Just like any great gym leader, Misty Waterflower spends her days morning to night performing a set of vital and necessary tasks…

"Horsea, Starmie, chow time!" Misty said, standing on a ladder before dropping food pellets into the tanks. The two water types happily made their way closer to Misty before consuming the food that she was giving them. Horsea sucked the pellets up, while the pellets seemed to vanish the moment they touched Starmie's body. "I guess you really like this new food," Misty said with a smile. "Professor Oak will be glad to hear it. It is really good for you!"

Meanwhile, Togepi and Psyduck were standing on the foot of the ladder where Misty had more Pokémon food ready for her other Pokémon. "Toge!" Togepi said as she took one of the pellets, enjoying the food.

"Psy?" Psyduck said as he looked into the pail of food before devouring the contents, much to Togepi's amusement.

"...That is, unless you scarf it down like there is no tomorrow," Misty said as she lifted Psyduck out of the Pokémon food bucket by the neck.

"Toge toge puree!" Togepi chirped while bouncing up and down.

"Especially since I already fed you twenty minutes ago," Misty said with a sigh. Work as a gym leader sure was tough. If only her sisters would finish their vacation already so they could help her out at the gym. But then again, they hardly did anything as gym leaders while she was away with Ash, so why would they help her when they eventually returned?

Misty Chronicles OP1:
"I Ain't The Same, I'm the Power"
Lyrics by TheGlassyGuyArt
Vocals by Rachael Lillis (as Misty)

(Lyrics

Accompanying Visual)

I feel the change in the air, I'm feeling so alive
On a blue background, a silhouette of Misty's feet appears, and zooms up her body as the lyrics continue.
My heart is beating faster, higher than a kite
When it reaches her face, it zooms out and reveals her whole body.
I ain't the same, I'm something new, I'm something bold
Misty pulls out a Pokeball and throws it, a flash of light appears
I'm feeling the power, I'm never getting old!
The logo for "The Misty Chronicles" appears as it transitions to the first verse.

I ain't the same, I'm way much more,
Misty is shown running alongside a river, her Goldeen jumps out and wags her tail before falling back into the water.
My spirit's got the power to open every door!
Staryu jumps out of the water and spins before it too falls into the water.
"Giving up" was never in my dictionary,
Psyduck suddenly pops out of his Pokeball. Misty stops running as Psyduck falls into the water.
My power has been reborn, and so I have been!
Misty sighs as Togepi, who was in her arms, just chirps happily and claps
I'm on a mission to live my life right,
Misty is now facing off against another trainer, as Politoed cheers her on by clapping.
Spreading love and light with all of my might,
Misty sends out Corsola as it makes a pose.
Gotta rise up high don't be afraid to fall,
Horsea and Starmie are swimming behind a glass wall, giving happy expressions as if they are happy to see Misty again.
The courage within me is gonna carry all!
Gyarados swims straight up in front of the Pokemon as it cuts to Misty on the battlefield

OH YEAH, I AIN'T THE SAME BABY!
Misty sends out all of her Pokemon as the chorus starts up.

I ain't the same, I'm the power and younger!
Goldeen jumps up and uses a Horn Attack
I am the victory, feeling so much stronger!
Staryu and Starmie use Water Guns to form arcs as Misty makes a pose in between.
Oh yeah, I ain't the same,
Togepi shakes her arms back and forth like a metronome to the beat.
Oh yeah, I ain't the same!
Psyduck shakes his booty in front of the camera.
I ain't the same, I'm the motivation.
Horsea uses a Smokescreen attack to cover the whole screen.
I'm the heartbeat, born for inspiration!
Corsola clears the smoke by using a Spike Cannon attack.
Oh yeah, I ain't the same,
Politoed claps along to the beat.
Oh yeah, I ain't the same!
Gyarados pops out of the pool and unleashes an attack
I know in my heart I can do anything!
Misty and all of her Pokemon are seen together as the song ends.

