AN: Hi Everyone!

I have not posted my stories on any other website than Fanfiction. If you see this story or my other ones on other sites it's not me posting it.

I hope you enjoy the chapter.

TIMELINE & DATE:

I think Season 3 happens during 2021 with the last few episodes happening after Homelander's Birthday Special which is July 4th. So I put the action for the last few episodes to happen towards the end of August or first week of September.

For this story I am moving the date up by one year so Chapters 1 through 15 happen during the last week of August first week of September 2022.

My reasoning is that in the show they have a presidential election coming up. In the real world the next election is 2024 and campaigning starts around two years before the election so it fits nicely with the real world and makes future date calculations much easier for me.

As I'm starting the time skip I won't be providing exact dates only months and years and sometimes only years as we get further along the timeline.

Chapter 25.

Date: June 2024

Her hands draped slowly from her shoulders down her body brushing lightly against the lacy lavender lingerie until they gently rested on her hips to strike a mischievous pose.

Dina liked what she saw.

Lips slightly parted, eyes as big as a puppy, chin slightly tucked in she was confident she was pulling off the vulnerable damsel look, the one waiting for a strong man to save her.

She smiled in anticipation as she admired herself again.

She wasn't a big girl but she wasn't as thin as her teammates Maeve and Starlight however that came with some advantages in the shape of much fuller curves which were even more accentuated by her lingerie.

Today and this whole weekend was her weekend.

Things had been hectic in the last couple of months and really the whole past year since joining 'The Seven'.

The work schedule had been much more intense than she had expected as there was always something to do whether it was charity events, photo shoots, commercial shoots, training and a million other nonsense corporate tasks.

Of course all of it was due to Starlight who was or at least had turned into a workaholic that was up everyone's ass about everything.

And to top it all off they solved crime.

Actual real, tangible crime! In the past year and a half she had solved, worked on or assisted with more cases than in her whole half decade with the G-Men.

She worked on cases ranging from everything like pickpockets and petty thefts to kidnaping instances and horrible homicides.

Starlight had pretty much gone on a rampage working them to the bone. The only ones likely being worked more in the company were the 'Crime Analytics' division since they were the backbone to everything they did.

Still she couldn't complain.

This was after all the type of work she actually dreamed of doing, real life hero work that made a difference.

However with so much time taken up by work her other aspects of her life, relationships and needs had taken a hit.

And this weekend was the weekend she was going to re-kindle her on again and off again friendship with her long- time friend Trevor.

They had put their special agreement on hold when she joined 'The Seven' due to the inevitable increased media scrutiny. As THE Muslim superhero and a woman she couldn't afford to be seen dating around let alone in a fuck buddy relationship.

Even the moderate western Muslims that were her core supporters wouldn't accept that let alone the more conservative or radical ones, after all for them she had already sinned by being a woman who showed her face in public.

She knew what she brought to the table.

She was a token, a model minority, a diversification strategy that Vaught could point to happily and tick a box.

While for her target audience she was a convenient role model all the moderates could point to, to their daughters and heck even the more radical Arab leadership could prop her up on parade and give lip service of how accepting and modern they are.

Inwardly she had always wanted to tell them to fuck off, drop the act and be herself but she knew this was the deal she inadvertedly signed when she first put on the costume and the hijab to differentiate herself from the rest of the chaff.

She had big plans and didn't want to antagonize them any more than needed.

The superhero gig in 'The Seven' was just the starting point. She knew to truly build a legacy she had to go beyond that after all superheroes age out and fall in popularity.

She just needed another two or three years to build up her brand then she would start a foundation just like Starlight and Homelander.

That is where she could enact true change in the world. She knew that even for all the effort they had put in as a team and individual heroes the HomeLight foundation had completely dwarfed them in actually helping people in need and none of it could have been done without Starlight and Homelander's power, fame, reputation and appeal to the public.

' And if I can rope in Golden Boy into it early on…' she smiled as her thoughts drifted and turned to strike a sexier pose in the mirror.

