Hey guys, here's the next update.

Just letting you know that this is a remake of 'Save Me Brother,' however, the story will change and the squeal I was planning to do… before my coma, will be added here instead.

Well, all said and done – Enjoy!

At Sapporo police station, Jaden was waiting in one of the rooms.

The moment he stepped foot into the city, he ran through the streets looking for the police station. Which didn't take long.

The young brunette leaned onto the doorway, panting.

The officers ran towards him, asking him questions, but the only words came out of the brunette's mouth was…

"Please… you have… to save him… please…"

That's when a man with blonde hair that raises and points upwards behind his head and features two locks in front of his ears and has blue eyes walked over to him.

"Who needs to be saved?"

"My… My brother… please," said Jaden before collapsing from exhaustion.

The blonde man caught the brunette before handing him to another officer.

"Take him to one of the recovering rooms."

"But – But sir? We don't know the location of the boy's brother. He can be anywhere!"

"I don't think so… judging by how he's dressed, they don't live around here. So, that means his brother must be somewhere at the boarder entrance of the city."

The officer nodded before taking the young brunette to the rooms.

"Chief Raphael, would you need backup?"

"Na, I think I can handle this on my own. I'll be back soon with the child's brother."

The officer nodded as Raphael left the station.

It didn't take long for the officer to reach the outskirts of the city before hearing some gunshots. He quickly dashed to the sound to find some of Hirutani's men chasing a cloaked figure.

Raphael hid in the alleys and watched Hirutani's right-hand man fired his gun at the cloaked figure. The figure fell to the ground to reveal a young teenage boy.

Raphael narrowed his eyes, 'Is that the child's brother? They don't look alike… unless they are both orphans… the teen could've helped the young child survive in the streets.'

He slowly got close to the group and heard their conversation.

'So, the teen is Hirutani's son… but he doesn't look anything like him…'

That's when he saw Chiyo aim his gun at the teen again.

Raphael gritted his teeth, 'Why pointing his gun at their leader's son? But leader or not, it's not right to hurt a child. I must stop this at once.'

He took out two guns and aimed at Hirutani's men. The sound of his guns caused the gang members to flee, but Chiyo stayed behind and fired at the teen.

This time at his stomach, "If you survive this, I'll make sure to return you to your father to receive your deserve punishment this time."

Then Chiyo left the scene, leaving the teen to bleed to death.

Raphael dashed to the fallen teen and could see that he was losing a lot of blood. He gritted his teeth before he carefully picked up the teen and ran back to the city.

"Victor, I'll be going to the ER. Bring the young child as well."

"Yes, sir!"

Raphael put away his walkie and ran as fast as he could to save the teen's life.

Took about a few minutes to reach the hospital and asked for Dr. John. While waiting, the nurses spring into acting and took the teen to treat his wounds.

"Found another one, Raphael?" John asked as he walked over to the officer.

"You can say that…" murmured the blonde officer. "Found him with Hirutani's right-hand man and a few of his members. They flee when they heard my gunshots, but Chiyo shot the kid before leaving him for dead."

John frowned, looking at the teen's body, "He looks a bit malnourished."

"Most likely living in the streets for some time," guessed Raphael. He then turned around, "Have another bed ready. His brother will be coming as well."

"Brother?" John said.

"He was the one that came to the station for help," explained Raphael before leaving the teen with the doctor. It didn't take long for another officer to bring the young brunette to the hospital.

The blonde officer took the young child to the ER to be checked out. While waiting news about the teen, the blonde officer was asking questions to the child.

"What's your name?"

"…Jaden."

"And your brother's?"

"…Yami."

'No surnames,' Raphael frowned, "So, explained to me why Hirutani's men were chasing your brother?"

Jaden bit his lower lip, "If I tell you, you wouldn't arrest my brother."

"And why would I arrest him? Did he do something illegal?"

Jaden looked down at his hands, "…in a way," before glaring at the blonde officer, "but it wasn't his fault! It was that man's fault!"

Raphael frowned, "You mean Hirutani?"

Jaden nodded, slowly.

Raphael stayed silent before closing his eyes, "I won't. Promise."

Jaden was unsure, but if the officer could help his only brother figure…

"About a year ago, my neighborhood was attacked by his men… my parents were killed along with others… they took me and other kids back to their hideout… there I met Yami," Jaden took a deep breath, "at first, seeing him… he looked like someone you don't want to mess with. He didn't show any emotions, none. When they roomed us together, I was sort of scared to talk to him… before bed, he introduced himself to me with a smile and started explaining to me how things run."