On a cerulean blue background, the episode's title appears in white text as Misty Read it out loud:

A DATE WITH DELCATTY

Meanwhile, at an eatery in Cerulean City, a pair of suspicious-looking figures came up to the cash register.

"We would like a Hyper Happy Burger combo…" the first person, who had yellow hair, said.

"With a prize in the fries…" the second person, a green-haired man, said.

"Right," the woman working the cash register said, her tone growing more suspicious, "a Hyper Happy Burger combo with a prize in the fries… coming right up!"

Soon, the two suspicious figures were seated with their meal as they shook the fries onto the tray, with a small phone coming out. When they were sure that nobody else was looking, they pushed the button and got a call from their boss…

"Good afternoon, Cassidy and Biff," the voice on the other side said.

"The name is Butch!" the green-haired man said harshly but not loud enough to draw any attention to any of the other patrons.

"Listen closely," the voice on the other side said, ignoring Butch's correction. "Your next mission is to apprehend Delcatty, the Prim Pokémon. My sources have told me that there is a Delcatty owned by a young boy who is currently within the vicinity of Cerulean City! You are to find the boy and seize his Pokémon as quickly as possible! Do not delay! That is all!"

"Finally," Cassidy said.

"A new mission!" Butch said.

"Do NOT fail!" the voice on the other side said as the phone disintegrated. Cassidy and Butch smiled at one another. Delcatty, the Prim Pokémon? This could be fun…

Meanwhile, a young trainer decked out in yellow pinstriped clothes was standing in front of a huge stadium, her Meganium by her side. This trainer was none other than Casey.

"There it is," Casey said to her starter, "Cerulean Marine Stadium!" Her favorite team, the Electabuzz, were scheduled to play the Starmie there that night. Casey didn't make it far as a trainer, only winning half of the required number of gym badges in her rookie year. She was mainly now roaming the regions, wandering to wherever the Electabuzz were playing road games, and hoping to win enough money through battles with her Meganium, Beedrill, and Elekid to buy a ticket.

"If only we could find a way to get enough money for a ticket," Casey said before something clicked. There was a gym here in Cerulean City, and maybe by battling the gym leader here, she could get the money she needed for a ticket! "Come on, Meganium!" The young trainer said.

Meanwhile, back at the Cerulean City gym, Misty received a visitor in the form of Tracey. "Special delivery!" he said.

"Hey Tracey!" Misty said as she went to go talk to the professor's assistant.

"Professor Oak asked me to bring me another batch of Pokémon food," Tracey explained.

"That's sweet of him," Misty said with a smile. The two of them continued to talk about the Pokémon food and how much her Pokémon enjoyed it, as well as Misty's new outfit, which was dubbed the "advanced outfit" by Ash. As the two were talking, neither noticed Casey coming through the doorway to the gym…

"Guess who?!" the Electabuzz fan said.

Misty and Tracey turned around, and Misty smiled. "Hey! Casey!" she said.

"The one and only," Casey said with a smile.

"Good to see you," Misty said. "So what brings you to the Cerulean Gym?"

"You see," Casey said before explaining her motivations for coming over to Cerulean Gym, and how she hoped to get enough money to get a ticket to the upcoming Electabuzz-Starmie game. "So I was hoping to have a battle with you."

"Okay then," Misty said. "I bet I know who you are going to be rooting for…" Misty had seen Casey's Electabuzz fever firsthand while traveling with Ash, as her team spirit was high, with two of the Pokémon on her main team coming in yellow and black stripes. They were Beedrill, who was caught by Ash but given to her not only because of her Electabuzz pride but also because of Misty's fear of bugs (at least in Misty's mind), and Elekid, the pre-evolved form of her favorite team's mascot.

Casey gave a smirk before shouting, "Yep, tonight is the night that the Starmie are going down! And now, our team song! Everybody!

"If you think you'll win the game, you are in for quite a shock!

Electabuzz will electrify, and then we'll rule and also rock!"

