In the previous chapter…

"Excuse me, Uncle. Can I request two ambulances this time?"

"Two?"

"One for my apartment residents and one for me. Because, Uncle, I may soon jump off the roof of my apartment. So please forgive me for all of my mistakes for all this time."

"…What the hell happened there?"

"I just know the conclusion of my game, Uncle."

Uh-huh. Absolutely correct.

The conclusion of this honesty game, which turned out to be a bloody battle, was that those five devilish kids would never get along forever. In short? In short, Frieda was simply wasting her time.

A DISCUSSION

By Josephine Rose99

.

.

.

Eren and Mikasa rarely went to the psychology faculty area. Apart from the fact that they had no business here, the psychology faculty was fairly distant from their department, Mechanical Engineering. However, today's routine was different. Before the first lesson began, Frieda asked these two to come to her department as soon as they had some free time. Even though they had no idea why the girl called them, Eren and Mikasa chose to follow.

"HUUUWWAAAAAAAAAAANNGGGG! I'VE HAD ENOUGH! I CAN'T STAND THEM ANYMORE!"

So this was what they got. The weeping screams of Loke's apartment owner.

Eren had purposefully picked the backyard of the psychology faculty library to escape the mob, but it was pointless. Frieda's sobbing was too loud.

Mikasa was lost for words. Frieda had not yet spoken when she caught her eyes, but she was already weeping hysterically like crazy. She was obliged to bear the shame of the gaze of everyone surrounding them.

"Frieda Nee-san, calm down!" her younger sister, Historia, attempted to calm her older sister down before they became a public spectacle.

If you wonder why she was there, you could say it was due to their sibling bond. Furthermore, the college of medicine and health where she studies was located close to the faculty of psychology.

Eren let out a heavy sigh. If this was the case, they would not make any progress. It was best if the three of them calmed Frieda down before the dean of the faculty of psychology dismissed them.

.

10 minutes later…

.

.

Frieda stopped sobbing. But that does not imply she was fine. Her expression was still morose. Her face got even more melancholy as she informed them about her silly idea from four days before, a.k.a the honesty game.

Mikasa was the first to respond once she had finished delivering her story.

"Actually, I wasn't sure that silly game would make their relationship better, but I didn't expect it to end that badly…"

"So how's Hitch now?" Historia asked.

"Black-and-blue. I had to send her to hospital. But yesterday she came back," Frieda said with a harsh snort.

"Do you have another plan to deal with them, Nee-san? I mean, you haven't given up, right?" Eren's question immediately made Frieda's forehead twitch in annoyance.

"What plan? In fact, I think I'm going to kill myself soon because of them!" she shouted fiercely. Then she glanced at Historia and pointed at her face, "This is all your fault, Historia!"

"Huh? Why me?" Historia could not believe that she was being used as a scapegoat.

"Of course it's your fault! Weren't you the one who brought them to my apartment!? If I'd known they were those damn devil brats who always disturbed my peaceful life, I wouldn't have accepted them in the first place!"

"Well… I had no idea they would act like that either…" she said, not wanting to be accused. Besides, wasn't Historia correct? She had nothing to do with her friends' absurd behavior at Frieda's place, "But, Nee-san, isn't there a positive side to their existence? I mean, since they've been living in your apartment, hasn't the atmosphere in the apartment become more… alive?"

Frieda's emotions skyrocketed as a result of Historia's statement.

Really? Frieda was surprised to learn that the girl in front of her shared her DNA!

"What exactly do you mean 'more alive'!? I even saved the hospital phone number because of them!" Frieda banged the table so hard that the innocent table broke here and there.

Historia could only giggle and scratch her head.

Eren, on the other hand, resumed his thought process. He seldom utilized his brain, but this time he did it well. Although he didn't anticipate his boyhood buddy, Armin, to bother Frieda to this extent, he still needed to assist Frieda before the girl jumped from Loke's peak.

That's when he discovered something.

"Nee-san, speaking about the five of them, not all of them detest each other, right? As far as I can see, Hitch's connection with Connie and Sasha is OK."

Except for Eren, everyone appeared to hear a 'click' in their minds at once.

"That's right. Annie and Hitch are the same, correct? They've been friends since they were kids after all," Mikasa agreed.

