Chapter Two: The Wrath Unleashed
Aboard the drifting tomb of the Invincible Wrath, Darth Vader sat motionless on his jagged throne, the faint hum of his crimson blade slicing through the oppressive silence. His mind was no longer clouded by doubt or confusion. The galaxy was his by right, but one obstacle remained—his former master, Emperor Palpatine.
Sidious's machinations had built the Empire, but it would not be his for much longer. Vader's transformation had made him more than Sith, more than human. The Dark Side coursed through him, unrestrained, infinite in its possibilities.
He rose from his throne, his cloak rippling like liquid shadow. "Coruscant," he muttered, his voice cold and absolute. The air around him seemed to darken as he focused, his will bending the Force to his command.
Vader's connection to the Dark Side had granted him an unparalleled gift: the ability to transcend physical space. Through Force Walking, he could traverse the galaxy in an instant. It was not teleportation—it was domination. With sheer willpower, he tore through the fabric of reality, bypassing the limitations of time and distance.
As he stepped forward, the wreckage of the Invincible Wrath vanished, replaced by the heart of the galaxy. The city-planet of Coruscant stretched out before him, its endless spires glittering like stars against the black void of space. The air was thick with the hum of speeders and the distant thrum of the Imperial Palace, a beacon of Sidious's rule.
Vader landed silently atop the Palace's highest spire, the winds whipping around him. Below, the city was alive with activity. The Emperor's Shadow Guard patrolled the perimeter, their crimson pikes crackling with lethal energy. Probe droids hovered near the entrances, scanning for intruders.
Vader smirked, a rare expression on his pale, unholy face. "This is what he sends to protect himself? Insects."
With a flick of his hand, the nearest droid imploded, its metallic remains scattering like confetti. The sound drew the attention of two Shadow Guards, who ascended the spire with mechanical precision. Their pikes ignited in a blaze of red light, their voices cold and mechanical beneath their helmets.
"Identify yourself!" one barked.
Vader ignited his lightsaber, its chaotic crimson blade casting jagged shadows across his armor. "Your executioner."
The fight was over before it began. Vader moved with a speed that defied comprehension, his blade a blur of death. The first guard managed a single thrust before his torso was bisected, his lifeless body tumbling into the abyss below. The second guard attempted to retreat, only for Vader to seize him with the Force.
"Run back to your master," Vader hissed, tightening his grip until the guard's helmet crumpled like tin. "Oh wait. You can't." With a casual flick, the body crumpled to the ground, lifeless.
The Palace's interior was a labyrinth of dark corridors and hidden dangers, designed by Sidious himself to thwart any would-be assassins. As Vader descended, the walls began to shift, revealing rows of automated turrets armed with disruptor bolts.
The turrets opened fire, their beams sizzling through the air. Vader didn't flinch. With a wave of his hand, the bolts froze mid-flight, hanging in the air like stars caught in a web. He sent them hurtling back, the turrets exploding in fiery bursts of shrapnel.
Next came the Sithspawn. Hulking, mutated beasts bred in secret by the Emperor, they emerged from hidden chambers, their flesh glistening with dark ichor. Their eyes burned with malice as they charged, claws and fangs bared.
Vader met them head-on. His lightsaber danced, severing limbs and heads with surgical precision. One beast lunged, its maw wide enough to swallow a man whole. Vader thrust his blade upward, driving it through the creature's skull. It collapsed in a heap, its black blood pooling at his feet.
"You send abominations to face me?" Vader snarled, his voice echoing through the halls. "Pathetic."
At last, he reached the Emperor's throne room. The grand doors creaked open, revealing Sidious seated upon his throne, his withered face illuminated by the glow of Coruscant's skyline.
"Ah, my apprentice," Sidious rasped, his voice a poisonous whisper. "You've come to grovel, I assume."
Vader stepped forward, his lightsaber blazing. "No, master. I've come to end you."
Sidious laughed, the sound grating and unnatural. "You think yourself my equal? You are nothing without me, boy."
The room exploded into chaos. Sidious unleashed a torrent of Force lightning, the air crackling with its intensity. Vader raised his hand, absorbing the attack as though it were a mere breeze.
"My power is beyond your comprehension," Vader growled, advancing steadily.
Sidious rose, his own lightsaber igniting in a flash of red. The duel was brutal and unrelenting, the clash of their blades sending shockwaves through the throne room. Sidious fought with cunning and speed, but Vader was an unstoppable force, his strikes shattering the Emperor's defenses.
In a final, devastating move, Vader disarmed Sidious, his lightsaber clattering to the floor. The Emperor raised his hands in a futile attempt to summon the Dark Side, but Vader was faster. He plunged his blade through Sidious's chest, twisting it cruelly.
Sidious gasped, his eyes wide with disbelief. "You… were meant to serve…"
"I serve only the Dark Side," Vader replied, his voice cold and final.
With a surge of Force energy, he obliterated Sidious's body, leaving nothing but ash.