Tracey simply stood there in confusion, as he left Ash and Misty right before the two of them left for the Johto region, thus didn't get the chance to meet Casey or get familiar with her Electabuzz fever.

Fortunately for the Pokémon watcher, Misty stepped in and put a stop to Casey's singing. "That's enough," Misty said. "Why don't I introduce you to Tracey?"

"It is very nice to meet you," Tracey said with a smile.

"Is he your boyfriend?" Casey whispered to Misty.

Misty shoved Casey away. "Why does everyone I introduce Tracey to think I am his boyfriend?" she asked. "I am twelve, and he is almost eighteen!" It seems like almost everyone forgot that fact before jumping to that conclusion.

"Good to meet you Tracey," Casey said to Misty's FRIEND. "Not to be rude or anything, but I am really dying to see what the battlefield looks like!"

And so, the group of trainers headed to the pool where Misty hosted all of her gym battles, and Casey was impressed. "Wow!" Casey said. "I have never seen a battlefield so beautiful!"

"Thanks," Misty said. "It looks good, but it is even better to battle on it!"

However, before the trainers could take their positions on the battlefield, a Pokémon flew into the gym via an open window in the see-through roof!

"Who's that Pokémon?" Tracey asked.

"I don't know," Casey said.

Misty, however, recognized the Pokémon from one of the emails that Ash sent her before earning his first gym badge in the Hoenn region. "It's a Pelipper," Misty said. The Pelipper flew closer to the group of trainers, and Misty saw that it had a letter in its mouth. The Pelipper dropped the letter into Misty's hands as she looked at the envelope. It was addressed to her. "I've never had anything delivered by Pelipper before," Misty said as she opened the letter up and read it aloud.

"Dear Misty,

I will wait for you at the lighthouse.

Meet me at 2:00PM. Don't be late.

Georgio."

The Pelipper soon flew off as Misty read through the letter.

"Is Georgio someone you know?" Casey asked.

"Maybe he is a secret admirer," Tracey pointed out.

"Good point," Misty said.

"Wait a minute!" Casey shouted, drawing the attention of the Cerulean City gym leader. "Maybe this Georgio guy is someone who battled you here at the gym and lost! And now he wants revenge!"

"Do you really think that is possible, Casey?" Tracey asked.

"Well, I have met a lot of sore losers," Casey said.

"If you don't mind coming with me, Casey," Misty said, "I would certainly like to find what all of this is about."

"Of course," Casey said.

"Ganu!" Meganium said in agreement with his trainer.

"Alright then," Misty said, "is it okay if you watch over the gym while Casey and I are gone?" she asked Tracey.

"Okay," Tracey said.

And so, the two girls headed out of the gym and towards the lighthouse…

Meanwhile, in a shadier part of town, Cassidy and Butch were discussing their target. "So, the Delcatty boy is here in Cerulean City," Cassidy said to her partner.

"Yep," Butch said, "now all we have to do is find him and get that Delcatty. Then we will be golden with the boss…"

The two of them threw off their black cloaks. "Let's nab ourselves a Pokémon!" Cassidy declared.

"Right," Butch said in agreement.

Meanwhile, Casey and Misty were standing in front of the Cerulean City lighthouse, waiting for this Georgio person. Misty was starting to get nervous, but Casey assured her that she and Meganium would be standing by her side. They then saw a big burly man with a beard.

"Do you think it might be him?" Casey asked.

"I dunno," Misty said, "I've never seen anyone like him."

But as the two trainers were talking, the bearded man simply walked past them. "False alarm," Casey said.

"Toge pree!" Togepi, ever present in Misty's arms, chirped as the two of them suddenly heard a greeting.

"Hello there," the voice said as Casey and Misty looked towards the source of the voice, a brown-haired boy with blue clothes who looked to be around Misty's age. He was clearly blushing. "I, uh…"

Casey then went up to the boy. "Are you the one who sent the letter? Speak up, come on!"

"Uh, yeah," the boy, now revealed to be Georgio, said.

