Viserys Targaryen
One the one hand as news came in of the overwhelming victory in the Stepstones and his brothers new kingdom, he was glad, for it would mean less pirates and peace would be preserved for a time. On the other hand, it revealed that the Velaryon's had another dragon rider who was, in addition to everything else, a powerful sorcerer, or at least in possession of powerful magical items. But, even as he considered, for the briefest of moments the merits of binding such power to the throne... he sighed. Because it figured that it was not a trueborn child in possession of such power, but a bastard.
Which meant that, by virtue of his base birth, he was disqualified from a royal match. Which was a shame, even before hearing that he claimed to already be wed. And to what seemed, according to the whispers, a Yi Tish bride. Further connections to the land of his mother? It occurred to the king that he should ask Corlys of the boys mother, for if a woman of that land had come to be his son's, what must his mother have been to them, even if Corlys had been permitted to take their child?
A child that had been given a dragon egg and a fox with more than one tail. All of these suggested that there was far more to the story than could easily be discerned, even if some tales and legends from those places came to him. Did the people of those lands not see their emperor, their great kings, as divine? And what better proof of such divinity than to be gifted with sorcery, to be bonded to dragons? Could it be that in his voyage, Corlys had an affair with a princess of that nation, who allowed the child to be taken to avoid the shame, but still given gifts and kept an eye on?
It was a possibility, even if it was not too likely to be true. Mostly, as he chuckled, it was that inner romantic in him that sought some grand and wonderful story. Still, perhaps young Laevon Waters would be willing to accept an invitation to Kings Landing? If nothing else, it would allow him to see a Yi Tish dragon. Which would be a treat indeed, if only to compare the two breeds.
Daemon Targaryen
Truthfully, one of the more boring parts of the conquest was in how to divide it all up. And yes, he was taking Bloodstone for himself and Vaemond Velaryon was renaming the island granted to him as Tidestone. Which meant, that after Laevon Waters took his reward, there would be nine more islands to place in the hands of those that would manage them on his behalf. A part of him wanted to sneer and tell the others to do as they willed, but perhaps it would be best to offer the islands to the commanders and captains that stood out the most in the war. It was why Waters was being rewarded after all.
One part of him entertained the thought of rising up bastards, dragonseeds all of course, to be the lords of his new kingdom? A not small part of him was rather amused by the fancy truth be told. And the thought of how much the sheep would react did no small part to fuel such fancy, as their frustration and outrage would be delicious. But, it was a passing fancy and little more, for as amusing as it would be, it would also be impractical. No, best to raise up knights and the sons of knights, or the second or third sons.
Which meant that Davis Bar Emmon, Taemor Caltigar, Simos Staunton and Elden Sunglass would each require a reward, bringing the total down to five. Though it did make the question of how to give them out... only for a request to come in, which made him ponder things. Waters did not desire one of the large islands, but one of the smallest, out in the south, nearest to Lys. A grin crossed his face, before he chuckled. Any other man he would suspect of wanting easy access to the sweetest pleasure houses in the world, but Waters?
From what Corlys said, his son's wife was wrapped around him and held his balls in her claws. A odd way of phrasing things, though he could not tell if that was saying that his wife would do as she was told... or if she was able to dominate him.

He looked over the reports. To be entirely honest, he would normally not even give these any thought for they originated from the barbarians of the far west. But, the reports mentioning one of the of the Imperial Dragons being sighted in those lands required investigation, if only because no symbol of heavens favor had hatched in centuries. And if one had awoken in the barbarian west, in the hands of those descended from the Valyrians? Then clearly, they remained there because they were bound by blood magic, a slave to the impure savages.
It could be a mistake on the parts of agents there, but if it was not... then by the mandate of the heavens, they would need to prepare to rescue them and return them home. And then a thought passed through his mind, as he called for records, fear in his heart.
Almost thirty years ago, one of the western savages had come to the land of true civilization. While there were few details other than trade, he observed the files as they were placed before him. Yes, he had an affair with the courtesan Chai Shu, resulting in a child that he had taken with him. It was remarkable only due to the fact that a child had been born and so was recorded in the hall of births. Yet, as he looked into more details, more became clear.
Chai Shu had been known to always wear yellow and she vanished into the east soon after the child was born. Hos blood froze. Chai, the family name of the Yellow Emperors, and in the east legend spoke of the last Yellow Emperor having extended his life by black magic. Information needed to be gleaned, but now?
There was every chance that the barbarian who held the symbol of heavens grace prisoner was in truth the grandson of the Emperor In Yellow, a scheme launched from dread Carcosa!
