Hey all! So after talking with a fan I decided to bring back an abandoned fic called Black Winged Hero originally by One-Winged Angel of Death. I have personally reached out to them and they agreed to let me rewrite it. Of course, it won't be a 1:1 remake as there were some things I disagreed with but we'll get to them later.

Of course its a DxD fic so we'll have a harem and the occasional citrus here and there. There will be no warnings unless a influx of people ask for them.

Anyways lets get to it!

Azazel groaned as he read over the reports he had been given over the recent batch of Fallen Angels that had abandoned his group to side with this growing Khaos Brigade. It was already hard enough to keep his faction relevant given their limited numbers and the lack of new Angels in Heaven.

Besides deserters, he also had to deal with some flat-out dying due to starting fights with Devils. He couldn't even really be mad at the Devil Faction given how prone to conflict some of his fellow Fallen Angels were.

Pulling out a small black orb from his pocket, he couldn't help but wonder if it would work. He had been able to acquire a set of Evil Pieces. It had taken him a while but eventually, he figured out the main mechanism. If everything went according to his theory, he could turn a human into a Fallen Angel using it.

The problem was choosing a test subject.

He had one shot at this. If he picked the wrong person or it failed, he'd not only have wasted his time researching the chess pieces, but he'd flat-out lose the whole set.

That's when he felt a shift in the air.

Space seemed to part above the part, showing the inky void on the other side. Yet it wasn't just an empty black. Something or rather someone fell out from the tear right before it closed up.

Azazel took flight, twelve black wings sprouting from his back as he flew towards the falling blond.

Catching the falling human, he flew back down to the ground. Setting him down, he frowned as he noticed that whoever this had been was dead already. Yet he could feel his power still. It was oddly similar to the energy utilized by Sennin and Yokai Faction.

He looked to have been but a teenager before his death, granted looks could be deceiving. He was certain he was human.

This was where he had a choice to make.

Pulling out the black orb from his pocket again, he knew that there was a way to save this kid. The fact that he was a human with senjutsu, he could assume that when he was alive he was a Sennin. That alone would make him a highly valuable asset to any faction.

Part of him wanted to believe that maybe it was fate that this happened. The energy within the boy was extraordinary despite it rapidly fading from his death.

"Nothing ventured," Azazel muttered as he placed the orb against the blond's chest. A black seal appeared under them, the orb slowly sinking into his body.

The fallen angel took a step away from the seal as the dark light glowed intensely. He had no idea if it was working or not but he could feel a surge of power coming from the blond, the strange energy inside of him becoming closer to his own.

The blond's eyes snapped open as life returned to him revealing two pools of blue to the new world he found himself in. Air rushed back into his lungs as he felt like he'd just woken up from a long nap.

Azazel on the other hand was ecstatic as he witnessed the revival of the Sennin. At the very least he had been able to prove that he could bring the dead back to life with his Fallen Sphere. "Hey, are you okay?" He asked walking towards the orange wearing blond.

"How…I died?" He questioned looking at his hands. He could feel new power rushing throughout his body ever since he woke up. He could feel the energy of the Bijuu within him, but he couldn't feel their consciousness. He knew that he only held a portion of each, so maybe when he had been pushed through the portal by Kaguya, he'd taken their chakra but left their minds with the larger whole.

Or at least he hoped.

Then there was this new power. It was light, yet felt tainted too.

It felt like the energy within the man before him.

"You did, and I brought you back," Azazel said leaning against a nearby tree. "You fell out of some portal, figured you might be interesting. Name's Azazel," he introduced himself.

"Naruto Uzumaki," the blond replied standing up. He felt stronger. Like his body had been altered even further. Everything seemed clearer too. He always had good hearing, but now it was far more tuned. He barely even felt human anymore. "You did something to me when you revived me didn't you?" He asked knowing something was up.

"I hope I did. The process should have made you a Fallen Angel," the older man admitted casually.

Naruto narrowed his eyes as he flared his power, twelve black wings sprouting from his back much to both of their suprise. "What?"

