Roman bopped his head to the music and took another sip of his beer. Seth was having a party, and Roman was having a good time. He knew most people there from the wrestling world but there were a few faces he had never seen before.
"Enjoying yourself?" Seth asked.
Roman nodded while sipping his beer, and then suddenly stopped everything he was doing when his eyes found a woman he had never seen before. She had long, straight, medium brown hair that went to the middle of her back. She looked over at him and he felt his breath being taken away by her ocean blue eyes. She was everything he desired and then some more.
"Lovely water," Roman mumbled. "I'll be right back."
"Alright," Seth chuckled.
The woman with the lovely water in her eyes turned around and walked out of the living room. Roman wasn't about to let her get away. He followed after her and saw her walk out of the back door to the garden. He was only a few steps behind and was happy to find no one else but her was out there.
"Are you following me?" She asked.
"Yes," he admitted. "I'm not a creep. I swear. I just saw you in there and wanted to get to know you."
"Why?" She asked.
"Because I find you beautiful and I was hoping to at least get your name before the party is over. Maybe also your phone number," he said.
He put on his best smile and she let out a cute giggle.
"Talise," she said.
"That's a pretty name," he said.
"Are you gonna tell me yours?" She asked.
"You don't know..." He paused. "Roman. My name is Roman."
"That's a strong name," she said.
It was his turn to giggle and she gave him a smile in return.
"You look familiar," she said.
"People say I look like Jason Momoa," he said.
"That's it!" She laughed. "You could totally play him in a movie about his life."
He laughed too and gestured towards the porch swing. They went over to it and sat down.
"Do you live around here?" He asked.
"About 30 minutes walk away," she said.
"How do you know Seth?" He asked.
"Let's not talk about someone else. What about you? Do you live around here?" She asked.
"No, I live in Florida," he said.
"You're far away from home," she said.
"Planes exist," he said. "And I'm used to traveling."
She smiled again and reached for his beer. He watched as she took a sip of it. She could drink the entire thing for all he cared. He would get up and get another one for her if she asked as long as she would stay near him.
"Can I take a picture of you?" He asked.
"I guess," she answered.
He took out his phone and she placed the beer bottle down on the porch. He held up his phone and she gave him another cute smile. He took a picture and smiled back at her before putting his phone away again.
"Are you married?" He asked.
"Nope," she answered.
"Boyfriend? Girlfriend?" He asked.
"Nope, nope," she answered.
"Me neither," he said.
"Good to know," she smirked. "Any particular reason you ask?"
"I think you can figure that part out on your own," he smirked back.
She leaned closer and he closed his eyes. Her lips landed on his and it felt like electricity shot through him. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her closer. He had no idea how long they sat there kissing each other. He would have liked it to last a lot longer but the back door opened and she broke the kiss.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt," Braun said.
"It's okay," Talise grabbed the beer bottle. "I'm getting another round for us."
"Hurry back," Roman said.
Talise gave Roman another smile and then walked inside. Roman looked up at Braun with a grin on his face.
"Who was that?" Braun asked.
"Talise. I don't know how she knows Seth but I like her. I'm hoping she'll invite me back to her place tonight," Roman said.
"As long as you show up tomorrow night for the show," Braun chuckled. "Give me a call and I'll pick you up wherever you are."
