Monsters and Magic

(Author's Notes: Hi everyone! It seems that my story is slightly getting better, according to some reviews that are now coming in. Well, I love it! But, I gotta keep in mind that the quality of the story is paramount. Don't need to fuss over review numbers and such. I'm just glad the ones that like this story review it.
In any case, here is the next chapter! Godzilla and his allies protect the children, their bonded, and sadly the bullies as well when some natural enemies come onto the scene! I have done a little research, and found that animals that have been extinct or critically endangered in England. Since it is the past, so to speak, it would stand to reason that there would be many in Ariel's world and time. So, I hope to not enrage anyone when they try to tell me that kind of animal does not exist in England. Also, you're going to see Flounder and my new character Sonia help out as well! Believe me when I say this, it is NOT easy to put names on characters without being clichéd and all.
Also, Maleficent and her minions finally set out! And last but not least, the men see that it is more difficult to do what the ladies do when it comes to preparing a large party, and they give the fairer sex their dues and respect more. Also, one more note. When the finale comes into play, which won't be for some time, I will tell you all this. Godzilla will show off a new color of breath! Not the red one, since he won't gain access to that until he returns home. When he and the others arrived in the Disney world, it was set between these times. Shortly after he fought Mecha-King Ghidorah, and before he meets and fights his mecha copy, MechaGodzilla 2. Also, his eyes here are the same deep brown, when he showed it in Godzilla vs. Biolantte. It's not the yellow, wild-eyed Godzilla like later on.
Now, I hope one of the reviewers likes the name I'm giving the brave girl who hugged Godzilla on the snout. Hehehe… I do not own Godzilla, any of the Toho monsters, Disney or his characters. I do own the OC characters and also the songs I have created so far.

Chapter 12
Melody and her friends were laughing and playing with their bonded monsters, who in turn were getting used to being around human children, ages five through twelve, and numbering 40 in total. The mothers of the royal kids were enjoying the sight of the little ones not being afraid of such strange and powerful creatures. They too also participated with the kids in getting to know the monsters up close, and amazingly enough, the former titans of their home world were actually tolerating and allowing the humans to touch them! The Twin Fairies were also the stars of this little celebration, being asked many questions by the curious children. They felt celebrity status before, on some occasion when they were brought to Japan by either greedy or good people. But this time, they were interacting with children and they gave off a much good vibe and feel then they felt when surrounded by adults. Right now, Melody was holding the hand of the little Spanish girl that was the first to acknowledge, hug, and stick to Godzilla almost like glue.
Melody asked her, "What is your name, little one?". The five year-old girl answered that her name was Regina, and pointed to a seven year-old boy who had darker skin then hers, short black hair, black eyes, and a little on the round side but in a good way. She told the princess that the boy she was pointing to was her brother, Carlitos. The older brother was jumping over the small end of Godzilla's tail, like it was a jump rope or something as the long appendage kept swinging back and forth low on the ground. Melody giggled, finding the situation quite adorable. To her, it was a good sign that the King of the Monsters was seeing humanity in a different, good light.
The daughter of Ariel said, "Well Regina, I'm glad to see that you are a brave girl. While everyone else was standing still, you were the one to go up to Godzilla. That was very brave and courageous of you.".
Regina blushed from the praise and replied, "It nothing. Big dinosaur not that scary! He strong and tall, just like Daddy!". Melody had to bite back a laugh, as she could not imagine the girl's father nearly as big or tall as Godzilla. Still, she could see what the little one was getting at. She was once five years-old, and she saw her father Eric as a giant, strong and kind. It was all a matter of perspective, and Regina just saw Godzilla as she would her father, and that is what got the ball rolling! Soon, Regina let go of Melody's hand went right back to the King of the Monsters, the saurian looking down as the small human tried to climb up to him by clinging and climbing up his right leg.
Melody was soon joined by Oliver, who was panting a little but had a good smile on his face. He had just come back from seeing each of the monsters up close, and his heart was just racing, and who could blame him? He looked to his new friend and stated, "Melody, never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined this! Actually getting up close to creature of such size, shape and strength! You were right about earlier, on entering a whole new world just like my parents did.". In his view, he had entered a totally different kind of world. A world where monsters of such vision that could only exist in the imagination were now here in the flesh, and instead of rampaging and terrorizing humans, they were actually bonding with them. And with children no less! His folks had often told him the myths and legends of his ancestral lands, but they never came close to this.
The princess smiled and replied, "I know, right? I felt the same after we found them… or rather, they found us.". Seeing as there was no real harm at the moment, she told Oliver/Olujimi on how she and the others met the monsters. After the small story, Oliver was very stunned. He saw that Melody was quite brave in the face of danger. The young lad had heard about the Monster bandit group, and was told by his parents to always keep a sharp eye out for them. And now, he had just heard from his friend that she and the others were rescued from the notorious group by the same creatures that were now playing with the kids. The African hero shook his head, and looked at Melody with a whole new level of respect. The black-haired young lady saw the respect that was shining in his eyes, and looked away a little, blushing from receiving such a stare.
Oliver said, "I can see you are different from most girls. Not only are you brave, but also intelligent. I believe it was wise for you, your friends and mothers to let us kids get to know the beasts like this first before introducing them all to everyone else at your party.". Melody's blush darkened a little more, and when the black-skinned teen saw this, he thought it was rather cute on her. Of course, when the thought crossed his mind, he blushed a little as well. The princess accepted the praise gracefully, and continued to look on at the scene before them. Right now, the King of the Monsters became like a living jungle gym of sort. The little ones were trying to climb his front, using his legs as a sort of stepping platform. While the little ones jumped over his swinging tail, at least using the shorter end of it, the braver ones tried to climb his dorsal spines. Luckily for them, they were not sharp and a little flexible which surprised them a little. This annoyed Godzilla a little, and he shook a little like a dog to get them to tumble off. Fortunately, the little ones landed in the soft sand and actually cheered and giggled from the little tumble.