She knew his star was going to rise like no other. He was going to be the next Homelander she was certain of that especially as 'Big Blue' was slowly taking a backseat to focus more on his space ventures.

They had a good relationship and if she could get her claws into him she knew her own ascent was that much more secure.

Ding Dong!

"Finally!" she said in anticipation as she ran to open the door.

"Trevor I hope you are well rested cause I'm about to make you wor-"

Her words stopped in her mouth as she took in the appearance of the stranger at the door.

Almost shoulder length dark brown hair, brown eyes, though one seemed slightly off, dressed in blue jeans and a bland dark hoodie zipped up that seemed to cover the neck more than usual and if she thought about it seemed the face was covered in some sort of make-up covering up one side.

It took her a moment to recognize who it was.

"You're going to have to cancel your evening with your boy toy." He said as he barged in.

"Homelander? …how did you…what the?." She babbled. "What are you doing here?"

"What? You didn't think I would know about him? I know all." He said as a matter of fact. "Now tell him you're going to re-schedule your fuck session and get dressed we need to go." He didn't even look at her but just around her apartment.

She was baffled.

"What? Where?"

Homelander paused and then turned around and smiled.

A feeling of dread crept up inside her percolating around her whole body.

"Hunting."

She didn't like that smile.

Scene Break

The SUV drove off before her ass even touched the seat making her plop down.

She barely had time to register the other occupants of the car before Homelander started talking.

"Here you go." He said and handed her a thick and heavy spandex like shirt. "Wear that under your clothes. You're not as durable as some of us so you'll need it in case anyone has a .50 cal and above…it should help you survive a straight shot."

Dina looked at him incredulously.

"What? Why? What the hell are we doing Homelander?"

He still hadn't told her anything yet. He 'forced' her to change and cancel on Trevor and then he practically dragged her and shoved her into the car only saying they are wasting time.

"Like I said we are going hunting." He said with sly smile. "Except it's not a normal hunt. Instead of animals we are hunting drug dealers, which honestly what's the difference?" He said with a chuckle. "But more to the point we are also hunting for information."

"What?" She shook her head slightly trying to understand what he was saying.

"I'll explain but first introductions. The two upfront are Yuri and Ari." He said pointing to the driver and the man in the passenger seat. Both looked to be around fifty years with serious faces. "Veterans of Vought security and 'clean up' crew."

'Killers' she thought. These men were killers and likely supes.

They only nodded in response.

"And the kid in the back is Andre, picked him up straight from God-U."

"Hi." The dark skinned boy said somewhat shyly. It was obvious the kid was uncomfortable being in this situation.

"So as to what we're doing. Like I said we are going hunting, for drug dealers, more specifically distributors, fentanyl distributors." He paused slightly. "We are going to go and ask them a few questions and you are the key to ensuring we get the answers we need. You're going to hop into their heads, read their minds and memorize all the information we need. Got it?" He stopped and looked at her expecting an answer.

She was of course skeptical. Not that the mind reading wouldn't work. It would work. Or at least it should work. She was doubtful of the information they would get but even more important she didn't understand why they were doing this and why like this instead of with 'The Seven'.

The obvious answer popping into her mind was that they were simply going to kill a whole bunch of people which would fit with the selection of the crew and what she knew of Homelander from Starlight and Maeve…but then why the kid from Godolkin?

"Right…and why are we doing this?" she mustered the courage to ask.

He smiled again which made her anxiousness rise to another level.

"Well isn't it obvious?" he asked pausing slightly once more. "They fucked around and now they are going to find out. For too long have they had free reign running around unopposed like rats they multiplied infesting our house but now it's time to 'clean house'."

She could only feel disgust from his tone and voice.

"Now put that on." He said switching to a neutral tone again. "We're almost here. We are going to hit up the Chinese first then the Russians and the Mexicans."

This was fucked. She knew it.

A lot of people are going to die tonight and she was going to be a part of it. She wasn't a killer not really, at the very least not like this 'Hunting' that was about to happened.

Putting down a madman with a gun, sure, she did what she had to do to end the threat but never like this going out of her way to hurt someone.