"Hmm... you guys got a point there. Despite Annie's frequent arguments with Connie and Sasha, their relationship isn't all that horrible. Armin is the same. Your best buddy sometimes helps them both with their assignments. They occasionally hang out together in their spare time..." Frieda also cast one vote in support of Eren's statements.

However, they soon noticed something. Something that became the major source of Frieda's dreary life after inheriting the flat from her father. Their expressions altered. Their expressions were bitter, as if they had hit the mark.

"So... the real problem between them is..." Eren was terrified to say something he did not want to say.

Historia's eyebrows twitched. She knew exactly what Eren did not want to say.

"Armin and... Annie..."

"…"

"…"

"…"

"Have you ever seen them casually chatting together, Nee-san?" Mikasa was quite interested about the response to her own question.

"If 'casual chatting' means Annie smashing Armin's body so brutally, then definitely yes. In reality, this happens quite often."

"Wouldn't it be much better if you focused on fixing their relationship first?" Historia responded lightly.

Okay. Maybe Frieda should consider deleting Historia's name from the family card.

"How could you say that so easily? Do you believe their megalodon-and-field-rat connection will turn into best friends so smoothly as it is in your favorite soap operas?" Frieda's wrath struck the table once more.

Damn it! So this was how everything came out in the end, right? She believed that sharing the evil doings of the five demon children with their pals would yield effects. Frieda perhaps thought too naively.

If this was the case, it appeared there was only one option.

"Okay! I suppose I'll have to kick one of them out of my flat!" she came to a decision.

The three juniors in front of her lifted their brows.

Kicking Armin and Annie out of Loke's apartment? What sort of a foolish idea was that?

Mikasa quickly responded,"Huh? What are you saying? That's impossible."

"W-why impossible?"

"Had you forgotten? The university has hired two rooms at your apartment for him. As far as I know, the campus also compensated you extra. If you let Armin go, you'll lose more money, right? Because, as far as I recall, you use the money to refurbish the apartment amenities, right?"

"Uurghh…"

Damn! She completely forgot about that!

Mikasa was correct. The campus's compensation package was not small. Actually, because it was too much, Frieda utilized the remainder as "an additional source for her wallet." This was quite frustrating! If her father had given her more money, she would not have needed Armin to survive!

Oh, of course this was rubbish. Everyone also knows that Frieda was constantly in financial trouble as a result of her silly passion of purchasing branded bags and cosmetics that cost so much money that you shake your head.

"Alright! Then I will change my target to Annie!" If Armin could not be wiped out, she just needed to shift her target, right?

Unfortunately, her idea was rejected again this time. This time, Historia was the culprit.

"That's even MORE impossible."

"HUH? WHY IS IT EVEN MORE IMPOSSIBLE!?" Frieda raised her voice.

Historia shuddered for a moment. Then she cleared her throat, trying to neutralize the murderous aura from her own sister, "Are you stupid or what? Annie organizes an exhibition in front of Loke once a month, right? How much profit do you get from it?"

…Ah.

FRIEDA ALSO FORGOT ANNIE'S MONEY MAGNETIC ABILITY!

Historia's opinion was further strengthened by Eren's words, "Yes, that's right. Besides, many art experts, art critics, and even foreign tourists come just to see her work. I think you must also get a big profit from Annie's exhibition."

"Basically, if you kick her out, you'll be the one who loses," Mikasa replied calmly.

"Then what should I do? I can't stand having to deal with your buddies' pranks anymore! Don't you understand how I feel? Imagine! I'm a psychology student! But, instead of becoming a psychologist, I believe I will soon be a patient of one in my faculty!"

The three of them sweatdropped when they heard Frieda's complaints. Was the situation at Loke really bad?

Eren felt responsible for Frieda's sadness in Loke, given that his best buddy was one of the causes. He seemed to have to become involved right away at the site.

"H-how about we come and see the situation first? After that, we can plan our next move…" he said, trying to stop Frieda from sobbing. It was natural. They had been the center of attention as a result of the monstrous girl's cries.

Naturally, the stalker-turned-lover readily agreed with Eren's plan.

"Not bad, though."

Historia also agreed and offered support, "Then, Sis, we'll come to your place this afternoon. Oh, I'll bring Ymir along as well."

Ymir?