Dianne was having her own little moment with Hadrian/Hazael as well, the two watching Rodan as he too made the small humans laugh and giggle. The children were poking and prodding at the giant pteranodon, his leathery wings and spiny protrusions on his chest subjects of their little touching test. The master of the skies squawked a little in annoyance, and flapped his wings together to send a strong gust of wind in front of him to blow the kids away. To the monster's surprise, the small humans did not flee like they usually would when he flapped his wings. Then again, he was a titan at the time when he did that. Now, the tiny humans got up, giggling and cheering for him! They even asked if he could do it again, and Rodan was indeed puzzled by this. But, if they liked it… so be it. He screeched and flapped his wings again, sending the kids of various ages tumbling and squealing in delight as they were blown away, rolling on the soft sand. Dianne chuckled and stated, "I think Rodan is going to be a bit popular with the kids for a while. I wonder if he is going to let them on his back so he could let them fly.". Hadrian gave the princess a curious look, and the fine young lady explained to him on how she and her brother Edgard rode Rodan yesterday. She told him on how fast and free it was, soaring through the sky on a flying dinosaur.
Hadrian smiled and stated, "Your Highness, that is something I hope to experience as well! My parents have told me tales that come from their homeland, the 1001 Arabian Nights, and I often dreamed of going on adventures like the ones the characters did in the stories. Now, I see I am living one right now! And it's all thanks to you and your friends and family. Thank you.". Dianne blushed, and like Oliver, the Arabic hero found the gesture cute on her. Of course, he kept his own blush hidden better then Oliver. The two looked on as the giant brown-red monster bent his head down and helped a small boy up from the sand, letting the child use his beak as a sort of handle as he rose up from the shifty sands. The princess and her new friend found this to be a very good sign that the creatures were indeed different the ones told about in legends and myth.
Also, Edgard and Kathrin were also like the others, together and enjoying their little time with the monsters. Edgard opted to go assist Kathrin with Mothra and the Twin Fairies, saying that it was his duty to go and help a friend. Of course, his sister saw through this and knew that her brother merely wanted to have some quality time with the daughter of Snow White. She did tease him a little on that, but she kept it clean and good before going towards Hadrian. Now, the two were beside the large brown worm, the Twin Fairies in the children's hands. Edgard carefully held Lora, while Kathrin held and protected Moll. The kids before and asked many questions about them, like why they looked that way and why they were so small. Fortunately for the mystical twins, they had support from their human friends. One of the little ones, a small eight year-old girl named Sarah Brown asked, "Why do you call yourselves re… re… what was it again?". Moll and Lora laughed at the cute child's struggle to say a difficult word, and Moll helped her out by saying the correct name, which was retainers.
The two answered as one, "We are retainers because that is what we are, chosen by the Earth herself in being the ones who help bring balance to the planet. While the other monsters like Godzilla and more tend to bring chaos to the land, Mothra is in charge of bringing peace and harmony. Thus by doing so, we bring balance to our home.". That seemed to sate the curiosity of the child, and some who were listening in. One of the kids, an eleven year-old boy named Joshua along with his twelve year-old brother David asked on what Mothra could do since she was just a worm now. To answer the child's question herself, the brown worm squeaked before shooting some webbing at them! The two were caught off guard, and started to flail around while tryng to remove the sticky webbing. The children, plus Edgard and Kathrin, laughed at seeing the nearly identical twins plight. It took some time, but the two boys finally got the webbing off of them. Instead of being angry, the two boys were laughing in amazement! One had to admit, they too would be amazed at seeing a worm suddenly spit out silk webbing like a spider, only it coming from the front instead of behind.
Edgard, still chuckling a little, looked at Kathrin and said, "You know, from what I can see of you Kathrin… you would be like the Twin Fairies here.". She looked at him and gave him a puzzled look, and Edgard stated that she was kind, stronger then one thought she was, always seemingly at peace, and more brave then one gave her credit for. The praises caused the beauty to blush badly, and when Edgard realized that his heart took over his mouth and he spoke all of those words, he too blushed bright red and the two looked away from one another. The mystical fairies felt and sensed the growing emotion that was slowly forming between the two kids, and both shared a secret smile. They now knew what was going on, just like Dianne, but they decided to keep it to themselves. The little ones before them, however, had various reactions. While some "awwed" at seeing the two go red at one another, some of the children, especially the males, gagged and made some retching sounds. After all, they were still a little young and juvenile to understand love, or even a blossoming crush.
Last but not least, Mainard and Tracy were together as they watched the little ones playing with the spiked-shelled dinosaur Anguirus. The girls and boys were awestruck at seeing a strange spiked turtle, but it took the two royals to remind them that Anguirus was a mutated dinosaur. The monster seemed amused by the little ones, as several of them actually mimicked his walking pattern, pretending to be him. The mutated Ankylosaurs also seemed to take great care in not knocking any of the young ones over, even with the side of his shell due to said side being sharp. One of the children, a six year-old girl of Asian descent, started to roll around like a little ball, making it look easy and cute. Anguirus bellowed out and he curled up in a ball, which surprised the small humans and caused them to "oooh" and "aww" in wonder. The best friend of Godzilla then uncurled himself, again making sure not to hit the humans with any of his body parts. Mainard chuckled and said, "Anguirus is quite the monster. I can see why he and Godzilla are best friends. And from what the Twin Fairies told us, it's great that he goes up against any kind of foe no matter how dangerous or powerful they are.".
The son of Belle and Léandre respected those who went up against foes bigger, stronger, or more clever then themselves. More so when the person stood up to those foes in order to do what was right. When he learned about Anguirus, he knew he would make a friend that was on his wavelength of acting against foes that were either bullies or someone that stood in their way. Anguirus did not have blazing speed like Rodan, the healing factor of Godzilla, or the cool intellect of Mothra. But he had a spirit of tenacity, a fierce and unyielding will just like the King of the Monsters himself! He never backed down from a challenge, and neither did Mainard. Tracy looked at the royal boy and replied, "I see. Did you ever go up against bigger or stronger enemies where you lived at?". The young man smiled big time and started to tell some of his own stories of what he did back in his hometown. He told her about his little adventures back home; like how he tricked some ruffians into chasing him so they would leave some little kids alone, how he pulled some clever pranks on the soldiers of his home to liven up the place, and so on.
Tracy listened on every word as her friend continued to tell his tales, seeing a kindred spirit in him. The young lady was adventurous like her father, but had the patience and temperament of her mother. As Mainard continued on, neither noticed it but the two drew very close together.