"Well, let me tell you something, smart guy!" Casey shouted. "Just because you lost a Pokémon battle does NOT mean you have the right to take it out on one of my friends!"

"Are you crazy?" Georgio asked Casey, having no idea why the Johtonian would jump to such a conclusion.

"Just crazy enough not to knock that crazy little head of yours into next Tuesday!" Casey said as she held her yellow and black club high enough for him to see it.

"Calm down, Casey," Misty said as she put her hand onto Casey's shoulder. Casey looked up at Misty before the Cerulean Gym Leader explained, "This boy does not look familiar, either. I have never seen him in my life before."

"Uh," Casey said before collecting herself and asking, "So what is this all about, kid, did you send Misty the letter or not?"

"I did," Georgio admitted.

"Well then," Misty said, "what for?"

"Well I," Georgio stuttered, "I was wondering if I…"

"Speak up," Casey said.

"Misty, I was…"

"Spit it out…" Casey told Georgio.

"If you would… care to go out on a date with me!" Georgio shouted. Misty and Casey both stared at the boy for a while in silence. "I would totally be happy and honored and stuff…"

Misty continued to stare at Georgio as she processed what he just said. And then, she screamed, all while Togepi was chirping and waving her arms without a care in the world.

Once Misty recovered from her screaming fit, Georgio explained everything to the girls. "So this is what it was all about," Casey said as she looked at the envelope. "You have been admiring Misty from afar, which is really kind of mushy if you ask me."

"Well Misty, what is your answer?" Georgio asked.

"Uh…" Misty said.

"Well, he seems nice," Casey said.

"I… I can't," Misty said. "I am sorry."

"Oh well," Casey said, "shot down."

"Misty?" Georgio asked. "Is there someone else that you like?"

Misty simply gasped at the question before turning away. Sure, there was one person that she liked, a person who was all the way in the Hoenn region doing his own thing right now, but she wasn't sure if it was at that level…

All of a sudden, a burst of energy formed as Psyduck popped out of his Pokéball. "Psy?" Misty was confused as to why Psyduck would do this, but then she saw him put his flippers above his beak as if to contain his laughter.

Misty growled upon seeing this before pulling Psyduck's Pokéball out. "Return!" she said before returning Psyduck to his Pokéball. "That's it!" Misty said. "I am getting out of here!"

"Uh, Misty?" Georgio said as he reached out into his pocket and pulled out a pair of tickets. "I have two prime eat seats to tonight's Starmie-Electabuzz game at Cerulean Stadium. I mean, I don't know if you like baseball, but if you do, maybe you would consider going out with me."

"No way!" Casey shouted as she went up close to her. She couldn't believe her luck; she had headed to the gym in the hopes of getting enough money to get a ticket to the Electabuzz game tonight, not caring about where they were, and she somehow had run into a boy who happened to have a pair of tickets for the best seats in the house! "You have eat seats for tonight's Electabuzz game? Totally cool!"

"Eat seats?" Misty asked, confused. "What are those?"

"Yeah," Casey said as she closed her eyes and explained, "You get to eat fancy shmancy food and watch the game all at the same time!" She reopened them and looked at Misty. "It's just the best!"

"Hey," Georgio said to Misty, "I just got a really great idea." He then pulled out a Pokéball and suggested that the two have a battle. "If I lose, I will go away and you will never have to deal with me ever again," he explained, "but if I win, you will have to let me take you out to the ball game tonight!"

Misty was hesitant to do it, but Casey, all smiles, said, "Go for it, Misty! Those tickets are hard to come by!" The young Johtonian then got an idea. "How about this? If you lose you have to take ME to the game instead! Deal?"

"No way," Georgio rejected, "the terms are like I said!" Casey hung her head low in defeat.

Misty, seeing no other choice, smiled. "Okay then," the Cerulean Gym gym leader said, "it is a deal."

"Thank you for accepting my challenge, Misty," Georgio said.