That tall, chatty girl who loved to meddle in other people's romantic lives? Many people said she was the second Hitch. That wasn't an incorrect analogy at all.

Unfortunately, Eren, who had a bad history with the girl, narrowed his eyes.

Why did Historia suddenly want to bring Ymir? Okay, he understood Historia and Ymir's relationship as siblings, but Ymir had nothing to do with the five demon residents of Loke on the 13th floor.

"Why do you bring your personal bodyguard with us?" Eren inquired, giving a disapproving expression.

"She's not my bodyguard," Historia said sarcastically, "Besides, the more reinforcements, the faster the problem would be solved!"

Mikasa sweatdropped when she heard Historia's comments.

Mikasa wasn't sure if inviting Ymir would help the situation. Her presence could worsen the problem, precisely. But witnessing Frieda's dazzling glance and her renewed zeal, she decided to let it go this time.

"O-okay! I'll give you guys cookies and chamomile tea when you guys arrive!" Frieda cheered.

Friedrich Street No. 10A Block 1.

Goslar District, Shiganshina City.

Loke Apartment.

.

Loke's flat towered over four third-year PIT students, who were now standing and staring up. They never got weary of staring at Frieda's flat décor. Elegant and classy. It was not surprising that Loke had a clean environment, a lovely garden, and kind neighbors. At least if all of the 13th-floor inhabitants' acts were not counted.

Eren took a minute to observe each floor before saying, "When was the last time we came here?"

"Umm… two months ago?" Mikasa felt unsure about her recall.

"I came here about two weeks ago. My father wanted me to take care of Nee-san who had a fever at the time," Historia offered a different answer.

The response from her buddy startled Ymir somewhat, "Really? A woman like her who always pays attention to her health can also get sick?"

"She normally does. However, since our friends moved in here, her health has frequently deteriorated."

The three of them chuckled dryly, as if they had heard an unfunny joke from an old man. That was certainly not in dispute. Frieda's eyes, which were known for their beauty, have transformed into panda eyes since the five demon children entered the apartment.

Annie and her barbarism. Armin's crazy experiments. Connie and his bike. Sasha and her poor attempt at cooking. Finally, there's Hitch and her pervert behavior. It was a true celebration in Loke. With all of the chaos, it seemed astonishing that Frieda was still alive.

"Let's hope we don't witness their foolish actions when we enter this building," Ymir knew that every time she came here, she would run into problems caused by them. But there was no harm in hoping, right?

Ymir's hope had just become everyone's.

There was no time to unwind and appreciate the view from Loke Apartment. They had to visit Frieda quickly. If they took too long, Frieda's chamomile tea would go cold.

So, this was the first step towards bringing Frieda's life into harmo—

"Huh? What's this? A lot of photos of naked men!"

Their eyes widened in shock as they saw many children reading magazines with men's covers while just wearing underpants. The four youngsters remained locked in place. Cold sweat started to stream down their faces. It wasn't long before they recognized who was behind this unforeseen scenario.

Seriously? They had just entered the first floor, and this was what they found!?

"GYAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

Before the kids grew into perverts like Hitch, they swiftly threw the immoral mags! The kids who watched the magazines disappearing to who knows where could only be shocked.

Seriously, Eren and the others could not believe it! Hitch, you pervert! Why did she leave her silly magazines on the first floor although she lives on the 13th floor?

Ymir, her cheeks heated from suppressing her rage, tugged one of the children's collars toward her. Do not blame her. Magazines with mosaic censorship were not yet ready to be read by naive children!

"DO YOU REALIZE WHAT BOOK YOU WERE READING, YOU IDIOTS!?"

Uh-oh. She was furious.

The kid he was pulling blinked a few times, a sign that he didn't understand.

"E-Ekh!? We just saw it! Don't know who put it here!"

'Don't know', he said?

That didn't apply to the four of them. Without any further clues, they knew who the culprit was.

It seemed like they had to fly up to the 13th floor right now before saying hello to Frieda.

.

.

Meanwhile, in the living room on the 13th floor...

.

.

The suspect in 'The Mystery of the Owner of a Porn Magazine on the First Floor of Loke Apartment' was chatting with the two suspects in 'The Mystery of Frieda Reiss Who Repeatedly Planned Serial Murders on the 13th Floor.' They had no idea that a tornado was coming to hit where they were. The topic of 'Connie was rejected by a girl again' sounded more interesting to discuss than Hitch's crazy act of leaving her magazine in the wrong location.

