Here you go! Enjoy!

He moved with newfound purpose toward the Call.

Kenji opened his eyes. Godzilla was on the move. They were all on the move. He couldn't sense the transmitter as well as them, so he couldn't say exactly where it was from. Fortunately, the AMF had about a dozen kaiju going in the same direction from different points. Kenji and the other analysts placed where each one was be on a map, then drew a straight line following each's direction and saw where they crossed.

Kenji hurried outside. Izuku was waiting. "Where are they going?" he said.

"Toidera City." Medium to small sized city near coastline with several mountains nearby.

Izuku quickly pulled out a phone. He relayed the news. Then he turned back to Kenji. "Commander Tachibana is sending us out."

"What will you do?" Kenji said, a nervous edge to his tone.

Izuku looked at him like he was insane. "Go and fight the kaiju of course. Come on, let's go."

He motioned to his team to move. They all rushed to their masers. Kenji said, "What do you mean 'let's-" He trailed off when he saw the infantry guys coming to him with mischievous smiles.

Right. As a psychic, he was the best way of triangulating the transmitter. Meaning he was going too. To the city full of kaiju.

I hate my life.

Izuku had his group loaded onto transport planes and dropped off near Toideria. They had identified at least three kaiju that would likely land before this is over. One of them was Rodan.

Unfortunately, tanks were best used only for Support against Rodan. They'd been outfitted with special braces to drill into the earth and hold them in place, similar to tornado gear. But those were more for indirect hits from a distance. If you got hit at close range by Rodan's winds, you were going to get thrown.

Izuku glanced at Hinae as she took deep breaths, trying to psyche herself up.

Izuku needed to avoid any close calls in this fight. Not only was getting Hinae killed unacceptable, but he knew he was on thin ice with his superiors. They were getting sick of his close calls, even when they'd been to save others, and worked. If he had more…

Izuku had to do this right. No near sacrifices, no insane maneuvers. Nothing he wouldn't have one of his subordinates do. Yet, one simple problem existed with his plan: The kaiju may disagree.

Yuu grit her teeth. Three Gargantuas heading toward town with the AMF scurrying after them. She waved on several more evacuees while stepping through the streets. Seeing Shinji, she hopped up, shrinking down just as her foot touched down on the roof he was on. "How are the evacuees?"

"As expected, the roads are closed to make way for AMF, but are open to evacuation buses. Yui and the others should get on them just fine. Don't worry."

Yuu nodded. "And the AMF?"

"They have a couple masers and infantry here. Plus they have reinforcements on the way. Our reinforcements are already arriving." He pointed at several transport planes dropping off Heroes.

"Alright. Keep me posted."

She threw a nervous look out in the direction the kaiju were said to be coming from. If the masers failed to stop them…

"Hurry up! Grab what you can and go!" Titan said. They'd been ordered to clear one of their caches of all illegal Support Gear. It was in a small storage building in the woods, the sort nobody noticed. Around him, the other MLA operatives grabbed everything they could carry, hauling it toward one of their own who had a quirk to let him store materials in his body. Once they'd piled most of it, he was warped away by that liquid vomit quirk the MLA had.

Titan looked from the friends and comrades he knew, to the ones from Deika. They included an officer picked by Re-Destro's himself, and that giant "for emergencies."

"That was the important stuff. What about the rest of it?" his colleague said.

"Self-destruct it."

Their resident technopath activated his quirk, causing all Support Gear to turn to dust. Titan breathed a sigh of relief. The evidence was destroyed. He glanced up at their giant, who was staring off into the distance. Gigantomachia had barely moved since they arrived.

Several hundred meters away, AMF infantry were gathering. Fortunately, they hadn't noticed the MLA's building. Even if they did, they would have no evidence linking it to anything illegal. Jackdaw would be pleased.

As Titan was about to order everyone to leave, their comms person piped up, "New orders! Prepare to attack the AMF with Gigantomachia!"

"Attack the AMF?!" Titan said. "On whose authority?"

"Re-Destro himself."

The group all looked amongst themselves. Their commanding (political) officer stood up. "You heard him! We must obey!"

They looked amongst themselves, considering their chances of just killing him and running. No, they couldn't do that. The giant would interfere, and a fight would draw the AMF anyway. Titan suppressed a groan as watched the AMF, eyeing their bazookas and guns.

He really hoped they could pull this off. Because if they didn't, Jackdaw and ReDestro would have their heads.

Then the earth began to shake.