"You're welcome," Misty said. "I figured that I should. After all, as I am a gym leader I have to accept every challenge that comes my way, no matter what!"

"Great!" Georgio said, "Let's get to it!"

And so, the battle between Georgio and Misty began, with Casey acting as the referee. "The following will be a one-on-one Pokémon battle, and I, Casey, will be the judge!"

"Togeprie!" Togepi chirped, sitting on the head of Casey's Meganium. She was obviously rooting for her mother to win the battle.

"Alright you two, get ready!" Casey commanded. "Let the battle begin!"

Georgio and Misty both sent out their Pokémon, with Misty deciding to battle with her Corsola, and Georgio battling with his Delcatty.

"Wow!" Casey said. "A Delcatty!"

"A what?" Misty asked. She'd never heard of such a Pokémon. It seemed like a Pokémon from the Hoenn region, and if it was, she was certain that Ash hasn't seen such a Pokémon yet.

"A Delcatty," Casey repeated, "the Prim Pokémon. It is quite special."

"Well," Misty said, "So is my Corsola!"

"Corsola! Corsola!" Corsola said as she jumped up and down, eager to start the battle.

"You ready Delcatty?" Georgio asked his Pokémon. Delcatty meowed, showing that she was just as ready to battle as Corsola was. "Alright then! Now go get 'em!"

"Nya!" Delcatty meowed as it charged towards Corsola. However, before Delcatty could get to Corsola, a metal claw came out of nowhere and grabbed the Prim Pokémon! All three trainers gasped as they looked up and saw who grabbed the Pokémon: a pair of criminals very familiar with Misty from her time traveling with Ash! They trapped Delcatty in a container as everyone else watched on.

Casey screamed as Georgio looked up at the villains and shouted, "Delcatty!"

"Alright, prepare for trouble!" the blonde woman said.

"And while you are at it, make it double!" the green haired man said.

"Here is our mission, so you better listen!" both criminals said at the same time.

"To infect the world with devastation!" the woman said.

"To blight all peoples in every nation!" the man said.

"To denounce the goodness of truth and love."

"To extend our wrath to the stars above."

"Cassidy!"

"And Butch!"

"Team Rocket circles the earth day and night!"

"So surrender to us now, or fight, fight, fight!"

The trainers on the ground and their Pokémon gasped. "Biff and Cassidy!" Misty shouted, remembering her encounters with them from the time they got Officer Jenny to falsely imprison Ash and the time that they turned many Pokémon (including Pikachu and Togepi) against their trainers to the time they published phony fortune telling books and the time they helped capture a mother and baby Lugia!

"It is BUTCH!" Butch shouted. "THE NAME IS BUTCH! HAVE YOU GOT THAT?!"

"Sorry to grab and go kids, but you know us," Cassidy said. "Business as usual!"

"Oh, and thanks a lot for the Delcatty, kid!" Butch said.

"NO FAIR!" Casey shouted.

"Yeah," Georgio said, "give Delcatty back or else!"

"Or else what, tough guy?" Cassidy asked, not taking Georgio's threats seriously.

"See ya!" Butch said as the two of them jumped from the railing they were on before gliding away on hang gliders.

But Georgio was not giving up his Pokémon without a fight. "Go, Pelipper!" he said while sending out his Water/Flying Pokémon. Pelipper gave out a cry as it followed Cassidy and Butch on the orders of his trainer.

Pelipper flew towards the two Team Rocket members and pushed itself on the hang gliders. "Ugh!" Cassidy said. "What is that thing?"

"I dunno," Butch said, "but prepare for a crash landing!"

And a crash landing the two evil-doers got as they headed back towards the earth. The two of them groaned, which allowed Misty, Casey, and Georgio to find them. "Pelipper, Water Gun, now!" Pelipper used the Water attack while they were down, and when they eventually met eye to eye, Georgio asked if they had enough yet.

"Okay, okay, we give up," Cassidy said.