"TWELVE?!" Azazel exclaimed in both shock and excitement. The black wings were a sign that the process had worked perfectly. But the fact that the blond had sprouted six sets of them was far beyond expectations. It was likely that they corresponded with how strong Naruto had been while he was human.

"What the hell did you do to me?!" Naruto growled, his chakra flaring around him like a storm of flames.

"I told you, I turned you into a Fallen Angel. It was also the only way to save your ass," the leader of the Grigori retorted. Part of him wanted to know more about what this golden-orange energy was."So, were you a Sennin? I could have sworn I felt Senjutsu energy coming from you," he asked, figuring he'd get to know more about what the reincarnated blond.

Naruto signed knowing that it was true that he would have been dead otherwise. Becoming a…Fallen Angel was worth the price of being alive. At least he was still himself. "Yeah, I trained with the Toads to learn their form of Senjutsu," he admitted.

"Toads huh?" Azazel muttered. He'd expected a fox or cat yokai given the whisker marks on his face but not toads.

Naruto crossed his arms, "I wouldn't underestimate them, they're pretty strong I'll have you know," he told him not taking a potential insult to his teachers lightly.

"I wasn't, but anyways where do you come from? Given your name I assume you're Japanese," Azazel asked.

"Japanese?" Naruto questioned back, confused by the term. "I'm from the Hidden Leaf Village," he answered pointing at his headband.

Azazel had never heard of such a place but given the name and the headband, he figured that this kid was a ninja of some kind. A ninja who wore orange at that… "Well I've never heard that place, but right now you're near Kuoh. A city in Japan," he pointed out.

"I never heard of Japan…" the blond muttered before sitting down on the ground. Within seconds he started to draw in the natural energy of the world around him. His eyes snapped open as he felt the foul taint that came with it.

The energy of this world almost seemed to carry hatred with it. He imagined that this was what it was like using a Curse Mark like Sasuke or Jugo's bloodline. Despite that, it was nothing compared to the hatred that one inhabited Kurama's chakra.

He found that entering his Sage Mode was easier now compared to before. Possibly because he no longer had Kurama inside of him and the tailed beast chakra was directly integrated into his own.

Expanding his senses, he noticed that this world was completely different from his own. Sure it had humans, but he couldn't sense much chakra in any of them. Some in the city felt like the man in front of him while others felt much darker. As his senses grew he could feel a myriad of creatures across Japan.

"What the hell…" Naruto muttered to himself as he couldn't sense anything from his world. More than that, everyone seemed to be going on with their lives and not trapped in the Infinite Tsukuyomi like the people of his world.

Then it dawned on him that Kaguya had thrown him into the portal right as they were sealing her away. The lack of control caused it to destabilize in seconds, placing the extreme stress on his body that ended up killing him.

But who opened the portal on the other side?

"That stupid bitch! She sent me to another dimension!" He cursed understanding what had happened. He had been sent tumbling through a dimensional gap until he ended up in this one. And he didn't know enough about space time ninjutsu to try and return to his home reality. He wasn't typically one to curse like that, but this time he had been royally fucked over by the 'goddess'.

Maybe if he had his father's knowledge of time space ninjutsu he would have been able to potentially think of a way to try and get home. But at the moment he didn't have the faintest of ideas on the matter.

It was slowly dawning on him that he would never be able to see any of his friends again. That everyone he knew and loved might be forever out of reach for him. He would never be able to make things right with Sasuke. He would never be able to become Hokage. His entire life as he knew it was now over and there was nothing he could do about it.

Worst was that he would never know the fate of all the people who were trapped in the Infinite Tsukuyomi. Would Sasuke be able to free them? Would he even stay on the right path?

Azazel looked over into the air in a seemingly random direction. While Naruto was having some sort of internal conflict, it seemed that some of the other supernatural beings in Kuoh had noticed the sudden eruption of energy coming from the park and were coming to investigate. Handling them was easy, but the aftermath would likely set him back a few hundred years. "Let's continue this in private.

The blond nearly jumped when he saw a magic seal appear under the two of them. Before he could question it they were warped to a rather luxurious apartment building on the other side of the city. "You know time space ninjutsu?" he asked, a spark of hope lighting up within him.