"Hahahahaha! Are you serious, Sasha?" Hitch clutched her stomach, which ached from laughter.

"Yeah! Isn't that crazy, Hitch? Connie's really too reckless!" Sasha pointed to Connie, who was gazing at her intently.

"Reckless? That's not recklessness, but a sign of self-confidence!" Connie argued.

"What do you mean 'confident'? You've been rejected twice by the same woman, yet you continue to flirt with her. Don't you feel any shame?"

Connie could not believe it. How could he be described as shameless by a lady who frequently slept in class and loved to steal food from the chef on her campus?

"Shut up! That's a manly effort to win a woman's heart! And I don't wanna be insulted by someone less worthy than me! Especially from someone like you!" He yelled fiercely.

Before Sasha could drop her fist on the face of the young man next to her, her attention was drawn to a group of people who had just exited the elevator. The sound of the elevator approaching drew Connie and Hitch's attention. Who on earth was interrupting their gossip?

Sasha narrowed her eyes, verifying the identification of the four persons. But something was off. Why did she sense a murderous aura emerging from those people?

"Hm?" Sasha was surprised. She was fairly familiar with all four of them, "Hey, aren't they…"

Connie's reaction was the same as hers, "Eren? And Mikasa?"

"Huh? Historia is also with Ym—" Hitch didn't have time to complete her sentence since the visitors yelled first.

"HIIIIIIIITTTTCCCCHHHH!"

Huh? What's happening? Why were they running so fast towards her?

"Hey, do you guys need m—GAARGH!" Eren, Mikasa, Ymir, and Historia did not allow Hitch a chance to escape. The four of them took a stance, jumped, and then kicked Hitch in the face, causing her to fly and smack the wall.

Meanwhile, Connie and Sasha were frozen in place when they witnessed it.

What the heck? Was a barbarous kick the recent warm greeting these days?

Hitch hobbled to her feet, despite the discomfort. Damn, her gorgeous face is damaged as a result of what they did! Besides, why did they kick her without any warning?

"…You bastards... I-Is this how you welcome… yo-your pal after not… seeing her for a… lo-long time?" She spoke almost out of breath.

Eren snorted. If Hitch believed he would feel sorry after kicking her, then she was mistaken, "Of course. And this is my way of welcoming you after finding your stupid, vulgar magazines on the first floor."

"Huh!? What the hell, Yeager!? What magazines are you talking about!?"

"HE'S TALKING ABOUT YOUR STUPID MAGAZINES, YOU IDIOT! THE KIDS ON THE FIRST FLOOR READ THEM, YOU KNOW! TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THAT, ASSHOLE!" Ymir yelled before Eren did. It was only natural. Ymir's emotions were at their pinnacle due to Hitch's innocence. How could she not know where she had put her ridiculous magazine?

"OOOH! You mean my favorite books? Oh my! I checked everywhere, but I left them on the first floor, huh?"

Okay, that was it. Perhaps now was the time for Eren and Ymir to use their peace weapons to finish off Hitch right away.

When the mood became tense, the sound of the elevator returned. This time, the apartment owner herself came out. She arrived with many plates of cookies and mugs of chamomile tea on a cart.

It was easy to figure out why she was on the 13th floor. She must have been perplexed as to why the juniors she invited, rather than meeting her in her room, proceeded to 13th floor, where the calamity began. After learning from the occupants on the first floor where Eren and the others had gone, she decided to follow them.

"So you kids here already?"

"Nee-san…" Historia mumbled softly.

Frieda prepared chamomile tea and pastries for the table, "You guys headed straight right here, huh? Why didn't you come into my room first?"

"Sis, report. Hitch Dreyse, one of your apartment residents, has just left her porn mags down there. We were surprised to find children reading it casually when we came earlier," Ymir instantly explained why they did not welcome Frieda when they got at Loke.

"YOU DID IT AGAIN, YOU B*TCH!?"

Frieda unleashed another Godzilla fist on Hitch. The girl flew and crashed against the wall (again). This time, she floundered on the floor, like a fish out of water.