Yuu tensed, steadying herself on a building so she wouldn't drop the handful of civilians she was carrying. Just an earthquake, and not even a bad one. She used the buildings to steady herself while carrying the civilians to the evacuation center, with Shinji carrying more in his branches.

The earthquake soon stopped, letting Yuu walk more steadily. Oddly, other buildings further away looked like they were still shaking. Yuu dropped off the civilians, then went out with Shinji to get more. Even if the earthquake comes back, I've handled them before. It isn't like this was some new giant monster crawling out of the earth right now-

Yuu heard the distant sound of a landside, accompanied by a loud roar. The AMF comms lit up.

"Attention town guard, Baragon has broken through the ground one kilometer from town."

"Are you kidding me?! I thought we had him tracked!"

"Apparently they lost him. You can ask him yourself if you'd like!"

Yuu sighed. I really need to shut up sometimes.

Yuu hurried to the evac point and dropped off her civilians. Rule was doing crowd control, directing everyone with an oversized pair of car keys. Meanwhile, Suneater was hurrying back with another group of people in his tentacles.

Yuu and Shinji hurried out. Out near the edge of town, Yuu saw the lightning bolts of the maser cannon firing. The new creature roared in pain and retreated into the earth. The maser pulled back, moving out of the way just as the creature broke through right under where it had been.

"Scatter and flank it!" Akai said. He and his men sprinted around Baragon's side. They fired their shots, then retreated deeper into the woods. Baragon roared and walked after them while the maser moved back so it could safely shoot it.

The infantry fired another round before sprinting away. Akai signaled. "Split up! Heart formation!"

Heart formation was their nickname when two groups split off and ran in separate directions. The group closest to tank support would draw the creature's attention while the other went around, possibly attacking once behind it, before linking back up with the others. Named for its resemblance to a big heart.

Naturally, Akai was in the group providing the distraction. They fired and ran just as they were trained. They had done this many times before. Terrifying, yes. But nothing they couldn't handle.

Yuu turned away as the AMF did their little flanking maneuver. This was their fight. She glanced at Shinji, who was scanning the horizon. "Do you see anyon-"

The two froze, looking back toward the AMF as a new sound emerged.

Are those quirks?!

One moment, Akai and the others were retreating in an orderly maneuver around Baragon. The next they were being fired at by floating sticks, werewolves, while the trees around them came to life!

Akai blasted one of his trees to bits while someone nearby fired his pistol at the wolf. The wolf grunted in pain, then picked up another AMF as a human shield. When the shooter hesitated, the wolf pounced on him. Akai fired a rocket close to the wolf, the blast knocking him off his feet. Akai picked up the fallen soldier and ran to the others.

They tried to regroup, but one of the Villains held out his arms like a railgun while another chewed up chunks of wood and spat them out as metal. The metal chunks fell between the other Villain's arms, then flew at the group like bullets. The AMF fled the onslaught, rushing deeper in the woods. Some tree branches reached toward Akai. He swung his launcher into them, snapping them off.

This was like facing three different kaiju at once without knowing what they could do! "Rally!" Akai said.

However, as they gathered, a man dressed as a monk leap out from the side, blasting them with gusts of wind that threw them like group tried to keep together, several pulling their pistols. Suddenly, crystals came out of the ground, enveloping many of their number, even impaling a few. The crystals also impaled the nearby maser, rendering it useless.

Dammit! The AMF was flailing, not used to so many new powers coming at them at once, especially not with this amount of strategy.

"Lacquered Chain Prison!"

Tendrils of wood erupted from the undergrowth, enveloping many of the Villains. Akai looked up and saw a sight he'd never thought he'd be glad to see: Heroes coming to help.

Kamui Woods trapped several of the villains before growing tendrils of wood from his arm to fashion a club that he used to smash the other ones. One Villain tried to use his crystals to ensnare Kamui Woods. Kamui Woods danced around the crystals, using the tendril branches from his arms to swing from the trees before landing on the Villain's head.

Nearby, Mt. Lady pulled up a tree and swept it at the remaining villains, forcing them to scatter. The one with the railgun fired at her, but Kamui blocked it with his branches. Mt. Lady shrunk down, sprinted past the AMF soldiers, grasped another tree, then grew, ripping it tree from its roots. She then swung the tree at the Villain with the railgun quirk, separating him from his friend while Kamui Woods bound both up.

The werewolf broke free and leaped at one of his allies' bindings, only for a fast moving object that looked like a cross between a string and a snake pierced through their bodies. As the Villains fell to the ground, the string-snake folded itself into a human wearing a mask over the bottom half of his face, and a red shinobi shozoku underneath a blue robe.