Belle and Cinderella were watching the scene before them, taking just a small break from tending to the local children. The mother of Mainard smiled and said, "I believe that we might be seeing some romance bloom between those two.". Cinderella giggled and replied that it was a bit too early for them to even think about love, but Belle simply smiled more slightly and stated that it was never too early for love. However, someone else added that it could be just puppy love, a kind of innocent kind of crush that was rare nowadays. The two turned and saw that the one who just spoke was Ariel. She was joined by Snow White and Aurora, and the three joined them. The five mothers were at a spot on the beach where they could overlook the entire little gathering, and also see the blossoming relationship forming between their children and the ones they were with.
Snow White sighed and said, "I really hope that things go well tomorrow. Even if the children here trust and like the monsters here, I can't say on what the adults and the ones that did not come here will react to them when Melody shows them on her birthday.". Indeed, that was the question that hung in the back of the adult's mind. They were worried that the adults, especially their husbands, would react negatively towards the beasts. However, before their thoughts could turn or visualize a violent reaction both from the populace and their significant others, it was Ariel that stated something that brought them back to reality.
She said, "I believe that everything will work out in the end. I have faith that Melody and the kids plans will work out in the end, for the better. Not only for them, but for the monsters as well. You have to think and look towards the positive and right, and that is exactly what I plan to do.". Now that got their attention good. They all remembered that they used to be like that; always being positive, seeing any kind of situation in a good light, and never giving up the faith. Now, it was the time to bring back that tried and true nature! The mothers agreed with Ariel, and they started to feel like their old selves again. Rather then worry, they decided to just let go and put their faith and trust in their children. However, it seemed that someone else had plans for this group, and said plans all revolved around them being either stripped of their titles… or worse. The women heard a little coughing sound behind them, and they turned around to see William Dashboard and his 'friends' right beside him.
Ariel turned around and exclaimed, "William?! What are you doing here?". She had heard of him from Melody, and frowned on the fact that he was a bully. Though not of nobility like the local lords that were situated throughout her and Eric's kingdom, the ginger-haired teenage brat used his position as the son of one of the captain of Eric's royal guards, Jackson Dashboard. However, like Melody, she knew that his father was quite honorable and decent. Mrs. Marcel had met with him on some occasion, and found that the captain used strict but fair discipline on his troops and was quite a gentleman to the public. Even his wife, Minnie Jackson, loved her husband very much and was quite a good woman to everyone she met. However, it seemed that both failed to see that their son was quite the deceiver. William had been introduced to Hector Manchester and Alfred Folding, sons of nobles, at an early age and the two showed the impressionable Will the ropes on how to deceive your parents while using one's statue to despicable advantages. And thus, William the Bully was born. And his parents were none the wiser on it.
Upon hearing his name, the royal children and every other child that was on the beach stopped their activities and turned towards the seven bullies; one whose status was of the military, the rest of the nobility. Melody and the others made a light jog towards their mothers, while the rest of the kids soon huddled towards the monsters they were with. Little Regina hid behind Godzilla's leg, her brother close behind her. The former titans looked at the new strange humans that had just entered their sanctuary, and already they could sense that these older humans were not friendly. Rodan was already in attack position, actually ready to either peck at the teenagers or to flap his wings fast and quick to knock them off their feet with a powerful gust of air. Anguirus was crouched ready, already in position to either use his strange-shaped but strong jaws to crunch the teens in half or to use his spiked tail as a bat to knock them away. Mothra was just staying still, wanting know how this would turn out. If need be, she was ready with her sticky webbing to bind and halt the black-aura teenagers. The Twin Fairies were still in Edgard and Kathrin's hands, also wary of the teenagers standing before the group whom were looking smug.
The King of the Monsters growled softly, his muscles tense and ready for action. Instinct, those he had honed ever since his birth and from fighting both gigantic monsters and the human military, had kicked in hard with a vengeance! These seven humans reeked of evil intent, and he was going to see to it that they left sanctuary. Also tempered into his instinct now, was a feeling of protectiveness. This feeling had taken root and grew every day, and this protectiveness was towards his four bonded humans and the little ones he was with right now. To Godzilla, these seven threats were showing themselves as beings who could cause harm to Melody, Tracy, Ariel and Cinderella. And THAT was something he could not abide by! If one of the humans from his world saw this, they would be floored at seeing Godzilla protecting the human children.
Melody frowned deeply, glaring at William and his cronies. She exclaimed, "What are you doing here?! If you didn't get the announcement I made earlier, only children five through twelve are allowed to be here!". To the princess, this was a bad mishap. She was sure that these seven bullies were going to be huge monkey-wrenches into their plans, and it looks like her assumption was justified.
William chuckled evilly and replied as he walked down onto the soft sand, "Well, I was curious to see why you and the others here only invited these little commoners to this area of the kingdom. An area that no one else knows about, and lo and behold… I see you had monsters here. And I wonder this; 'How is it these creatures came to be? Did she summon them? Are you and the royals here delving into the dark arts?' My, my… this seems very suspicious, don't you think boys?". His flunkies stated their agreements, nodding their heads while having cruel smiles on their faces. Ariel and the women really started to dislike the tone of this arrogant boy, and thus stood up straighter and with more of a regal air. Just like their children and husbands, they did not tolerate any kind of intimidating or form of bullying like blackmail and such.
"William Dashboard. Our family has never delved into the evil arts of magic, and our guests here can vouch for the same. Though we have fallen into the traps of the evil arts, that was due to people who abused and misused them for their own selfish gain. Similar to how you and your noble friends have misused your status into becoming no more then over glorified bullies." Ariel stated clearly and firmly. The little ones were glad that the queen was on their side, and also the royal children including Melody were very glad to see a firm will and spirit inside the redheaded beauty. The mothers also stood by their friend in the same manner, their offspring now feeling proud of their actions. William, however, had an ugly sneer on that made his face even more sinister. In his view, the royals here did not deserve the right to rule above them. In his view, they had been soft and too easily pushed around by emotions, feelings and morals. It was people like him and his buddies that deserved to be treated like royalty, not just nobility.
He retorted mockingly, "I would keep my mouth silent, if I were you… your Highness. Who knows what we might say if we were to let this little secret spill out? I mean, who knows what the citizens will do if they knew you all conjured monsters and let them loose in this world? And showing them little children? My, what would they think?". The royals were now glaring at the upstart teenager, Mainard and Edgard looking ready to pummel them if they got the chance. Ariel and the beautiful moms were now rigid and still, their faces sadly having fierce frowns on them. William was smirking widely, believing that he had the upper hand now and was going to exploit it as best he could. One thing he did learn from his father was of military strategy, but sadly… he used his father's great knowledge and twisted them into something truly perverse like this. The other noble brats were enjoying this as well, believing that they finally had the upper hand on the upstarts in front of them. But, that was going to be remedied in a few short minutes. They had no idea what followed them, and the other uninvited guests were right behind them and closing in swiftly.