Azazel smirked at the curiosity at his spell, "I know a lot of things. Lots of things I could even teach you too!" Azazel replied hoping that he could use this to try and get the allegiance of the lost blond. He needed his help to try and keep up with the other factions and he'd used up his one shot on reviving him.

Walking up to the window, Naruto looked out over the city. It was different seeing it from within. He'd never seen a village like this in his life, even among the strongest of them. He saw people in strange metal contraptions down below, speeding along their lives.

"Where am I?"

"I think you know the answer to that already…"Azazel sighed as he had caught on to the situation. Naruto was from another reality, and had slipped into theirs by some sort of miracle. A process that should have and did kill him, until he was revived as a Fallen Angel. "Look, I'm not gonna sugarcoat it, whatever brought you here is likely permanent. But if you help me, I'll help you as much as I can to get you home, sound like a deal?"

Blue eyes looked over at Azazel, "And what do you need help with? I may wanna go home, but not if it's gonna end up destroying the world," he replied. He refused to become like Obito. Someone so focused on fixing his own world that he'd burn down the rest of it.

"Simple, this world stands on a shaky truce between three factions- the Angels, the Devils, and us the Fallen Angels. Not gonna lie, our faction has some rather problematic members. Many of our members are driven by their desires which leads them to make some questionable choices. So more often than not we lose members due to them dying or desertion. Devils are able to turn humans into members of their race, so I tried the same. Resulting in you," he explained his situation.

"So what do you want me to do?"

"I need more members in my faction, preferably members that I can trust to help keep the others in line," Azazel told Naruto. He needed members to keep up with the Devils numbers and the power of the stronger Angels. And right now he just had someone with twelve wings dropped on his lap, he wasn't about to let that go.

"And your goals?" Naruto asked.

"To avoid a war between the factions," Azazel replied. "If we don't have enough numbers, the other two factions might take it as an opportunity to take us out," he elaborated.

Naruto thought about it for a moment. He had nowhere to go and no one else that he knew in this world. He could sense that Azazel didn't seem to have any malicious intent towards him and nor was he lying to him. "If that's the case then I'm open to working with you, in exchange you teach me more about this world," he answered.

To say he trusted Azazel was an overstatement, but he was the best he had at the moment.

Azazel smiled at the agreement, "That's great!" he exclaimed hiding his relief that the blond hadn't decided to just bail on him.

"But…can I get some clothing?" Naruto asked, remembering that his orange tracksuit was basically rags after his trip from his world to this one.

Naruto sighed as he had spent the last few days relaxing in Azazel's penthouse. Between the mental stress of being lost across time and space and the physical stress of having fought for hours against Madara's forces, he needed a long break. Now here he was in some secret training area about to face off against the leader of the Fallen Angels.

How he managed to hide a whole mountain range under a building through magic was insane. More likely than not it was some application of spatial magic or some artifact to create a pocket dimension to house it. The exact mechanisms were beyond him at the moment.

There had been a lot of changes to his body due to his conversion into a Fallen Angel. He was stronger, faster, and more durable compared to when he was human. That alone said a lot about what had become of him. His chakra was also now naturally infused with light energy making it dangerous to Devils and other demonic beings.

It was like he wasn't even in his own body anymore.

"We just bought me new clothing!" Naruto yelled as he was dressed in a burnt orange dress shirt with black pants.

"YOU DIDN'T EVEN PAY!" Azazel yelled back. "Just remember, no senjutsu!"

"Yeah, yeah…" Naruto replied as his twelve wings manifested from his back. It felt weird at first, but slowly they were becoming more and more part of him. Using his wings, began to fly up into the air, Azazel following behind as they prepared to spar.

There were no more words between them as they both flew straight at one another, Azazel forming a spear of light in his hand. A rasengan formed in Naruto's hand, it's color a brilliant gold with a hint of orange. The change in color was something he noticed came with the change in the basic nature of his chakra.

The two clashed as streaks of light showered over the mountainous battlefield. Azazel clenched his teeth as he fought back the force of the sphere. In the end the two canceled each other out in a burst of light. The force from the clash shattered the mountain under them, throwing both Fallen Angels back away from each other.