Never mind Hitch, who nearly died there. Connie was more interested in why these people in front of him had come to Loke after all this time.

"So? It's unusual for you to come here. Looking for Armin?" Connie guessed. Besides, that was typically the main reason Eren and Mikasa came here. Who knew about Historia and Ymir?

"There's no point looking for him. He just messaged me. Said he still in the lab," Sasha replied.

"And Annie?" Historia searched around for another small, blonde-haired female.

"She was in gallery room 3 of her faculty. It's been one hour since then. I believe she'll be home shortly. Why?" Connie said.

Frieda excitedly replied to the question, "I called them all here."

Connie glared.

Frieda called these four here? Connie first assumed they wanted to see Armin so he could assist them with their courseworks, but he was mistaken. So, what was Frieda's reason for bringing these four people together?

"Nee-san? For what?" Connie questioned again, interested.

"For helping me create a peaceful life while living in this apartment before I jump off the top of this building."

Frieda's response quickly caused Sasha and Connie to misinterpret. Here's what they said:

"Huh? You intend to commit suicide!? Tsk! I warned you not to get carried away with your fantasies about meeting attractive boys, right? Were you rejected again?" Connie's foolish comments.

"I understand you had your first C, but you didn't have to commit suicide, right? Take it easy, baby!" Sasha compared her situation to Frieda's.

Frieda's four quarters twitched slightly as she heard the two statements.

What were they saying? She was rejected by a man? Frieda Reiss is a rejecter of a man's love, not the one who had been rejected! And what did Sasha say? Because she got a C? Frieda had never received a B or a C in her entire life!

How could these two brats ridicule her? Frieda couldn't help but strangle both of their necks, causing them to have difficulty breathing.

"Don't compare me to you two, you bastards. Moreover, the reason I intended to jump from the apartment was not because of something dumb as you implied. Technically, you guys the reason I thought that way…" stated the girl, stressing each syllable. Her gorgeous face, which had always been admired by men, suddenly changed into a face of a hitman.

Sasha struggled to breathe while moving Frieda's fingers away from her neck. "NeNee-san… I... ca-can't... breathe…"

If Eren, Mikasa, and Ymir chose not to interfere and instead enjoyed Frieda's cookies, Historia was a different issue. Actually, she felt terrible for Sasha and Connie, even if they deserved it, but wasn't there someone in need of assistance right now?

"Umm…"

Frieda reduced her strangle intensity when she realized Historia wanted to say something.

"Huh?"

"Sorry, Sis, but…you don't want to deal with that girl first before we discuss this?" Historia pointed at Hitch, who was still lying down on the floor not far from them.

At that very moment, Frieda and the guests realized that Hitch still hadn't woken up.

Hitch seemed completely ignored until the end. Even though she was covered in blood and on the verge of death, not a single human being around her took the initiative to help her. Should she report this to the police as an act of violence?

"Ah. I forgot about that idiot…" Frieda sweatdropped.

.

.

15 minutes after Hitch received 'treatment' (more precisely, a gorilla slap from Ymir who tried to wake her up)…

.

.

Unexpectedly, Hitch Dreyse could act like a princess at a tea party. Drinking chamomile tea elegantly. Inhaling the pleasant scent of the cookies before slowly eating them. Then, she started it with a feminine cough, as if she were an expert at initiating a discussion.

That would be awesome if we hadn't noticed her face condition.

"I see. So you want us to fix the bond between the mad scientist and the cynical-eyed barbarian?" Hitch deduced Frieda's objectives and ambitions by inviting reinforcements to this apartment.

Err… Please ignore her swollen cheeks after Ymir's slaps.

Damn that woman! One day, Hitch will return it twice as much!

"Yeah. You can do it, right?" Mikasa double-checked.

"That's easier said than done, Mikasa. Have you forgotten that you sometimes argue with Annie since my best buddy smashed Armin's tiny tail?" Hitch was irritated by Mikasa's casual attitude toward the situation on the 13th floor.

On the other side, Eren naturally supported his sweetheart, "But if you talk to her, maybe she'll listen."

"Do you believe that if you and Mikasa tried to persuade Armin, the young Einstein would quickly say yes? Huh? Don't be joking around. They haven't had a nice conversation or hung out together at a café or bar since they were freshmen. So, how are we expected to make them reconcile if their circumstance is such?"