"Just let us catch our breath, will ya?" Butch asked. They then got back on their feet, with Butch holding a Pokéball high above his head. "Ha! Faked you out, losers!"

"You two have stolen your last Pokémon!" Misty declared. "So get ready for battle!"

"Right behind ya!" Casey said, ready to help her friend get Delcatty back.

"I choose you, Sableye!" Cassidy shouted.

"You too, Mightyena!" Butch said as the two of them sent out dark Pokémon from the Hoenn region. Misty had heard about the Pokémon from emails that Ash sent her from the Hoenn region.

"Okay, Corosla," Misty said,

"Go for it, Meganium!" Casey said as the two Pokémon charged the battlefield, with Togepi hanging on for dear life to Meganium's antennae.

"Sableye, use Fury Swipes, right now!" Cassidy ordered. The purple gremlin-like Pokémon went up to Corsola and started scratching her. But Corsola leaned back to dodge the attack. Misty ordered her Corsola to use Spike Cannon, and the attack somehow affected the Dark/Ghost Pokémon.

"Mightyena! Tackle! Now!" Butch ordered the evolved form of Poochyena. Mightyena rushed towards Meganium, and on Casey's signal, the grass-type brontosaurus dodged the attack. Togepi was holding on for dear life, but her little hands could not hold on anymore as she flew off. "WHAT?!" Butch asked.

"Meganium, Razor Leaf!" Casey told her starter Pokémon. Leaves started to come out of Meganium's flower, which hurt Mightyena pretty badly. "Yeah! That is how it's done!"

"Sableye, use Shadow Ball!" Cassidy said, neither she nor Butch noticing that Togpei somehow ended up at their feet. Meanwhile, Sableye charged up a Shadow Ball and launched it right at Corsola!

"Dodge it, Corsola!" Misty told her Pokémon. Corsola jumped up and dodged the attack before using Tackle on Sableye, somehow hitting it… again. Sableye went spinning towards his trainer, landing at Cassidy's feet. Togepi started to wave her arms back and forth.

"Mightyena, Iron Tail!" Butch said as his Pokémon's tail grew hard, ready to strike at Meganium. It hurt the Johto Pokémon!

"Meganium, you are almost there!" Casey encouraged. "Now give it a Body Slam!" Meganium grunted before jumping up and falling down on the Dark Pokémon and knocking him back towards Butch, landing on the opposite side of Togepi, who was waving her little arms and chirping to a beat. "One more strike, and they are out, Meganium! Let's close this one out with a Solar Beam!"

Cassidy, Butch, Sableye, and Mightyena could only watch on in horror as the beam of light came hurtling towards them, not noticing that Togepi's arms were glowing, ready to unleash a Metronome attack! A massive double play explosion happened before the Team Rocket members were sent flying!

"Cassidy…" Butch asked, the two of them and their Pokémon having burn marks all over their bodies, "do you by any chance have a strange feeling of déjà vu?"

"If you mean we've seen this move before," Cassidy said, "then yes…"

"Blasting off again!" both of them said before dinging off into the horizon.

Meanwhile, Georgio managed to get Delcatty out of the metal container the villains put her in. "I am glad to see that you are safe, Delcatty," Georgio said. Delcatty meowed.

"Hey, pretty lucky for you that Casey was on your side, huh Georgio?" Misty said.

"You bet," the male said, "that was amazing!"

He then thanked Casey. "Don't mention it," Casey said.

"So where were we?" Georgio asked.

The group was standing in front of the lighthouse ready to start the battle. For real this time. Georgio and his Delcatty looked into the eyes of Misty and her Corsola as Casey raised her arms. "We will now continue the battle between Misty and Georgio. Begin!"

"Delcatty, use Double Edge! Go!" Georgio commanded. Delcatty charged at Corsola, dealing a good amount of damage to Misty's Pokémon and knocking her backwards.