Azazel smirked as he flew back at Naruto at full speed, his fist nearly clocking the blond across the face but was blocked at the last moment. What the leader of the Grigori didn't expect was a second Naruto appearing from behind the original and slamming his food into Azazel's side. 'Clones?!' Azazel thought to himself as he spun to correct himself in the air.

Taking a deep breath, Naruto drew on his newly transformed chakra. Azazel had expected a bellow of wind when Naruto exhaled, but not a volley of orange, red, and black orb. Compact bombs of magma rained down towards his opponent.

The elder Fallen Angel weaved through the molten downpour, doing his best from being caught in the attack. Forming a spear, he knocked one away before throwing it at Naruto's chest. Naruto flew over the attack but was caught by Azazel's punch to his stomach.

A rock hard forehead slammed into the older being's noses, causing it to crack from the force. "Fuck!" Azazel cursed as blood streaked from his nostrils.

A steaming hot fist caught his cheek, throwing him down towards the ground.

"RASENRENGAN!" Naruto shouted as he flew straight down towards the descending Fallen Angel with two orbs of spiraling golden chakra. Azazel wrapped his wings around himself as he couldn't avoid in time.

It was like two drills were trying to tear their way through his black wings. Shredded pieces of feathers scattered through the wind as Naruto slammed the man into the stone earth below with enough force to cause a small earthquake throughout the region.

Azazel blew his wings open, knocking Naruto back with a gust of wind before sending several spears of light at him. Streaks of gold shot at the blond at blinding speeds. Crossing his fingers, hundreds of clones appeared in the air between him and the spears, acting as body shields to stop each attack. A field of smoke blocked Azazel's view as each clone exploded the moment it was hit by a spear of light.

With his guard up, Azazel waited for Naruto's next attack. As the smokescreen faded away he noticed that the blond was completely gone.

He barely felt the ground under him shift before Naruto erupted out with an uppercut to his chin. The force lifted the Governor of the Fallen Angels off the ground before he spun into a kick to Azazel's stomach.

Quick on the pursuit, Naruto rushed in with another Rasengan in hand, this one whipping up more wind than previous ones before.

Not wanting to be hit by the orb of wind, Azazel created a barrier of light between himself and Naruto right as he went for the attack. A hurricane of winds swirled around them as Naruto pushed Azazel back until he slammed against the base of a mountain.

Azazel grits his teeth as he felt himself getting pinned against the rock. Naruto smirked as he figured he had the old man beat before a beam of light tore through the barrier from Azazel's side.

The beam pushed Naruto far from Azazel, into the peak of another mountain.

A middle-aged man observed as the two flew around clashing with each other. The man was rather gruff looking with black hair and a matching beard and a muscular body. Huge bursts of wind blew against him as the blurs collided. "Those two aren't pulling any punches." He said to himself while watching the fast-paced battle. "I can't believe that kid is keeping up with Azazel."

Azazel had been tight-lipped about the origins of the blond. He'd only ever told him the basics of it all. He'd appear one day and he decided to make him a member of their group. He hasn't interacted much with the blond since he arrived in Kuoh. Azazel seemed to quickly trust the boy but he wasn't as quick. He didn't know enough about Naruto either.

Naruto almost crashed into him when Azazel threw him away.

"Watch out Baraqiel!" Azazel laughed before a clone of the blond snuck up behind him and hammered his hands down onto the top of his head.

"As much as this is fun to watch, business calls Azazel," Baraqiel called out to his superior.

"Oh, it's !" Naruto commented as he pulled himself out of the ground and dusted off some dusted rock.

Baraqiel's face fell at the nickname that the blond hand assigned to him. His head mechanically turned towards Azazel with a deadpan look on his face. "You told him?" He asked, knowing the answer already.

"He wanted to know about our leadership," Azazel replied with a casual shrug, not really caring.

Baraqiel groaned, running his hand over his face before becoming serious once again. "Anyways, you have a meeting coming up with the Yokai faction," he told the two.

Azazel looked at Naruto and smirked, a sense of dread slowly overcoming the blond.