Yet as she felt the weight of the shirt in her hand as pondered what choice she had in participating, which was no choice at all, she couldn't help but suddenly feel conscious she was surrounded by four men.

"And you couldn't have given me this shirt when you came upstairs?"

He snorted and chuckled.

"What? And deprive the boys of your sexy lavender lingerie you spent so much time picking? What kind of cruel man do you think I am?"

'Right', she thought, 'he's also a perverted asshole.'

Scene Break

"Here you go." He said handing Dina the mask with a big X on it. "You will be Professor X. I will be Mr. Fox, Yuri Mr. Rabbit and Andre Mr. Bat. We're almost there."

He had said they were hitting up the Chinese first.

"Our target is going to be Harry 'The Handler' Lu." He said handing out the picture of middle aged Chinese man then looked out the car windows for a moment. "He's currently in the basement where they run the gambling operation getting his dick sucked."

Dina blinked for a moment and realized he was using his super-vision. They were at least a mile away. That terrified her.

"We need him alive for information the rest are expendable." He paused.

"Now pay close attention. The plan is as follows. First the kid goes and shorts out everything electric for the whole block. Once the lights are out we follow, break in, grab our guy, Professor you get in his head and get the information we need."

She'd already been told the type of questions they were going to ask. All she needed to do was remember the answers.

"Now don't worry about not being able to see." He continued. "The mask will automatically adjust visibility for you." He paused briefly again.

"We also move in formation. Yuri first, then me, then you and the kid will have our back. Do NOT break formation and Do Not use any of your powers outside of super-strength. Got it?"

'Fuck this is really happening' Dina thought while slowly nodding her head.

"Good. We're here." They were about a block away from the 'Dragon Legend' restaurant. "Kid you're up. Keep your hoody on and head down. You'll get the mask once you fry everything back to the stone-age."

"Right." He said and got out of the car. Dina could tell he was nervous and if she could tell so could Homelander.

"Is he going to be Ok?" She asked though she felt like she was mostly asking herself that question.

"He's a bit green. But he works well under pressure, takes after his dad, me and him go way back."

"His dad?" She couldn't help but ask.

"Polarity."

Before she could continue the lights went off for the block.

"Alright we're up." Homelander said putting on his mask and getting out of the car.

They followed until they were in the back alley.

They saw people were already coming out of the front of the restaurant and the rest of the building.

Dina saw Yuri smash the metal door in the back with one kick.

'Of course he's a super.' She thought absentmindedly.

The shouting in Chinese and English started almost immediately.

Even with the power outage the 'gangsters' inside could tell that something else was extra wrong with four masked people bursting in their territory.

They quickly made their way through the hallway.

Dinah saw the first man to try and block their way get his jaw separated from his face courtesy of a punch from Yuri. The second and third didn't fare much better even when they brought up their guns to shoot at them.

The math was simple. Yuri was a bulletproof supe and they were just normal humans.

With a hop and leap Mr. Rabbit kicked another assailant straight through the door leading to the basement where they encountered more yelling and shouting in the darkness.

Dina felt like the boogeyman. T

hese poor suckers had no idea what was happening to them. Men would pop out of a room confused and were immediately killed.

'Were they all part of the gang?' she thought. 'Fuck, probably not, some are just here fucking hookers or doing-'

Her thoughts were interrupted when suddenly she saw Homelander snap his hand forward and catch a spike aimed at Yuri's head.

'Bone?' Dina tensed. 'A supe!'

"Well what do we have here?" She saw a large man in the darkness with protruding bones coming out of his hands shoulders and head like a crown and armour.

She felt it. This supe was dangerous, a killer.

"You idiots picked the wrong place to-" BLAMH!

Dina saw his head explode as Homlander flicked his hand and the spike was sent back faster than she could see and faster than the supe could react.

It caught him right in his open mouth.

A shiver went down her spine. It was one thing to see memories of Homelander using his power and another to actually witness it.

Mr. Rabbit took them to a room on the right where they found the shocked form of Mr. Lau and a woman, likely a prostitute.

Luckily his pants were up.