"Corsola, Tackle now!" Misty told her Pokémon. Corsola obeyed and slammed herself into Delcatty, returning the favor. Delcatty landed gracefully before being told to use Iron Tail. Delcatty's tail grew hard before she swung it at Corsola, dealing massive damage. "Corsola!" Misty shouted out in concern for her Pokémon.

"Delcatty, use Double Edge!" Georgio commanded, with the Prim Pokémon hurting Corsola even more.

"Oh my," Casey said as she watched the battle unfold. "Georgio's Delcatty is one tough customer!"

"Meg/Toge!" Meganium and Togepi said in agreement as they watched the battle rage on… Misty told Corsola to use Spike Cannon as pointy bits came out of the Water/Rock Pokémon's horns. Delcatty dodged and used Double Team on Georgio's command, making clones of herself and making things even harder for Misty!

"Corsola! Use Spike Cannon!" Misty said. Corsola used the attack and spun around, hoping to hurt the real one. But she wasn't having any luck… Corsola was just as overwhelmed as her trainer was.

"Alright, Delcatty! Ice Beam, now!" Georgio said. Just then, one of the Delcatty glowed an icy blue color as the other Delcatty vanished. Delcatty unleashed a beam of cold energy right at Corsola!

"Oh no!" Misty said. "Corsola!"

"That is fierce!" Casey said as the Ice Beam drew closer and closer. A huge explosion occurred before Corsola was revealed to have seemingly fainted.

"It looks like a date!" Georgio said with confidence. "I win!"

"Not so fast," Misty said before Corsola recovered her health on Misty's orders. The battle was still on. Soon, Corsola was up and bouncing before using Spike Cannon. Delcatty was caught off guard like Georgio was, so she could not evade the attack. Misty commanded Corsola to use Tackle while the Prim Pokémon was down, and soon, Delcatty collapsed in front of Georgio!

"Delcatty is down for the count!" Casey declared. "Which means Corsola takes the match, and the winner of this battle is Misty!"

"Toge pree!" Togepi chirped, happy that her mama won the battle.

Misty wiped sweat off of her forehead before going up to Corsola and congratulating her. Corsola was jumping up and down, happy to give her trainer the victory over Georgio.

"You did the best you could, Delcatty," Georgio said to his Pokémon while rubbing her fur. "Maybe next time." Delcatty meowed as Georgio looked up to the gym leader. "Well, it looks like I am going to have to take a permanent rain check on that date, Misty."

"Sorry, Georgio," Misty said, "but we can definitely have another battle sometime."

"Yeah, sure," Georgio said.

Casey then slid up to Georgio. "So, um, you think you might be interested in selling ME one of those Electabuzz tickets, fella?"

"How about we battle?" Georgio suggested. "And if you win, then you can have the ticket, Casey!"

Casey gasped and immediately accepted his offer. "Oh yeah!" she said. "And to keep in the spirit of the Electabuzz, I'll use… ELEKID!" She sent out the pre-evolved form of Electabuzz as Georgio declared what Pokémon he would be using.

"And I will be using Delcatty one more time!" Georgio said.

However, Misty grew concerned over his choice. "Won't Delcatty be tired?" she asked. "I mean, she DID just battle my Corsola."

"It will be okay," Georgio reassured her. "She will be fine, won't you, Delcatty?"

Delcatty meowed in approval. The battle soon began as Casey got the first move. She told Elekid to use Thunder Punch! Elekid ran towards Delcatty spinning his arms around before putting one of his arms ahead of him in order to punch the Prim Pokémon.

"Delcatty, dodge and use Double Edge!" Georgio said. Delcatty jumped up into the air and charged right at Elekid, knocking him backwards.

But he got back onto his feet. "Alright, Elekid," Casey said, "give 'em a Thunderbolt!" Elekid bowed his head and spun his arms around as sparks flew from his pluglike horns. They fired at Delcatty, but the Pokémon used Double Team on her trainer's orders to avoid damage. "You can do it, Elekid!" Casey said as he kept trying to find the real opponent, but failed to do so.