Alfred was smirking cruelly, enjoying seeing the royal brats and their mothers squirm from his friend's words and the hidden threat laced into said words. However, his smirk turned to annoyance when he felt some hot breath on his neck. He brushed the now moist hairs on his neck and hissed, "Cut it out, Hector! That breath of yours is not necessary, especially on my neck! And… ugh! Get something to freshen it at least!".
However, his friend Hector was on his right and he replied, "What do you mean Alfred? I'm right beside you, not behind you.".
The black-haired teenager looked at him and saw that he was right, which confused him. He said, "If you're right here… who's behind me?". The two slowly turned around… and their complexions paled so fat, most find it would be humorous. The other teenagers, minus William who was continuing to spout off such thinly-veiled threats and suggestions to his enemies, heard the snorting of breath and turned to find themselves facing a whole heap of trouble. The six teenage bullies slowly started to back away, and when Will saw this, he was puzzled. His minions were retreating from their position, actually walking backward and towards the royals and little ones. He was confused, and more so when he saw the surprised look on the faces of his foes. He asked on what was the matter, on why they were looking at him like that and why the scared faces.
Hector whimpered out softly, "B-B-Behind you, Will… behind you…". Will was still confounded when he finally turned around to see what everyone was staring at… and the captain's son turned pale when he saw that in front of him right now was an animal… a Eurasian Bear to be more precise! And beside it were wolves, Gray Wolves!
The Eurasian Brown Bear was truly a sight to behold, covered in thick brown fur and quite powerful for its size. This one measured between five to eight feet in length, which included the head, and had a shoulder height of anywhere between thirty-five and forty-three inches. The weight could be anywhere between 220 and 660 lbs! It had a distinct shoulder hump, and its neck was short but powerful with strong muscles. Beside it on its right was a slightly smaller bear, which would indicate that it was a female. The two large natural carnivores roared at the human in front of them, causing Will to quickly backpedal and run behind his friends for safety. Melody and Oliver snorted at this, seeing that the son of one of the royal captains was a coward, a kind of irony if you will.
The Gray Wolves were animals that held both power, majesty and strength, especially in packs. There was a pack of them numbering twelve total. The largest of the two marked them as the alpha male and female, their coats also darker in color showing more that they were different from the other wolves. Their body and head length in total was between three to five feet, their tails adding in between thirteen to twenty inches. Their shoulder height were around between twenty-six and thirty-two inches, and the average weight of each wolf was anywhere between eighty to one-hundred and twenty lbs! They looked proud, intelligent, and vicious at this point. Normally, one would never see wolves and bears together as they were natural enemies. However, these animals sensed something unnatural to the land. They felt that something entered their territory, something besides humans. The two group followed their instincts, searching/hunting for whatever came into their territory and either run them off or kill them. The two different natural animals came together at one point, but instead of fighting, it was decided by all of them to deal with the interlopers first. They spotted the teenager humans, and followed them to Sanctuary. And now, they had spotted their quarry and a number of defenseless human little ones and some adults. The animals growled and snarled at their foes, showing that they held no fear of these strange creatures.
The whimpering bullies made a beeline for the children, wanting to hide behind them and use them as some sort of shield. The kids showed their dislike and fear towards them, being near the ones that caused you some grief and misery would tend to do that. Oliver and Hadrian got beside their new friends, Melody and the others backing up slowly along with their mothers. Godzilla and the monsters stomped forward, going past the humans taking a stance against the creatures that were now challenging their stay in Sanctuary. Rodan, Anguirus and the saurian became like a wall to the natural animals of the land, while Mothra crawled towards the humans. The Twin Fairies told Edgard and Kathrin to put them back on Mothra's head, stating that they would be the last line of defense should any of the animals get through their allies. It now became like a showdown of old; Godzilla and his allies up against the natural animals of this world and land, three vs. fourteen formidable foes. The two bears roared at the strange creatures before them, the wolves snarling and gnashing their teeth as well. Godzilla roared loudly, shaking the land slightly with his mighty sound while Rodan screeched alongside Anguirus! The monsters made the first move, Godzilla charging in first while got ready to flap his leathery wings! Anguirus roared again and charged in with his best friend!
The fight was on!
~Back at the castle~
While the children and the mothers were experiencing a battle at the Sanctuary, Eric, Philip, Léandre, Asce, and Florian were currently embroiled in their own battle. The husbands were trying their best to coordinate on where the tables and chairs were to be set up, where the decorations were to be placed at certain spots both in and outside the castle, and also trying to see what kind of food would be presented at the party to the guests. Needless to say, they were a bit outmatched here and they knew it. While it was moderately easy for them to handle government, military and foreign affairs, they realized it was a bit more difficult to handle domestic responsibilities, especially when it involved parties. Right now, Eric was checking the guests lists to see on who was coming to the party. So far, all of the locals at the village would be in attendance. And most of the minor and major lords and ladies of his kingdom had accepted their invitation, with a few not accepting the invite. Eric was not surprised by this.
In his kingdom, most of the lords and ladies of nobility respected and looked up to his family. However, like with most kingdoms in the European social ladder, there were always those who believed that they should rule instead of them. And they tended to give the king headaches most of the time when they tried to find ways to either make him and his family look incompetent to govern the land and the citizens, or to take good news and twist around so that it was their doing. Among those families were the Manchesters and Foldings. Luckily for the Marcel king, he and his wife and counselors had been doing a fine job and the higher-ups paid little mind to the minor noble families. The most important part of the kingdom was its people, the citizens like the ones in the village, and they respected, adored and loved his family. So for now, he paid the ones that did not accept the party invitation little mind.
He looked up to see Asce putting up some decorative streamers up on the second floor. He yelled out, "Asce! Do you think we might have been a little over our heads when we all agreed to run things here while our wives and kids went to the village?". The Charming king was about to answer, when he leaned over a bit much and almost fell! Luckily for him, Carlotta managed to grab his shirt and held onto him good so he didn't fall. Eric was worried that his friend would fall, but breathed out a sigh of relief when he saw his maid grab his friend in time.