Yuri threw enough glow sticks in the room to bring back visibility.

"Who are you people? What do you want? Money? It's in the safe over there." He said pointing to the safe by the cabinet file.

He was cornered and he knew it.

Dina saw Mr. Fox look at the woman.

"Leave." He said and she realized his voice was modulated by the mask.

The hooker took her cue and shuffled out of the room.

"Professor." Homelander said. "Are we ready to start?"

Dina took that as her cue. She concentrated on the gangster in front of her and connected to his mind.

She saw him flinch as she entered his mind and knew he was feeling as if a migraine was just starting.

Mr. Rabbit grabbed him and The Handler yelled out in pain as Mr. Rabbit pressed him against his desk.

"We are going to ask you some questions." Homelander said as Yuri pressed harder.

"Aahh..please stop I'll tell you what you want!"

"Oh, I know you will. Professor?"

Dina took a small breath in and steeled her resolve.

"Begin."

There was no going back now.

Scene Break

Twenty-seven.

They had killed twenty-seven people tonight.

Three died of her punches, the kid got one and the rest were Homelander and Yuri though it was mostly Yuri.

They had hit the Chinese, the Russians and the Cartels one right after another. The plan had been the same each time. Andre would use his magnetic abilities to short-circuit the power and any electronics then they would bust in kill everyone that got in their way until they captured and interrogated the target.

'Where do you get your supply?'

'What are the names of the distributors?'

'How do you move it?'

'Where are the Fentanyl labs?'

'Who launders your money?'

All questions related to how their operations functioned.

Once they were done the target was killed and they left.

Everything was done incredibly quick in under 10 minutes from the moment the lights went off.

Dina realized she had spent more time afterwards collaborating the information she got from their minds with the information they actually gave out.

Homelander had recorded all the answers and it was up to her to write down what she got and verify what was true and was not.

That took time and of course ironically they spent a lot of time in Saturday night traffic going from location to location.

Now, close to 1AM, they were waiting on a rundown side street in Jamaica, Queens for one Derek Dover to come home to his townhouse.

Thankfully this was their last stop.

"Go". Homelander said suddenly.

He and Yuri were out the door almost instantly. Within two leaps they dropped on Derek and his two man crew right on the front door.

Dina saw the two lackeys were dead before they hit the ground. She and the kid followed less than two seconds later with the lights dying all around them.

By time they got to the front door Homelander and Yuri had already dragged Derek and the bodies inside.

Inside she found Homelander forcefully covering Derek's mouth forcefully keeping him from screaming while pushing him onto the couch.

"Be quiet and you will live. We are not here to hurt you. Do you understand?" Surprisingly she saw Derek slowly nod and calm down as Homelander removed his hand.

They waited a few seconds in silence as no one said anything. Only staring at each other in the eerie yellow light of the glow sticks as if in a horror movie scene.

"Good." Homelander suddenly broke the silence. "You can take instructions well." He said and sat down on a chair across from the couch facing Derek.

"Apologies for killing your men, I couldn't risk any witnesses to this discussion. Everyone, you can take your masks off now. I doubt they are still working properly. Mine short-circuited when the lights went off." He said and took his mask off.

Dina followed reluctantly and so did Andrew but of course not Yuri. 'Where is he going with this?' she thought.

So far they had taken great care not to have any evidence of their identities and now he was willingly exposing them.

Derek on the other hand only looked confused.

"Who are you…and what do you want from me?" He asked as he looked at each of them.

"…Christ maybe Clark Kent was right all along…" she heard Homelander mumble. 'Who was Clark Kent?' she filed that thought for another day, another mystery to solve or better yet stay out of.

"Take a good look at her." Homelander said and threw a glow stick to her bringing more light.

Derek looked for a long moment.

"Wait…Silver Kinkaid? Wait…that can't be right…." he asked confused then turned to look at Homelander another moment too long.

Dina practically saw as his brain put together the pieces one by one as he recognized the facial features of the man in front of him even if the hair and eye colour were wrong.

"…and H..Homelander?...Oh Fuck! Oh Fuck me FUCK!"