"Edgeshot!" Mt. Lady said.

"I came on the first transport I could get," The Ninja Hero said. We Lurkers stick together!"

"Great!" she said, smiling.

They heard screams nearby from where the second group had gone, along with a roar that sounded almost like a kaiju.

Akai said, "There are more soldiers out there!"

"We're on it!" Kamui Woods said.

"What about Baragon?!" Another soldier said, pointing to the kaiju as it lumbered past the destroyed maser.

"I've got him," Mt. Lady said, expression firm.

"You can't beat him," one of the AMF fighters said. "Frankenstein had a hard fight back in the day, and he had healing powers."

"Then get help fast," she said. She then squared her shoulders, ripped out another tree, and ran toward the kaiju.

Yuu had no illusions about winning. This creature looked like it would stand five plus meters higher than her on its hind legs. Plus the AMF knew their kaiju and they said she'd lose. Still, that thing was heading toward town. It was her duty as a Hero to slow it down long enough for the AMF to get reinforcements to the town. Besides, her daughter was there. As a mother, that made it personal.

Yuu let out a fierce roar as she leapt onto Baragon's back, slamming her tree into the top of its head.

Baragon roared. It reared up and threw her off. Yuu got up and swung her branch into it again. The creature leapt at her. Yuu held up her branch sideways, shoving it into the monster's mouth so it bit that instead of her. The tree snapped in half. Yuu grabbed its neck and pushed with all her might, forcing Baragon onto its hind legs.

Baragon's claws raked Yuu's arm, causing her to fall backwards. It bit and thrashed, chomping her remaining half of the tree, snapping it like a dry twig. Before it could bite her, Yuu shoved it back with her feet. A well-timed series of shots from the AMF distracted it just enough for Yuu to kick it off and roll away. Yuu slowly stood back up, getting into a fighting stance.

Baragon slowly circled her. Yuu stayed in a fighting stance. As it grew close, she kicked it in the mouth. The creature's horn glowed. It opened its mouth and unleashed a stream of red vapor. Yuu leapt aside. The vapor collided with the trees behind her, setting them on fire. She hastily backed away, but Baragon lunged at her. Yuu ducked down as the creature soared over her head, flying much further than a creature that size had any right to while jumping.

Yuu then ran forward and grabbed Baragon's tail, pulling with all her might. Baragon thrashed and pulled against her, but she kept her grip, barely holding on. Finally, Baragon shifted from pulling forward, to pushing back. Yuu stumbled, letting go of Baragon. Baragon turned around and shot its superheated vapor at her. Yuu leaped back as the ground in front of her exploded. The heat pricked at her face. Yuu picked up a burning tree, brandishing it at the reptile.

Baragon slowly stomped toward her. She swung the flaming tree into Baragon's face, driving it back. Yuu threw the tree into Baragon, then leapt forward and grabbed it by the head. She wrestled with it, using her leverage and training to roll it over while she gripped its throat.

She struggled to twist its head, maybe snap its neck or strangle it, but Baragon was too strong, too fierce. Its claws raked her side, causing her to lose her grip. She let go and leaped into a somersault to avoid its fire, rapidly shrinking down and running into the trees.

Baragon looked around, trying to see where she went. Blood flowed down Yuu's side, but it didn't seem too bad. Yet. Yuu was about to grow again when she saw Shinji and Edgeshot running toward her with a group of soldiers. She waved at them. Shinji waved her forward. "Look out!"

"Why-"

Another roar tore through the woods.

Nemuri ushered the last of the evacuees into the buses. A Gargantua had breached the town limits and was closing on this area. Any new stragglers were being sent to the secondary sight while the last refugees were taken out of this one. Nemuri heard a screech from across town. It was getting close.

As Nemuri hurried toward the buses, she saw an older couple trying to comfort a young girl. Nemuri hurried toward them. As she got close, Nemuri recognized the girl. She'd seen her earlier that day, on a message from Mt. Lady.

Mt. Lady's daughter stared in the direction the roar had come from. Her form was fluctuating, parts of it lightly shifting back and forth in size. The older couple waved at Nemuri. "Be careful! She might activate her quirk and grow to her full size of ten meters!"

She couldn't get on the buses if that happened. But they couldn't leave her here either. Nemuir looked at the girl, who continued staring, her breath bordering on hyperventilating. Nemuri said, "What happened?!"