'I believe that answers my question…' Eric thought with a slight frown on his face. He can hear some arguing in the kitchen area between Chef Louie and Léandre, and it must have been loud because he was on the other side where the kitchen was. Eric could only let out a sigh and hope that his wife and Melody were having a better time then he was right now.
~At Sanctuary~
Right now, if Melody and Ariel had known about Eric's little planning problems, they would have traded places with him in a split second. Right now, they were witnessing a battle to end all animal battles! Fortunately for the entire lot, the soundproof barrier that the Twin Fairies erected up earlier was holding, so the sound of battle was limited to their area only.
Godzilla had charged in and was now wrestling with the two brown bears, almost like a sumo wrestling match! The two mammals had stood up on their hind legs when they saw the saurian charging at them, and the couple used their incredible strength to clash with the King of the Monsters! Godzilla was now locked in combat with some powerful foes, and his old self emerged again. He roared and grunted as he tried to push the two bears away with his strength, and though the mammals were smaller then him, they put up a good resistance. In Godzilla's view, the two were like an old acquaintance of his, King Ceaser. The two alpha animals of the forest roared and grunted at the mutated dinosaur, the male now using his teeth to try and bite into Godzilla's flesh. The female quickly got on all fours and clawed at Godzilla's right leg and flank, trying to damage the intruder to its territory. The bites and claw attacks on his being caused Godzilla to grunt in pain, but he took it! These creatures would soon see that he was not a being that could be hurt or overpowered so easily! The green-skinned beast pushed away the male, and delivered a punch to the jaw that sent the brown brute stumbling away! The bear had gone up against some strong foes in the past, specifically against other bears like him. But he had never been once punched in the jaw before, and by this intruder who showed that it was indeed strong! Godzilla then turned to the female, who was still on all fours on his right and spun around fast to deliver a tail whip. The alpha female was struck in the side and caused her to stumble and fall towards her mate. The two stunned bears got their wits back together, glaring and roaring at Godzilla, who in turn delivered his own reply. The brown bears then charged again, this time wanting to take this beast down as quickly as possible.
Rodan was having his own little problems with the wolves. He was taking on four of them while his ally Anguirus was handling four as well. The brown-red pteranodon screeched as the wolves kept trying to pick at his body, nipping with their sharp teeth and swiping with their claws. The Gray Wolves were no fools, as they cautiously kept their distance while trying to find a weak point in their foe. Rodan flapped his wings, creating gusts of wind that he hoped would blow the mammals away. However, the smart four-legged beasts kept low to the ground, only being pushed back a few feet or so. One of the brave wolves tried their luck, waiting for a delay in theirs foe's wind attack and then leaping at the leathery-winged creature! However, Rodan was no pushover. He was intelligent as well, and when he saw the wolf leaping at him, he plucked the foolish creature from the air with his beak! Rodan grabbed the wolf by the tail, causing the beast to yelp in surprise and pain, and started to twirl the mammal around! The wolves stopped in their tracks at seeing their comrade being swung around in that kind of manner, and Rodan then tossed the wolf towards his pack! The surprised wolves scattered, but one was not quick enough and the one Rodan threw landed on his ally's back! Two wolves were now out for the count, the hard blows on both their backs taking them out from the fight.
Anguirus was having his own little trouble with the four wolves that were trying to get past him. The spiked-shelled creature growled as the Gray Wolves nipped at him before pulling back quickly, their teeth sharp and strong. However, Anguirus's hide was thick and tough. Not like his shell, but still more defensive then one would give it credit for. Anguirus swung out with his spiked tail at his foes, but the mammals would simply leap back and evade the powerful appendage. One of the wolves tried a leaping attack towards the monster's head, but Anguirus was quicker. He shifted quickly to his left, striking the air bound wolf with the side of his shell! Though not spiked like the top-side, the sides of the shell itself were quite hard and sharp. The wolf was struck in the head, and blood flew out as it flew back and landing hard on the ground. The beast was trembling, stunned from the hit and the small trickle of blood that was oozing out from the head where the shell side struck. Angurius roared loudly, and used the moment to his advantage! He grabbed one of the wolves, that were a bit stunned on seeing their ally bleed, in his jaws and clamped shut! Now those jaws of the monster were like a steel trap; once he latched on, her RARELY let go! The wolf howled in pain as he was crushed in Anguirus's vice-like grip! The four-legged predator could feel his insides being crushed easily, and that would have been the end of it when Angurius felt it was enough and tossed the mammal aside like a rag doll. The spike-shelled beast spat a little, apparently the taste of fur and live flesh not agreeing with his tongue. Anguirus stood back at attack attention, seeing that the remaining two wolves still had some fight left in them!
Mothra was doing her best to keep the children, her bonded ones, and unfortunately the seven teenage boys, safe behind her, using her long body as a barrier of sort. And it would seem that it was the correct choice to do, as the alpha male and female Gray Wolves had managed to sneak in through Rodan and Anguirus! Alongside the alphas were two other wolves, obviously two lower-pack animals that followed the orders of their leaders. The four natural predators circled the giant worm, looking for an opening so they could attack the unusually large creature and at the same time, go for the defenseless humans. The Guardian of the Earth was still, only her head moving and those sapphire-colored eyes of hers focused on the wolves. The alpha male barked some commands to his furry soldiers, and the two grunts barked before attacking! The two each took a side, both going for Mothra's head, leaping at her with their teeth and claws shown! Fortunately, even at its larva stage, Mothra was no slouch in defense. She used her head as a battering ram of sort, knocking one of the leaping wolves away by swinging said head hard and fast! The grunt yelped in surprise on the force of the blow, being knocked down and a bit of a ways from its target. The other wolf managed to land a bite on the worm's head, hoping to draw some blood. Unfortunately for the mammal, the guardian's skin was much tougher then it looked. It managed to sink its teeth into the skin, but didn't penetrate enough to draw out even a trickle. Mothra shook her head and flung the offender away from her. The two grunts got back up, and it was apparent that these wolves were a little bit different then the ones Rodan and Anguirus were fighting. These wolves had tougher endurance and slightly smarter then its allies.