Before the man could further descend into panic Big Blue spoke.

"Derek. Shhhhh!" he gestured calmly with his finger on his lips. "We are not here to arrest or hurt you. We are just here to talk."

That luckily had the intended calming effect on their victim.

"More specifically we are here for a proposition. A deal so to speak."

' A deal? What is he talking about?' Dina frowned. He hadn't said anything about a deal. Then again this whole night had been all fucked.

"A deal? What do you want?" Derek asked.

Dina saw Homelander reach into his hoody and pull out file and hand it over to Derek. She was too curious not to peek as Derek opened it.

In it she saw a few photographs of a young black man and his friends.

"What's this? Who is this?" Derek asked.

"That is Alex Burnswood a twenty one year old out celebrating his birthday with his friends two months ago. It was the last birthday he ever celebrated he died on that same day from a drug overdose. You see Alex and his friends scored some coke to celebrate, nothing out of the ordinary for a big night out, unfortunately for him that coke was laced with Fentanyl and that coke was bought from your 'boy' Dwayne D'amar." Homelander paused.

Derek took a split second.

"Fuck. Look man I told these guys never touch that shit. I told them I swear. If he's dealing that shit it's without me knowing. I swear. Look I'll take care of him myself I swear to you-"

"Don't bother." Homelander interrupted. "He and his crew are already dead."

Dina saw Derek look down at Homelander's feet with resignation as if accepting his fate.

"Alright. So where does that leave us?"

Homelander didn't answer right away. He let the silence sit for a moment.

"Imagine you're me. About two months ago early in the morning I return to Vought tower after attending to a car crash." Homelander started. "Instead of flying up I decide to say hello to everyone on the ground floor and take the elevator up." He paused.

"I share the elevator with one Lila Burnswood, marketing manager, a long time Vought employee. She looks sad and teary eyed. Of course me being me, I have to ask what is going on and if she is OK." He paused briefly.

"Of course she is not OK, her son had just recently died of some tainted coke. So here I am now in the middle of the marketing floor consoling a crying mother."

"Naturally you say the usual we'll get the people who did this, you have to stay strong, God's plan yadda yadda yadda, everything's going to be fine no one will suffer again because of this."

"BUT" Homelander said more abruptly and with some anger. "Not everything is going to be fine and more people will suffer because of this. This will happen again and again and again unless WE take a stance against it. Feel me?"

Derek looked for a moment at him.

"Look man, I told you I told these guys not to touch this stuff I can't-"

"Telling them and enforcing it is not the same." Homelander interrupted again. "We need better control over it just as you need to better control your guys. And that is why we are here?"

"What?" Derek asked confused.

'What?" Dina echoed.

"People will always want drugs. We can't control that. But what we can control is who supplies, who distributes and who enforces the rules. And in order to achieve control we need one person to be in charge of the whole thing top to bottom. And that person will be you Derek."

"What?" Derek asked as he looked unsure at what Homelander was proposing.

"Your profile analysis said you were smart, smarter than the average schmuck in this business, do I have to spell it out for you? I want you to take over all drug operations within New York and then the East coast."

Silence.

"You're crazy. This is a joke right?"

'He's definitely crazy.'

"It can't be done." Derek continued. "I'm nothing compared to the South Americans or the Chinese or even the Somalis or...or fuck there's just way to many players. I'll be dead before I even try to think to muscle in on any territory."

"You're nothing, now." Homelander said calmly. "Within a year you and your little gang will be the last ones standing in New York City, a year after that the state and from there we move to capture all the cities on the East Coast all the way down to Florida." Homelander paused for a split second.

"We'll take down the Chinese, Russians, Somalis and all the South American rats currently scurrying around New York new and old."

'Rats? Fuck, he's talking about the refugees in New York." She knew with the influx of asylum seekers crime had gone up. Usually petty theft, pickpocketing and likely drug dealing.

"All you have to do is expand as the game board clears and enforce the rules, brutally, make an example of any idiot that steps out of line."

"No way. It can't be done!"