That's when Jaden hugged his legs, "After a few months, me and the other kids were assigned to steal food or pickpocket anyone that passed by us. Then one day, we didn't get as much… Hirutani wasn't happy… he had his men to give us a harsh punishment… but Yami stopped him… I don't know what he said to him, but we were sent to our rooms with no food… but when Yami returned, he was covered with bruises and a few cuts…"

Raphael narrowed his eyes a bit, 'So, he protected the children…'

"Yami uses that emotionless personal when he goes to raids… but that means he bottles his troubles inside of his heart," murmured Jaden.

Raphael stared at the young child when John came into the room.

"Dr. John, how's the teen?"

John sighed, "That boy is lucky. None of the bullets damaged any major arteries or organs. But he would need physical therapy. So, what's the plans for these two boys?"

Jaden lifts his head up.

"I need you to run a blood test on them," replied Raphael.

"Blood test?" John said.

Raphael nodded, "We need clues to finding their families."

"Ah, then let me get my nurse…" started John.

"You don't have to for me. I don't have any other relatives," interrupted Jaden, looking down at his hands.

"I see, well then I'll run the blood test on the teen," said John. "Any ideas where the teen lived before?"

Raphael looked at the brunette who shook his head.

"Yami doesn't remember. He… has no memory."

"No memory, huh? Then the odds of finding his family are low," said Raphael.

"Amnesia? Oh, wait before the surgery a nurse took off this pendant around his neck," John showed them the card pendant. "Inside is a picture I believe is his family."

Raphael walked over to him and grabbed the pendant from the doctor. He opened it and inside showed four young boys, one of them was Yami as a child.

"It's a small clue, but it's better than nothing until the blood results," said Raphael before pocketing the pendant. "When will Yami wake up?"

"Mm, since his injuries aren't severe, I would say a day or two. But he still needs to stay here for about a week as he's quite malnourished," replied John.

"And Jaden?" Raphael asked, pointing at the young brunette.

"He's a bit malnourished, but not as bad as the teen. A day or two and he shall be fine," replied John.

"Um, can I be placed in same room with Yami?" Jaden asked.

"…normally, it's not allowed," started John.

Jaden looked down, sadly.

"But I'll make an exception. He'll need someone familiar when he wakes up," said John.

Jaden let out a grin, "Thanks, doc! But if I know Yami, he'll wake up sooner than you think."

John laughed, softly, "Is that so? Well, let's transfer you to his room then."

By morning, Jaden was sitting by Yami's bedside while Raphael was sitting by the door. And just like the brunette said, Yami was starting to wake up.

"You're awake!" Jaden said.

Yami winced, "J-Jaden?"

"I'm – I'm s-sorry. I just couldn't… leave you behind and let you face him… alone," said Jaden, lowering his head, "I… went to the police station… and I ask for their help… I'm sorry."

Yami looked at the young brunette before giving him a weak smile.

"I… had a feeling… you would… I'm glad you did," he said. That's when he spotted the blonde officer by the door. "Who…"

"Oh, that's Raphael. He was the one that saved you from Hirutani's men and brought you to the hospital," replied Jaden with a grin.

Yami widened his eyes.

"Don't worry kid. I'm not here to arrest you. Jaden explained to me everything," said Raphael. He got up and walked over to them, "And what Jaden told me, you're a victim as well."

Yami stared at the blonde officer before wincing.

"Don't move. The doctor removed the bullets on both your legs and abdomen," said Raphael. "You'll be staying until you get some strength back to your legs."

'That's right. Chiyo shot both my legs,' thought Yami.

"Also, the doctor is going to help you find your family," said Jaden.

"What?!" Yami said, wincing again.

"John took some blood of yours and in hope we can find a match," explained Raphael.

Yami turned his head slightly, "…I don't know if I even lived here before."

"No, but you did have a clue," said Raphael, taking out the card pendant.

Yami widened his eyes, "That's…"

"It's a small clue, but it's better than nothing," said Raphael. He took out the photo and turned it to the back of the photo which had four names on it.

Yami, Yugi, Seto, Mokuba

"Those… names…" whispered Yami.

Raphael nodded, "My team will investigate old missing cases. I know you don't have any memories, but what age were you at Hirutani's hideout?"

Yami sighed, "I was six when I woke up there… with no memory."

"And how old are you now?" Raphael asked.

"Sixteen," replied Yami.

"That's a start," said Raphael before putting the card pendant in his jacket. "I'll be back. Need to head to the station and have them start looking. You're in good hands with John."

With that the blonde officer left the room, leaving Yami and Jaden alone.

"Do… Do you think they can find your family, Yami?" Jaden asked, softly.

Yami sighed, "Who knows. I don't even know if they live here or… if they are still alive."

"And if they do?" Jaden looked down, "Wha… What's going to happen to us?"

"…I'm not sure, but I would never abandon you," answered Yami, hugging the young brunette.