While Mothra was doing her best to keep the two grunts at bay, she missed the Alpha male and female, who were sneaking around the worm to get at their quarry. The children who saw them screamed, and started to whimper and huddle together upon seeing the scary wolves. The alphas bared their teeth, growling and seeing which one would be an easy kill for the meal. Despite their fierce nature, wolves were predators and would want to get at the weakest target so they would not get hurt. Getting hurt meant pain and often not being able to either hunt, eat or flee when need be. The alpha male and female closed in slowly, wanting to see on which human to attack and kill. The teenagers were scared, now feeling what their victims felt when they came along. William may be a son of a captain in the military, but he was a coward and his next act showed it. When it saw the female wolf look at him, licking her chops, the teenage bully panicked and pushed a couple of six year-old children in front of it! He yelled out, "They're yours! Take them!". Many of the kids, Melody and her friends, and their moms were just horrified on what they had witnessed. That someone would give up children easily just to save their own skin, and in that kind of manner! Cinderella and Aurora ran as fast as they could to get to the two scared and stunned kids that were now in direct line of sight with the alpha female! However, two blurs ran past the two queens and leapt as the female wolf darted in to strike at the terrified kids!
It was Oliver and Hadrian! The African boy swung his long wooden stick at the lunging predator, striking her in the head and causing her to stumble back in mid-flight! The wolf was dazed for a moment, but regained her wits when she dodged a quick slicing strike that came from Hadrian and his dagger. The two boys stood in front of the terrified six year-olds, both standing tall and sure. The two heroes were nervous and scared on the inside, facing a strong predator such as a Gray Wolf, and an alpha to boot. But, they knew that it was their duty to protect the weak and defenseless, so they swallowed that fear down and were ready to make a stand! They were more men then the coward William and his cronies. Melody and Dianne were amazed at the bravery of their two new friends, and cheered on inside at seeing them stand up to the strong animals. Cinderella and Aurora managed to get to the scared kids that Will tossed towards the wolf, and held them tight to their bosoms as they backed away from the boys. Oliver told them, "Your Highnesses, we'll hold the female at bay! You and the others try to run somewhere!".
Hadrian added in, "We'll try to buy you all some time so you can flee! Now go, we'll handle things here!". The female was stunned and angry at seeing such strong prey now standing up to her. Her companion came to her side, the alpha male apparently not liking that his mate had been struck. The two were together and started to growl at the two boys, who gripped their weapons tight as they prepared to fight off the predators. They knew that it would only buy the others a couple of minutes at best, at if that was all… then it was well worth it. The wolves growled and snarled before charging towards them, fast and furious! The two boys stood their ground, preparing to meet their end. However, something happened that helped out the humans big time! A large wave came from the wolves' left, and it struck them! It caused them to change course and fly to the right, knocking them into the backside of Mothra's tail. The humans were surprised, just like Hadrian and Oliver were. They turned to their right to see that in the sea nearby was a yellow and blue fish, and an elderly mermaid. It was Flounder and his new friend, Sonia! They had made it just in time!
"Flounder! You saved them!" Melody cried out in joy, seeing that her friend had come to help. Ariel was a bit surprised, seeing a brave side of her best friend that she rarely saw before.
Flounder smiled and replied, "Don't thank just me! Thank my new friend here, Sonia! We came over to see if we could help, but we never imagined that this would happen!". Indeed, this was a whole new scenario for him. His original intention was bringing Sonia to Sanctuary to see the monsters, to show her that they were different then what Triton and the others claimed to be. But when they arrived, they did not anticipate seeing the monsters locked in combat, nor did they expect to see a human like Will use a cowardly move just to save his own hide. So, the two managed to sneak in underwater towards the shore, and when they saw the two predators leap towards the brave young humans, that is when Flounder and Sonia used their tails to create a combined wave splash that did its job of knocking the furry brutes away.
Sonia smiled at the group, the kids awed at seeing a real mermaid. She looked to Ariel and said, "I maybe old, but I still have some fight left in this tail of mine! Good to see you again, your Highness.". Though Ariel was human and lived on the land, nearly all the merfolk acknowledged her as a royal member of the sea. The redheaded beauty smiled back and thanked the elderly mermaid for the help. The little reunion was cut short when two wolves managed to get back to their four paws, shaking the water off of them and glaring at the ones who stopped their attack. Flounder and Sonia flinched a little at seeing such fierce faces, but the elderly mermaid got her brave spirit back and glared back at the two land animals. Like most females, she had a strong maternal instinct, and she was not going to let any kind of predator attack any of the little ones, be they human or not. Oliver and Hadrian thanked Sonia for the save before they turned their attention back to the wolves, a little thankful they had some back up on their side. Or more specifically, in the water. The alpha male and females growled in annoyance and anger, and decided to attack this time with a land strike rather then a flying leap. Hadrian and Oliver stood their ground, and attacked when the wolves got close! Hadrian used his dagger to keep the male wolf at bay, while Oliver used his stick to bat and keep the female from getting too close. The two managed to keep the predators at bay for the moment, but they did not know how long they would last. Another surprise came in, when a flying wet sand projectile, the size of a baseball, whizzed past the boys heads and struck the wolves in the muzzle!
The alphas whined and halted their attacks, and the two heroes looked behind them to see Melody, Dianne, Mainard, Edgard, Tracy, and even Kathrin all holding up baseball-sized sand bombs. The royal children wanted to help, but they saw no weapons in sight. That is when Tracy got the idea to use the environment to their advantage. She gathered up some sand, went to the sea and started to pack the sand into an orb shape. She told them that heavy, wet sand like this when packed tightly together would make great projectiles, the others saw what she was getting at. So, they all gathered up sand and went to the sea to wet it, pack it in tight, and voila! Instant hard balls! Melody smirked at her heroic friends and said, "Let us help you out! Okay everyone! Ready… aim… and fire!". The royal children started to pelt the predators with their little makeshift sand bombs, and the wolves did not like getting hit with hardened, wet sand. It clung to their fur and irritated not only the body, but the other parts like the eyes and nose when one of the projectiles struck them there.
