Hey everyone, it's been a long time, hasn't it? Things have been pretty dead on this account for a while now and I think it's long overdue for me to take some time to let those of you who still care about this series know what's been going on. First and foremost, life has been absolutely insane for me for the majority of this past year; I began a new job in February and spent the better part of the spring and winter settling in and learning all I could about it, as this is an occupation that I could see myself making an actual career out of. During this time, I was finishing up my "Faraday Cut" of Slender: The Arrival and suffered from extreme burnout after the fact, and that combined with the new stress and responsibilities of a new job left almost no desire to work on this series whatsoever. Summer came along a little while later, bringing with it some unexpected tragedies and the loss of my living situation, leaving me to live with a friend for the better part of three months. I spent the majority of those three months applying for a mortgage and looking for a house, and I am proud to say that I am now a homeowner and am finally able to begin the process of returning to doing what I enjoy, which of course includes writing, now that I'm all moved in and set up at my new house.
This brings me to the next point I'd like to address: I've been debating this for a while now, and I've decided that Blood and Venom will be ending after Book 3. Originally, this series was meant to go on for five books, but if I'm being completely honest, I am very tired of writing fan fiction and have desired to move on to original, official projects for quite some time so that I can begin to make a name for myself in the professional world and hopefully make some decent money while I'm at it. However, even without that factor, I have wanted to put this series to rest for a long time, so I will be ending it at the trilogy mark. Book 3 will be self-contained so that I can give SCP Containment Breach the proper adaptation that it deserves without making it a clutter by trying to tie the rest of the series into it. I will post a separate Epilogue as its own one-chapter story where everything will be wrapped up and put to rest. I will do my best to tie up any and all loose ends in this epilogue, and anything that can't be woven into it naturally will be answered in some other way. Now, as for Book 3 and how long it will be, I am completely rewriting the entire thing and all of the existing notes I have for it. I have also decided that it will consist of nine chapters. These chapters are:
Chapter 1: The Amnesiac
Chapter 2: First Assignment
Chapter 3: Dead Man Walking
Chapter 4: Breaking Protocol
Chapter 5: Whimpers Into Screams
Chapter 6: The Darkest Depths
Chapter 7: Lifting the Veil
Chapter 8: No Man's Land
Chapter 9: Exodus
As for the upload schedule, I'm going to finish writing all of them before I begin uploading anything beyond this point, so it may be a while before you hear from me again. When you do, the chapters will either be uploaded all at once or on a weekly basis, I haven't decided yet. I plan to have this all wrapped up and put to bed before the end of 2025, and hopefully well before it gets to be that late in the new year, but only time will tell if my schedule allows for that. Thank you for sticking with me for all this time, I hope those of you still reading this will be satisfied with the ending I have planned when the day of its release finally comes.
