You know, there were plenty of indications that I was not in a canon star wars universe. That, or there was more going on behind the scenes that was normally shown in the movies and books. For one, while the Jedi were against strong attachments? They were not actually against sex, and there were a few attachments and bonds that were not only accepted, but encouraged. Mostly that of a family connection towards members of your 'linage,' the chain of teachers and students that stretched back and forward across the ages and were as close to a family line as most jedi would know in their lives. As it was, things between a padawan and their master could be... well, the Jedi did not actually practice grooming and were death on rapists and sexual violence and cohesion inside the order. He blinked and attempted to process the information from the battle. There had been several anomalies, and esoteric energy readings that deserved further study. Of course, some of the elements were... not exactly rational. The fact that water, wind and electrical energy from the storms had taken shape began to attack the attacking forces was unexpected. As was the giant flying whale of ice that registered as a moving thermal void that rose from the depths of the sea and proceeded to devour capital class ships before dropping back into the murky depths.

Or the protoplasmic shapeshifting things that seeped into the flesh and bodies of the non-droid attackers to consume and puppet them from the inside out, spreading, merging and combining before bursting apart into laughing mist and vanishing. But, there was a clue, as the cameras showed Jedi Master Shaak Ti dragging her padawan by his ear, and reprimanding him from 'summoning primordial elemental forces' while he complained that he had checked and that it was not banned.

Apparently, according to the dry tone from the member of the jedi high council, because they did not think that anyone would be so reckless as to even consider it a possibility. Which indicates that this entire event was some sort of phenomenon related to the force energy field. And if it was capable of such feats... perhaps they should try and investigate things.