The mothers were surprised, and also proud of their children for coming up with such quick thinking. Snow White looked to the little ones and said, "Let's go help them! Quickly, let's go to the water! We'll make some sand balls for the others so they could throw it at those naughty wolves!". The children cheered, glad that they could help! The teenagers were stunned, seeing their former victims now wanting to go into a dangerous situation like this. The mothers went with Snow White's plan, and all of them went to the water so they could make sand bombs. Granted the beautiful adults had to help the younger ones in making the wet, hard sand projectiles, but it was worth it. Soon, Melody and the others started to get in more sand bombs from the kids! Now they had nearly unlimited ammo, as they kept up the pressure of keeping the snarling animals at bay. Flounder and Sonia added in their own help, turning around with their tails facing towards the furry foes and bringing said tails down hard to create a wave splash attack! Now this was a sight to see; human children, mothers, and mermaids plus fish helping out one another to defend one another! Sebastian, who had been in Melody's pocket the whole time, leapt out and wanting to help out as well.
"Okay mon, let's rumble!" he exclaimed as he scuttled towards the alpha male, who was distracted at this time due to flinging sand bombs. When the crab was in the right position… he pinched down hard with his claw, and the wolf actually leapt up in pain and surprise, yelping loudly at being attacked on his front left paw! The two wolves saw that there was no way now to get at any of its quarry, so it let out a howl before turning tail and running away. The two wolves that distracted Mothra would have followed… if they were not stumbling about, due to Mothra webbing their paws thoroughly with her sticky silk web. The ones that were getting their tails handed to them by Rodan and Anguirus heard the call, and also beat a retreat. The ones injured had to keep up at their own pace, least they aggravate the wounds. The children and adults jumped for joy, seeing the predators flee! However, their joy was short-lived when one of the children, an eight year-old Asian girl pointed to two kids that were making a beeline for Godzilla, who was still locked in combat with the two Eurasian Brown Bears.
The child called out, "Everyone! Look! They're going to help out the big dinosaur!". Melody looked on and was horrified to see that it was Regina and her brother Carlitos! They were running towards Godzilla, who was still battling the bears!
While everyone was making the sand bombs, Regina and Carlitos turned to see their new hero Godzilla struggling still against the bears. The little girl puffed up cheeks in anger, which looked cute on her if adults saw it from their point of view, and she looked to her brother. She said, "Those big bears are attacking friend! We go and help!". After that, she charged in and ran towards the fight! Her brother followed after her, also wanting to help out his new friend. In addition, his father and mother told him to watch out for his little sister, and that is what he was going to do! The two ran as fast as their little legs carried them, and they ignored the shouts from their human friends behind them as they pressed on. They even ran past Rodan and Anguirus, surprising the two former titans as they headed straight for Godzilla! The two were behind the saurian, and the bears were doing their best to take him down. They were back on their hind legs again, and trying to push Godzilla down with their combined strength. They were so focused on their foe, and Godzilla on them, that they did not notice the tiny human children going to them.
Regina and Carlitos were now behind the female brown bear, looking up at its massive haunches. Regina gathered up her tiny but strong courage and yelled, "Don't hurt my new friend! RAH!". It was after that little roar of hers that she actually LEAPT onto the bear, now clinging to the bear's hind legs and she bit down hard! She was actually BITING down on the larger, stronger and more heavier foe! Her brother soon followed, leaping up and landing near his sister's position, also clinging on as best he could and chomping away as well! The combined chomp attacks got the bear's attention, as she grunted in pain and looked down behind her to see the tiny humans clinging to her and biting her. The bear growled in annoyance and pain and went on all fours, trying to shake the pests off. Regina and Carlitos held on with their tiny teeth and nails, not wanting to let go. However, the bear was more formidable as she finally shook off the tiny humans. Regina and her brother landed in a small pile on the sand, the sister using Carlitos as a sort of landing pad that softened her fall. The kids shook their heads to clear it, and when they looked up… they were now face-to-face with a very irate female bear! The little ones gasped in fright and held onto one another, believing that they would be eaten by this carnivore. The female bear roared and was ready to bring down her paw on them… when something strong grabbed her by the scruff of the neck and she was hauled up. And the one doing the hauling was… Godzilla!
The green saurian was having a little more difficulty with his brown furry foes more then he thought, again in a sumo-like wrestling match to see on who could knock down whom. Each knew that if the other were to be knocked down, it would be almost fatal for they would be in a very vulnerable position. Godzilla was having a little bit of a tough time against the combined strength of these two mammals, but then he felt something… something familiar coming his way. He looked down to see that the children had been with a little while ago were there! The saurian could not fathom why they were there in the battlefield, but he was a little surprised when he heard the small girl's declaration. And more so when he saw her actually leap and bite the female foe he was locked in combat with! He was also stunned to see that the male child was following suit, leaping and biting down on the female mammal! The little distraction was enough that the bear disengaged from their grapple to go back on all fours, and shaking herself like a dog to get rid of the small pests on her haunches. The shaking was enough to toss the children off of her, and when the predator turned to roar at the scared human children… something inside Godzilla snapped. Like something new and more powerful came from deep inside his being! He grunted loudly and with his newfound strength, tossed the male bear away like it was nothing, and turned to grab and bring the female up by the scruff of its neck!
Everyone, even the children and adults who were running over to try and save Regina and Carlitos, stopped in their tracks when they saw Godzilla lift the female brown bear up, turn it around to bring it to his face, and roared LOUDLY that it shook the air and gave the brown beast a terrible ringing of the ears! The saurian then tossed the female over to its mate, the two now lying sprawled on the edge of the beach, towards the little uprising that lead to the forest. The bears looked to the giant green beast, and saw in fascination as its dorsal spines started to glow a bright blue color! The kids were also amazed at this, seeing Godzilla's spines flash blue. Melody, Kathrin and Tracy's eyes widened, knowing what was going to happen next. The Twin Fairies also gasped, seeing on what Godzilla was about to do. Melody exclaimed at Regina and Carlitos, "Kids! Look away! It's his Radiation Death Breath!". The little ones, and the teenagers who were still on the edge of the water, were puzzled on what she had declared. Even Ariel and the others were a bit puzzled on what the princess had just stated. However, it was too late as the kids watched on as Godzilla opened his maw… and unleashed a bright, blue-white beam of fire at the bears! It was unlike they had ever seen before, a flame that looked and felt different then any kind they had ever encountered before!
