Chapter 1: A New Hero's Blink

The chaos of the USJ (Unforeseen Simulation Joint) unfolded like a vivid nightmare. Smoke billowed, the cries of students echoed, and the ominous silhouettes of villains loomed large against the dimly lit training facility. The unexpected attack had thrown Class 1-A into disarray. Eraserhead, the hero in charge, engaged the villains with unmatched tenacity, using his Quirk, Erasure, to suppress the enemy's abilities. But even his efforts seemed futile against the sheer number of adversaries.

Nearby, a boy with wild blonde hair crouched behind an overturned piece of rubble. Clad in tattered clothes, his bright blue eyes darted around, taking in the mayhem. Naruto Uzumaki didn't belong here—not really. He wasn't a student at U.A. High, nor was he a villain. He was an outsider, a street kid who had been sneaking into the facility for food scraps from the cafeteria and a warm spot to sleep. But now, as the battle unfolded before him, he knew his luck had run out.

Naruto fidgeted with the small throwing knives tucked into his waistband, his fingers brushing over the worn metal. They were his only possessions, besides the memories of a life spent surviving on the streets. He didn't have much, but he did have one thing going for him: his Quirk, Blink Mark. It allowed him to teleport to any spot he had previously tagged with a special mark—marks he could apply by touching a surface or throwing one of his knives.

It wasn't flashy, and he wasn't skilled enough to use it for anything beyond quick escapes. But watching Eraserhead get surrounded by villains, Naruto felt a strange tug in his chest. He gritted his teeth.

"Stupid," he muttered to himself. "This isn't your fight."

And yet, his legs moved anyway.

Naruto dashed toward the fray, weaving through the rubble and chaos. A villain lunged at Eraserhead, claws poised to strike. The pro hero dodged but stumbled, exhaustion beginning to show from his relentless use of Erasure. The villain's claws gleamed under the dim light, descending for a fatal blow.

Naruto hurled one of his knives, the blade whistling through the air before embedding itself into the villain's arm. A glowing symbol flared on the villain's sleeve—the mark of his Quirk.

Before anyone could react, Naruto vanished in a flash of light and reappeared mid-air, his foot connecting with the villain's jaw. The impact sent the attacker sprawling, and Naruto landed beside Eraserhead.

"Who—?" Aizawa began, his voice strained.

"No time for questions, old man!" Naruto shot back, reaching for another knife as more villains closed in.

The next few moments were a blur. Naruto's athleticism and his Quirk turned the tide of the skirmish, at least momentarily. He blinked across the battlefield, teleporting to marked spots to disorient and strike the villains. Though he lacked formal training, his scrappy street-fighting style and quick reflexes made him a formidable distraction.

One villain, a burly man with stone-like skin, charged at him. Naruto tossed a knife at the ground in front of the brute, teleporting away just as the enemy's massive fist came crashing down. Reappearing behind the villain, Naruto grabbed a piece of rubble and slammed it into the back of his head.

"Gotcha!" Naruto grinned, but his victory was short-lived. Another villain, this one with a snake-like appendage for an arm, lashed out. The snake wrapped around Naruto's waist, hoisting him into the air.

"Not so fast, kid!" the snake-armed villain hissed.

Naruto struggled, his hands scrabbling for a knife. Just as he freed one, Eraserhead intervened, using his capture weapon to entangle the villain and force him to release Naruto. The boy landed with a thud, panting.

"You're reckless," Aizawa muttered, his eyes narrowing. "But thanks."

Naruto smirked. "Reckless is my middle name."

The ground trembled as a massive figure emerged from the shadows—a grotesque creature with a bird-like head and bulging muscles. The Nomu. Its sheer presence was suffocating, and the air grew thick with dread. Shigaraki, the mastermind behind the attack, stepped forward, his disjointed voice cutting through the chaos.

"Nomu, take care of him," Shigaraki said, pointing at Eraserhead.

Naruto's stomach twisted as the Nomu lunged at the hero with terrifying speed. Aizawa activated his Quirk, nullifying the creature's regeneration, but the Nomu's raw strength was overwhelming. It slammed Aizawa into the ground, a sickening crunch echoing through the air.

"No!" Naruto yelled, his body moving before his mind could catch up.

He threw three knives in quick succession, each embedding into the Nomu's flesh. The creature didn't even flinch, but Naruto teleported to one of the marks, landing on its shoulder. He drove a fourth knife into its neck, hoping to find a weak spot.

The Nomu roared, reaching for him with clawed hands. Naruto blinked away just in time, reappearing beside Aizawa.

"Stay down, old man," he said, helping the injured hero to his feet. "I'll keep it busy."

"Are you insane?" Aizawa groaned, blood dripping from a gash on his forehead. "You can't take that thing alone."