"I'm the Homelander. I can do anything." Dina saw her captain respond confidently.

"Now I suggest you accept. It would be a good way to atone for your sins besides what would that sweet daughter you keep hidden in Jersey think if her dad didn't want to prevent more deaths from happening?"

Dina saw Derek tense and contemplated in silence.

The threat was there, unspoken, but there.

"And that's it just like that? I expand and control while you clear the table? No strings attached?" He finally spoke.

"Ah, well some string attached. We can't exactly let you run completely free now can we?"

' Of course there's a catch.' She never thought Homelander would simply let him do this.

She saw Big Blue give another piece of paper to Derek.

"Every month, ten percent off the top you will take to this location. There you will meet with Silver Kinkaid"

'What? What the fuck!' She almost blurted it out but held herself as she saw the intense look coming from Homelander.

"And work out 'kinks' in the operation. Oh and do try to be truthful, don't short her or lie she will know and 'Professor X' won't be very happy about it."

Derek looked at her confused as if to ask something but instead he just affirmed what she was thinking.

"So she's my new boss." He stated.

'Oh this mother fucker!' everything from this evening instantly played back in her mind and she realized what had happened.

Out of their 'hit' crew she stood out.

Not only did she stand out as the one without an animal mask but she stood out as the leader.

For anyone that saw them bust in it was the Professor who stood in the middle, it was the professor who gave the go ahead and who was asking the questions, it was Professor X who was the leader.

By this time tomorrow anyone who was anyone connected to the 'underworld' would know about Professor X and his animals.

'This whole thing was a fucking set up. He didn't need any of the information from the busts.'

"Alright, I don't think you are leaving me much choice here. I'll play ball as long as you keep your end of the deal."

"Excellent!" Homelander said entirely too happily and shook the mans hand.

"Now we'll be off. Enjoy the rest of your evening." He said and motioned for them to leave.

Scene Break

Dina held quiet for the ride back up until she couldn't.

"You're insane. You can't do this…I can't do this!" She said suddenly with fury. "I'm not gonna go around killing people acting like a hit man!"

Homelander turned to her.

"Only partially and yes I can and also yes you can…especially if you value…oh I don't know how about your little boy toy Trevor." That made her tense.

"Now who said anything about you going around and killing people?" He said looking at her intensely.

"The Seven and Vought are joining the drug war so for the most part we're going to do this by the book. If these gangsters resist arrest while it happens well that's whole different story." He paused. "Plus you'll have Ari and Yuri to the killing you'll mostly just be giving the orders." He finished with a smile.

Dina felt frustration and anger. She didn't want to back down.

"You're fucked up and this is insane. This won't work and if you think Starlight will let you-"

Homelander briskly turned back towards her again.

"I'm not going to do anything." He said sharply. "I'm way too busy to deal with this nonsense."

He smiled sharply again.

"You on the other hand…" she felt dread rise up in her again. "…well I doubt Starlight will say anything when her friend and 'top' hero she advocated to join the team will start the largest and most effective war on drugs campaign in the history of this country."

Then Homlander incredulously chuckled with even a little 'snort'

"Besides who is going to think that Silver Kinkaid the ardent anti-drug warrior is Professor X the new drug dealer overlord. That's the kind of conspiracy theory shit you hear from 4chan." He said amused.

"Now your stop is here." He said as the car slowed down in her neighborhood.

"Kid you're getting of here as well." He continued.

"Oh and by the way Dina." He said as she was getting out. "Andre here is your new intern or apprentice or whatever you want to call it. Welcome to the team! I'll see you Monday." He finished as the car sped off.

She took a moment to breathe and calm her nerves.

"Eh..so what's the plan now? Do we just go home?" Andre asked shyly and a bit unsure.

She looked at him and it all just came bulling up.

"FUUUUCKK!"

You didn't think HL(SI) would just leave Silver Kinkaid to run free without getting her hands dirty now did you?

So do you guys think HL's plans will work out or will it be just a big boondoggle just like the real drug war?

Let me know what you think in the reviews and don't be surprised if I use your idea.

Thank you for reading!