Eren swallowed his next sentence since he had lost the discussion.

Everyone, including himself, became silent with their own thoughts.

They did not refute that Hitch's statement was true. Armin and Annie's feud had practically no resolution. Frieda would not have approached them if discussion was a viable possibility. Frieda's honesty game also failed. So, what were their next steps?

As they worked hard to discover a solution to their dilemma, they heard the voices of two familiar persons approaching them.

The two persons that caused the most problems in Loke.

"Don't walk next to me, Annie."

"That's my line, mad scientist."

"Who did you call a mad scientist just now, barbarian woman!?"

"Stop calling me a barbarian woman, blonde sissy!"

"You're blonde too, aren't you!?"

"At least I'm not a homo like you!"

"When did I ever declare myself a homo!?"

"Your every action is like announcing how abnormal you are, idiot!"

"How dare you call me who always gets a perfect GPA idiot, IDIOT!"

"Huuhh!?"

What were the two doing? They had only just arrived, and now they were arguing? The two blondes' argument caused everyone present to put on a flat face, as flat as Ymir's chest, which had not developed in the previous few years.

Actually, for the 13th-floor occupants, this debate had become a daily occurrence. Well, when was the last time there was a peaceable moment on this floor without yelling, hitting, kicking, or slamming?

Hitch, still expressionless, looked to Eren, who was also looking at her, "You were saying?"

"Hey, don't give up too fast!"

Eren's response eventually drew the attention of the two causes of Loke's issues, and they stopped squabbling for a moment.

"Huh? Eren? Mikasa?" Armin pointed to his two childhood buddies, surprised.

"Historia...and Ymir? What are you doing here?" Annie was even more surprised by Ymir's appearance. Well, it was natural for Historia to come to Loke because her sister owned the flat.

Ymir ignored the question, "What are you TWO doing? You two started squabbling as soon as you returned home from university."

"This blonde sissy started it!" Annie pointed at Armin.

"This barbarian woman started it!" Armin also pointed at Annie's face.

"HUUUHH!?"

There was absolutely no hope. In the end, helping them make up was a bad decision.

"Forget about making them make up. How about we just kill them?" Ymir quickly came to a decision and urged her companions to join her impromptu assassination plot.

Sasha snaps her fingers, "Agreed."

"I'm in. So? What's the plan?" Frieda would have been interested in this idea from the start if her juniors hadn't already disallowed it.

Mikasa sweatdropped. The corners of her mouth twitched.

"Hey, are you guys discussing a plan to kill my best friend right in front of me?"

Don't blame her. Who would arrange a brutal slaughter right in front of the target's relatives?

"Then do you have an idea yourself, genius?" Ymir responded, annoyed.

"How about we at least find one thing they both like? From there we can strategize so they can be friends," Mikasa suggested a solution.

Tsk. This was why she didn't want Ymir to be invited as well. That girl must have chosen an aggressive method of problem solving. It was difficult to understand how a gentlewoman like Historia could be friends with Ymir.

"What do they like…? As far as I know… Annie really likes art and martial arts," As Annie's close friend, Hitch was well aware of her best friend's preferences.

Eren, on the other hand, was quite knowledgeable about Armin, "While Armin likes science and experiments…"

"Other than that?" Mikasa asked again.

"Hmmm…"

Everyone fell into thought mode, with the exception of Armin and Annie, who resumed their argument. After a few seconds, Hitch and Eren had a realization. Their cheeks lit up when they discovered one of their best friends liked.

"Oh, yeah!"

"If I'm not mistaken..."

"Annie likes sweet foods!"

"Armin is quite fond of desserts."

Eren and Hitch both stated it almost at the same moment. They exchanged glances since they hadn't expected it to be that compact. However, everyone seated in the living room chairs on the 13th level wasn't expecting to have the same idea.

"That's it!" Ymir's mind was full of new ideas. She instantly stopped Armin and Annie, who were still squabbling, saying, "Hey, blonde duo!"

"Who are you calling blonde duo?" the blonde duo both said at once.

Ymir smiled slyly. Because if sweet food was truly their favorite, they would not decline her invitation.

"Are you interested in trying Niccolo's new dessert menu? My treat!"