Naruto grinned despite the fear gnawing at his gut. "Good thing I don't plan on fighting fair."

The students of Class 1-A had regrouped under the leadership of Iida, Todoroki, and Bakugo. Seeing Naruto and Aizawa struggling against the Nomu, they sprang into action.

"Who the heck is that guy?" Bakugo snarled, pointing at Naruto.

"No idea," Todoroki replied, his voice calm despite the tension. "But he's on our side."

As the students engaged the lesser villains, Naruto focused on evading the Nomu's relentless attacks. Each time it lunged, he teleported away, striking at its exposed flanks. But his attacks barely left a scratch.

"Come on, you stupid bird!" Naruto yelled, throwing another knife.

The Nomu swatted it aside, closing the distance between them in a single bound. Naruto blinked to safety, but the Nomu adjusted, anticipating his movements. It grabbed him mid-teleport, slamming him into the ground with bone-crushing force.

"Naruto!" someone yelled—he wasn't sure who.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Pain wracked Naruto's body, but he refused to give up. As the Nomu loomed over him, he reached for his last knife. He planted it into the ground beside him, marking the spot. The Nomu's claw descended, but Naruto teleported just as it struck.

Reappearing above the creature, he hurled another knife downward, embedding it into the Nomu's shoulder. He teleported again, this time with a chunk of debris in his hands, which he slammed into the knife's hilt. The impact drove the blade deeper, eliciting a guttural growl from the beast.

But it wasn't enough. The Nomu's wounds healed almost instantly, and its focus turned entirely to Naruto.

As Naruto prepared to make his final stand, a booming voice echoed through the USJ.

"I AM HERE!"

All Might's arrival was like a beacon of hope piercing through the darkness. The Symbol of Peace charged into the fray, his presence alone enough to tip the scales.

Naruto collapsed to one knee, exhausted but relieved. The students cheered, their morale restored.

Aizawa, leaning heavily on a nearby wall, gave Naruto a nod. "You did good, kid."

Naruto grinned weakly. "Yeah, well... Don't get used to it."

As All Might squared off against the Nomu, Naruto allowed himself a moment to breathe. For the first time in a long while, he felt like he belonged—like he had a purpose.

But deep down, he knew this was just the beginning.

Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

The battle at the USJ raged on with All Might's thunderous presence dominating the villains. His relentless strikes against the Nomu sent shockwaves through the air, each one reverberating with the force of his resolve. The students watched in awe as the Symbol of Peace fought like a tempest, his movements a blur of strength and precision.

Naruto, sitting against a pile of rubble, panted heavily. He clutched his bruised ribs, wincing with every breath. Aizawa had moved closer, his injuries being tended to by a concerned Momo Yaoyorozu, who had created a basic first aid kit.

"You okay, kid?" Aizawa asked, his voice gravelly from exhaustion.

Naruto gave a weak grin. "I've had worse. But, uh… maybe remind me not to pick fights with regenerating monsters again."

Despite himself, Aizawa smirked. "You've got guts, I'll give you that."

Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

All Might's voice boomed across the facility. "FOCUS ON GETTING THE STUDENTS TO SAFETY! I'LL HANDLE THIS!"

The Nomu, despite its overwhelming strength and regenerative abilities, was beginning to falter under All Might's relentless assault. Shigaraki watched from the sidelines, his hands twitching with frustration.

"Kurogiri," Shigaraki growled, his disjointed voice laced with irritation. "Get me closer. I'll end this myself."

The misty portal of Kurogiri began to form behind All Might, but Naruto's sharp eyes caught the movement. Instinct took over as he pulled one of his last remaining knives and hurled it into the swirling mist. The blade embedded itself into Kurogiri's metallic collar, and a glowing mark flared.

Naruto disappeared in a flash, reappearing directly above Kurogiri's form. He kicked off the villain's shoulders, destabilizing the portal.

"Not today, fog-face!" Naruto shouted, flipping away and landing awkwardly on his feet. His body screamed in protest, but he forced himself upright.

Shigaraki snarled, scratching furiously at his neck. "Annoying brat!"

Before he could advance, All Might landed a decisive blow on the Nomu, sending it crashing through a wall. The grotesque creature lay still, finally defeated.

Realizing the tide had turned, Kurogiri appeared beside Shigaraki. "We must retreat."

"No! This isn't over!" Shigaraki hissed, his gaze fixed on All Might with seething hatred. But Kurogiri enveloped him in a swirling mist, and they vanished.

The USJ was left in shambles, but the students and pro heroes were alive, thanks in no small part to Naruto's intervention. Recovery Girl arrived swiftly, tending to the injured with her Quirk, and the police began securing the area.