"She heard that screech and…She nearly died in Tokyo! I think the roar brought those memories back!"

Nemuri knelt in front of the girl and held her shoulders. "Hey, hey! You're safe! Your mother's going to be fine. Please relax."

The girl didn't even seem to notice that Nemuri was there. Nemuri looked at the buses, then at the couple. They didn't have time for this. Nemuri placed her hand in front of the girl's mouth, like she was letting her smell some perfume. "Just relax, and sleep."

A purple vapor emanated from Nemuri's hand, wafting up to the girl's nose. A few breaths later, the girl closed her eyes and fell unconscious in Nemuri's arms. Nemuri scooped the girl up and said to the couple, "Come on!"

They hurried to the last bus. Nemuri set the girl down next to who she assumed were her grandparents, then held onto the seat as the bus pulled out. She took one last look at Mt. Lady's daughter sleeping, her face at peace.

Baragon turned around, snarling as the newcomer came out from behind the hill Shinji had just run from. A massive human wearing a pair of pants but no shirt, with wild hair, a back covered in stony lumps, a shield covering his face, twin tusks from his mouth, and massive mole-like claws on its hands. Yuu's eyes widened. That guy had to be 25 meters. He was as big as Baragon!

The newcomer growled, " Baragon."

Yuu turned to the others. She threw one last look at the newcomer, who was facing Baragon with his claws brandished. Baragon pawed the ground, then charged. The two clashed together, roaring, clawing, and biting, matching strength for strength.

Baragon bit the enemy on the shoulder, but the newcomer swung his massive claws into Baragon's head. Baragon let go, allowing the newcomer to push it back. Baragon slashed at the newcomer with his forelimbs. He jabbed his horn into the newcomer's side, causing the newcomer to back up.

Yuu turned with the others and fled, leaving the two to their fight. Once they were out of sight, Yuu grew back to giant size and carried the rest back. She set them down and let out a long breath of relief. But then she heard another sound. A feral screech

Yuu looked up, groaning in disbelief as a cyan hairy giant came down the streets, standing ten meters taller than her. The Gargantua roared at her. She got to her feet and picked up a lamppost.

The Gargantua charged at Yuu. She swung the street pole at its face. The creature's head rolled with the blow. It glared at Yuu. The Gargantua kicked her in the stomach, sending Yuu falling back. Yuu stood back up and tried to punch the creature, but only slightlypushed its face.

The Gargantua then grabbed her throat and slammed her into the building behind her. It swung her around and shoved her face into another. Glass cuts riddled Yuu's face. The Gargantua then punched her in the chest. Yuu felt the air leaving her lungs, as well as at least one rib breaking.

As the Gargantua pulled her close, Yuu slammed her hand into its throat. It didn't hurt it, but it did make the thing let go of her. As Yuu staggered to her feet, the Gargantua backhanded her, sending her rolling down the street

Yuu tried to get up, but the creature grabbed her by the hair. It lifted her up, baring its teeth. A flash of blue hit it in the center of its chest. Yuu fell to the ground. A mechanical giant approached, identical to UA's Zero Pointers except for the darker shade of green, and mounted maser cannon. The AMF's Alpha had arrived.

AMF troops raced toward Yuu. She shrank back to normal size, letting them pick her up and carry her off the field. Yuu took a look back as the Alpha rocketed itself into the Gargantua, swinging a fist into its face. The Gargantua wrestled it, snarling in defiance. Yuu was taken down another street, the fight leaving her sight. Even then, she could still hear it.

Soon though, she was in Shinji's arms. She smiled at him, finally feeling a momentary sense of safety.

But in the back of her mind she knew, this battle was far from over.

Fun fact, this chapter was heavily influenced by my recently seeing Frankenstein Conquers the World for the first time. I assumed Frankenstein and Baragon would be on par with the Gargantuas in strength. When I realized both were smaller and weaker than I assumed, I incorporated that here.

Baragon did fight Godzilla in GMK, but in that fight he never did anything too outside his Showa counterpart's power.

Yuu is about Frankenstein's size, so I decided she can fight Baragon. She's not as strong as either, but is far more skilled. But, Gargantuas, which are ten meters taller and can tank artillery, are much stronger.

Also, it was around this time that I finally figured out what I'm going to have Izuku be doing around this point in the story so I can give him more of the focus he deserves. I had an idea of where he's going later, but now I know what to do with him in the meantime. Hope it goes well!

Hope you enjoyed! Comments and kudos make me smile!