The blue column of radioactive fire streaked towards the bears, who stood fixated on the ground, fear overriding their natural instinct to flee. Fortunately for them, Godzilla aimed his breath at the ground in front of them, the beam of fire-energy striking them with tremendous force! The blast knocked the land, and the bears away! The brown predators were knocked into the forest, landing hard against some trees, which stood up amazingly even though the combined weight of the bears should have snapped the tree in half. Dust and sand filled the air, and when a stray breeze blew it away… the two animals saw Godzilla standing tall and proud like a mountain, roaring at them to try and challenge him. However, the natural natives knew that this foe was beyond their own strength and skills, so they high-tailed it out of there, running as fast as they can on all fours. The law of nature took place; in the face of a strong enemy, it was best to flee when the option presented itself. Godzilla roared loudly, and his allies followed! Rodan screeched loudly, followed by Anguirus and finally Mothra, who squeaked as loud as she could. The children followed suit, all of them now roaring/growling like their new friends in victory! Regina and Carlitos stood by Godzilla and roared as best they could, Sarah Brown yelling with Mothra while Joshua and David roared beside Rodan and Anguirus respectively.
Melody let out the breath she had held, as did the royal children and the mothers. They were all worried that blood would be shed, which it did on both sides… but they feared a showing of violence and blood that they knew the children were not ready for. But it seemed that luck and fate were on their side, as the battle ended and the village children along with themselves were safe. "Oh my… this was quite intense…" Kathrin whispered, everyone agreeing with her. Oliver and Hadrian went to Melody and Dianne, asking if they were alright. The two princesses said that they were, and they added in that they were impressed by their bravery in facing down the two alpha wolves.
Hadrian replied, "I admit we were rather scared and nervous. I mean, who wouldn't be when facing danger like that!".
Oliver added, "This is true. But when you got lives on the line, we knew it was best to stand up and fight! Not the most wise of choices, but still… rather that then being cowards like those noble teens.". Upon hearing that, the children and the mothers turned to see William and his cronies slowly walking towards them. The seven looked amazed, and also at the same time ashamed. Even William had his head down, very much embarrassed and angry that his little victory against the royal family earlier was ruined thanks to some animals. Mothra was behind them, to make sure that the cowards did not flee. Godzilla, Rodan and Anguirus were behind the royal humans and the local children, backing them up as it were. The seven teens knew that they were in BIG trouble, and knew it was not going to end well for them.
Ariel and Melody went to William, who was still in front of the teens acting as their leader, and both stated firmly at the same time while glaring at him, "We need to talk… now.".
~At the Bay of Biscay~
Maleficent was waiting on the deck of her new ship, waiting for the remaining monsters to come to her side. With her already was Biolantte, and the creature seemed to be staring off into space. The witch did not know what was going on through the creature's mind, nor did she care. Her minions were waiting impatiently for the remaining forces to come together, so they could get on their way to their destination. And the sooner, the better. For they did NOT like being in a place they did not like at all, especially when its surrounded by water. Soon, the sorceress heard a familiar sound and looked to the distance to see some dust flying about as it headed towards them. The black-clad woman smiled lightly and said to herself, "Ah, so Megalon decided to tunnel instead of walking in the open. Very clever.". Indeed, the bug-hybrid god of Seatopia had chosen to go underground rather then stay on the surface after he, Titanosaurs, and Ebriah had finished their… meal at the village Maleficent directed them too. It would be some time before the village was found by other locals… and the carnage that would be shown and seared into the brains of the viewers.
When it got close to the sea, Megalon erupted out from the ground, standing in all his titanic glory. It would be a sight to see, if any other humans were around. Following close after him was Titanosaurs, the dark-red and orange dinosaur lumbering in and standing beside his 'ally'. Last but not least was Ebriah, the large red-orange lobster crawling and scuttling to be at Titanosaur's other side. Maleficent can see that her entire troops were now here, and she started to give about the orders. She stated firmly, "And now, we begin our travel. Ebriah, you will go underneath and hold the vessel from below. You will carry and take us to our destination. Biolantte, you will take the front point but to stay underwater. Titanosaurs, you will take the left side (port) of the craft. Megalon, you take the right (starboard) side of the craft. You three will be our escorts. Should another vessel try to approach us… send them down to the dark depths of the sea.".
Ebriah squeaked before going to the sea, swimming directly for Maleficent and her craft. Megalon screeched loudly before also going to the water, swimming to the starboard side of the vessel. Titanosaurs roared loudly before going back to his natural habitat, the water, and swimming to be at the port side of the craft. Biolantte roared/screeched loudly before going to the front of the ship, and sinking down into the salty water. The witch and her minions waited a moment, then a large shudder went through the craft that got all but Maleficent all riled up. The demonic horde started to believe they were sinking, until the craft moved forward. They were moving, and with no sails and with no wind! However had seen the sight would have called it either a freak of nature, or a marvel of mechanical engineering.
Maleficent stood now at the bow of the ship, her pet raven Diablo perched on her shoulder as always. She stated to her companion, "Diablo, I believe that this time, I will win. The three good fairies, Aurora's godmothers, are not even aware of our plans this time. And they won't be able to stop us, not with our new allies here. What do you think, my pet?". The evil raven cawed loudly, in a way saying that his mistress would be the ultimate winner in this conquest. Maleficent petted her bird on the head, and a soft but evil chuckle escaped her lips. Her plan was now in motion, and nothing would stop her!

Regina I based from ReginaDC21, the guest who has been reviewing my story for some time with some interesting questions. Sarah Brown is my lovely and beautiful girlfriend, and author here named Kearitona Sjachraelgil. Carlitos is my cousin Carlos, and David and Joshua are also based from my cousins. I hope you all don't mind for using your names in here. If so, I will change the names and chapter correctly.
Also, I did some research and I found that animals like the Eurasian Brown Bear and the Gray Wolf did exist in England during the days of old. So I thought they would be excellent to be the first foes of the monsters. Hope you all enjoyed it.
So, what do you think the punishment should be for William and his teenage goons? What would you have said or done to them, when they came with their threats, and also when Will tossed the two kids to the wolves in order to save his own skin? Also, would you have helped any of the monsters with their furry foes? If so, which one and how would you do it?
In answer to some questions, I will say this. Mothra, when the time comes for her to evolve into her adult stage, she will look exactly like the original one in Mothra the 1961 film. She will then be the Mothra that lays the giant egg that will be shown in Godzilla and Mothra: The Battle For Earth movie when it is time to go back to their own universe. However, this Mothra will have the powers of the one in the Heisei series, like shooting ultra-sonic energy beams from her antennae's and using her yellow poison powder from her wings.