Naruto sat off to the side, watching as Class 1-A gathered. They were shaken but alive. He caught glimpses of gratitude in their faces, though Bakugo's trademark scowl didn't waver.

"Who even are you?" Bakugo demanded, stomping toward Naruto. "And why do you think you can just show up and act all cool?"

Naruto smirked, raising his hands defensively. "Relax, spiky. I'm just a guy who happened to be in the wrong place at the right time."

"Enough, Bakugo," Todoroki interjected. "He saved Eraserhead and helped us against the Nomu. Whoever he is, we owe him."

The murmurs of agreement from the other students made Bakugo growl but step back begrudgingly.

"Uzumaki," Aizawa said, limping toward the group. His sharp eyes locked onto Naruto. "We need to talk."

Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Naruto sat in the U.A. principal's office, feeling out of place in the pristine environment. Principal Nezu, the small, mouse-like creature, sat across from him, flanked by Aizawa and All Might. The latter's towering presence was less intimidating now that his skeletal form was visible.

"You've caused quite the stir," Nezu began, his cheerful tone contrasting with the severity of the situation. "But I must say, your bravery and resourcefulness were remarkable."

Naruto shifted uncomfortably. "Look, I wasn't trying to be a hero or anything. I just… couldn't sit back and do nothing."

All Might chuckled. "That's exactly what makes a hero, young man."

Aizawa crossed his arms, his expression unreadable. "You're not a student here, and you're clearly not a villain. So what are you, Uzumaki?"

Naruto hesitated, his usual bravado faltering. "Just a kid trying to survive."

Nezu's ears twitched. "It seems you've been through a lot. I did some digging into your background—don't worry, nothing invasive—and I understand you've been on your own for quite some time."

Naruto's fists clenched. He hated pity, but Nezu's gaze wasn't pitying—it was understanding.

"We'd like to offer you a place here at U.A.," Nezu continued. "You have the potential to be a great hero, and we can provide the support and training you need."

Naruto's eyes widened. "You're serious?"

"Of course," Nezu replied with a smile. "We'll solve your housing situation, provide a stipend for your needs, and place you in Class 1-A. That is, if you're willing."

Naruto blinked, his mind racing. He thought of the streets he'd called home, the cold nights, and the constant hunger. This was a chance to change everything.

He grinned. "Guess I'd be stupid to say no, huh?"

Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

The next few days were a whirlwind. Naruto was provided with a dorm room in the U.A. housing complex, complete with basic furnishings and a fridge stocked with food. For the first time in years, he slept on a real bed and woke up to a warm meal.

Class 1-A was abuzz with curiosity about their new classmate. Naruto's boisterous personality quickly earned him attention—both good and bad.

"I'm telling you," he said one morning, lounging in the common room, "I'm gonna be the number one hero someday. Believe it!"

Bakugo scoffed. "Like hell you will! That's my spot!"

"Dream on, spiky," Naruto shot back, grinning. "You've got nothing on me."

"QUIET!" Iida's voice boomed as he gestured wildly. "This is a place of learning, not childish arguments!"

The bickering dissolved into laughter, and Naruto felt a warmth he hadn't known in years. For the first time, he wasn't just surviving—he was living.

Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Naruto's official induction into U.A. began with a practical exercise. The students were paired up for a simulated battle, and Naruto was partnered with Izuku Midoriya against Bakugo and Todoroki.

As the exercise began, Bakugo wasted no time, launching himself at Naruto with an explosive blast.

"Let's see what you're made of, new guy!" Bakugo roared.

Naruto smirked, tossing a knife. It missed Bakugo by inches, but Naruto vanished and reappeared behind him, landing a solid kick to his back.

"You're too slow, spiky!" Naruto teased, darting away before Bakugo could retaliate.

Meanwhile, Todoroki created a massive wall of ice to block Midoriya's advance. Naruto blinked over the wall, catching Todoroki off guard with a feint, allowing Midoriya to close in.

The battle ended in a draw, but Naruto's unorthodox fighting style left an impression.

"He's reckless," Todoroki noted afterward. "But effective."

Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

In the weeks that followed, Naruto settled into life at U.A. His skills with his Quirk, Blink Mark, improved under the guidance of Aizawa and his classmates. He learned teamwork, strategy, and the importance of discipline.

One evening, sitting with Izuku and Uraraka in the dorm lounge, Naruto looked around and smiled.

"You know," he said, "for the first time, I feel like I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be."

Izuku smiled back. "You're going to make a great hero, Naruto."

Naruto's grin widened. "Believe it."

Though the road ahead was uncertain, one thing was clear: Naruto Uzumaki had found his place among heroes. And he wasn't going to let anything—or anyone—take it away.
