water.
"Huh. I thought she would have been out longer." Katsu blinks. Jade gets out of the coralmoth a big smile on her face
"It is awesome down there" her smile drops "But lonely."
"Well maybe we'll get more Coralmoths later." Katsu said. "Or you can sit in my lap when we use it."
"I would like that." Jade smirks "so where is the S.S. box boat?"
"Not an architect nor a shipbuilder." Katsu deadpans. "And it's right there."
"I know I just wanted to annoy you." Jade smirks. Katsu sighs.
"Why do I feel like this is going to be a running gag?" He mutters.
"It might be." Jade laughs.
"Running gag?" Luffy questions.
"Basically its a joke that can and will come up several times. Like my construction skills being insulted and I would most likely react and say I'm not a architect or something along that line." Katsu said. "Which we really need to get someone to help with those. After all we'll need someone to help keep the ship in the best condition when we get a true pirate ship."
"That is true." Jade nods
"Ah we're going to need to get a lot of people for the ship." Katsu said.
"Oh definitely." Jade nods
"We should go over the positions we need filled and if we should get more than one person on those jobs later." Katsu said.
"Yeah, but now, we need to get ready." Jade says as she returns the coralmoth to its lock form.
"Of course." Katsu and Luffy nods.
"So, what needs to be done." Jade asks
"Well, we got to make sure the boat isn't leaking." Luffy said.
"Right." Jade nods
"Jade, can you get on board and check while I be on standby to get it quickly out?" Katsu asks.
"Sure." Jade says as she gets on. She starts to check the flooring to make sure no water was leaking in.
"Everything looks good so far." Jade says
"Good. Ah crap we need an anchor!" Katsu realizes.
"Oh shit yeah." Jade laughs
"Maybe some rocks? Some wooden roots should work to hold as long as they are tied around enough." Katsu said.
"Ah true." Jade says.
"I'll go get this!" Luffy smiles widely.
"You sure?" Jade asks. But he doesn't answer as he runs off. Both them sighs a bit.
"I guess this is practice for when we have our own kids." Katsu said. Jade nods.
"Yeah, but hopefully our many kids listen more." Jade smiles.
"Which reminds me. We should work on the list of names more later." Katsu said.
"That is true." Jade nods
"We have five three boys and two girls so far." He said. "For a boy or a girl Ichigo?"
"That works, do you think he will be able to see ghosts." Jade smirks
"Or she." Katsu said. "It works for both genders."
"I was making a reference to Bleach." Jade laughs
"I know. Wait do ghosts exist here?" Katsu wonders. "If so, how the heck are we going to deal with that?"
"That is a good point, we can't just call the Ghostbusters." Jade laughs as She kisses katsu. He kisses back as he hugs her to him.
"I hate having to wait." Jade says.
"Same but admittingly it's nice to have you all to myself since our focus will mostly be on the kids. Though once we master our cloning power that will be a weight off our backs." Katsu said.
"That is true." Jade smiles
"And we can have some fun with the clones." Katsu said.
"Oh?" Jade asks "That could be fun."
He nods.
"We better start placing everything back on the boat." Katsu said.
"Right." Jade nods.
"Afterwards if Luffy decides to go do something else by himself we can have a beach date." Katsu said.
"Really?!" Jade asks excited
"We're pretty much done with the boat. Next is getting supplies and doing what we can to get them persevered." Katsu said.
"Right." Jade nods.
"You got a couple of books for preserving food, right?" Katsu asks.
"Of course I did!" Jade says "Also I know a bit about that anyway."
"Great. Hopefully our powers will allow us to grow various fruits and vegetables." Katsu said.
"It should." Jade nods.
"We'll have to experiment with them. Oh yeah I was planning on making a basement." Katsu said.
"On a boat?" Jade asks.
"It can also serve as a secondary boat if we need to leave quickly like say escaping from the attack of other ships. Cannonballs are no joke." Katsu said.
"That's a good point." Jade laughs.
"Which we need a way to see." Katsu said.
"I got a few telescopes and isn't that what the crow's nest is for?" Jade asks
"Jade we're going to be underwater if we have to use this." Katsu reminds her.
"Oh right." Jade chuckles.
"We could try to make a periscope." Katsu said.
"Oh, that's a good idea." Jade nods.
"We'll have to figure out how and where to put it. We also need to figure out the air problem which we could have some potted plants since they produce fresh air for us and we give them carbon dioxide." Katsu muses.
"That's true." Jade nods.
"A part of me wants to save it for tomorrow since I want to spend more alone time with you and there is research, we need to do." Katsu said.
"Research?" Jade asks.
"One we need more info on this world. 2 we need info on where to get a ship or have one made plus costs. 3 we need to also figure out how to get news since I have no doubt they might have some newspaper place. There is also other things we probably need info on." Katsu said.
"That's true." jade says as she leans into katsu
"Not to mention we need a proper wedding." Katsu said holding her tightly. "Which if we somehow meet your brother again, I should probably run and hide since I didn't ask for permission to date and marry you."
"I'll protect you Kat." Jade says as she kisses him. He kisses back.
"If you want a beach day, I bought a lovely two piece for myself." Jade says as she kisses him more.
"I bet it will look good on you." Katsu said. "Then again you'll look good in anything."
"Or nothing." Jade says as she pulls away with a wink.
"True that." Katsu chuckles. "You know if we use our powers over wood, we might be able to section a part of the beach off and have a nude beach day."
"And some fun in the sand." Jade smirks as she winks at him.
"Yep. Which we'll need an excuse to keep Luffy away." Katsu said.
"We could cook him a big meal to knock him out?" Jade suggests
"I don't know if that will work." Katsu said. "Could just have him go pack up all of his things and give him some cash to pig out while we have our fun."
"That could work." Jade nods. Just then Luffy comes back with a big rock. Jade looks over but doesn't back away from Katsu "That's a big rock."
"That should do it, but I don't know if it needs to be a bit smaller." Katsu muses.
"Same." Jade nods.
"Maybe we should do a sail run? Try it out and see how it goes?" Katsu suggests before he realizing they need something. He quickly makes some oars.
"I'm up for that." Jade nods.
"Let's do it!" Luffy shouts in agreement.
"Kat don't you think this has been too easy?" Jade asks.
"A bit but considering we did die a while back I am going to take full advantage." Katsu said.
"That is true." Jade laughs.
"Speaking of taking it easy let's head into town and get some lunch." Katsu said. "Then we can try out the boat."
"We need to tie up the boat." Jade points out.
"I know that love." Katsu said. "I was just saying that since I haven't been into town yet or do you want to make lunch yourself?"
"We could go out." Jade nods
"Then let's tie up the boat and go." Katsu said.
