Horus Lupercal

With each new sibling, he had gotten over some of his jealousy, the fact that he would have to share his position as his fathers child. His siblings were his... peers. Fellow princes and princesses of a star spanning gang across the stars that was lifting the people up to be more. Sure, it was more than whatever visions he had as a child, but in many ways there was not THAT much difference between how any other gang leader or tribal chief ran things and how the Imperium worked... if for no other reason than they left them in place to pay tribute while they continued on.

But still, his siblings at the very least were interesting, and meeting them seemed to resonate, to make him wonder about what could have been. Even if he would not have changed meeting and getting along with his first gang, and bringing them up into the Wolves. Well, most of them. Even his sisters could not bring their female companions into being their new gene-children, to being part of the legions in truth, even if there were some options, to keep them around. It just... wasn't the same really.

But, he smiled, as he looked at the shuttle... and then he narrowed his eyes at the figure walking beside Father. Because yeah, Father was big and golden and radiated light, and more than a few mortals just sort of got lost when next to him (the same way someone was lost when looking at a mountain), but... a part of him wondered if this really was one of his siblings. They were not really a shadow, and yet at the same time he was... small. And almost mortal in that he seemed to be not as real as their father.

He was pale and gaunt, his clothing and armor simple and dark colored, with only a hint of red and grey giving any colors at all, and only making his flesh, the pale white of a corpse, stand out that much more. There was a sense of quiet, of contemplation as he moved, with no fear or hesitation, no wasted movements... and no fear, awe or unease. Nothing that would speak of someone coming from a death world with limited technology and into the grand halls of a might void ship. Yet, there was, as far as he could tell, only calm in his body language.

But, as Father nodded, a knowing smile on his face as he left the new sibling in his care... well, there was nothing to do but smile. "Greetings brother." Said little brother cocked his head, as he walked closer, quiet, the shadows eating his footfalls. Inwardly, he hoped that this would not be a repeat of HER. Sure, Magnus was another shapeshifter, but at least he didn't try and lick some blood and sit on your chest at night while staring at you. "I'm Horus, and your new big brother..."

He paused, as there was an amused smile on his brothers lips. "Are you aware brother, that for the most part our size is a reflection of our pride in our accomplishments?" Listening to that voice made him shiver. Not in a sexual way, but because it was like sinking into a cold dark lake, where even his senses could not see the bottom. "However, as you have given your name, I shall give mine. I am Mortarion." There was layers of meaning there, just like talking to Leman (the mutt never used a word with one meaning when he could use one with five), even as his pale brother nodded. "However, you are indeed my elder."

But why did he have the feeling that a joke was just made at his expense?

Victoria the Phoenician

There was little more that she enjoyed than these little galas, to hold a party and to show off all the art and culture of not merely her legion, but those of the others. Though, she had some concerns that the newest addition to the family would not feel welcome, because there was not much she could find about Barbarus other than it was a Feudal World that used to be a Death World. But the details? She was starved for details and it made her want to pout.

Still, her eyes scanned the room, looking for her prey... and there he was. Just as all the rumors stated, he was small. And even if she and her sisters were smaller than their brothers on average, they were still taller than he was. The fact that he was with Sanguinius (and her sister was a total sweetheart when she was not in her avenging angel mode) as they were drinking something that from a sniff she could tell was not one of the carefully selected beverages, but was instead blood?

She did not roll her eyes as she strode up to them. Really. "Sister! And my newest brother!" She smiled... even if there was something about him that seemed familiar. Even if he sort of blended in and did not stand out. His clothes were, as she quickly scanned him... functional enough, but drab, boring and stark to the point where she wondered if it was a protest to decoration. But, she smiled. "Can I give you a hug?"

She did not wait long, after he gave an amused smile... to sweep both him and Sangy in her arms, to hug them both as she giggled, her sisters wings fluttering as she gave a squawk of surprise. "Its so good to meet you! I am Victoria, and Father let me call my legion the Emperors Children." Now, she was waiting to see if he would be annoyed at that, or if...

"Ah, so it seems that I have far more adopted siblings than I initially knew of." His tone was dry and deep, with only the faintest touches of sarcasm, and no judgement, even as they shared a laugh and smile. Something about him... she felt that he would be a very good listener. "Still, I am Mortiaron of the Death Guard."

That told her something of her brothers mind and thought, even as did his comfort in wearing such plain attire while surrounded by those in much grander vestments. He lent a sort of dignity and nobility to them that was hard to place exactly, as he took her hand and kissed her knuckles, as their sister tittered and she giggled. "Oh, do you not know little brother?" She fluttered her eyelashes at him, more for the reaction than anything else. "That one does that to a lady they are not related to. What might the others think?"

He merely raised an eyebrow. "That my sisters remain ladies of great worth perhaps."

It was said in a calm and knowing tone, one that tickled parts of her as she looked him over, a smile on her lips. "Thank you for the compliment brother." Still, even as she adjusted herself, it was time to strike! "So, would you mind telling me of yourself and your home? I was afraid that you would not be able to enjoy yourself, and I try and weave some of everyone's homes into these little events. And of course..." Her eye turned to her winged sister. "What did you do to get our angelic sister here to part with some of her private stash, instead of what I had prepared for her?"

Because there was gossip afoot, and potentially new inspirations for ART!

On the one hand, waking up the morning after with dear Sanguinius's wings around her was not unexpected. On the other hand, as she looked at their brother between them and how he was able to not only keep up with them, but had the sheer endurance to outlast them?

Well, she had a new favorite brother. None of the others had been willing to entertain her offers before after all.