"Delcatty, Iron Tail!" Georgio said as Delcatty's tail grew hard as steel and hit Elekid in the face! Elekid stood there a moment before falling backwards.

"Elekid is unable to battle!" Misty declared. "Which means Delcatty wins, and this battle goes to Georgio!"

"Togepree!" Togepi chirped, still on Meganium's head.

"Don't worry, Elekid," Casey said, upset about her loss. "You will live on, but I am not sure that is an option for me." She returned the Pokémon to his Pokéball. "Well, I might as well go home and DREAM about getting primo tickets for next season…"

Georgio then did something that surprised the young Electabuzz fan. He went up to her and gave her one of the tickets! "Here you go, Casey," he said.

Casey was confused by Georgio's actions. "Really?" she asked. "Didn't I lose?"

"You did," Georgio said, "but I have an extra ticket anyway. And if it wasn't for your help, I wouldn't have gotten my Delcatty back from those crooks."

Casey cheered and jumped into the air. "Go, Go, Electabuzz go!" She chanted before she went up to Misty and shook her hand. "None of this would have happened if I hadn't come to your gym, Misty!" She then went to Georgio and said, "You're! The! Best!"

"It was my pleasure, Casey," Misty said.

"Toge toge pree!" Togepi chirped as Misty reached up for her "daughter", ready to head back to the gym after a long day.

After saying goodbye to Casey and Georgio, Misty returned to the gym and went to check her emails after sending Tracey off back to the lab. Ash had just won his third gym badge, but with one of the biggest asterisks next to it since the early days, to the point where Ash Ketchum himself wondered if he even deserved it. She responded with:

Hey Ash, glad to hear that you have won your third gym badge in the Hoenn region, even if Wattson accidently gifted you the battle. I am also proud to hear you admit it was a fluke, something that your 10-11 year old self would never do, as more than half of your badges were won by questionable means. Anyways, life at the gym is going good. Casey decided to come and visit the gym today, and we got a letter delivered by a Pelipper. Anyways, the letter told us to meet the sender at the lighthouse. We soon met the sender, and it turns out he was a secret admirer of mine who wanted to take me out to the Electabuzz/Starmie game that was happening tonight. I agreed to go if I lost a battle. I wasn't really interested in going, but Casey sure was. After a brief interruption from Cassidy and Biff of Team Rocket, we got to battle: my Corsola against his Delcatty. Delcatty was a tough opponent, but Corsola managed to pull through and win me the battle. Casey then stepped up to the plate to battle Georgio, as she wanted one of the tickets. Even though her Elekid lost to his (weakened) Delcatty, he decided to take her out to the ball game anyways because of her passion and helping him get Delcatty back from Team Rocket. Maybe it will become something more soon ;) Anyways, talk to you later, Ash!

She read over the email before hitting "SEND". Just then, she got an email from someone she wasn't expecting: dfirstbornwaterflower016. That must be her sister's email address. The subject of the email was "Good News", so she decided to check it out.

Hey, Misty. We are, like, almost complete with our little tour and are almost ready to come back to the gym. We have heard that you are, like, doing a really good job taking care of the gym, and thought that you would like a little break. So we are, like, inviting you on the last leg of our trip on Lake May in the Hoenn region. If you are concerned about the gym, we, like, contacted a friend of ours and asked if he could look over the gym for a couple of days. He agreed, and he should be there soon. We also sent you tickets to where we are, so we will expect you soon!

Your Sensational Sisters.

Misty could not believe what she was reading. Her sisters were giving her some time off from the gym? She almost pinched herself before looking over to Togepi. "Well, Togepi," she said, "looks like we are going to the Hoenn region!"

"Toge!" Togepi chirped with a happy look on her face. Misty was happy too, as that meant that she might see her friend again.

And so, Misty got ready for her trip to the Hoenn region, where she hoped to see an old friend again for the first time in a long time… What adventures await her in the Hoenn region? Stay tuned!

TO BE CONTINUED…
